USB findings

Jin figured out where the USB drive was and they now had evidence. They did not view everything but they saw enough to understand why the doc wasn’t willing to give up the info and how heinous this was to be blackmailed with. They successfully hypnotized her to confess to the murders and one drop of blood on the scalpel proved she did it. Jin made a choice to destroy the drive to end the harm it could do. The reporter offered him a chance to swap the drive for the story about his mother. I think this convinced him that nobody should have what the drive contained. It was a wise and mature decision because he could have easily won his dad’s campaign for him had he wanted to. When Jin visited the doc in jail I was unhappy because I knew he would be hypnotized. But reflecting on it, she determined to protect her patients to the point of killing for them when their privacy was broken by thieves. And the fact that he willingly allowed her showed he needed to know no matter the consequences. So now Jin is seeing through the eyes of his seven year old self and his mom in the tub. He will be broken with this information. The real question is to what extent? Lee thinks it is too much for him to stay on the team and she had to listen to Jin thank her for not kicking him out. I do not know if she wavered in her decision to have him removed but whatever she decided was what she thought best for him.

Strong Story, Shaky Execution

Episode 2 of The Earth strengthens the narrative’s intent and leans more confidently into its central relationships. We see the characters beginning to deepen in meaningful ways, and the story tries to balance emotional beats with plot momentum. That said, the execution isn’t always steady. Some moments land beautifully, while others feel uneven — like the show is still figuring out its rhythm and how to connect its themes in a satisfying way. It’s a mix of promise and questions, which makes for a review worth writing… and reading. The story’s direction is starting to take shape, but whether its delivery will keep pace is still unresolved in this episode.👉 I unpack the highs, the missteps, and what might still make this series worth your watch in my full review here: https://bit.ly/4q92Wte

A Promising Setup Still Looking for Its Spark

4 Elements: The Earth opens with a setup that feels familiar yet full of quiet promise. Episode 1 introduces us to grounded characters and a slow-burn rhythm that lets emotional stakes take shape without rushing in. The chemistry and world-building hint at layers worth unpacking. There are moments that resonate — subtle beats of connection, flashes of personality, and early world cues that make you want to stick around. But at this stage, The Earth still feels like it’s finding its spark — the core emotional hook hasn’t fully lit up yet, and the pacing leaves you wondering where the story ultimately wants to land. All in all, Episode 1 offers enough intrigue to pull you deeper, even if it hasn’t shown all its colors just yet.👉 I dive deeper into what worked, what feels unresolved, and why this setup could pay off later in my full review here: https://bit.ly/4r6JRsw

Two deaths, a psychiatrist and a series of blackmail

This episode revolved around an eerie dehydration death, a murder and a hospital linking them together through a psychiatrist and blackmailer. The psychiatrist they spoke to knew Jin but didn’t say so. She did, however, speak to his dad. That reporter is nosing around Jin’s house trying to collect info to sabotage mayoral race. Fortunately Lee’s parents have put him off a bit. Ever since seeing the lighthouse snow globe Jin has had periods of thoughtful quiet. This is very unlike him and nobody knows what’s wrong until Lee’s mom mentions the reporter. She looked up the case and it’s one her father investigated. She is now aware of what’s going on with Jin and knows he does not remember. The psychiatrist tells Jin’s dad his memories will be returning soon. This episode has both sides gathering information and Jin jumping out of a window to catch perpetrator. They know what to look for now and turning the office upside down to find it.

Carrying one billion to auction

Lee’s senior is a pendejo. I cannot believe he is going to such lengths to sabotage her case rather than right the wrongs of the two murder victims he closed as accidental deaths.😝 He is shamed by his superior for his backstabbing but he is determined to keep Lee in her place.😡 This type of person always has just enough power to wreak havoc for others and slimy enough to cover their tracks. If he set up her dad, I hope she gets to cuff him and put him in his place.😡Jin has taken out one billion to participate in seal auction. Lee looks a lot different dressed up, but she still has her no nonsense way of communicating. The thieves laugh at their trackers and run off with the cash. Lee hits up her dad to be their bait. He is unwilling to hope but Lee assure him she will find a way to get his job back. I am glad he is a capable man that can do other things outside of police work if necessary. He has managed to take care of his family in spite of the obstacles. Mom and auntie are cleverly away for a trip so dad can be the single old guy as bait. Lee is stressing some while they prep things. It got dicey but well done. 👏🏻That senior only looked worried for himself, not regretful or glad those two captured. He continues to piss me off every episode he is in. Lee let’s him save face but let’s him know he owes her a favor. Jin’s slime ball friend showed up so he isn’t out with his team. I really wish Jin would cut ties with this guy, but sadly, he’s too loyal. He does at least cut out early to join the team. It was annoying seeing the senior at press release, but Lee showed class that her senior will never possess. Jin has not won them all over, Lee or sidekick always has to be out of sorts, but they are a step closer to being a real team. Mom comes home to find dad in a good mood and wonders why. 😁

