I'm captivated by the presentation and symbolism of the cuisines. Looks promising!

What a feast to see Wu Jinyan & Wang Churan in the same culinary drama. I also feel glad to see He Rui Xian here. My biggest take though is that Ming attire doesn't do Xu Kai much justice. I feel like he look way better in Xianxia costumes and contemporary attires. That said, one thing is for sure though...no one beats him in Qing dynasty get up.

Great series! Just by the way: A car can be struck by lightning, but this is a rare occurrence. If lightning strikes a car, the discharge can reach the ground, which means that the car is at risk of damage. Liability for damage to a vehicle when struck by lightning depends on the type of vehicle and its design. A closed vehicle with a metal body can effectively protect the crew when struck by lightning, although the vehicle itself may be damaged, disabling electronics. He himself was not struck by lightning, he just slammed on the brakes and hit his head (the airbag is only activated upon impact) so it is possible. He himself was not struck by lightning.

A Surprisingly Gripping Thriller with Great Chemistry

If you're looking for a solid psychological thriller mixed with a slow-burn BL dynamic, "Mr. Kill" is definitely worth your time. GMMTV really stepped up their game with the production quality on this one, creating a dark, gritty atmosphere that actually keeps you hooked.Production & VibeThe technical side of the show is genuinely impressive for a TV drama. The lighting in the interrogation scenes and the overall shadowy aesthetic build a lot of tension. The pacing is tight, and the sound design does a great job of keeping you on edge. It feels like a proper, well-made thriller.Acting & CharactersBoth Dew and Tee are stepping out of their usual zones here, and it really pays off.Dew (Kay): He does a surprisingly good job portraying a traumatized, exhausted suspect. His physical acting—the trembling hands, the defensive body language—feels very natural. You can't help but feel instinctive sympathy for his character.Tee (Inspector Phat): Tee has great screen presence. While the "aggressive, strict cop" is a familiar trope, he handles the action scenes and interrogations very well. Where he really shines, though, is in the quieter moments. You can clearly see the shift in his eyes when his professional duty starts clashing with his growing concern for Kay.The ChemistryThis is where the show truly shines. The dynamic between Kay and Phat is fantastic. It’s built on unspoken tension and intense eye contact rather than just dialogue. The transition from harsh police protocol (like that intense handcuffing scene!) to a quiet, protective bond feels earned. The little details, like the reveal that Kay secretly held onto a sentimental photo of Phat from a past event, add a beautifully soft layer to an otherwise dark story.Overall"Mr. Kill" is a very strong, highly engaging series. It perfectly balances the suspense of a murder investigation with a compelling, magnetic relationship dynamic. It’s a definite recommendation if you want something darker and more serious, but still heavily focused on the connection between the leads.

Bringing justice to the people

The Princess has kept her stance very clear that she considers their engagement broken but the Crown Prince keeps his image in her peripheral as she brings crimes to light. BuShu Lin was rescued and there was a clean sweep of the mine and forge. The citizens were released and compensated for their forced servitude. The Crown Prince upped that with a memorial stating the compensation that would be given at that site for any missed. It was agreed by them both that the official in jail was acting too calmly considering the punishment for his family. With further investigation he was found to be a fake. His tune changed when his real family was put on the line. As the Princess continued to tie up things in the courtroom, the Crown Prince found the secret passage where the doctor was being held. When the Crown Prince entered, there was an immediate hostage situation. Duke Ying was keeping the doctor there whether real or under pretense. It did show poison indicator on needle but there was no clear explanation of what was really going on. The Duke planned on exiting with the doctor and having the Crown Prince imprisoned or killed there. That circumstance changed quite quickly when the Crown Prince used sword skills to get it to the Duke and the doctor. It was argued in court that he simply wanted time with his son who refused to accept his remarriage. He was disciplined for deceiving the Emperor and all accepted the ruling. This too was stepped up a notch when the Crown Prince requested the doctor’s mother receive the rank and holdings of a first rank lady and recognized her service and contributions to the household and community. Here the doctor was stunned and had to be reminded to thank the Emperor show for this remembrance. The Princess is seeing that he is keeping his word about their similar goals. She is far from convinced but she is paying attention. Looks like her father shows up next episode and far from pleased at her choice of husbands. 😂What is interesting is that the actor playing her father is also the adoptive parent of JiaYu in Key to the Phoenix Heart. Now I have to wonder if he will be the same smug dark character here as he is there. 🧐He also was the poet in Prisoner of Beauty that made Wei Shao jealous and steal an ancient artifact .😂

