Some of dreamlands sweetest male leads...
Juggling three boyfriends may sound like a dream but is pretty hard...To be honest I can hear all the voices saying if this were a man we would all be saying he is such a jerk but since it is a woman people seem fine with it... Well I like seeing women being portrayed as jerks and even if the story had its ups and downs this was overall a pretty entertaining drama with a pretty interesting and I dare say unexpected twist... And Well that is all I am going to say about it...
The acting could be better, the characters and drama are surprisingly simple yet complex and all the male leads are adorable and sweet and just the cutest little kitty type men that you just want to hug and squeeze their cheeks...
There are no annoying characters, but some more easy to love than others... It is short pretty okay to binge and I guess just good enough...

Sadly worse that I expected but with some really nice scenes
Song Kang did not impress me as an actor here as in Love Alarm or Nevertheless. Even in Navillera, he had his charm. I think it's because he's young and they're making him even younger. He's great in serious moments...I enjoyed them. Even the funny ones can be good and then there are embarrassing scenes that don't suit him and he knows it and everyone can see it..or not and it just bothers me. And I didn't like his hairdresser and make-up artist. The main female character was better. She thought appropriately, rationally, and soberly. In my opinion, the last episode was unnecessary. No creativity in how he came to life. Or should they let him die..he wouldn't be the first or the last. The side characters were awkward. I don't like this very much, it takes away points from the series, and people's IQ has just decreased. Fortunately, there were also negative characters and they balanced it out a bit more. I was expecting some secret story about the demon's son, but nothing. I missed it. At least there was a secret contract with the young woman's father..:)Was this review helpful to you?

So close
This one took me REALLY long to get through, and I'm not sure why. On paper it has everything I love — a strong female character, mental health, tragic backstories. But I really just couldn't connect to the female lead. Insecurity is something I understand, but when every other line out of her mouth was "did you do this with all your girlfriends?" or "are you breaking up with me?" or "are we even dating?" it just made her very overbearing and unlikable.
I really liked the main plot about JJY dealing with his abusive childhood, but it really could have come earlier. There were some subplots that I felt didn't really add much to the story, and more time could've also been dedicated to Hae-soo's sexual fears, which I thought was never addressed as much as I wanted it to. The second ship was also kind of out of nowhere for me and didn't make much sense.
Because of all those criticisms, I was pretty much stuck on episode 8 for months and just never felt the urge to watch. Once I did, it was the last few episodes where we really fleshed out JY's plot that really had me buy into the drama.
Ultimately, this was still a pretty good watch, though I'm surprised it's rated so highly. My favorite part is undoubtedly the OST.

Riveting in terms of story.
Grandiose in terms of cinematography.
Impeccable in terms of acting.
These three powerful features made Vanishing Time an absolute pleasure to watch. It’s in one word an ENIGMATIC JOURNEY.
The story was adapted from a book written by a child psychiatrist. Children are always imaginative and their mind is full of mischief, fantasy and limitless curiosity. The truism of Soo Rin’s story is questionable but even if it is purely based on her imagination, how amazing it is to see that her own world of fantasy is capable of creating such wonder. There was like a whole unknown planet inside her mind. When she interacted with another likeminded child of her age, Seong Min, both their imagination collided to create something magnificent.
Child psychology blended with fantasy is now my new penchant which I discovered after watching this movie. I have seen many fantasy movies but Vanishing time is just unparalleled with others. Getting confounded with the story is quite easy, nevertheless, the well maintained proper balance of quaint romantic emotions among the protagonists never let only the fantasy part fogging our brain. I could easily connect with their emotions. The magnanimity shown by the male protagonist till the end was simply endearing and the lapsed time would never allow their relationship to coincide which left a slight poignant feeling.
On another note, the cinematography of the movie is magical, dreamy and colourful suiting the tone of the movie. Acting was on par especially by the child actors. Always I prefer to see the children more than their adult version and what can I say ‘bout Kang Dong Wan. Any adjective to describe his acting ability would be an understatement. So I should refrain from that. I just want to say he’s a top notch classy actor. He knows what he’s doing and pour out his soul into his performance.
It is a well-directed, well scripted and well-acted movie though a bit equivocal in nature. I have few questions which are left unanswered. So instead of a full 10 I would give 9.
Don’t think twice about whether you should watch this movie or not. Just watch it if you’re a fantasy lover. Guaranteed you’ve never seen anything like this before.

