what a frustrating story!!!! FL is just the worst, both the character and the actress. I hate how she is so selfish and idiot to believe herself so much just because two people confessed to her. she is never thinking about the kid for god sakes! how does she dare to put another man into the kids life! even if you want to date him don’t bring just anybody to the kid!the 2ML is controlling, nosy and mean to the top. I can’t believe the things he said to ML about his family being at fault if he was adopted too. he more than everyone should know that you don’t pick your family. it’s just too much to bear.
I think ML character was very well portrayed and written it’s a shame they wasted such a good story.
I literally just gave 7 because of the baby and ML, but I’m being very benevolent.

Started out good, ended up flat or subpar.
it isn't a brilliant work but its an okay series. love is complicated kinda show. (the heart wants what it wants)the pilot ep was actually interesting and good, but rest of the show felt flat. (mehhh)
Summary:
I don't think there's a single one to blame here but all of them have their own flaws, i mean nobody's perfect although they're red flags and jerks here, can't deny it. I go to that later to shorten my summary.
I personally don't understand the hate of jim-toh.
I personally feel jim-toh's story more complex, intriguing and meet with scenarios that fit with people their age & reality. (school settings, we all see before rl school drama LIVE in your schools and gossips from the neighboring schools- all kinds of absurdity) The couple actually reflect some real life couples more if you think about it. Can't say that for older and more mature people, but if u focus on the school settings, many fluffy drama actually are fairytale, this is the kind of story that is always around campus somewhere. it might not be your life story but still possibly a friend's friend situation somewhere because i heard similar stories multiple times irl. fr. (or even someone once close to you)
The starting plot was actually really well done i think, i just felt the story started to go plain after, it was kinda draggy (ok sorry supporters of 2nd cp) it focuses on teh and fah which both had its fault, i can't get fah at all, is he trying to play hard to get or is he just playing with him. felt like their relationship was build on playful-body-compatibility instead, not that i have any opinions, it just lack complexity and no difference from FWB to LOVERS kinda couple, which other show provides. so i felt more lowly interested and wish to see more of the 1st CP/jim-toh. I also felt the redemption ark felt flat and was going real slow on the flow and mostly not much happening during the period other than new love interest /self destructive mode etc.
overall, i felt that some parts were really slow pacing, and could be shorten or cut, and some scenes are not long enough like the last episode finale. the start i would actually felt the story WAS a 7-7.5, BUT as i watch felt pretty FLAT like a 5-6/10 overall, nothing exciting. Okay series to watch to kill time or just for the nice NCs but thats all. skippable.
______________________________
So, anyway
flaws, oh flaws. i have some rants.
I see some people saying how much they like the teh-fah couple, i mean they HAVE their GOOD points BUT!! I also want to point out the toxic traits too that people seems to oversee. Since everyone is already writing and we ALL KNOW the toxic of 1st CP jimmytoh I'll focus more on the 2nd CP Teh&Saifah. I would say ALL of them are toxic in different levels.
Like, Fah knew his love interest's friend is interested in him but show no consideration before starting out with Teh.
Teh hides that he is also getting interested in Fah. (no wonder these 2 toxics r friends) I can ignore the early parts but when they woke up and seemingly his attraction is stronger he still lied to his friend who was honest to him.
I have more to say but im tired for now, feel free to pm or comment if you want to rant with me xD i mean discuss HAHHAA
Also they are actually similar plot shows of this in hetro romance like SO MUCH of it, but people criticize this more harshly idk why haha . thats also the one of the reason i felt the show was pretty mehhh, as its recycled plot, just in BL instead of hetro haha but still comparing some of those executed them more intriguingly.

