I just think if Lee Tae really cared that much about YJ's safety, he would've left her alone, instead of stringing her along all these years only to be inevitably caught in the act by his no. 1 enemy. He could have had someone give him updates about her, without actually seeing her, or literally anything that did not involve constant contact with someone who's not supposed to exist. I would've had more fun with it if he didn't put her in this precarious situation for no reason at all.

I am curious about the left state councillor and his oddball family. His wife is as coldblooded and manipulative as he is, but somehow their son seems like a decent fellow. Interesting.

The only person I'm rooting for right now is Yoo Jung because all she did was literally exist and she keeps getting dragged into rubbish because of other people's selfish ambitions and cowardice (and stupidity).

I would absolutely love a spinoff/prequel show about Hei Feng Xi and Bai Feng Xi adventuring in the martial arts world together. I want to see when they met and when HFX fell in love with BFX, and all the times they had to escape near-death because of her antics 😂

HC wants the people to be safe and happy etc, but only if he's the one at the top. Basically, he's tired of having to answer to an emperor that he thinks is unworthy, and if FLX can defeat him then he can rule instead.

I assumed he was referencing the talk they had the first time they met when they had a misunderstanding about BFX, but I do sometimes feel like scenes are missing too.

I feel like HC won't even care about YWY's secret agenda as long as it gives him what he wants. He's mentioned several times now that YWY seems a little too into the death and destruction but he's not really concerned because he has only one thing on his mind.

There is, but they haven't spent much time together so it's not much.

I'm only on episode 8 but I'm going to have to space this out cos binging it is making me mad.

Xun Xu is supposed to be very smart, if a little naive about the world, and yet he allows himself to be used and manipulated in some of the most obvious ways and it makes my blood boil. I'm currently hanging on solely for Chen Gong because he at least, is smart and capable. His mission intruiges me the most and he's working with only his wits and sheer luck 😂

But Chen Gong is such a good time 😂

I started doubting his genius status when he carried a whole spy master into their intelligence base 😫

I guess no one warned Xun Xu about the honeypot cos he really jumped in head first with zero hesitation. I'm really intrigued and I have no idea who the spy is, but at episode 7 I'm on the side of Wei. The Shu state seems more interested in internal sqabbles and power grabs so they deserve to have their secrets stolen.

Yeah, but they said very specifically that it was stolen from that incident like they'd talked about it before? Maybe I'm wrong but it just seemed like some other scene was edited out and they hoped we wouldn't notice.
Edit: I went back to watch the scene and BFX talks about a mysterious man that they discovered who stole Sacred Jade Moon through the incident with Feng Qiwu. That's why it stood out to me, cos we haven't heard that they were tracking a mystery man or even that they noticed the theft.

I feel like I must have missed something cos I was so surprised when BFX & HFX brought up the way YWY stole the Sacred Jade Moon. I didn't know they knew that at all. Did they discuss this before?

I also have to stop watching the trailers cos I just watched those for eps 31-36 and now I'm sad.

Exactly. I'm sure they're the only ones not trying to kill each other or take over the whole world.

Initially, I was concerned about the story only following HFX and his family struggles but now it makes more sense, cos BFX really has the best family and nothing to worry about at home. Her fights are either connected to her sect or HFX so I can understand focusing on him and his journey. BFX is essentially a perfect character and while that may be boring sometimes, I like her in this instance.

I'm also just really tired of the HFX's father and I hope his precious queen and her son murder him cos its what he deserves. I would wish for his entire legacy to turn to dust too, but it's also HFX's legacy 😡 I don't know why these kings ever bother to have children when all they do is harbour hate and jealousy for their children. I look forward to his demise.

Finally, how fortuitous that the sect leader happened to meet the one person with the information that he needed in the dungeon. At least they didn't get thrown in jail for nothing! 😂

Yeah, I noticed that and I want to see more of it going forward. I'm sure it'll be like whiplash for her but if he stays sincere she'll get the message eventually. I also wonder about the mysterious woman who's surely coming to stir things up some more. She may even be the reason OHB decides to give the lawyer a chance.

I'm hoping that now that GTS realizes he likes OHB he'll calm down with the childish behaviour. He should be able to get that under control now that he understands why he's been acting that way towards her (I really hope). It was cute at first but now I'm as annoyed as OHB any time he pops up 😫

I agree that it would be nice if she dates the lawyer first, but only cos I think it's surely too early for the leads to make any sort of progress cos it'll just end up being either a too-long courtship or a problem-filled relationship, and my anxiety can't deal with either of those.

Then this would've been a great opportunity for the writer to show that they're not ignorant, I think. Also, yes, if he's doing volunteer work, I would expect them to say exactly where he is, especially since they're very particular about being specific with everything else.

It may seem like "just another mentality" to you, but we're kind of tired of the racism (explicit and implicit) that usually underlies this kind of ignorance.