Everyone needs a damn psychiatrist.
How can an 18-minute long extra episode be better written and far more interesting than the entire first season?I should start by saying that I'm a big fan of villains/antagonists in pretty much any type of media, so Lhong turned out to be a character I really enjoyed from a psychological perspective. I'm not a psychologist or anything of the sort, but I do enjoy reading and watching stories of the genre. If you ask me, I would've preferred to watch an hour long episode of him going through his personal life because I felt that the combination of depression, anger, and fear of abandonment that was showcased in this short episode was an excellent plot for him.
Many of you are very quick to judge this character and I see why, I mean, he has done absolutely terrible things, but he has also been led through a life of self-loathing and solitude, hating people because he thinks people hate him. Now listen to me: I DON'T support any of his actions due to the fact that they were simply WRONG, but it make sense why he did it when you think about it.
I am incredibly disappointed at the writers of this novel/drama because they turned something that had so much potential into a degenerated sexual assault and abusive relationships fanservice. It is absolutely AGGRAVATiNG how NONE of these character got ANY type of punishment for their actions. If this was me, I would have called the police on them bitches as soon as the first episode ended.
Please do not support these kind of stories. They do no good for the LGBTQ+ community.
Sincerely, a gay man who won't condone this type of behavior.
P.S.: Shoutout to the actor, though. He did an excellent job portraying his role as Lhong and I hope to see more of him in future dramas.

Packing List for a Time-Merge Expedition
Please bring along the following recommendations for an enjoyable journey.1. Only bring your essential brain function
Do not expect some in-depth murder/law/mystery genre. Leave that expectation at your front door. The romance was also a bit light but enough to placate this romance fan.
2. Three bowls
The first part of the drama was a bit rubbish, but somehow it sprinkled enough enticement for me to click to the next episodes. By the 9th episode, the story and the interaction amongst the characters were tighter and a lot more interesting. Then it went a little strange at the beginning of the final third of the story. The writers threw in some weird ingredients to make the story “spicy”. Thank goodness that did not last.
3. Leading Strings
Shipping the two leads was a bumpy journey. However, once the screaming and them flapping about at each other’s territory stopped, the two leads calmed and managed to blend into the story's rhythm nicely.
If you need assistance during your time-merge expedition, please do not hesitate to voice your concerns either in: 1) the MDL feeds, 2) this drama’s comments section, and/or 3) your family/friends.

It had the chance to be something better
Playlist resets its well known franquise "Love Playlist" with new cast, new songs, surprises but basic main story.Gonna start with what I like, the supporting characters had a good development and althought Tae Yong didn't have his love story with his friend, and it's okay cause we saw they are friends and both were respecftul with their feelings. 2022 was the year of BL, multiple producers doing mini dramas and Playlist had saw the potential and made it with a realistic way.
But now what I dislike, once again, the same old story.... We both like each other but you know, I don't wanna risk our friendship so let's keep being just friends... of course, I'll date someone that I find attractive while you cry in your room and get over of your feelings... but don't date other guys cause I'll realize I have feelings for you and will get jealous, oh and now that I got ride of the other girl, I want you back cause you were about to be happy with someone else---- That's the story here. I can't believe that after 12 episodes of FL character development at the end she ends up with that Do Yoon boy, I'm dissapointed but not surprised, it's the same old story.
Waste of time

Subtle and Calm Yet Profoundly Deep
Compared to its Japanese counterpart, Josee, the Korean version, is subtle, and slow. For the most part, you get to see how the lives of Josee (Han Ji Min) and Young Seok slowly intertwine. I honestly loved how the movie was calm and quiet yet it pierced through my heart. It was so heartfelt. I strongly recommend it to everyone who wants to see a great movie. Both Nam Joo Hyuk and Han Ji Min did a fantastic job portraying their characters.I must say Nam Joo Hyuk is really suited for melodramas. At the end of the movie, there was a scene where he was looking out the window. He had this sad look on his eyes, and I just wanted to hug him so bad. I cried so hard, seeing his face... Without saying a word, he was able to move me. I felt Young Seok's sadness and longing.
Overall, I can say that Josee is a movie with a profound emotional depth. Yes, the movie might have a lot of quiet moments, but that made it stood out. That's real life! It's not made up of big moments, but life is filled with quiet and intimate moments. It's the little things that make the biggest impact, and Josee was able to convey that message well. Props to the director and actors for a job well done. Josee is now on my list of favorite movies, and it will always be close to my heart!