Where can I find a Sima Jiao for myself
March 6, 2026OH MY GOD, another Wuxia drama done from my ever growing list. I love this drama at all. After riding the highs of How Dare You?, When Destiny Brings the Demon hits the spot.
We have another down bad male lead Sima Jiao who's love story transcends over 4 lifetimes. Isn't that motherfucking diabolically so green flag coded? I feel like the ending could have been expanded, but I also know that there are censorship regarding transmigration Chinese dramas. As such, I can't help but feel like the ending falls a bit average. I do must say, I enjoy watching this series, for a 33 episode series, I do am loving the prognosis of the story.
I just find it endearing how multiple lifetimes were covered and it really just puts that status of eternal love and that I will find you in every lifetime.
Such joy and admiration I have for Sima Jiao and Ting Yan, this show is definitely that Cdrama that is worth your time to watch!

If you’re thinking of watching this, don’t.
I was genuinely excited for this pairing but was disappointed bc of how much this show was lacking.1) They only had good chemistry as friends and zero as lovers.
2) Events were happening but the plot wasn’t actually progressing, the writing was sh*t
3) They were trying too hard to evoke emotions by adding that random filter and music in places it wasn’t needed.
4) I hate time jumps and this one was way too long
Overall, this was boring and underwhelming and I’m surprised I finished it 😭

Letter to the fans
When I first heard the reunion between two main lead, it really throw back to when I was watching Addicted back in the days.Personally, the script had ton of potential but is drawn back by weird decisions and ultimately budget. Unfortunately each episode is only 20 minutes with major plots that feel like fever dream or skimped over. Scripwriting felt like old bl shows in 2015 or 2016, but at least is nice to look at. This also might be controversial take but this series DID NOT need a second couple. I seriously skipped them or roll over my eyes when it come to their scene. They barely added much entertainment or move the plot point. The scene-time with them could have used for main couple and plot point. Yoki and Yang are on point when it come to chemistry, their scene at the boat was sparkfly.
My favorite part when it come to series is setting, cinematography, and town people themselves. The location scouter deserve a raise. This by far one of the mostly beautiful town ever. The location really gave the series a refreshing and editing of the show give it a refreshing feels. The blue hues of the series give a mood of a morning before the sunrise.
I really think the productions team, Chen And Feng Song did their best to give us this productions. I want to thank Chen and Feng Song who put their own money and time into this projects. I am really grateful, even though there is some draw back but I am very happy.
This is my first review, sorry for any confusion.

The Bromance
The best relationship in this show was Gyuhyun and Hajun, and Gyuhyun and Jiuk. I would have loved a spin off entirely about these three. I gotta say Gyuhyun was my favorite to watch during the whole show, Lee Sangyi is very charming to watch on screen, even when he’s being an idiot. The main romance was okay, they dragged on the conflicts between them a bit much, and I hate that the conclusion at the end was literally in the last 10 minutes of the show. Like wow you couldn’t have given them a whole episode of happiness? The side couple was also very cute, but again I think it’s because of how charming Sangyi is, you can’t help but root for him.Was this review helpful to you?
Suddenly having an AI boyfriend doesn't seem so crazy
This is my first drama of jisoo's. I didn't watch snowdrop nor that other one she did. So I came in with no expectations nor bias. Her acting was good. Honestly some crying scenes were a bit tough on her but she protrayed her character's charm and immaturity quite well.A lot of the characters were funny and relatable. If a IRL boyfriend on demand vr comes out. I would be first in line. I volunteer as tribute!!!
My main issue with the drama was her character Seo Mi Rae. She was a coward and at times annoyed me with her refusal to face her feelings and evolve. But when she eventually did, the payoff was so good. Seo In guk was amazing as usual. The chemistry was great especially towards the end and i like as they didn't waste time on the conflict that arose with goo yeong il
My second issue was the choi siwon jumpscare. I dont want to see his MAGA thick skinned face in my shows again
All in all an easy drama to digest, has a lot of gorgeous men and fun times

