A drama with lots of Warm hug, healing & Love
The magic of In Your Radiant Season is something that is difficult to capture in mere words, yet it can be summed up perfectly in a single, visceral image: it feels like a warm hug in the middle of a winter death. In a television landscape often crowded with high-stress thrillers and cynical plotlines, this drama emerges as a glowing sanctuary for the soul. It understands that sometimes the most profound stories aren't about grand spectacles, but about the quiet, radiant moments where two people choose to be each other’s shelter against a harsh and freezing world. The "winter death" mentioned isn't just a literal season; it represents the moments in our lives when we feel cold, isolated, and stagnant. Watching this drama is like watching the first thaw of spring. The storytelling is gentle yet deeply impactful, weaving a tapestry of human connection that reminds us why we seek out companionship in the first place. Every episode feels like stepping into a sun-drenched room after hours of wandering through a blizzard. The cinematography uses soft, amber hues and intimate framing to reinforce that sense of safety, making the viewer feel as though they are being wrapped in a thick, wool blanket.
The chemistry between the leads and the sincerity of the supporting characters create an atmosphere where vulnerability is celebrated rather than punished. You don't just watch these characters fall in love or find their way; you experience their healing as if it were your own. It is a rare, wonderful drama that prioritizes the comfort of its audience, acting as emotional thermoregulation for anyone feeling the chill of reality. If you are searching for a reason to believe in kindness again, you have to watch this to get that warm hug for yourself. It is a radiant reminder that even in the deepest frost, warmth is always within reach.🌸🫂

Ignore the Obvious Haters and Watch BOD
I watched the 1st 4 episodes and I have to say it's an amazing drama with a unique concept of a romcom. The cast give amazing performances and the cinematography was amazing.
Jisoo, in particular, gives a stand out performance. Her acting skills give emotional depth to her character. Keep in mind that she won the Outstanding Female Actress Award for her role in Snowdrop. She blends into the character of Mirae so naturally and she looks absolutely magnificent.
There are a lot of Jisoo haters in the comment section so my advice is to ignore and watch it for yourself.
It seems Kpop has strange fans who will go out of their bored lives to spread unnecessary hate.

Good acting in a female led story
This was very enjoyable. The lead actress is great at this type of role and can handle both sad scenes and more comedic scenes. The chemistry between main couple was good and the story built slowly for them. The two children were integrated well into the story and had feelings and motivations of their own. The actors all were very good.It is a fantasy driven storyline with the rich CEO solving problems but that is typical. I really liked the CEO’s friends and that dynamic.
I did not like 90% of the music choices which were often maudlin and did not help the story.

The past can hold you back from better things.
Lately I haven’t been watching any new kdramas since I haven’t seen anything that had caught my attention but when I saw the trailer for this drama. I was very excited to see a something different and not the same concept as other shows. In the show the FL had given up on dating because of a heart break. Through the boyfriend on demand VR experience she started to feel feelings she thought she had once lost but even though she had realized that she knew that at the end it wasn’t real. Once the VR experience and reality started to become similar and her feelings became complicated. She had to make a choice between starting something new with someone who was real and at the end maybe get hurt or be in the VR world where she knows there doesn’t need to be an end but it won’t be real. When she made her choice to be with the ML she was afraid at first and she knows that everything won’t be perfect but she wanted to do her best with someone who she likes.
Our lives are based on every choice we make and we shouldn’t let past experiences hold us back from greater things from happening.
I honestly really enjoyed this drama it was something different and even unique in my own opinion. I really loved the acting and the cast.

A Tale of Two Worlds — One Worked, One Didn't
VR World:Out of all the cameos, Seo Kangjun's arc (ep 3-5) was the only one that actually worked for me — and personally, the only episodes I genuinely enjoyed in the entire 10 episode run. It had a storyline, buildup, and a convincing ending — his episodes made you feel the magic of the VR world and then its brutal reality, showing exactly why this world is both addictive and dangerous.
The rest of the cameos barely left an impression. They appeared and disappeared without adding much to the story. All of them were handsome in their own way — Lee Suhyuk deserves a special mention — but Seo Kangjun had that screen presence that naturally pulls all the focus. His episodes were the most visually stunning, with the dates and OST perfectly matching the mood. Honestly, once his arc ended, the rest felt dull in comparison.
Real World:
The real world storyline was forgettable and didn't add much to the overall narrative. The main couple didn't work for me either — no chemistry, no buildup, no tension, and the confession came completely out of nowhere. Nothing about their dynamic felt earned.