Ladies, crafters and newborn villains

When she saw those pictures of other ladies stashed away among Wuyi's stuff, she tampered with them and ran off to cry quietly somewhere alone... and when Wuyi asked about it, she just said she was condemning him for his future darling... Jiayu, can I sense some jealousy? 😏On the other hand, the fact that Mao checking out potential concubines didn't trigger the same reaction from her also says a lot... Even she herself said she's not really feeling sadness about it... 🤨 I want Jiayu and Mao to meet up sooner so they can talk about their future plans together, and she can come to the conclusion that their relationship is actually doomed. 😒Mao saying out loud that he wants to become a villain so he won't be anyone's pawn... yeah, right... but will he actually avoid that? I think he is and will remain Grand Tutor Xie's pawn, even if he lets Mao think otherwise. 😔I am sad that Mao has decided to go down that path, but he's surrounded by enemies and people who pressure him heavily. If he wants to survive and protect his sister, choosing that path might be the quickest way. I just hope he won't go too far down it and will keep at least one road open for redemption later. 😟And maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I suspect that the Eagle King might actually like Li Lejun. He looked at her quite genuinely, and maybe even looked a little bit excited when she walked down the aisle (if that's what you call it in an imperial palace!). To be fair, from the very first time they met, I thought he was intrigued by her, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt this time and stick with this opinion for now. 🤔🫣And I am not even sure what to think of Master Engineer and the Empress Dowager of Northern Qin. 🫣

SO GOOD

An even stronger episode that raises the tension and deepens the mystery. The performances, especially from Dew and Tee are stand out, while the direction and storytelling continue to impress. Every clue leaves you wanting more

I'm glad I waited to watch it

Ever since filming began, I’ve been counting down the days until I could watch it. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Everything—from the techniques used in filming to the acting—was outstanding. I hope it continues this way.

this was such garbage - i genuinely suffered…

this was such garbage - i genuinely suffered through this ep - like WTF was this sh*t?!? the only - but the ONLY genuine moment was when Phatsa cried in bed, realizing he was a bird in a golden cage. but everything else was soap opera trash writing & the scene at the end just turned this sordid - it wasn't titillating or a turn on - if anything it was a turn-off, cause it was an indicator that the writing didn't matter, same with the acting as the only thing of importance is the soft-core porno which is why the audience is here & am sure after the mains initial BL a lot of their fans r here for their erotic scenes. if this is the case i doubt i will survive till the end.

Phoenixes are Starting to Rise

As Jia Yu says herself: very satisfying action! The leads were too cute running at each other and the story between Wu Yi and his (adoptive) mother was a tearjerker. I feel so much for both of them. It was also great to see Le Jun in action. I hope this means the next arc delves into her character a bit more. The jealousy is on with Mao, lol. I wonder how effective it will have been that the emperor let him see Xie Huai Gu's true colors. It's also sweet to see Jia Yu's character progress more and more.

Is that called evidence?

The so-called solid evidence was one phoenix feather and the fact that Lu Li is a half-monster... really? And they call that justice? 🤨😤 But I want to give a round of applause to Xiuyuan for finally killing Huo Yunzi! 👏Now I just have to wait until they find out who the other immortals practicing dark arts are... 🙄

Fiery rescue, investigations and Crown Prince blues

The Princess visits Gudu garden where a young boy was injured when his brother was falsely jailed. He was recounting his story of being tricked and evidence being destroyed when the building they were in was set on fire. I gotta admit that Prince Lie made an awesome entrance to the scene to rescue her, even taking an arrow. The crown Prince wasn’t happy with this development and took a reward back from both the Princess and himself. He reveals that he knows they are up to something but says his only mission is for them to stay away from the Princess. This reveals that he has joined the unrequited love club to his two brothers. He tries to create an intimate scene with the princess about taking her medicine. She brings it right back to him countering his comments to her could be changed and/or fabricated. She makes it clear that no matter his position on things, the engagement is off. She even used her attack as an excuse to put off being married. She is trying to let the Crown Prince save face by not calling it off publicly, but he is pushing her relentlessly to accept her fate. The more he shows up, the more convinced she is of his strength and power network. He keeps using his shortened life span as a selling point, but she no longer wants to buy. His love sick poems are getting on her last nerve and she burns them for being too mushy. I think she needs a visit from the embroidered knight. He might get a better audience than the sappy Crown Prince. 😝😂Bu Shu Lin and Minister Cui find themselves arrested and then forced into labor. Both have left without permission. After an escape attempt Cui was hauled back in and Lin was captured later. They even know her identity but because she is aware of the mine and forge they want her dead. Fortunately a message got to the Princess. She and the Crown Prince have arrived at the scene the exact time Lin is to be executed when episode ends.
