I guess no one warned Xun Xu about the honeypot cos he really jumped in head first with zero hesitation. I'm really intrigued and I have no idea who the spy is, but at episode 7 I'm on the side of Wei. The Shu state seems more interested in internal sqabbles and power grabs so they deserve to have their secrets stolen.
I think they just realized when LanXi pointed it out that the assailant was using Sacred Jade Moon but doesnβt…
Yeah, but they said very specifically that it was stolen from that incident like they'd talked about it before? Maybe I'm wrong but it just seemed like some other scene was edited out and they hoped we wouldn't notice. Edit: I went back to watch the scene and BFX talks about a mysterious man that they discovered who stole Sacred Jade Moon through the incident with Feng Qiwu. That's why it stood out to me, cos we haven't heard that they were tracking a mystery man or even that they noticed the theft.
I feel like I must have missed something cos I was so surprised when BFX & HFX brought up the way YWY stole the Sacred Jade Moon. I didn't know they knew that at all. Did they discuss this before?
I also have to stop watching the trailers cos I just watched those for eps 31-36 and now I'm sad.
Initially, I was concerned about the story only following HFX and his family struggles but now it makes more sense, cos BFX really has the best family and nothing to worry about at home. Her fights are either connected to her sect or HFX so I can understand focusing on him and his journey. BFX is essentially a perfect character and while that may be boring sometimes, I like her in this instance.
I'm also just really tired of the HFX's father and I hope his precious queen and her son murder him cos its what he deserves. I would wish for his entire legacy to turn to dust too, but it's also HFX's legacy π‘ I don't know why these kings ever bother to have children when all they do is harbour hate and jealousy for their children. I look forward to his demise.
Finally, how fortuitous that the sect leader happened to meet the one person with the information that he needed in the dungeon. At least they didn't get thrown in jail for nothing! π
His actions towards her has mellowed after the realization. Maybe he'll act childish again in jealousy when he…
Yeah, I noticed that and I want to see more of it going forward. I'm sure it'll be like whiplash for her but if he stays sincere she'll get the message eventually. I also wonder about the mysterious woman who's surely coming to stir things up some more. She may even be the reason OHB decides to give the lawyer a chance.
I'm hoping that now that GTS realizes he likes OHB he'll calm down with the childish behaviour. He should be able to get that under control now that he understands why he's been acting that way towards her (I really hope). It was cute at first but now I'm as annoyed as OHB any time he pops up π«
I agree that it would be nice if she dates the lawyer first, but only cos I think it's surely too early for the leads to make any sort of progress cos it'll just end up being either a too-long courtship or a problem-filled relationship, and my anxiety can't deal with either of those.
I get ur point, but he been there for a whole year ( according to the script)β¦ it might be he been all over…
Then this would've been a great opportunity for the writer to show that they're not ignorant, I think. Also, yes, if he's doing volunteer work, I would expect them to say exactly where he is, especially since they're very particular about being specific with everything else.
It may seem like "just another mentality" to you, but we're kind of tired of the racism (explicit and implicit) that usually underlies this kind of ignorance.

You shouldn't say you want to know why we, in Africa, think it was problematic if you're just going to ignore everything we say and tag us as overdramatic.
i'm tired of trauma, like sexual assault in ep 10, being shown as traumatic to male characters because a woman…
I'm really trying to understand your point but I'm struggling because I don't think the show has said male characters only feel pain when something traumatic happens to their loved ones? There's literally one male character who internalizes and feels everything connected to every case they've had from the beginning even when he doesn't know the people involved. Also, ep 10 would've been extremely weird if they had glossed over the impact of the assault on the victim's twin brother just because he's a man.
Using trauma women have gone through as catalysts for men to have character growth is a real problematic trope in cinema, but I didn't see that in this episode. I have my issues with this show, but I don't think this is something they did especially not here. The case was tough for all of them for different reasons but they focused on Ryung Goo because they're about to tell more of his story.
I knew how this show would end but it still took me some time to watch the final episode. The signs were all there from many episodes ago that Tofu would complete his mission and go back to being Nut's favourite emotional support teddy bear. I saw that coming but it still hurt a lot to watch his demise and see the pain Nut went through losing yet another person he loved. I'm okay with the end though because it's consistent with Tofu as a character.
As for him staying with Nut as a bear, while some may see it as cruel, I'm choosing to look at it from Tofu's pov - he gets to witness the person he loves the most actually be happy and live out his dreams finally. Before the miracle, Nut was all pain, rage and tears, but now Tofu gets to be with him while he's actually happy and filled with joy. I wondered about the editing because I couldn't tell how much time had passed after Tofu left, but I've read that there were many cut scenes that could've explained all that.
Overall, I really loved this drama. I will watch it again, but not right away cos I'm still in tears and will be for quite some time.
Oh! I was also really happy that Phrippri got a happy ending too and extra points for it being a gl pairing.
I swear sometimes it feels like the director and the editor quit halfway through the show and they got some interns to finish the job cos this show is a whole mess. I'm not gonna speculate about DM calling his ex one week before his wedding cos it's obvious that the writer just doesn't know what else to do and feels like there simply must be MORE DRAMA.
Meanwhile BHR being possessed is truly some of the most unhinged writing I've seen in a show in quite some time. Her inlaws debating whether to get the spirit out of her is always disgusting to watch because she's being violated everyday while they relax because they have the family they always wanted. I can't stand them.
I enjoyed seeing the newlyweds relax together, and I hope SPY and DM's wedding also goes off without a hitch.
Hear me out! I'm becoming increasingly comfortable with the idea of Tofu going back to a Teddy Bear and Nut Being…
I also would completely understand if Tofu went back to being a teddy bear. I'm starting to see this as a journey for Tofu as well because he needed to learn more about what it means to be human in order for him to really help Nut and Na. I would hate for him to go back but I wouldn't be mad about it.
I'm only mad about Ms Left Slipper being lost to the ether π
Yeah I found episode 13 very sad. Not sure I agree with the court's decision. Also think the kid should of spoken…
I also didn't agree with the death penalty in this case, but I realize that one person's outburst about bullying in the courtroom isn't really evidence for the judge to consider. If the prosecution had provided strong evidence of the bullying and recommended a different sentence, the judge may have gone along with that. Maybe if they'd had more time to investigate but they wanted a swift conclusion.
As for speaking up, I remember the superior who briefed NHY saying that the guy reported the bullying multiple times, but they just ignored him or made the bullies run laps. That's why he was stuck trying to tough it out in the end.
