ok i will give it a try... i am not sure i like how childish everyone looks and acts. the set looks very fake too. i am not getting a good sense of place. how did Love and Destiny do such a better job!!?

The cast of characters expands to enable future plot development. It is slightly under-explained. especially Huong and Ling Yi. Is he her son? why can God of War use his power in Shan Ling Tribe land - right after the henchman told Kai that deities couldn't use their power?

IrenaK Not the direction I hoped for them to take, but they're doing it. 🤷♀️ The biggest surprise to me probably was Lifei not questioning the horns, the skills, and everything else Yacha-like on Hu Jiaping. Nor did anyone else, actually... I thought it was a well-guarded secret of Jiaping's and that he had only revealed it to that dying lady. 🤨Bonus points for Lifei finding out the true colours of Tongzhou, yet Cui Xuan being the caped, white-haired guy was kind of disappointing. I expected it to be someone else — someone who might have been using Cui Xian as their pawn all along... 😒

is crazy. They gave up all their wealth (more than once). They have risked their lives and endured brutal misfortunes again and again. All for the sake of the people. The show has several more episodes so I personally don't believe Yu Ru is dead. But even having to fake her death this way is awful. The pain and sorrow this blow deals to all the family and friends is horrible. I know things are probably going to get worse before they get better - too many episodes left - but the ultimate revenge arc needs to be good. Also - when are they going to explain why Lou ZiShang has such a psychotic hate for the Gu family? Did anyone else want to bash the pathetic psycho with a baseball bat when he was sitting drunk crying over YuRu's death?

Jiayu found the red ribbon nicely hidden among Wuyi's stuff, even though he had told her it was lost. Oh, you man! Were you planning to keep it as a keepsake and never give it back? 😏Mao, however, kept all of Wuyi's dancers because one of them looks a lot like Jiayu? And then to say that Jiayu would eventually return to him and stay at the palace? That sounded quite selfish... Oh, Mao... His facial expression alone in that scene, at one point, gave me some villainous vibes. 😟😬And then we got a few months' time skip! I guess it's reasonable, considering Jiayu left Wuyi to travel with her master, and Wuyi returned to the border... But those first events after the time skip for a moment felt like a completely different show — a mysterious disease, with people biting each other — to be fair, it looked more like rabies than anything else. 🫣 And all the focus went to the Cui family and the introductions of their family members — Cui Shaoan and Cui Lingyi (Prince Qi's betrothed) — and Cui family's link to the Beifu disease.But I absolutely loved Jiayu and Wuyi's reunion and all the encounters they went through together after that. 🥰 Lady Cui turning out to be an ally was a very pleasant surprise, but Mao getting a hold of Prince Jing'an's troops somehow leaves me uneasy... What if he doesn't return the token that controls them and uses them against Wuyi later? 🤔

Watching Liu Yu Ru endure the finger-crushing punishment is brutal. And then watching Emperor Fan Xuan having to come to terms with the nature of his son is also painful. And is the Emperor being poisoned? Because he looks ready to cough up a lung at any moment and die.

