The Midnight Romance in Hagwon Episode 13

Once again, solid episode. The previous episodes did very well to build up the kind of culture and environment the hagwon life is, so while it's completely ridiculous that Hye Jin's career is being threatened by her relationship with Jun Ho, it also makes sense. We know how the culture works. Even as an audience, we learned about how two other instructors ruined their academy by getting romantically involved. The stakes are indeed high, and the show did a good job in establishing that.I was shocked that it was the White-Haired Witch who dropped the bomb that Hye Jin and Jun Ho were involved. I'm glad it was her and not the Vice Director. Also, liked how we got the Director back and how you can tell that he is in Hye Jin's corner, compared to how he tried to abandon her earlier in the drama. Him saying that he already knew they'd get together was the sole comedic point in this episode. What I really liked was that Hye Jin at no point says the words "we should break up". I think this is always the quintessential line that comes with age-gap, noona romances, when a partner either can't endure the gossip or doesn't want their loved one to have to put up with it. And that's why I really expected Hye Jin to say it at the end, but instead we get her confession of love to Jun Ho which was very sweetly done. I feel for Hye Jin so much. I feel less of that for Jun Ho, who as a character is very good, but he's basically the reason as to why everything is crumbling down now. And even though he's the reason, I didn't get the sense that he was truly suffering from what was going on. Yes, he was concerned for Hye Jin's sake, but you never get the sense that he's concerned for his own sake. Which is nice, but it makes him less complex compared to Hye Jin. Maybe the next episode will introduce more of his own struggles with this situation.

As someone who's been disappointed multiple times when my favorite book had a live-action adaptation, I would say LUAT really surprised me. I did have low expectations when I started watching it, but I didn't expect I would like it this much.JJ is really Nakhun. They can deny it all they want, but that's how I literally imagine Nakhun when reading the book. I love how we have an extended crashout of him in the live action. I also hate it when the MCs who travel back in time act nonchalant, especially if they are Gen Z. JJ's crashout is somehow so natural and funny to watch.Net's acting is really good. I love how expressive his eyes are. You can clearly see the difference in how he treats others versus Klao. Even his voice is so soft when talking to Klao.LatteKim, not much screentime yet as Jom and Kaew, but I love how they played Thee and Pun, especially Latte. I didn't expect him to slay playing Thee. The set is really good. I love how they also added Nakhun's struggle with having no AC, Wi-Fi, and also no bathroom, which is a real struggle if you ever go back in time.As for pacing, it's still hard to gauge as we only have 2 episodes at the moment. But the book is quite slow-burn. Knowing it will only have 12 episodes, I want to know how the team will execute this without butchering the story. So far, so good.

I liked all episodes and some ppl complained they wanted action from the villain Well good guys can also make action, can they not? I wish JM and BH get smarterJust removing small details that make it seem like JM is not putting in her best effort, and also, JM hiding information - thinking about that and deciding to keep quiet while robbing the safe really made JM look totally dumb. Please drama, go easy on that