I almost forgot how i liked watchig this drama after readjng all those hate comment.
I really hate the fact that all you do is hate Jisoo. They say that they don't like her acting at all, looks stiff, no emotion at all. If the haters were asked to point out where they don't like her acting, can they really do it? I cringed when she acted cringe . I laughed when she acted happy . When she cried ,I also cried . I sincerely felt the story through their acting . I know the chemistry didn't show from the start and started a little late but that's because of the storyline and overall the drama was short. But i would say I could feel the chemistry despite that . And overall i like the storyI would love if the couple showed more screentime but the story focuses on 'boyfriend on demand'
Lets discuss the topic 'boyfriend on demand'
It helped Seo mi rae in healing from the wounds her ex boyfriend gave. I would say it played a major role on her until the end.
- Eun ho sunbae (character in boyfriend on demand) made her think of her ex and actually help in healing her
- her ideal boyfriend (the character she made) helped her in realising her feelings for park kyeong nam and at a bit point giving her tips on getting her better when her boyfriend (park kyeong nam ) found out she used 'boyfriend on demand' and overall when he saw his face being a character on it.
What i really liked about fl is that her character.
-i catch on her competent nature from her little habit on walking ahead of people. Esp in front of ml. That made me giggle as i see the chemistry beneath all those enemies troupe or should i say (hating each other acts).
-She hates cheaters and she is not herself. I catch on that even virtual characters count. Her attachment on one charater points out that she wants true love and know the meaning of it.
She analysed her true feelings when she started to like ml using the virtual ideal bf.
-and to those haters yelling on the character that she doesn't fit that genius producer (she won't have to need on the 'bod' guys please she was wounded and was in the phase she thought she was better alone . She forget all those romantic moments . How could she get the ideas when she was dull herself? She got those ideas from the fling moment. And webtoon ...that's all about puting your feelings into . With no emotions ,how could one ? Huh .
I like the ending when she said goodbye to the virtual character
I was on my toes how would the story of the couple would end but i was satisfied when she said
Now it's 'us'
So i was rest assured they would last long and endure together . Let me say this 'I love HAPPY ENDINGS.
And one thing why I like this drama is they tried to show how different individuals use the 'bod'
The webtoon artist and her freind.
Let's end this . If you stayed reading this upto the end I really appreciate it. This is my first review on drama. That's the dedication pulled out when one truly loves the drama and the cast and haters went on hating
ONCE AGAIN HAPPY ENDING!!

Great idea, but the execution could have been better.
Well… this drama was definitely something.I think the concept and overall idea were interesting and had a lot of potential, but the execution wasn’t as successful in my opinion. I really enjoyed the first few episodes and the whole concept of the virtual boyfriends — it was fun and entertaining to watch.
However, I think the biggest issue was that the male lead barely had any screen time, and we didn’t even get a hint that he might be interested in Mi Rae until episode 6, which honestly felt a bit crazy to me. By that point it already felt too late, and it didn’t really capture my interest anymore. I would have loved if they had shown that from the beginning — maybe while she was going on dates with the virtual boyfriends, we could have seen more interactions between them at the office and more development in their relationship.
I also think I would have liked this drama more if it had been shorter. Instead of 10 episodes, I feel like 8 would have been enough.
Another idea I think could have worked well is if the drama had focused more on the virtual world itself — for example, each episode featuring a different virtual boyfriend, and by the end she realizes that this world isn’t realistic and doesn’t truly help her. Then she chooses to live her life properly in the real world and eventually finds real love outside of it.
I also have to admit that I didn’t really enjoy Jisoo’s performance, and I’m sorry to say that. I think she’s a very talented person, but her acting didn’t feel strong enough here, and in my opinion she can’t quite carry an entire drama on her own yet. That being said, I actually thought she was very good in Snowdrop, where that type of role suited her much better.
I was also a bit surprised to see Seo In Guk choose this project. He’s perfect as always — I will never complain about seeing that beautiful face on screen. I just wish he had gotten more screen time earlier in the drama instead of mostly appearing in the later episodes.
The real highlight of this drama, though, was definitely the cameo appearances of the virtual boyfriends. The lineup of actors who showed up for those small roles was seriously top-tier, and I loved seeing all of them.
Especially Lee Soo-hyuk — that man is unbelievably handsome, I could barely breathe.
And of course my man Lee Jae-wook.

