After doing absolutely nothing to help Tol get Tin back: Jinta: I've been helping you alotMe: How, when, where🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol. But Jinta has done way more for Tol than he ever did for Tin cos at least he's the reason the notebook is with Tol now. But of course he's always so cryptic and annoying 😩
It's almost as if CSS's mother would've preferred for her to really be half dead when they finally returned from the battlefront. She doesn't acknowledge CSS's resilience or street smarts, considering how her aunt deliberately made sure she didn't receive an education, and never has a kind word to say to the child who was tortured all through her childhood and teenage years. I get that her mother is a soldier but from the way she treats her niece, it's obvious that she can be affectionate and understanding. It's sad to see CSS believe that she has to be a certain way in order to receive any kind of love from her own mother, when that's all she's dreamt of while in hell.
How did they make almost all the women in this show so annoying apart from Yu Mi? Lol. I enjoy Yu Mi's cells, especially when they're in panic mode. It's fun binging this show so I can watch season 2 and I've somehow managed to avoid all spoilers about both seasons so it's a nice, new experience.
I was so satisfied with the punishment that OYX received and I expect that he will suffer for years to come. The Empress redeemed herself in the end and the wonderful thread of women supporting women continued to be woven through out this story. I know there were complaints that Pan Er was too perfect, but I found her so refreshing, and a joy to support.
In the end, I don't believe there was a wasted character, and even Chi Yan grew on me. Does anyone else think SYZ will give him a chance? I believe he has grown enough to at least be allowed to ask her out properly 😂
Although we didn't get to see Qianfan and Pan Er get married (I think those scenes may have been victims of editing), but seeing Sanniang get the wedding ceremony and husband that she deserved actually brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad her son learned his lesson in the end so her happiness was complete.
I can't wait to binge this entire show again because I know I will love these characters for a very long time.
Ep 36Chi and ZPE relationship is so good now. Love their back and forth, they feel like really good friends that…
I think Lei Jing serves whoever can further his career and let him keep power. GQF helped him make sure that Qi Mu, the Emperor and Duke Xiao were on his side so he'd leave GQF alone.
Ultimately, I enjoyed this season a lot, but I felt like we spent way too much time with some side characters instead of on the leads so I still feel a little dissatisfied. The last 2 episodes for me could've done with much less screentime for Ji Woo's ex girlfriend and as much as I love the little girl, I didn't need to see her and her mother so much either. Like, them talking about fried chicken for so long right after a scene of a frantic Ji Woo asking them if they saw Seo Joon was really weird.
I'm sure my opinion will soften when I rewatch it because watching week to week made it much harder to digest, especially when one considers how unpleasant Ji Woo was to Seo Joon. Anyway, it's over now and I'm happy it happened.
Just as I thought, JW couldn't eat the same dish he was serving to SJ. The threat of him not being able to take…
I wanted him to suffer some more but the moment he started crying and said he was begging, I lost my conviction. I'm glad they're happy but it does feel very much like a drama ending after all the talk of how 'realistic' the season has been.
Ouyang is brazen. He walks right up to the emperor, to talk to him. The man is crossing the line. The are palace…
Lol. CP seems to be his son but not there Empress' son? I'm not really clear on that but I think they mentioned that the Empress had to adopt him and they didn't want him to know she wasn't his real mother or something. I initially thought the Empress at least loved the Emperor but it's starting to look like all she cares about is power. Unfortunately even when the truth comes out, the Emperor will probably make excuses for her and find a way to save her because of love.
Surprisingly, Mu-deok and the crown prince make a fantastic pairing! I laughed so much at their scenes. I initially thought Mu-deok's family may have been killed because of the secret about Uk's birth, but maybe it was because of some soul shifting gone wrong. I'll need to watch the episode again it seems.
Master Lee must be incredibly old to be that powerful and the master of the old doctor. I hope he sticks around for a while longer.
Also, I wonder if the real Mu-deok isn't the one who cut off Naksu's energy since they seemed to show that her soul is still in that body, just inactive for now. I really want to know what's going on with both of them.

I thought the same but he seemed to have gotten help from the Emperor's consort. As for the promotion, they mentioned that it was a sideways move rather than upward, and to a remote area which he was desperate to avoid. I feel like this emperor is still better than a lot of these drama emperors cos at least he listens to different sides.
Do you mean when she flirted with SYZ's husband? I think it had less to do with her feeling too high, but rather…
SYZ was tricked into that marriage by a man who kept her chained like an animal, and barely fed. How could she leave her alone? How do you equate tricking him with what he did to SYZ? That's wild to me.
In episode 5, FL tries to wash her hands because she is disgusted of forcing herself to flirt with that man. It's…
Do you mean when she flirted with SYZ's husband? I think it had less to do with her feeling too high, but rather that she had to flirt with someone who she knew was a horrible, abusive, monster. I would take a full bath if I was forced to be that close to someone like him. She never shied away from her past and even in her business she used the skills she learned from her time as a dancer, but that particular man was disgusting and she had to force herself to put on that act in order to secure her friend's freedom.
I don't know about her tricking people left and right cos she never deceived anyone who didn't mean to harm her or her friends. She just outsmarts them and survives.
I was really worried that they'd have Pan Er go and beg OYX because of GQF but I should've had more faith in our team. I'm also really impressed with Gao Hui's character development to be honest. I didn't expect her to come back, but at least she served a good purpose. I really like everything that's been done with the women in the show.
I was so happy SYZ taught Sanniang's ungrateful son a lesson and I hope he's learned something now.
I'm looking forward to OYX's demise. I'm so thankful Pan Er dodged that bullet cos she would've been miserable with him.
Just finished ep 34, and once again, our Pan’er is so smart in handling the Emperor and in alluding the authenticity…
I knew she figured out who he was and I was so proud of the way she handled him. I really love her cos she thinks on her feet and always finds a way out.
The grand opening of Yong'an Restaurant was soooo good. I was so proud of our ladies and everything they've achieved so far. I wish we wouldn't have any more angst and drama cos it made me so happy to see them at the top of their game. Peak moment for me in ep 33 was He Si giving the performance of his life 🥰😂
Why couldn't she just push the old man down the stairs and be done with it? Also, how did she decide that walking around alone, at night was the best idea when she knew someone was targeting her? And how was he harassing her parents for so long and they didn't report him to the police? Shouldn't he have been arrested after breaking into their house more than once? So many silly choices tbh.
I find Chi Yan to be an unbearable bully. It's unfortunate that Pan Er keeps having to deal with him and I'd hoped he would become likeable at least but I just find everything about him annoys me. He acts like a child at every opportunity and is spoiled by everyone around him, so of course he would start beef with the only people who don't coddle him. He's the only other character apart from Ouyang Xu that I can't stand to watch.
In the end, I don't believe there was a wasted character, and even Chi Yan grew on me. Does anyone else think SYZ will give him a chance? I believe he has grown enough to at least be allowed to ask her out properly 😂