INSANE EP. DUYEONG ALIVE. MR CHOI’S KNIFER, THE ONE THAT PRESUMABLY GOT KILLED BY MYEONGIL, THE ONE THAT HAD AN PREGNANT FIANCÉ OR WIFE I FORGOT BUT OMG HE’S SAFE AND HE TOLD MR MOON THAT IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO THE BOYS, MR MOON SHOLD REACH OUT TO HIM. AND TAE GEOM OH TAEGEOM MY POOR BABY BOY. Woojin and gangyong go visit taegeom’s mother (his daughter’s grandmother) and his daughter, since they got a trail from a picture mr moon obtained and found out who taegeom was, and find out that taegeom’s wife had pancreatic cancer and to pay the medical bills he took out loans from a loan shark but his wife died and taegeom’s was a special forces officer in the military and the loan sharks came to his office and made a distruption, probably because he didn’t pay on time, and forced him to work for them 2 years ago at his military base which caused him to get dishonourably discharged from the military and taegeom told his mum he was going to Thailand to “protect” this rich man. LIKE I FEEL BAD FOR TAEGEOM EVEN THOUGH HE SUPPOSED TO BE A BAD GUY AND HIS DAUGHTER SO CUTETEE HER NAME MINA AND SHE PUT STICKERS ALL OVER WOOJIN’S FACE AND IT WAS SO ADORABLE. And now we know taegeom and who he was, mr moon and gunwoo found the girl who drugged minbeom and we get a cutscene to him AND HE POOKED SO SCARY LIKE HE HAD DARK UNDEREYS AND AN UNSHAVEN BEARD AND HE WAS SCREAMING IN PAIN LIKE GOSH. So we got the girl and taeyeong hacked into her account and we found out how she met up with mr lee, at a hotel bar where taegeom and baekjeong were staying so the squad go to the hotel and gangyong gets some swat dudes from the police and search the penthouse that baekjeong and taegeom were staying in,only to find it empty AND trapped with explosives and taegeom sets it off remotely and everyone in there is probably injured INCLUDING OUR POOR GANGYONG.he found it a few seconds before it busted so he told everyone to run but he was tad few seconds late. Once all this happens a few seconds later gunwoo is waiting for everyone downstairs outside the hotel and sees the bombs go off in the penthouse and gets a call from baekjeong and gunwoo tells him he’ll participate in the match.. GOSH WHAT AN EPISODEE.

My Stand-In: Uncut Episode 9

I'd watched the series before, yet I found myself crying so hard again, just like the first time. I analyzed the events as if it were the first time, and I was devastated by Ming's crying, just like the first time... I feel bad for both of them, but Ming truly deserves another chance. Waiting for Joe's return all this time was never easy... 😞As for Sol, my reaction to him was the same as the first time; I was screaming because he kept popping up between them, making things even worse than they already were... 😒

The start was just so funny because everyone was trying to argue whoever gets the punishment, then the princess stepped in, ready to bow, everyone was so stressed out especially the fake Marquis that Gongsun had to step in so that didn't happen lol this show is just way too PEAK LOLI've never had to sit watching a show where I know situations are cringe but at the same time I'm doubling down laughing because it's directed and shown so well that I don't actually feel like it's bad at all (kdramas as much as I love them is soooo bad at this and don't even let me start on jdramas when it comes to cringe acting lol there's also other Asian dramas like... coughFildramascough nowadays that are just so cringe despite acted very well lol) Writing and directing dramas that can be fantastical and still not be cringe is so hard nowadays (outside of Asian dramas, One Piece is the only other series that does it well enough without it being too cringe despite its premise). The action scenes was amazing as always. Fight choreography is pretty top notch. I've not watched a lot of weapon-using martial arts and especially not spears and the butcher knives that Changyu uses, so it's especially impressive when I see her use it in fight scenes. She's so damn cool as a heroine. I'm honestly glad I gave this a chance, I was not expecting to love this show so much as I have! And to think I only really wanted to watch it for shits and giggles coz I was bored out of my mind lmaoCan't wait to watch the next episode! I love Changyu and Xie Zheng's relationship to progress more!

Crazy g INBEOM AGREED TO WORK WITH BAEKJEONG TO RETRIEVE GUNWOO LIKE WHAT. And starting the ep, taeyeong used the mule cards woojin and gunwoo got from mr moon and they logged in and saw on Ikfc THAT THEYVE ALREADY SCHEUELED GUNWOO’S FIGHT AND LABELLED HIM “SCARFACE” TO HYPE HIM UP TO THE MEMBERS. AND NOW MR MOON, GANGWONG AND MINBEOM GOT TOGETHER AND WERE TALKING AND GANGWONG DIDNT APPROVE OF MR MOON SINCE HE’S A LOAN SHARK BUT EVENTUALLY GANGWONG LETS HIM HELP OUT EVEN THIUGH GANGWONG DIDNT RATE MR MOON AS A LOAN SHARK. And now inbeom suggested to BAEKJEONG to kidnap minbeom instead since inbeom knows they close so they tortured his secretary to find out minbeom’s usual drink place and where minbeom were holding gunwoo’s mum, woojin, starting and gunwoo. So after one of mr Lee’s people get the bartender of minbeom’s usual place unconscious and place a liquid in minbeom’s drink to make him unconscious and now MINBEOM IS COOKEDD.