Jang Tae Jun with more power than before starts his plans to change the world of today's politics by getting rid of the corruption in the house.
This, of course, proves quickly to be very hard and he and the people he trusts have to struggle. Every victory quickly becomes a loss. One step forward, two steps back.
A season that is even more heavy than the first but also has way more satisfying moments.
Is the ending worth the suffering you might endure watching this and the previous season? Yes definitely.
The acting is still as good, as well as the music.
Ps, this show has really made me think about how much of this is true to what happens behind politics in real life, quite a scary thought...

May be because I'm not into so serious stories.
It was fine, but too serious. I didn't cry, I didn't laugh. Only smiled at the end.
Fortunately, the end came out better than I thought I would be. I srated to unlike the strory as I found out who he really was. (On the other hand, if he hadn't been who he was, the movie would have lost it's main point I guess) But they drew out the ending just fine.
I loved those scenes in nature and I liked the music.
The main male actor was cute and I love his voice.
I think, that I start liking that movie more as I have closely felt the pain as I lose someone close. As I haven't yet, this story didn't touch my heart as much as someone else's, I guess.
Anyways, if you feel like you need to watch a serious move about losing someone (with an happy ending though), this is just for you. :)

Blue Gate Crossing is in a way your usual coming of age drama, but instead of focusing on romantic relationships, there’s a big empathize on the importance of friendship. It's not a very unique story, yet I can't name another film that has really touched on the subjects this film does. There’s flaws, but in a way those further presents an honest depiction of adolescent.
The film centers around a love triangle. To explain it simply, a girl likes a boy, the boy likes her best friend but her best friend might like her. This is the beginning of the main characters, Meng Ke Rou, journey to self discovery.
The dialogue is very simplistic but repetitive, which makes you remember it. A lot is expressed through acting and not verbally, that’s where the actors really shine. The cinematography is soft and beautiful, I particularly like the way the director has cut certain scenes in a way to tell us something more, so that’s something to look out for. All the characters are lovable, unique and easy to sympathize with despite what you’d think upon hearing the word ‘love triangle’.
I also want to add that the soundtrack is lovely. I believe it is composed by Chris Hou. It further brings out the very bright but soft vibe of the film. I remember that I cried the first time I watched this film and the music was a big part of that.
To point out something negative, the queer theme is not very overpowering and you should probably lower your expectations if you want to watch this film only for that. It’s the main driving force for the story, but it is not explored fully (as i’ve heard other people express, personally I think it shows a very realistic experience). The film is also slow paced, so beware of that.
All in all, Blue Gate Crossing captures teenage behaviour and the complexity of human relationships very well. I think most of us can remember when we first discovered new emotions we didn’t yet know how to handle, and this film captures that. I recommend you to watch it it if you're looking for something with a calm atmosphere that makes you reflect a little about life.

