Best Healing Drama of all time
Actually the plot is not for those who like burning this drama is cure and healing of our heart and soul to get love and beloved. It's really precious love story to be remembered. Actors are too good and chemistery between them is always matched every life. Really can't moved on this couple, I will always think about Shi Xian couple daily life to spend in normal human being ways.....🌲Was this review helpful to you?

Lazy Writing
I respect the viewers and the ratings, but I honestly don't think this drama deserves its score at all. Just because we love some of the actors in this drama and enjoy watching everything they're in doesn't mean we should completely ignore reality.Look, we love C-dramas and K-dramas with all their typical tropes within their own framework, but this show completely messed up even those basic tropes. Everything feels so surface-level. The story starts as if it's heading toward a really deep premise, but then it devolves into almost nothing.
I want to start with the ML. The show tries to sell him as this powerful, badass guy through charismatic scenes. He fights off dozens of people, does dirty work for a genuinely evil villain, walks through flames, and so on—yet when faced with his actual situation, he showed zero intelligence. He literally spent almost five episodes playing house in his village with an amnesiac woman. On top of that, even though our FL lost her memory, she is definitely not stupid. If you talk to her reasonably, she’s more than capable of processing and understanding what’s going on. Despite this, treating her like an idiot was just absurd.
Seeing a guy who's been a mob enforcer for years unable to string a coherent sentence together, blushing, and turning into a shaky mess whenever he talks was laughably bad. Maybe this concept came off as romantic in your first two dramas, but right now it’s just hilarious. It’s 2026, and nobody expects a mobster to have never kissed anyone before. Frankly, no one buys that anymore.
As for the FL, I can't really say anything negative about her performance. Honestly, I felt genuinely bad for her throughout the episodes I watched. When you think about it, even though memory loss gets heavily romanticized in shows and movies, it’s actually terrifying. Nobody respected her enough to tell her the truth. I have zero respect for the whole "I did it all for your own good" nonsense. Everyone has the right to know the truth.
Because of what I mentioned above, the romance between the two of them felt completely unappealing to me. I just couldn't get over the fact that she was being manipulated and lied to the entire time.
Of course, these are evaluations from my personal perspective. From a technical standpoint, the writing, directing, and editing were pretty weak. The scene transitions were so jarring in some places that they totally pulled me out of the story.
In short, the drama felt lazy and sloppy. This plot premise deserved so much better, but everything ended up feeling completely unrealistic and illogical (and I actually enjoy well-executed absurdities)

High budget but low Quality...
I was so excited for this drama, the teasers of ZLH and WC in those outfits were gorgeous, But when I actually got to watch it, I liked it for about 3 ep, and everything is meh after that. From the starting 3 episodes I thought I'd get a serius cold FL paired with a ruthless ML, but all we get is a puppy ML and a weak FL, I mean, why does he have to call her Su Su affectionately again and again, after all of that traumatic backstory and untrustworthy personality, he's still wagging his tail for FL when she betrayed his trust? And the FL, though it felt like she was ruthless with all those bloody wedding dress, and ruined clothing making others distrust ML, but then she gets back to feeling sorry, guilty for him WTH, what is this inconsistency? And when they were in the secret basement, ML should have hurt her with the knife, it would feel way good like in "Fated Hearts" it would show his ruthless side, and when they were escaping, ML could have just suddenly closed the door on her without saying anything, that scene would hit so hard, like it would show that he still cares for her even though he hates her/ angry with her but still would save her, but they went through cringey dialogues for 2 min which makes the situation so weird like they are running for life!!! and ML feels like a puppy starving for affection and the FL annoying with her sudden guilty tears..... Ughhhhhhhhh why why why..... There are many more things that I really hate and am to frustrated about.... Think about it, if they Did it right, they could have made it into a great slow-burn romance like this ----> ML, despite being wronged, understanding why she did that and still helping the FL achieve her goals(though not in a puppy way wagging it's tail way), and the cold FL who only considered revenge and thought ML is some privileged young master, now melting slowly through ML's sincerity in helping her( also noticing what he went through and what he experienced)Was this review helpful to you?

I have yet to find a drama with the same aesthetics and vibe
i really enjoyed this drama because it was able to capture the exact sensuality that i want to see in dramas, the story is very touching and the soundtrack for one of the scenes is an absolute masterpiece, matter of fact i have it in my spotify playlist, its called "The One". ANYWAYS! i cant submit a review unless its atleast 300 characters so i guess i have to go a bit in depth, i loved the writing of the girls character shes definitely a type of personality that i would like to see in more female leads, she isnt afraid to chase the guy and is bold and flirtatious. not to mention the views in some of the scenes were absolutely gorgeous! i reccomend, but brace yourself and prepare tissues for the end! yes, its an open ending but it feels more like its a sad one, also!!!! the poetry in this is amazing i have even saved some of their lines down in my notes app because it could definitely inspire you especially if you are an artist, to produce some sort of art from this. Was this review helpful to you?
The acting in the movie is amazing though, and honestly if it werent for that last scene I would adore this movie because it gets so many things right. From the pacing, the mounting dread, and how things kick into gear. Not to mention Park Shin Hye does a really good job in the lead role.
Watch at your own risk is my advice.

