I think Yoon Ja Yoo went public because she wanted to protect the company and their research, cuz she knows the…
I felt like the only reason she hadn't gone public already was because the law did not allow it. that's why she told the PM to repeal the law if he wants the research. I know her dream and I support it but only if the cultures don't change the person. I don't think the super powers were planned, but now that they're here, I don't believe anyone should have them. I also get that ML was an emergency case, so I hope she can work out these kinks now that there's a living test subject.

I think both prime minister and his father are physically ill and they both want to live free from this illness
that would make a lot of sense. I wonder if it's genetic, but then the grandfather would have it too. I'm very curious to see how this all plays out, but they could also just be 2 rich jerks who want to live forever.

Thoughts at ep 7. I understand FL's pov about the cultured food and organs, but I feel like until they can make it so that the organs are exactly the same as regular organs, it's irresponsible to try and push this through to the public. Forget living forever, who wants to live in a world where some people have super powers? Human beings are not deserving of such power and it would only lead to extreme chaos. I can live with ML being the 'mutation' and only one with super powers but trying to make this public now is just the mad scientist in FL.

I'm also curious about the prime minister and his father. Did he inherit his father's dream of immortality, or are they unknowingly on parallel paths? There will be a clash ahead if they actually want this just for themselves cos it's obvious his father doesn't mind sacrificing family to achieve his goal.

Finally... They're getting hacked AGAIN?????????? Why isn't security tougher? Why aren't they prepared for this? Why????

I think I missed the detail on why Eunseong so obsessed with Haein? was there story behind?
they never said. it seemed he was fixated on her partly because her family was why his mother left him, and partly because she defended him and was nice to him when they were kids which was something he'd never experienced before.

Yoon Eun Seong was really his mother's son cos both of them lost their entire minds when the object of their obsession slipped out of their reach. For the mother, she never loved anything or anyone as much as money so seeing it all being taken away must be like a living hell. I only wish Eun Seong had been punished for his crimes rather than that quick death, but I'm also glad he was taken out of the equation completely for our leads' peace of mind.

I absolutely adore Hae In and Hyun Woo being happy finally. I kept saying from the start that all I wanted was a miracle cure and a happy ever after, and I got it so I'm satisfied. It was quite dramatic in the end, but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Heck, even Grace and Hae In's mother managed to worm their way onto my good side. Almost all the characters had great development (except the psychos), and that's always what I want in a drama.

By ep 34, much like Chenghuan, I've come to accept her mother as an imperfect being so she bothers me less and less and I can simply overlook her most of the time.

I have to say, I have been impressed with Xu Kai in this drama for the way he delivered the underlying anger and loneliness that haunted Zhiming. The relationship between Zhiming and his father, while only briefly shown was so well portrayed on both sides.

Overall, I think I enjoyed Chenghuan and Zhiming's relationship alot, especially their respect for each other's lives and work. I also enjoyed Chenghuan's decision to approach everything with love and patience first, even though she was always ready to kick ass when needed.

Title Best Choice Ever Spoiler
Chenghuan's mother is so unrelenting in her stupidity. She claims she cares about her children but she never listens to them and immediately blows up and blames them when things don't go exactly the way she wanted. She loves pointing out, LOUDLY, how miserable her life has been and how useless their father is. She screeches at the slightest inconvenience. She wants everyone to provide for her like she's entitled to some sort of fealty from the world for simply existing. She is, in a word, EXHAUSTING.

But the worst part about all of it is the way everyone around her just enables her behaviour. She never apologized for trying to force Huan to marry for money, or for slapping Huan when she refused to be sold to that family to appease her mother. As far as she's concerned, she's never done anything wrong in her entire life and everyone is against her, and they just let her keep going. I'm at ep 23 now and there's no hint of this woman learning any lessons which makes me believe that she will inevitably do something much worse in the coming episodes, because the writer has decided that trying to force her daughter into marriage for money and then physically assaulting her daughter for having the gall to refuse is simply not enough. Maybe she needs to actually murder someone before some kind of lesson will seep into her brain?

This drama was such a pleasant surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The acting and directing were on point and I liked all the characters, even the villains (except NF. NF can kick rocks for eternity). A solid drama for me. Highly recommended.

The grandfather's mistress is hilarious cos how is she mad at her son for chasing a woman above all else, when that's the strategy she used to ruin the family? Karma has a funny way of coming around.

I can feel Hae In's fear and desperation, not knowing if she can trust what's in front of her eyes any more, and not knowing when her body will betray her next. I don't agree with her stubborn wish to keep Hyun Woo far away but I'm sure she'll eventually change her mind on that too.

RIP grandpa. You weren't worth much, but your family actually loved you for some reason, so I guess you did at least one good thing in life. I wonder if the exiled son will return now that the old man is dead. I'm also looking forward to the final stretch we're entering now. They better find a miracle cure for Hae In QUICKLY, and let me have some peace of mind.

