peak

GenIrene shippers get out of my face. Im a GenAi shipper all the way baby. I don't know why ppl want irene to swap out with ai. that's a consent nightmare. its basically assault if irene pretends to be the robot and ends up having sex with gen. like have yall ever watched a sci-fi movie?????? this is fiction!! her being with the robot is completely plausible. we literally don't know irene at all. why tf would gen fall in love with her when the one she likes is ai????

less confused

a little more has been made clear but they’re overdoing it with the push and pull between the couples, I don’t understand why one second the Med students are into the engineering students and then they’re annoyed with their advances even though they gave them the go ahead?? it’s a bit much and it makes it feel like the Knight and Per are being too forceful which btw they totally have been, they don’t take no for an answer and it’s not cute especially not for a bl that came out in 2025 ALSO the kiss that girl gave Kan when she thought he was sleeping?? EW girl if you don’t want him to hate you don’t kiss him without his consent the hell

When madness takes over...

Zhao Huawei did well in this episode showing us Tongzhou's madness taking over him. I think none of the villains looked as evil and crazy as he did — not even Qin Yangling, no matter how hard he tried to deliver that evil laugh. 🙄I definitely didn't expect Ye Ye and Changyue to perish, and by Tongzhou's hand, for that matter. 😭💔 But Ye Ye's death hit him hard and even drew him deeper into his madness... How many did he absorb this episode? Like 4-5 people? 🤯 And he just can't stop anymore and wants more. INSANE! But he looked totally OP after getting all that power. 🫣😨Thank God Lifei is in safe hands at the moment, and I can't wait for her and Xiuyuan to finally reunite for the final clash... with Tongzhou. 😟 But having their love triangle be a part of that unending cycle they are stuck in... ah! 🙄

Skip past the first 5 1/2 minutes

The episode picks up where the last several minutes to eh prior episode left off with more long, drawn-out maudlin minutes wasted on Jiang He & Lou Zishang's family reunion. Just skip to the 5:30 mark. It's not worth watching. The rest of the episode is pretty good. Nothing crazy - it's a typical 'wrap up' final episode that gives an overview of the events that happen in the next several years as a result of the main story.

I am at a loss for words right now. The whole…

I am at a loss for words right now. The whole episode was low-key just like, kind of like, oh, we are dragging, repeat, we are doing a plot. Okay, so for the final five minutes, Bo is going to beat his meat in the bathroom. Why? Why did we do that? No idea, but I am like, oh, they are going to cut it. Oh, they are going to cut it. And they did not cut it, and they kept showing that. He is moaning his name and all that. I am like, what the hell? I am in the airport right now, and I am literally so gagged. Oh my God. Oh my fucking God. Good fucking night. Okay, bye!

Nice sequence of events to climax the crisis

I liked that the final sequence of steps by Gu Jiu Si and Jiang He to stop Lou Zishang were clever and precise, but not over-the top flashy. It seemed more realistic. Overall a very good episode that got to a very bad extreme before turning around. The only 'negative' of the episode was the overly-drawn out end scene between Jiang He and Lou Zi Shang. After a minute of that I was rooting for the gunpowder to go off.

This episode is brutal and not for the faint-hearted.

Lou Zishang's psychopathic evil is in full bloom now. His willingness to slaughter innocents is completely unhindered by any morality. Oh man. So upset about Wan Zhi!!! Zhou Ye is going to be so sad. With two more episodes two go, it's not surprising that things went totally dark in this episode. A hint of the turnaround comes in at the end. in the form of the message telling Lou that the Zhou army has been wiped out by the flood/landslide. That seems very likely to be a fake message sent by the good guys.

Emperor Fan simply blew it by hesitating.

He should have settled the succession before bringing Fan Yu back to the capital. Now everything he built is at risk of being destroyed.

Confronting the Cuis

Jin Yu is trying to find divorce decree and finds her hair ribbon tucked away in a keepsake box. WuYi denies knowing where it is and says he tossed it. Mao is collecting concubines like butterflies. He sees his path to JianYu thru becoming the top power. At least he and WuYi both recognize her need for freedom if they want any hope of gaining her true affection. Mao is already changing as power never had anything to do with making JiaYu happy. She is traveling with her mentor and they are ambushed. She finds herself at the Cui’s mansion and introduced to the master of the house tho he’s far from impressed with her looks. 😝🙄 At Beifu Fort, they are seeing a breakout of what looks like a rabies epidemic. The source has been planted in the grain and spread to water supply. It effects humans and animals with dangerous violent behavior among other symptoms. The official is being interrogated for hiding evidence and killing witnesses. JiaYu has figured out it is associated with mine. WuYi also receives intel about the mine and that JiaYu has been captured by the Cuis. He boldly heads right to the residences as an envoy. He rescues JiaYu but Lady Cui recaptures them. In a two prong attack Prince Ji is in charge of Beifu troops to confront the father and get evidence and Lady Cui gives JiaYu her mother’s pendant. She was captured trying to get help for the girls in the mine. Tutor Xie is involved peripherally as he predicts the downfall of the Cui family. LingFeng fort and mine will be investigated for illegal activities and epidemic coverup. It is hard to tell who will fall permanently, but swift changes are taking place. The only thing I question is having his sister hold the token to strike down the steward. Is he steering her course or is this what she wants as protection? After all the crap she has endured because of Empress Dowager, it kinda makes sense. But it seems out of character for her. I also hope the next time she has a chat with her brother she won’t keep calling brother before every sentence.

So when Ye Yun we telling her brother that she already cried and had to do what she needed to do

that kinda finalized for me that she was in on it. The fact that she was the one who arranged the funeral was already a big clue. Later, it's pleasing to watch Jiang He completely dupe Lou ZiShang. And of course, our girl is back. The revenge arc has started. We do get a 3 year time jump at this point, which means poor Jiu Si has been suffering in heartache for 3 years. But hopefully his heart will get healed soon.

first hook!

this series has been strong from the start - on this episode it really got me hooked. the character development is progressing, the plot structure taking shape and both emotion and excitement are building.

love is not born after concubines and drinking

that is so lame. guys aren't suddenly in love after some drinking together. this is the least convincing most disturbing fake element forever in all time. you cant just fall in love with some girl disguised as a boy from the wrong tribe after having some wine together. there is no character development to that. cringe!

this is where i cracked

this crying little sog muffin --- and then god of war has no personality. the poor actor needed to be given some scenes where he is shown in his own element. not just so vinegar face sitting in the teaching hall. like why should i care about this guy. see, Love and Destiny had this covered. i started watching with my finer on +5 and just skipped my way through. I can't handle this.

i enjoyed a little more...

trying to find someone to crush on - at least some more attractive people came on. but i am SOOOOOO annoyed at the girl disguised as a boy thing. that just doesn't interest me at all. i have to look at a girl but pretend everyone else sees a boy? and her voice is so childish. ug.