A leap away from reality - the fun kind!
What a beautifully conflicting series this was. I know I love it.. but do I? (I do).The series follows Day and Night, two people who were born on the same Leap Day, afflicted with a curse that kills one of their loved ones every four years, on their birthday. It just so happens, that on their 20th birthday, the two people they love the most Ozone, Day's brother and Dream, Night's girlfriend, escape the curse, because Day and Night meet. The story develops from there with these four characters trying to figure out what's causing the Leap Day curse to occur and how to stop it.
This story had more plotholes that cartoon cheese, but let's be honest, we've all wanted to try that cheese. And the imagination we had about how it would be to taste that cheese was almost as fun as eating actual cheese.. this metaphor has gotten out of hand.
Simply put, this story had so many plot holes and inconsistencies, I mean, they've gone beyond the laws of physics and whatever other theories that go into complicated science to invent all that they did for the plot.
The origins of the titular Leap Day are never really explained for one thing, that concept has just existed from the beginning of time I guess, like mosquitoes. You know they're there, you just don't know how they came into existence and why anyone would possibly think they were a good idea.
Once this was revealed in episode 8 or so, I was floored. The entire plot is "why is this happening to us and how do we stop it". You've taken the why out of the equation, then you better have a brilliant how. But that was also just so.. bleh.
They just spent so much time running around aimlessly at first trying to figure out why this was happening, and once it was revealed they would never know, they spent way too much time running around aimlessly trying to figure out how to stop it. There was some development in the form of two supporting characters, who also had/have/will have the Leap Day curse, but again, every theory they were coming up with felt like extreme nonsense or something they came up with as a last ditch attempt.
I mean.. there was so much of an emphasis on Ozone's role in the story only for it to ultimately get reduced to his drawings, which apparently held enough clues to evade this curse. Based on those drawings, they came up with a truly insane plan, because the drawings were basis enough I guess. I absolutely did not like how much of their solutions were based on random guesses and theories with no proof. Much like the writers, the characters just said "Su Su!" and went for it.
And that ending? Completely wrecked me. Totally unsatisfying and left me in tears, and I was pissed. Honestly, incensed. The set up was non - existent, the reveal was so out of left field and I was enraged at the choice they made, because by no means did that make sense to me, nor was it what I wanted. Maybe it made sense, I don't know, I was just way too emotional to see reason despite the fact that all I had done for 11 episodes was try to make sense of everything.
But honestly, it was kind of.. good? Yes the entire setting (including the very basis of Day and Night's Leap Day, like the curse math was not mathing. The story said that they have one person they love die on their every birthday, and that both their mothers died giving birth to them. Ozone and Dream were supposed to be the victims of the curse of their 20th birthdays. That means, five other deaths before their 20th birthdays, but they only showed four? Constantly! Make it make sense).
Anyways.. the entire setting was complete nonsense and I have genuinely over analyzed something I enjoyed because the truth is, I enjoyed it. The lack of consistency and the gaping plot holes did make me mad each episode, but sometimes you just have to dissociate all that when you're watching and it was fun.
The story moved at a decent pace, the acting was really good and I was emotionally invested throughout the run in Day and Ozone's bond. They're one of the best pair of siblings I've come across in dramas and their bond with each other was the sweetest thing. I would watch 12 episodes of the two of them just living their lives because it was that sweet.
Which is where they absolutely get you - not through the solid plot or the incredible CGI (neither were that good), it's through those emotions you feel for the leads. You're just so invested in their attempts to fix their situation that you get as desperate as they are for a happy ending. You root for them, you cry with them, you want them to see it through.
And that's why despite all that I found the series to be lacking in, I can say it's something worth watching. As with everything, liking it or not is entirely personal preference, but if you're looking for a fresh premise, some decent story building and incredible emotional depth in a story, definitely give Leap Day a try.

This film mainly focuses on the hardships of Japanese women during war and the pressures placed by society that they must endure. The true message to this plot is that war does not create heroes, but more or less, victims.
**Warning** This film involves many sex scenes, and uncomfortable images. This is more geared towards a mature audience.
Shigeko Kurokawa fabulously puts on a brave performance of the husband's wife who was nominated and also won awards in result. As well, Tadashi Kurokawa's portrayal of his character is genuinely moving.
Caterpillar's hard messages and out of this world acting will take a toll on you even after the credits of the film. I strongly recommend this to those who are mature enough to withstand the sex scenes and gain a deep understanding on the issues that lie in layers.

The story's logical. It's not like they were just randomly put into a forest so props to them for making it logical. They do well on focusing on one single plot so that things aren't everywhere. Episodes are spent to establish each character's story / side. They did really good on this. You may think something on one of the episodes and then on the next one we see another other side of the story. Factors like society, hierarchy and responsibility play a part in the narration. I like the whole "seemingly middleschool / highschool setting but actually a glimpse of a small existing corruption in the society" thing that was going on.
The acting's good as they are playing students. There were different types of reactions to the situation they're put in so I guess you could say it satisfies all viewers. Their acting is also all on the same level so no one really sticks out. The 'adults' acting was great. They did well in pissing me off most of the time & seeing how they were supposed to be a stressful factor in the narration, I'd say their acting felt realistic.
It wasn't a memorable soundtrack but it did its part. Felt the jumps when needed. Played the fear card when needed. It was a typical thriller soundtrack; the momentum builds and you're all excited to see the reveal. Never missed a beat so I'd say soundtrack was good.
Only problem is if you watch all the episodes at once you'll kinda skip things cause they either do a long review of the previous episode or drag it out. Each episode tries to establish the same feelings as you got from the previous episode then get on with the current episode's motive, which could get annoying if you're watching all the episodes at once. *I kind of understand this though, cause it was a show that played one episode per week so if you were watching in real time, you may have forgotten what happened last week.
Rewatch value @ 5/10 - cause once you know what happens you can't really rewatch it with the same feelings nor is it a great thriller to be rewatching. Nonetheless it was a good thriller (for the weekends - cause you may just want to relax / you're bored/ just need something to watch in the background).