Righting old wrongs

Jin and apprentice meet and things go sideways resulting in Lee being called to task for being a poor team leader. While she is being berated Jin’s butler makes him get checked out at the hospital and reports to his dad. Stepbrother shows up and he seems more creeped out than Jin at the back room both avoid. He is trying hard to get Jin to move out, but Jin is content with his current circumstances. Jin meets Lee’s father over sick tree. Lee remembers him as the young boy that collapsed on him. He knows what happened there. I think everybody know but Jin. Lee is an excellent officer and made rank in record time. What has her in a hotspot is a box of money found with her father right before retirement. The one who admits hate thinks Lee is covering up for her dad and not having case handled properly. Jin’s enemy is the reporter who wants to destroy him. I am not sureif because his exclusive was cancelled or he is in the pocket of opposite mayor candidate. Maybe both. They are wanting to break the story of how Jin’s mom died three days before the election. Jin is trying to call in but he can’t if Lee won’t answer her damn phone.😝 They catch the murderer and return credit to the true artist of those gallery paintings. His dad is quietly monitoring his son’s progress but too unwilling to show his son how proud he is. After what seemed to be an accidental death, Jin greets the team with a murder mystery revolving around a great seal the older man had in his possession. Lee’s sidekick in particular thinks Jin is believing fairytales and both men want to spar.Jin wants to find out if the seal was real and the rest of the team want him to get lost. Lee calls coroner and two more similar deaths. There is something flakey about the rice they just haven’t figured out why it is green. The other two cases closed by the one who hates her and he refuses to let the cases be changed.😝 Items are missing from each and the link is a local church. The culprits are sly posing as funeral photographers. This episode finally shows them cooperatively working as a team. The sr is also noticing.

this ep sadly was one stoopid move after another..…

this ep sadly was one stoopid move after another.. even though Guy explained that he wasn't angry at Thiu for hiding his "profession", that he understood why he lied, so didn't get the whole scene at the start (why was that needed?!?) let alone him just deciding to stop gaming. why do that??? what he a newborn that just got online? in this day & age we all know that u never give out all ur info & a lot of the time u lie, even if u don't have to hide & u for sure take with a pinch of salt everything the person ur communicating with says about themselves. that's life online. or am i the only weirdo?!? ******************************anyway after that he then lets Whal lead him by his nose, until he has enough & then just ups & disappears. that ironically was a good move on his part, cause even if he can't see it - we could & Whal is a d*ck & a tease. idk if he knows what he is doing or he isn't ready to face his feelings, but dude keeps Guy hanging on with bits & pieces of hope. so am glad Guy just left. even though i would've preferred if he stood-up & put his foot down & told Whal he needed time & space alone. ***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************Thiu is another moron, i am sorry but WTF is this dude thinking?!? in this ep his boss remined him that there was an in, but no out of the life he had chosen & yet at the end he tells Guy he's leaving - how?!??? & not just the fact he will be endangering Guy, but he also let Kenji go - what!???? - leave the fact the dude told him he's not gonna be grateful, but Thiu also f*cked over the guys he paid to empty Kenji's gun putting a target on his back. seriously donno how Thiu rose through the ranks, given he's a softy, not that smart & kinda weak.

Just because they showed a happy ending doesn't…

Just because they showed a happy ending doesn't mean it was satisfying. The last episode was bonkers from ML being seriously hit by a car at the start of the episode to him dancing with his 2 kids around, in the last scene, all happened in just 60 minutes. Unbelievable!!

Time to drop it

I have really started to dislike the FL, her self-centered thinking and self-pity. I have begun to wish Kai would just run and find a good a happy life without her. I am dropping this wonderful story because it would have been interesting and heart-warming enough if it had ended earlier. Without the additional drama.

Five Stars

So, the 'bussom friends' thing doesn't seem to have slowed down Zhi's and Yanxi's growing affections for each other. But his mind is struggling with how to resolve all his secret conflicts that seem destined to get in the way. The family is starting to have to deal with more and more 'soft' issues such as jealousy and pettiness within the family and rumors and gossip outside of it.

The pace of the romance

The pace of the romance may frustrate some viewers, but I'm finding it so far to be extremely satisfyingly realistic. Especially because, at least so far, there are no bizarre, contrived romantic mis-dramas. Yes, he has secrets from her, but they aren't romantic secrets and, at least towards each other, they are so far being honest with their slowly developing feelings. The 'bussom friends' remark at the end is the first stumble, but it's not something that will derail their forward growth.

Love

Beautiful! It did a good job of addressing the issue of Mawin’s family and how to deal with real life issues. The entire cast did a really good job. It had just the right amount of happy and sad emotion.