Oh, and I'll say this may be the first time I'm not mad at the "they knew each other as children" trope.

I'm only up to ep 10 but 2 things I find very amusing are first that Hua Zhi was the first to sell candied hawthorns (which I love), and secondly that they expect me to believe she thinks there are up to 2 men as tall as HYT in her radar. The secret identity falls apart when you have someone as distinct as HYT in the role. Literally every person on screen has to look up at him lol.

The reason he seemed to be solely focusing on revenge against Soo Hyun was because he wanted to distract Kim Joon.…
The person who hit his mother also did so accidentally and was released. Why didn't he accept that? Why did he hound their family and refuse to let it go? I didn't say he should celebrate his father's death. I said he went through the same thing and it never occurred to him that there may be more to the story.

Exposing her cheating husband by trying to force her elderly mother to deal with it seems unhinged to me, maybe you don't see that as a big deal and that's fine. Also, involving her sister's scumbag bio mom to cause more distress was only to further wreck the family.

At the end of the day, it's a just kdrama and it's never that deep. This is probably the most I've ever thought about this drama and it's already tiring lol.

Yoon Eun Seong has to be the most delusional man in kdramas right now. How did he really think it was going to go? Hae In would marry someone who threatened her and they'd live happily ever after? I absolutely loved the climax of ep 10. I enjoyed Hae In putting everything out there so she can't be blackmailed or threatened again. I just wish I knew for certain that everything would be alright in the end.

I also love how we keep finding out what a badass Hyun Woo is. Now if we finally get the two of them properly communicating and sharing everything next week, I'll finally be happy.

The reason he seemed to be solely focusing on revenge against Soo Hyun was because he wanted to distract Kim Joon.…
He was there when his father was arrested and put on trial for running over a child with his car. He was also there when his father was released with no punishment. At the very least, he knew his father killed her son and didn't get punished, which is exactly what happened to the driver who hit his mother. He didn't need to know more about that driver to know that it was wrong for him to go free after hitting someone. The same thing applies with his father. He doesn't need to be next level evil for it to be beyond wrong that he gets to go home happily after killing a child.

Also, Kim Joon only knew about the pics when he gave them to him. It's not like Kim Joon was having him watched 24/7 for him to put on this elaborate scheme of getting revenge on Soo Hyun. That's just a choice he made. He spent so much time following up on Soo Hyun's every move and paying off people to watch her in prison, to deceive Kim Joon? She already got more of a punishment under the law than his father did but he didn't see anything wrong with his father not being punished for his own crimes.

Finally, if he wasn't trying to ruin Soo Hyun's life, why did he keep going after her mother when he didn't get the reaction he wanted from Soo Hyun?

Nothing about collecting evidence about Kim Joon meant he had to dedicate that much time and energy into ruining Soo Hyun's life after prison. Kim Joon didn't even know he was doing all that so that's a weak excuse.

Also want to add that I'm now almost certain that the thing Kim Joon showed Su Ho to get him to back off was actually evidence of Soo Hyun leaving the gate open. I think he dropped it at that time because it would have completely broken her to know that she really did that, especially when she already blamed herself for Gunwoo's death. I came to this conclusion cos they still haven't revealed what it was and that is the only thing that will shake Soo Hyun at this stage.

So we find out that Seon Yul's father was actually more despicable than originally thought. No surprise there, really.

If Soo Hyun didn't copy the contents of the tablet into at least 3 different backup sources immediately, I'm going to give this a 6/10 no matter what. I will not forgive that level of negligence when she knows who the enemy is. It was really sad to hear her son's last moments and hear him scared and calling for his mother while those evil men calculated how to end his life. Kim Joon needs to suffer a fate worse than death.

The thing with Soo Hyun's mother having a mental break seems so far out of left field. Like, why introduce this at this point? What exactly are we trying to achieve here? Hasn't that poor woman been through enough?

AND, once again, I find more reasons to be annoyed with the revenge scheme from Seon Yul. He went through exactly what Soo Hyun went through with the man who hit his mother. The man got off with nothing and he was ready to commit murder. But Soo Hyun was supposed to accept a nothing verdict for the man who killed her son??? The fact that he could also have gone much further with solving the mystery of his mother's accident if he'd not spent all that time and energy on that revenge scheme also irks me.

Anyway, re: ep 11, I'm so tired of Su Ho still hiding things from Soo Hyun. I thought she was going to stumble into some of his secrets in the house but I guess we still have at least one bombshell to drop.

Also, I hope this is the last time I have to listen to Seon Yul talking about not forgiving Soo Hyun cos, again, your father killed a child and mocked the dead child's mother. I'm very curious about why his mother was recording her phone calls though. That's not a default setting of the phone and it doesn't seem like something you do just for fun when you're in that generation.