I would not recommend wasting your time watching this?
This is strictly about the characters, I don't hate any of the actors, it's just their (P'Toh's) character that I hate.Because wtf is wrong with P'Toh?? I mean forget about Jimmy, P'Toh is the real Red Flag here.
First, if you can't love yourself, you can't really fall in love with someone else either. Unless you don't respect yourself, others won't respect you as well.
Second, the way Jimmy treated P'Toh was no different than how P'Toh treated Dr. Freeze. You just experienced being with someone who didn't truly loved you and was with you for his personal gain yet you went ahead and did the same to someone else who actually loved you.
P'Toh made me mad on SO MANY things;
1. He went behind his brother's back and had an affair with his brother's best friend despite getting like a HUNDRED warning.
2. He kept lying to his brother, even when he tried to confront him he denied.
3. He kept going crawling back to Jimmy even after knowing his true intentions, like bro have some self respect.
4. He NEVER loved himself or valued himself but expected Jimmy to love and value him. Huh, WHY!??
5. When he finally met someone who genuinely loved him and cared for him, what did he do? Ha! Yes, he USED him to make JIMMY jealous.
6. He freaking said Yes to the doctor when he, himself was not ready and was so not moved on. He thought being with doctor ("using this doctor") would help him "move on" from Jimmy. Did that work? Nooooo
7. He was so freaking cold with doctor, he maybe unintentionally disrespected doctor AND HIS FEELINGS SO MANY TIMES.
And guess what??
After ALL OF THIS, who is the victim?
P'Toh, yes!
I don't know how, trust me I really don't know how, but he and all of the other characters think that P'Toh was the "Victim" in all of this.
Other than P'Toh character, I liked their acting and their chemistry. Specially the 2nd couple🤌😩
They were so cute, I wish P'Toh's character was not there and these two could be the main leads🥲
I couldn't focus on anything else because mostly I was frustrated about P'Toh's character (as you can see above).
I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND WASTING YOUR TIME WATCHING THIS🫣

Underutilized concept
Edit: The score is 6, but for me generally 5/10 means that show is average. So it makes the show slightly above average and can be enjoyed, but I wouldn't recommend it.I came to this show because I was interested in how it would tackle the concept of a virtual partner from a female perspective. I gave it the benefit of the doubt during the first half of the series, but in the end I was disappointed.
The story has an interesting premise. Mi Rae is a webtoon producer who becomes responsible for managing an artist after her coworker quits. While dealing with this artist, she gets a chance to try a piece of virtual reality gear that allows her to experience a fantasy-like romances. Meanwhile, she develops a rivalry with her cold and introverted coworker.
The concept itself is interesting, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. At its peak, the story explores the perspectives of three female users of the device. I was hoping it would present three distinct viewpoints and explore the consequences of becoming too immersed in virtual reality. However, in the end, the story mainly uses this idea as a plot device, replacing more cliché elements like a love triangle.
Mi Rae’s story revolves around coping with her breakup with her boyfriend. At first, she uses the virtual boyfriends as a way to solve her artist’s problem. As the story progresses, it begins to pick up somewhat, exploring her past and the unresolved feelings she still carries. Her rival coworker also starts to play a bigger role, and Mi Rae has to navigate between her real emotions and the fantasy offered by virtual reality.
On paper, the resolution of this storyline makes sense at first glance. However, because of the weak characterization of the main characters, it is not as compelling as I expected it to be. I can’t deny Ji Soo’s charm, but she isn’t the strongest actress. I believe a more experienced actress could have made Mi Rae a more compelling character, although the script is also to blame.
The male lead, Park Gyeong Nam, played by Seo In Guk, is a cold and quiet man with a somewhat peculiar personality. However, he also suffers from weak characterization. He initially seems like just a normal guy, but we don’t get much background about him. Despite that, I still enjoyed his character and the way the relationship between him and Mi Rae unfolded in latter half.
Yun Song’s story (the webtoon artist) involving VR is also underdeveloped and doesn’t get much screen time, even though her experience arguably should have been more significant, given that she is a romance author.
Meanwhile, Mi Rae’s friend treats the whole thing more like a game, which is honestly fun to watch, even if she doesn’t get much screen time either.
The show also only briefly touches on the predatory monetization model of the company producing the VR boyfriends, but treats it more like a joke than a serious concern about the mental well-being of its users. It could be argued that this was meant to be subtle, but it ultimately feels underexplored.
I would say that show gets better in latter half, when focuses more on real life more than virtual reality.
Visually, the show looks fluffy and vibrant. The production quality is definitely high, but it doesn’t quite manage to hide the weaknesses of the script.
In the end, the show feels like a missed opportunity. It introduces an intriguing idea and hints at themes that could have been explored in a much deeper and more thoughtful way, but it ultimately settles for a lighter, more conventional story. While the production values are solid and some moments are genuinely enjoyable, the weak characterization and underdeveloped themes make it difficult for the series to live up to its potential.