I cheered, I cried, I gasped
I don't even know where to start writing a review for this show. The story is incredibly complex and detailed, and with so many different characters that in the hands of an even slightly less skilled team of writers and directors, it would have been a complete mess. Something seemingly minor could happen in episode 10 and end up being important in the final arc. No detail, character or action were there superficially, everything had a purpose. There were times when I wondered how on earth they could solve this in a satisfying way and somehow they always did. The characters actions almost always made sense (there were a small number of occasions where I felt a character's motivation could have been better set up, but this is quite minor) and they genuinely felt like real people. The acting of course plays a big role in this and it was fantastic throughout. The costumes and sets were stunning, truly there is always so much to look at.This show has it all; scheming, murder, revenge, love, tragedy, power, art, music, friendships, the list goes on. I cheered, I cried, I gasped. I haven't felt this emotionally affected by a show since watching The Untamed. I can't wait to rewatch it in a year or so and see all the details I didn't notice the first time.

Just Beautiful
I don't usually cry while watching shows but here I am, a blubbering mess. The best way to enjoy this show is to watch one episode at a time over several weeks. It took me two months to finish. It would have been too heavy otherwise.Even if the first few episodes are a little boring, it will grow on you over time. The only negative point I can think of is the relatively short screentime of PBG. It honestly felt more like a special appearance than a lead kind of role even though he was present throughout the series. That said, each member of the cast did a phenomenal job, especially the older version leads.
The only way to describe the drama was that it is beautiful. No matter which stage of life you are in, you'll find something to relate with. I'm glad I watched it. I will never watch it again but I will treasure the memories and the life lessons I've learned from it.

Such a beautiful healing romance
5 episodes for now and this drama is really getting better and better! Every couple is soooo cute and well done, I'm honestly enjoying them a lot! And the way the leads are helping each others, I'm so in love with them🥹 Maybe sometimes it feels a bit rushed (not that much tho, I actually think it's a good thing that she want to open herself and change, it's not easy and I find her really strong for that), and I would have preferred if they had avoided the use of AI, but as much as I'm enjoying every other aspect of this series, honestly I couldn't care less about these things. It's been a long time since I fell in love with a kdrama this much and I'm soooo happy with this new release. I ABSOLUTELY recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?

Love that ages like fine wine
This is one of the few J dramas I have watched that has little dramatic conflict but relishes in the slow realness of everyday life. It showcases how the ritual of cooking, eating with a loved one, and going through the daily activities and the seasons of the year can be experienced in a beautiful way. Coming back to this cooking and mealtime ritual as a grounding part of their relationship, Shiro San and Kenji San strengthen their unforgettable bond day after day. Even as they go through the ups and downs of their outer life, like with Kenji becoming a manager at his salon or Shiro becoming a manager at his law firm, the dinners, the thoughtful bentos really define the quality of the relationship. In this season Shiro San is a lot less reserved about his feelings and it is revealed that he talks and thinks about Kenji a lot which he expresses to his grocery buddy (forgot her name). Kenji get to bask in the love that Shiro has for him and while it’s not overt and flamboyant like Kenji often hopes for, he starts to realize and feel the love Shiro San has for him through his actions, concern for Kenji’s health and retirement, and understanding that unique love language that his partner has for him is important, otherwise it could be easily overlooked. It shows a mature love that is silent or what the world would call boring, hidden in the mundane, and non-dramatic, even secretive. The more “boring and slow” the relationship and ordinary life is, the more I see the spirit shining through like a sunrise glowing through the trees or feeling the most sweet and pleasant nostalgic breeze. Shiro San’s daily dedication of cooking and making Kenji happy with his food, and bringing Kenji to his grocery buddy’s house for a visit, and deciding to give his inheritance to Kenji after death all show his love for him beyond what words can convey. In the end, Shiro San’s love is actually more potent than any flamboyant expression could ever be- it is contained like a fire that burns strong throughout their relationship and lives on. Most of the episodes end with the song “Shiawase no mawarimichi” (roundabout road to happiness)- each relationship is a unique expression of love and happiness need not look any certain way to be true. The last episode left a lump in my throat, a bitter sweetness - as Shiro San’s parents talk about wills and inheritance, they plant the idea in Shiro San to think about Kenji and what he will leave on after he passes away. Even though it was the last episode, it didn’t feel like “The End” because the whole show is a slice of life, and each episode easily goes in and out of their every day life… It feels so real, because even though it’s “just a show,” something about it and the feeling it evokes is very real. Their talks about inheritance and how they thought of each other- Shiro san wanting to give his whole heart and inheritance (which he would prize greatly since he’s so frugal) to Kenji even while admitting that he doesn’t know if they’ll be together forever, but deciding in his mind that he would be ok even if Kenji lives with someone else after he is gone, and Kenji replying out loud that he would be with Shiro San till death… these are beautiful moments in their relationship. The show ends on a note that leaves me wanting more- like a wonderfully tasty dish that is so satisfying and yet I want to come back over and over again. It’s really hard to put into words what this series evokes in me. It seems like the mundane every life but there’s something so beautiful born into it- a love and happiness in the air. So warm and heartwarming. Almost like watching “the good old days…”
This is the frequency where the "Mundane" dissolves and the Sacred begins. In the West, "boring" is a slur used by infantile bots to describe anything that doesn't provide a cheap dopamine hit of drama or performance. But in the world of Slow Realness, "boring" is simply the Ma (the space) where the Spirit breathes.