I really loved the suspense and how the mysteries didnt feel dragged out, but naturally progress from one point to the other. The two main leads have such impeccable chemistry and it does so much to make the story resonate, you really feel all the highs and lows with them because their performances are so stellar. My only issue though, is that the story in the first few episodes is 100% telegraphing that Hyun Soo is a murderer and he's living this secret life to escape whatever happened back in his village. Its the only reason him holding Moo Jin hostage makes sense. Granted it does pay off in terms of that incident leaving evidence that fuels Jiwon's suspicions later on.
But it feels very cheap to have your main character kidnap and essentially torture someone in their basement and then spend the rest of the show not addressing it and highlighting how tragic said main character is. Like, even Moo Jin gets over it so fast, it's really weird.
I enjoy how the story develops later and really do like Hyun Soo and Jiwon's relationship, but this poorly thought out section in the beginning really ruined a lot of the good stuff about the show. A blatantly terrible piece of writing that weighs down the significantly better writing in the later parts of the show

The strongest couple imho has the strongest special...
Arthit and Daotok move together after Daotoks grandmom passed away. Shortly after the bracelet grandmom gave him broke, Daotok sees all the ghosts again and Arthit has the worst nightmares imaginable. While being cute this special has also a bit of story and not every superstitious thought might be wrong. I think this was especially Ngerns best performance in the whole series. Of all the special this one stands out the most. And of course this special also had the perfect ending with a marriage proposal, so everything a fan would like to see.
Production quality was impecable, everything had a nice flow and while the ghosts in the main-story did not have a satisfying end, here it has. For all the fans this is a must watch!
Note: I would wish MDL would have a consistent naming policy. This is "The Sun from Another Star Special Episode" while the special with Tonfah & Typhoon is called "Fourever You Part 2 Special EP: Beside the Sky". This is very confusing and when you don't know both names you will not find it easily because "Fourever You Part 2 Uncut" also has the arcs not listed.

One of the best kdramas
Most kdramas I've watched fall into this pattern of establishing a story in the first few episodes and then backtracking on all of it to create a very milquetoast end result. The Glory is not one of these shows. While theres a bit of this in the first episode and the way the narration is implied to be set up, the overall pacing is building a coherent story that delivers on all of its set up.
For anyone who loves revenge shows, this is a must-watch. The actors, the storytelling and the stakes are so well done. Really cant recommend it enough.

Pretty decent but underwhelming
The show's first half is a really good watch! I enjoyed the suspense and the way the backstory is slowly communicated to us. I think the reveals are also mostly well done. The highlight for me, is definitely Anzu and Yuzu's relationship. It adds an emotional anchor that helps the story resonate.
But I feel the ending is so...half baked. Like it severely underdelivers on the ending. Some stories benefit from sticking to the premise and being straightforward, this is one of them.
Edit: read another review that reminded me how classist and elitist the show is and I have to concur. This show really hates poor people and is very uncharitable in its depiction on the impact of living in poverty.

Its a very wholesome slice of life show thats perfect for a nostalgia kick. I miss when shows could be so simple and have clear, meaningful plot progression.
The show is made with so much love for the main three characters and even the "makeover" aspect is done in good faith. Something you rarely see in shows like this.
And another refreshing aspect is that it doesnt devolve into endless love triangle drama. Its a show about the importance of friendship and how it adds value to our lives.
I will say though, I wish we got to see more of Mariko, I really liked her. And the resolution to the bully "mystery" plot was pretty underwhelming. Otherwise though, love love love!

