My thoughts exactly. The plan would have worked if they had done the change half way, and I was expecting that…
Since they stopped at that place and the girl was meant to be one of her servants anyway, I feel like it could have been accomplished. They just went about it in the worst possible way. They could still have had her run away and all they would have heard back home was that one of the servants ran away and the assumption would've been that she was scared to go to Qing since everyone would've seen the princess actually leave for Qing.
Also, I really need to commend the kids playing the young royals. Their performances have been among the most moving in the drama. I've really enjoyed watching them, especially the young Grand Prince.
I was certain the substitution would happen at the midway point. Why on earth would they do it at the palace when anyone could and indeed did notice? I expected it to happen along the way to Qing so that the Princess could really be free and that they would have people waiting for her on the way. It was a good plan to substitute her but very poorly executed and now everyone who is actually blameless will get in trouble.
I can't imagine them getting past this without at least one person being killed or exiled, likely the Queen. She lives such a pitiful life as queen and really doesn't deserve any of this. I also expect Mong Woo to be exiled or something so that Hee Soo can return and I would like that to happen sooner rather than later.
Lee In really said no need to question these feelings and just went for it. Love that for them cos the knife in his heart will be that much deeper once the revenge plot starts coming together and the reveal eventually happens. I'm looking forward to new episodes even more now
Ak Hee is such a lovable menace. He's chaos personified and if/when Sajo Hyun can finally face his trauma and unite both sides of his personality, he'll be unstoppable. Park Ji Hoon is doing an amazing job in this role and I'm really enjoying watching him.
This show is equal parts ridiculous and captivating. I'm having too much fun with it even though some of the wigs have me dying of laughter too. I love it!
I thought we all knew JeongMin was in on it when he saw blood in the bathroom and didn't say anything about it. Plus he was literally leading Jian down the path to the business by her nose. I'm really enjoying this show, and I really like the killers who are ridiculous but also competent enough to be a real threat. Also, Minhye is an actual goddess and I love her.
I hope Jian kicks JeongMin's behind and I hope it happens soon.
I had so much fun watching this! I don't know what compelled me to check it out, but I'm glad I did. I loved the way the food was presented and the anime-like ways they approached cooking and excelling in the culinary world. I was also intrigued by the mystery of Gaku's transformation which I found very relatable in the end.
It was the self-sacrifice olympics to the very end but I'm used to that with this genre. I had a blast watching this drama and exchanging thoughts here with some of y'all.
I was anxious about whether we'd get to see the wedding of the season and I'm glad they delivered cos Hong Yi and Yan Shuang deserved nothing less. Everyone got a nice little happy ending, even the dreaded peacock (happy enough ending, I suppose).
I'm looking forward to my next obsession now that this is over but I will be rewatching some scenes over and over, like Yan Shuang showing up in the demon realm and calling herself queen of the demons 😍 *chef's kiss*.
I'm in love with Petty Queen Feng Yin. She makes me giggle and do a little happy dance anytime the Phoenix makes a grand entrance and the peacock is forced to stew in envy!
Today's episodes were fun. I'm not against Feng Yin and Yuan Qi getting married, in fact, I'm more like Feng Yin's master watching everything and laughing from the sidelines. I have been a strong critic of Yuan Qi's shitty decisions in the past and he's going in the right direction now. I'm looking forward to more of the dream team working together.
I love Feng Yin cos she's not just smart, powerful and calm, but she's also very, very petty. The rain on Yuan Qi's head was so funny to me cos she pretends she doesn't care anymore but that was pure pettiness 😂 I was wondering if Feng Yin would put the disguise aside to attend the birthday banquet but it seems she didn't? We're in the home stretch now so I expect all the twists and turns as the mysteries get unravelled.
As usual, I truly cannot wait for Hua Shu to fall on her face in public. She and her useless father deserve nothing good.
Is this messenger girl Hong Yi sent to give a message to Yan Shuang evil? Because the way she relayed the message…
This! I was asking the same thing. She straight up lied about the message like she had a different agenda. I also don't know where that random guy materialized from with his umbrella. It all seemed too convenient when the only reason Yan Shuang was there was because of the message error.
Yuan Qi, Yuan Qi... This whole thing is giving TMOPB vibes especially with all the tribulations and the reawakening of Feng Yin. I still think Yuan Qi should've saved his god powers to find and punish all the devilish immortals, esoecially that peacock and her useless father.
I wonder if Feng Yin remembers her time as A Yin since she made a point of saying she remembers all her lives in the past 1000 years. I wonder if she decided not to talk about that just yet. I'm looking forward to everyone finding out that Feng Yin and A Yin bear a striking resemblance.
I finally got to a point where I can't defend Yuan Qi. He should have stood his ground against the immortals at that moment because it was clear they just wanted to kill A Yin. Also, saying he would destroy Ningyun Mountain when she had already lost Daze was so low. He should've known that there would be no explaining after that cos A Yin would rather die than live in a world where her home was destroyed twice.
Also, at that point, everyone knew the devils were involved so I don't understand why he couldn't just say no. My position before was that he was making the best choices based on the information he had, but even after knowing the truth, he still let himself be manipulated into harming A Yin. Then 1000 years later, he didn't even do anything to punish the peacock that was responsible for the destruction of A Yin's core? That's that thing these dramas love to do where the ML claims he has to be impartial but in reality he's just letting the bad person thrive for no reason. I was truly disappointed in Yuan Qi for the first time but also, he deserves the pain of knowing he did that to A Yin and he may never see her again.
I don't blame Yuan Qi either and I feel bad for him too. He's in a tough spot. With all the decisions he's made…
Maybe there was a translation difference but from what I saw, he seemed to say that he "once" regretted meeting her. I do think he worded it that way on purpose because it is true and he wants her to turn away from him. I think at this point he's willing to sacrifice his relationship with her if it will keep her safe. I also think he's putting distance between them so that the other immortals will leave her alone.
None of that is good for A Yin's heart, but unfortunately we have to watch her go through hell for a while longer.
Huashu is detestable but her father is on a whole other level,i mean who manipulates their own daughter like that…
The way he lies to her and uses her tells me that he would definitely sacrifice her for power. He doesn't care about her beyond what she can do for him and the moment she outlives her usefulness, he will cast her aside.
Unpopular opinion, but I don't think there's anything else Yuan Qi could do right now when the evidence points one way and the only thing he has to hold onto is A Yin's testimony. If he didn't believe her, he wouldn't be investigating on his own but he can't just say well, this girl everyone knows I like says something different so you can all go kick rocks. That's what the peacock wanted from the emperor and we all agreed that was rubbish. The only reason we're on A Yin's side now is cos we know the truth as viewers and we also love her character.
I'm looking forward to the truth coming out but I can only imagine the heartbreak before then.
Lady Hong is hilarious, cos how is she gonna use the peacock against A Yin when Gu Jin literally fell in love with A Yin while he was supposedly down bad for the peacock? That dusty ship has sailed a long time ago 🤣 not to mention that Gu Jin has seen just how sly and self-serving the peacock is, AND he's already halfway back in love with A Yin.
I like that A Yin has her own agenda going on besides Gu Jin and I'm enjoying how she just charms everyone except the crazies. In fact, A Yin should be the metric to know if a character is good or bad cos if they can't get along with her, they must be nasty from the inside out.

Highly recommend!