TOTALLY WORTH IT
I really love this drama of Jisoo because this show another side of her as an actress. I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy Boyfriend on Demand this much, but it turned out to be such a fun and heart-warming experience. The story is light, entertaining, and surprisingly sweet. The characters are charming, and the interactions feel natural and engaging, which makes it easy to get invested in the story. What I liked the most is how it balances humor, romance, and emotional moments. Some scenes are really cute and will definitely make you smile.
Overall, Boyfriend on Demand is a feel-good story that’s perfect if you’re looking for something relaxing, romantic, and enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out!

Star Power Cannot Save Boyfriend on Demand!!!! (Not worth the watch and a disappointment)
After finishing Boyfriend on Demand, I could not help but feel that the drama never truly lived up to its intriguing premise. The idea of a virtual service that generates ideal partners had the potential to explore modern relationships in a clever and entertaining way, but the execution quickly falls into familiar romantic comedy clichés. As I watched the episodes unfold, the story often felt repetitive and uneven, spending too much time on predictable misunderstandings instead of building meaningful emotional development. Reading international and Korean reviews afterward confirmed the impression I had while watching. Several outlets pointed out that the drama wastes its high concept premise and ends up feeling surprisingly conventional for a show built around such a futuristic idea. The biggest weakness, however, becomes clear in the central performance by Kim Jisoo (the FL). Because the narrative is so heavily centered on her character, the emotional weight of the drama depends almost entirely on her acting. While watching, I often noticed the same issue mentioned in many reviews and viewer discussions. Her line delivery sometimes sounds flat or stiff, particularly in scenes that should carry emotional tension. Moments that require vulnerability or inner conflict often feel restrained rather than expressive, which makes key romantic beats less convincing. Korean commentary has also highlighted issues with articulation and vocal tone in certain scenes, and once I noticed it myself, it became difficult to ignore during later episodes.
Looking at audience reactions and review scores, it becomes easier to understand why the show has received relatively modest ratings compared to other recent romantic dramas. While some viewers enjoy the light atmosphere and the novelty of the concept, a large portion of the discussion online revolves around disappointment with the acting and the overall execution. For me, the series ultimately feels like a project driven more by star power than by strong storytelling or performances. With a sharper script and a more nuanced lead performance, Boyfriend on Demand might have delivered the clever modern rom com it promised, but instead it ends up feeling like a missed opportunity.
This review reflects my own opinion, so please Jisoo lovers do not attack me blindly!!!thx 😊