where every colour held a secret
somehow this tiny drama managed to give me more to think about than shows that are ten times its length, and i REALLY need to talk about whythe biggest thing for me was how complete the story felt. usually when a drama is this short, you can immediately tell where the cuts were made. characters dont get enough time to develop, the plot jumps from one thing to another or the ending feels like they ran out of episodes and had to wrap everything up as quickly as possible. but this drama never really gave me that feeling. everything moved quickly, but it never felt like it was moving too fast. i especially liked how the mystery was handled. instead of throwing a bunch of information at you and expecting you to keep up, the drama lets you piece things together alongside the characters. there are little details and conversations that dont seem particularly important when you first see them, but later you realize they were actually setting something up. it made me pay attention to everything because i knew there was probably a reason something had been included
and the whole republican era shanghai setting?? genuinely beautiful. but what i liked wasnt just the visuals. the drama uses the setting to influence the story. the difference in wealth, status and power is constantly present. the costumes and production design do a lot of storytelling on their own, and the whole thing has this slightly mysterious atmosphere that fits the plot perfectly. i also think the drama benefits a lot from how restrained the characters are. nobody feels overly theatrical just for the sake of making the story more dramatic. people keep things from each other, make calculated decisions and reveal information when they actually have a reason to. that made the tension feel much more believable because you never completely knew who could be trusted
dai luwa and tang shiyi also deserve so much credit because their chemistry is INSANE. even their quieter scenes had this underlying tension to them. you could actually feel the characters becoming more comfortable around each other as the story progressed, which is crazy considering they had such little screen time together
then we get to the ending, which SHOCKED ME as i never expected that. no spoilers but the reveal about who was actually pulling the strings this whole time completely recontextualizes everything you thought you knew
if i had to describe where colors dream in one sentence, id say its a drama that knows exactly how much story it needs. it doesnt overstay its welcome, doesnt waste time on unnecessary side plots. and thats probably why three episodes were enough to leave such a strong impression on me. it felt intentional from beginning to end. theres a clear atmosphere, an engaging mystery, characters you actually care about and a central relationship that develops naturally
i went into it expecting a quick little watch and came out wishing there were at least another 10 episodes 😠genuinely one of the biggest surprises of the year for me!

Why does this gets a MDL page?
Ok, I thought this was the special episode... not the special of the behind the scene with interviews of the casts.MDL is very confusing... Maybe I should have read the synopsis but I never ever read it :) I just assumed.
So, this is episode 0 of "Beside the Sky" :) You get snippets of the story and interviews with the cast and that is interesting when you have seen the series. I did watch this after the series aired and it's nice enough to gain some inside of the process creating this series. I guess a must for fans :)

Push and pull, an emotional roller coaster
I love this drama, i just re-watched it again. The time it came out i watched every episode 3 times before the next came out. At first it seemed like it would be a bit of a spicy drama, but it turned out to be a very heartfelt and emotional drama. I think that's why a lot of the reviews are "slightly" negative, i think a lot of people were disappointed it wasn't more spicy.I loved how i got to see more of the real Minato further in the drama, that he was not so carefree like he wanted people to see him, but in fact still a scared little boy who was afraid to love and trust. And there came Shizuma, the trustworthy guy he needed. I loved seeing the development of their story together.
The mains have amazing chemistry and their kisses and NC scenes were sweet.
I also really like the second couple, they also had great chemistry.
The series had great visuals and good music. The production did a great job.
The acting was great and the actors were very likable.
I really recommend watching.

Inquisition vibe | Frustrating to see so many stupid doctors
The vibe that the prosecutor and the lady that accused him of murder gives is persecution, Inquisition. Witch hunting... so, if you have your own opinion your own judgement you are a threat for others. Omg... cant belive the modern with hunt that is also transferred under own eyes also in 2026....hope this prosecutor and the lady are the one burned at the stake... or maybe to see a door in order to see the truth , the love, the healing.
I can't stand FL. She has a look of pity, non-stop as if she's in pain... she acts as if ML is stupid, helpless and she's quite obsessed and emotionally disturbed, she is a pushy and intrusive ,,, she is there to remind him all the time that he is ilseek... she is so insistent that i want to vomit.. just skip the moments with her... he keeps telling her to snap out and relax... and she insists omg... she is super gross
I would have really liked him to move on with his life and find another partner.
she's not in love, she's obsessed, attach, saviour behavior and carried by the wound, by the trauma that her father almost died. She doesn't laugh, she doesn't live, she doesn't enjoy... non-stop you say she's suffering and on her deathbed... would a man really fall in love with such a woman... I don't think so...
I would like that they did not remain togheter.
Is so strange to watch how people love to destroy others and focusing on negative ... I think this is the way koreans still destroy celebreties, ordinary people ... focusing on destroying them with all they have, because they dont know love, they are unhappy and full of trauma.
Only the weak people, like to destroy others.
This doctor saved more people then the weak others. Is the same like in The trauma code... only the doctors that dont love, understand the patience and are not to good at what they are doing, or they are nit devoted to their work are nit there to work and only whant to destroy the doctors rhat loved their work, to save people.
Why cant be a doctor if he doesn't feel pain. Like what?!?! Omg this is crazy... I cant stand anymore the korean bullshit... he saved so many lives and know all the tupid doctors feom that hospital exclude the goid one. Yap, because the good maked them envy becouse of theirs box brains.
starting slowly slowly to dislikes korean dramas... to much toxic behavior ... bullying everywhere misogyny, luck of privacy , of boundary s, emotional immature, the behavior of intimacy at 35 in played like innocence, shy, the females are anorexic and behave like teenagers and men enjoing this... like pedophiles profile... and so much more... not il all k dramas... but starting to notice the patterns and the illusion is dropping... and all that I see als on online is more and more a no.
I loved the ML acting and character and all his team. It was a 9 for me if the romance wasn't part of this but is 6.
