Gives Chinese fluff a whole new meaning, cat fights and cat power!

This was a really sweet rom com with the classic love over time with impossible obstacles and a touch of sweetness surrounded by allot of fluffy Kittys. Giving new meaning to the word cat fight. And with allot of cat power!

This movie really has allot more substance then I thought it would and while I was scared it would have problems similar to the ones in Meow the secret boy this one is nothing like Meow and is a romance between two consenting competent adults with their own lives, abilities and dreams. Portraying both longing, pain, the struggles in understanding others, and allot of fluffy humor.

Most of it was well made but I admit some parts where just ridiculous, Song Wei Longs character was not his typical character and to be honest it lacked his usual charm. But the male lead was cold yet sweet and extremely fluffy. He did not force himself on the female lead, no not even once! And the side characters where okay, I was not annoyed at any one (could be that it is only a 90 minute movie). The chemistry between the leads was good and both of the leads acting were on spot.

I was never board and I did feel a range of emotions, mostly fluff. But they where not very intense and though a few scenes did feel like an attempt from the makers to make us cry It did not hit home for me but it may for you so be were. It did tickle out some light laughter and was simply an easy to watch movie with more depth and verity than one may think a cat man would have incorporating both action, longing and comedy in to one. giving it high entertainment value.

All in all a true fluff piece, worth a watch for both cat lovers and rom com buffs like me!

Oh and the OST was really sweet but for some reason I have I'm a scatt man playing in my head...

Even more possibilities

On the surface, it might seem like just another "spy movie" but this honestly would've made a great series...the possibilities and potential is great.

It's fun, found myself laughing and on the edge of my seat at times. The action scenes were really entertaining and well captured. The last time I watched Youngkwang was Pinnochio so I'm so glad I picked up one of his works, he's as an incredible an actor the last time I remember it. Side note: Don't watch the trailer, trust me--just come in blindly so you can put the pieces together yourself.

Overall, the storyline is nothing special but I missed these kinds of action comedies, just something lighthearted but thrilling at the same time. Also no, there's no romance but the chemistry between the leads was really great (loved their bickering). Oh, and gotta love the Red Velvet promos.

But really! This could've been a series, so much potential of both of their backstories. Which I WISH they really delved into WSH's background, unfortunately it'd be hard to condense into a movie. Same goes for Dahee and how she became an MSS agent.

Definitely give it a watch! I didn't even realize that time went by so quickly.

Mechagodzilla is back and this time it's personal!

Godzilla has his claws full battling a refurbished Mechagodzilla, Titanosaurus, and the space aliens from the previous Mechagodzilla appearance. This time the aliens have a mad Earth scientist who can control the normally peaceful Titanosaurus to help them reach their nefarious goal of leveling Tokyo and making it their new home. Along for the ride are some Interpol agents and the mad scientist's cyborg daughter. Of course, one of the Interpol agents falls madly in love with the daughter in the five minutes he gets to know her. Godzilla movies have it all--even romance!

I thought the first Mechagodzilla movie was better than this one. Godzilla was almost relegated to a bit player here. He had a face lift since his last outing, making him look angrier. Thankfully, his eyes didn't look painted on by a fourth grader this time. Titanosaurus had the most screen time. I have to say I thought the design for Titan was very good and aesthetic, he made a formidable, if reluctant opponent for Big G. Mechagodzilla was back with some new weaponry and a few surprises.

Ifukube Akira's score was dark, ominous and at times thundering. I very rarely notice the music in movies, but I thought the score was nearly perfect, particularly for the opening sequence.

I would be remiss if I didn't make note that Honda Ishiro, the director for the first Godzilla movie, came out of at least semi-retirement to helm this movie.

The monster fights and city destruction were well done and didn't go over the line into the boxing camp of earlier movies. It did look like the same city block was destroyed several times, but given it's smallish budget that feels like nitpicking. My complaint is the same one I give in nearly every review, the humans were lackluster, including the simian aliens. The human element wouldn't be as important if they didn't take up so much screen time. I'm here for the big guy, not the humans he lets live on the island.

Terror of Mechagodzilla was entertaining, with a few dark elements thrown in, particularly near the end. This was a slightly above average 1970's Godzilla movie for me.

Must watch!