KJ2025 The opening scene is the Emperor looking at a pouch Prince Qian had given him. They were celebrating Qian being made crown prince and he had vowed allegiance to him. Prince Jian welcomed him as a brother and had complete trust in him. Dr Xie is sent back to town and the Crown Prince is giving the Duke some rest time before interrogation. He agrees to head back in two days and take the princess with him. He then shamelessly flirts with her at how well they can work together. She is interested but very reluctant about it. At the carriage to head to the Duke of Wei’s mansion they banter with her using her servant’s assist and pretending to check him for fever to slide her hand on by. She is now 2 to Crown Prince’s 0.🤣😂 His attempts to have his servant toss them back and forth on the journey was stymied by her servant. 🤣😂 He did score once in teasing her at finding him so capable with determining who and how many can get into east palace.🤣 was it poison or antidote the Duke took when they arrived? He admitted to buying the poison but that it was meant for Xiao JueChong who betrayed Qian in battle. He told him his dad was the adopted son of the Empress dowager but treated as a brother by Qian. The look Qian sent back towards his brother and the Duke said he knew something was off. But instead of exploring it he charged off to battle. When the flare signaled, the Duke was ready to go out with the troops but JueChong told them to keep the gate shut and defend the city unto death. He left Qian to be surrounded and defeated. The duke said the poison was to avenge Qian and never intended for a child. Duke Ying warned him to not trust his father as the throne was his objective over brotherhood. It is likely he would make the same choice between son and throne. The emperor is guilty of betrayal, but his face suggested something else was going on. That someone was forcing him to do the unthinkable. Whose life was more important to him than his brother’s? Was he forced between choosing his brother or son and then betrayed with his son being poisoned? The Crown Prince is very disappointed he has hit a dead end. He feels that the Duke paying with his life for that one bad action was equitable and that he should be buried with his ancestors. There was still a mystery about who used the poison meant for his father to poison him. All we have seen was a woman’s hand putting the poison on the cherries given to the prince while he played with his father in the hallway and the emperor giving his son the cherry. Did he know it was poisoned? It looks that way but why would he have the pouch Qian gave him as a keepsake if he wanted him dead? There is a poignant moment where the crown prince and princess discuss what is next. He has spent ten years investigating and has not known joy since he was nine until that day. His appreciation of her assisting with the investigation and being there as support he considered a memory for a lifetime. He puts a blossom in her hair and she respects his request to leave it there. Prince Lie has a conversation with the princess thanking them for allowing the duke to be buried in the ancestral plot. He is leaving to take his uncle’s place and guard Anlan while ChangPing will stay in the capital. They have a candid moment wishing each other well while the brother looks on in resentment. He does have a right to be angry. She is his ex and he looks insane calling her on it. The Princess’ father arrives and he is very determined to get the Crown Prince out of the picture. The more he complains to her, the more she reminds him that no man would measure up to him in comparison. The Prince adeptly responds to all his snarky remarks in equal measure holding his own. I wonder what the dad really thought when he grabbed the Prince’s shoulder. 🤣 The ploy to get his daughter away to visit gpa backfired when the Prince came out to meet them. 🤣😂 He is well liked by gpa so there are no seeds of discord that can be sown there.😂 He challenges the prince to a martial arts challenge that he quickly accepts. I am very curious how that will play out. One thing is certain. The prince will prove to the dad he can keep his daughter safe. How they negotiate with the prince’s family about his real strengths and weaknesses remains to be seen. The dad has tagged him the northwest wolf and I think the crown prince is pleased with the moniker. 😁Minister Cui has opted to be direct in letting ShuLin know his feelings. She has been sent by her friend to get out of a position in his office and Cui suggests she take his place. He vows secrecy and no concern about being a couple. ShuLin on the other hand, has made it quite clear that she has been and always will be the male heir of the Marquis. I feel sad for both of them. Preview shows the crown prince demonstrating his undeniable protective skills surprising the dad.

I'm mean, the pulled-out-of-nowhere magical drugs that precisely manage someone's moods and behavior are silly magic in an otherwise mostly grounded drama. I guess we just have to accept it as a plot element but it's frankly kinda comical and the show kinda waivers in credibility pretty much whenever Fan Yu is on-screen. Feels like they could have done this a lot better. Not sure I want to blame the actor entirely. The scripted lines of his character are silly already and would probably seem comical regardless of the actor.

Many things I wished for after the previous episode happened in this one! 🤩Firstly, it turned out to be true that the Eagle King liked Li Lejun. The way he said it to her actually was quite nice and made me wonder — maybe he's just like Xiao Wuyi and has a terrible reputation which everyone fears, while actually being a quite caring and good person? 🤔😏And secondly, Jiayu and Mao met alone and talked about their future plans. Thankfully, it ended exactly the way I hoped — with Jiayu rejecting his offer to stay in the palace. 😌The sad one in the end was Wuyi, because Jiayu asked for the divorce papers again and was about to leave... 😢 But at least she's not staying with Mao, right? 🤷♀️

When Liu Yu Ru and Qin Wan Zhi go to the palace and briefly meet psycho-creep Lou Zi Shang, watch Qin Wan Zhi's face. Even before she knows who this guy is, she is giving him dagger eyes, ready to pull out her sword and cut him down. Gotta like her. Then, at the floral banquet, Yu Ru pulls out her elite businesswoman skills at assessing value by publicly declaring the extreme value of Madam Liu's hairpin - way in excess of her husband's salary - which causes other wives at the banquet to quickly try to hide their most expensive pieces! LOL! And then later, the skillful way the Emperor and Jiu Si navigate past the attempt to marry him to the Princess is excellent.

estar this got 12 ep's, but why does the preview to ep 11 look like the finale?!? weird... as is the ending of this ep could also be "the end" but thankfully it isn't, as i am loving this wholesome, innocence filled romance. it's not just focused on the romance but the whole group of friends, their comradery & them turning into adults. it's very bitter sweet so i really get Ko Neung, cause he unlike the others, is very aware of the passage of time & how it is slipping through his fingers. how the happiness & carefreeness they r indulging in now, is coming to an end soon & sooner rather then later they will have to chose a path in the adult life , where everyone in that group will go their own way. scary for anyone on so many levels, Ko Neung being very sensitive is going through it, & it's breaking my heart cause he is genuinely scared, but others can't relate or alleviate these worries. even though Ko Song is trying... ********************************************************************************************btw my heart was in my mouth when Ko Song almost Kissed Ko Neung in his room, what with Ko Song's father downstairs... i was dreading him suddenly deciding he wants to talk to his son, or check on him. thank god we didn't get any major drama at the end of the ep. ********************************************************************************************************************* as a drama watcher i am coming to dread the penultimate ep's that usually bring us so much heartache, that get's solved in the finale. so every scene i was searching for the "other shoe to drop", lets hope it's smooth sailing until the end, lol