A story about almost revenge. Li Jiahe(14) is a good writer that lost her path in life after the death of her mom 3 years ago. She is struggling in everything except literature and after an arguement with her dad she unexpectedly meets her mom's murderer. She follows him around for a couple of days while plotting out her revenge.
The casting was great Deng Enxi is definitely a talent to watch!!! No casting choice was particularly bad, but Deng Enxi's emotions stood out the most to me even though I am a little biased. Leon li who played the Male lead was a great actor, but maybe he was too old for the role. I was confused about how old he was supposed to be until I figured out he was supposed to be 17-18. I feel like if they got a Male actor closer to that age than some parts wouldn't feel so awkward since many people around them thought they were a romantic couple.
The music is something I don't really criticize my only criteria is that it doesn't pull me out of the movie which here it didn't but nothing I remember in particular.
I will definitely look forward to anything Zhou Sun puts out cause this was crazy good for a debut!!!
Only thing that might turn off people is there is a lot you will need to figure out for yourself before it is shown so you may be confused at moments.
I definitely recommend this and would watch it again and again.

Hmmm

I'm back, hello-
The history is kinda messy in a "I think you cut some important scenes short" way, but super cute though. I wish we had more and the history got clarified enough, it rubbed me just as sismance even though the title makes it seem as if there would be an lesbian love triangle. I don't know what on earth they did with the FPS, but the scenes were making my eyeballs hurt, lol, but it may be just me and may be time to change my glasses. Big ouch energy. This was super cute though, I must admit---Good short film to watch when you want something quick and adorable.

I would have given this a higher rating, but the end spoiled it. I enjoyed watching this, it kept my interest. I thought the acting and story were good. This movie had a lot of sex scenes, so if your not comfortable with that, don’t watch it. I think the two ML’s were excellent and very believable in their roles. They were two lost souls, but throughout the movie kind of discovered themselves. I don’t think I would watch it again though. I’ve watched You Make Me Dance, Long Time No See, and To My Star several times each, but I won’t be doing that with this one, for the reason stated in my first sentence. If you like BL’S on the serious side, it’s a nice short watch.

Depressing yet brilliant but really, really boring

This movie is a really feel bad, loose hope for society kind of movie. Yet is extremely depressing not only is the subject depressing but also the atmosphere the colors, the plot everything is just so very very sad and will actually make you mad.

This movie shows several aspects to breaking down individuals with mental illness through lack of help, lack of understanding and having to deal with some pretty strong prejudges facing society and loved ones. It is truly painful to watch yet has some dark humor that made me laugh between the oooh so depressing scenes. Showing both the the lack of support from institutions, difficulties in finding work and being pointed out as a psycho who is dangerous by more or less everyone around him. Having people afraid of him warning their children to stay away from him. In all this the voice of reason comes from a kid who thinks we should change the surroundings instead of the person, I truly loved that kid.

The entertainment value of this drama is probably worth one star or two at most since it is truly boring 90% of the time, But the dark humor, the message, the acting the lack of sugarcoating and the way this is done is worth 10 stars so I settled on 8. But be were you are in for some truly boring scenens and probably this years (ok 2017s) feel bad movie of the year with a dash of madness... Its a mad world and damn that world will make you mad.

I don't know how is it possible that a healthy and cute drama is followed and obscured by a toxic and unhealthy one with the same name. The romance is cute here, the ML does NOT stalks the FL, he's very respectful towards her, he cares for her and he is NOT imposing. the FL is strong, but cute and femenine. Both actors are perfect and good-looking. I recommend this version rather than the most famous but unhealthy one, because here they male leads really care for each other. The plot and the love story blooms slowly but heartwarming, their friends are not annoying like in the other version. I loved it a lot.

Predictable Story, Poor Execution

For about 3/4th's of the movie, Recalled is completely predictable. Its plot points feel so familiar. However, that wouldn't be as bad if the story wasn't skin-deep. At no point was I ever on the edge of my seat, worried about what might happen to the FL. In fact, for a main character, she doesn't do much of anything. Things just sort of happen to her, and people show up conveniently to help. Then, there's a twist, revealed through a cluster of time skips, which I liked at first but made no sense to me by the end of the movie. It's one of those things where EVERYTHING could've been resolved if the characters sat down and had a genuine conversation with each other. The actors did a good job, but no one stood out to me in any particular way. It is the same for the music. There are some questions I have that could probably be answered if I watched the movie again, but I think I can live without those questions being answered. Overall, Recalled was an average movie. It wasn't outstandingly good or bad, just nothing new.

My heart wanted to burst

My heart wanted to burst just within minutes of watching this movie! Although it may have been very successful as a drama (with these actors, etc.) the simplistic nature of this movie hit all the feels. It was pure and straight to the point. It wonderfully covered topics on youth, coming-of-age, love, family, and friendship within just a span of two hours.

This story is about a girl named Geng Geng who becomes deskmates with a boy named Yu Huai after they meet on the first day. It started with Yu Huai pointing out that his name (on the bulletin board) was next to someone called Geng Geng and together their name makes "Geng Geng Yu Huai," meaning to "take to heart." Turns out it was her that he was talking about. After becoming deskmates, they become friends and they even began taking interest in each other. Nearing graduation however, unexpected news leaves them parting ways. The story mainly follows their youth almost acting as flashbacks from present time but eventually comes full circle with them meeting once again after seven years.

Definitely recommend! In terms of the selection of actors and their acting skills, this movie was very well paired. Again, there were so many moments my heart wanted to just burst because of how cute and pure the interactions were.

Nice movie no suicide

Love Weir's acting as usual. I was 1:45 through this film when I read the reviews here and...... Look up the word suicide before revealing it in spoiler review. Nobody commits suicide in this movie. 1 accidental death and 2 people jumping in the water is not suicide, dead people don't swim with their arms and legs kicking back to the surface nor do they ever even talk of doing so. I would have liked more epilogue but then I always do with a good movie or these lakorns. This a short review but they want 500 characters in length so blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda.

dark madness

unremittingly dark and depressing 〜my final perception of this film is that what starts as a scenario just barely plausible as real presents through increasingly destructive imagery a metaphorical descent into madness reflected in the surreal final twists。as film it was well done with the lighting and camera work conveying the dark and claustrophobic atmosphere (?the enclosed space of the mind within which it takes place) I can not give it top score because though I recognise its merit at an intellectual level for me this film is devoid of anything uplifting: why do we(or maybe better why do we have to)produce such films?

This is not Romeo and Juliet!

Firstly this is not your usual love story drama, so if you're not okay with more realistic movies, you shouldnt watch it.
People nowdays are so used to dramas with the perfect ending, with all the "They Lived Happily Ever After" that they forget real life is not always that easy.
This is one of the good things about this movie, they tried to be more REALISTIC.
I got a lot more to say but don't want to spoil anything.
All i gotta say is: watch it if you're okay with realism.

High School Musical, but make it Japan

Similar to "Love Is Hard For Otaku," I really wish this wasn't a musical. With both movies, I was really looking forward to seeing a live-action of an anime I really loved. However in both, instead of getting more of the story, there was time wasted on random (and unnecessary) dance numbers. "Fufu-girl" was a catchy and fun song, but it could've been reduced to a cute title sequence, and then the full number at the very end of the movie as a bonus. Despite some other alters to the story, the actors did well with what they were given. I also enjoyed getting to see Hokuto in another role. So it was good, but definitely could've been better.

Kim Hyang Gi, as So Ra, deserves an acting award for her performance in this movie!

Although Song Yoon Ah as Seo Go Eun was the lead actress in this movie, young Kim Hyang Gi as Jang So Ra, Seo Go Eu's daughgter deserves a special acting award for her portrayal of the daughter of a dying mother, especially in the ending scene!

From her acting out (due to not understanding "what was wrong" with Mommy), to her taking charge and making her dying mother proud of her, she pulled out an award-winning performance, IMHO, second to none.

Credit should also go to the martial arts instructor, who intervened to get the ballet instructor to catch So Ra up so that her mother could see her perform before dying.

Unfortunately, I recommended this movie to a friend a week ago, found it on YouTube, but was very upset that the person uploading it cut 10 minutes off of the film, taking out So Ra dancing with the big flower on her dress so that mother Seo Go Eun could see her dance with her failing eyesight (next to the last scene in the original movie.

You could feel the heartache of the support cast seeing a loved one die and not being able to do one thing about it!

The movie was done so that all the loose ends were tied off, and So Ra ultimately overcame her loss as the next-to-last scene showed.

WARNING: Have a least a full (new) box of Kleenex on hand before starting this movie!