Demonic Boogaloo
Doubling down on the original’s mix of supernatural possession, grotesque body horror and shock-heavy exploitation, Devil Fetus 2 is somehow even more unhinged than its predecessor and that's even before you consider it's title. There’s an almost raw, almost punk-like energy to it, playing the whole ordeal straight no matter how unhinged its chaos gets with a steady escalation of bizarre imagery that only gets stranger as the runtime goes on. That is, if you could even see what was happening half the time, given this is a highly elusive film and the picture quality, even on the best release, is pretty appalling. However, the direction by Tom Lau is filled with flashes of creativity; scenes will frequently pivot from eerie supernatural dread to sudden bursts of outrageous gore or surreal supernatural effects, which undoubtedly help balance out the otherwise grim tone the film carries. It’s the kind of film where every ten minutes something stranger than the last thing happens, often leaving you wondering whether the cast knew what was coming next, subtly was definitely never on the table, however. Despite its title, The Rape After is a pretty gnarly piece of commercial underground cinema with some extremely crusty visuals, begging for a proper restoration. Poster goes hard as well. Was this review helpful to you?
Something icky this way comes.
Full on maximalist horror, Devil Fetus wastes no time getting down to the gnarly goodness, unleashing a series of wild, over-the-top gross-out attacks on the occipital lobe at every possible moment. It's a positively ludicrous dose of gleeful insanity and maybe the best 90-minute prophylactic advert ever crafted. Packed with plenty of exploitive sleaze, including horndog ladies who love to make sexy time with the demon, the film is directed with an incredibly frantic pace and visual flair by Lau Hung-Chuen; its boundless energy and momentum are simply infectious. It can be surprisingly intense at times, with its nightmareish atmosphere, wonderfully grotesque practical effects, and disturbing body horror often overlapping with the film's more surreal elements. Yet it still manages to include a healthy dose of humour, including the best hard cut I think I've ever seen. Unfortunately, because the film jumps from one scene to the next, there's little narrative cohesion beyond the initial setup, yet it serves as a rather ingenious way of keeping you constantly on your toes because you never know what sort of chaos will unfold next. Especially when it’s all accompanied by a bit of cheeky Vangelis on the soundtrack as well as Ennio Morricone's score to The Thing, big win there. Offering up a very convincing case for careful family planning, Devil Fetus is an absolute must-see for anyone considering having kids. Was this review helpful to you?

Where is the plot?
There is such a thin plotline in this series that I struggled to get through it, and I'm being generous when I say that it had a plot whatsoever. I don't know how this show is rated significantly higher than (for instance) Love in the Air, which was a hundred times more entertaining in all ways. Every event that does happen in the show is predictable.Strangely, we are given hints at things going on with side characters, but nothing more (Jade's off-screen love interest that he occasionally texts while smoking, Johnny/Naru obvious chemistry that never becomes anything, the sasaeng whose meeting with Akin seemed to have had a profound effect on him but then we never see nor hear of her again, Mildy's comedic role that we get for like two scenes even though he was supposed to be very close to Jin who is a main character...) They threw in many threads, and left them all untied. Were they afraid to let things happen? As far as I'm concerned, the more than is going on, the better. I had to multitask hard to alleviate boredom while watching Top Form.
The lead actors were not believable to me in any way until their characters started dating, from which point they did have some believable chemistry and emotional moments, especially Boom. One of the only things I liked about the show was how much Akin changed when he decided to open up to Jin, and he suddenly seemed vulnerable and eager for love rather than cold. The extent to which he opened up was unexpected and probably the only interesting thing about this show. As a character, Jin was basically flat, just pleasant and nice the whole time.
I admit that I'm one of those people who can enjoy a show with no plot if it's full of spicy scenes (e.g. My Stubborn). However, in my view (because this is a highly subjective aspect), the NC scenes of Top Form are not that special either. Yes, they are tastefully done, but they're mostly just artistic close-ups that let you imagine what is going on rather than showing all that much, so it's nothing that makes me stop in my tracks. Still, I liked the sudden passion that turned into the honey scene, and I would say the scene is well worth watching if you like NC scenes. I also couldn't stop thinking that that honey is NEVER going to come out of that carpet.

"Love can be used to trick people"
Clans of Intrigue was another bonkers whodunit extravaganza from Chor Yuen, Ti Lung, and Gu Long. Maybe not a cast of thousands, but certainly a large and unwieldly who’s who among Shaw Brothers staples wandered onto screen only to be murdered soon thereafter.Chu Liu Xiang, the ethical thief, is accused of stealing the Tianyi Divine Water poison and killing four clan leaders. Kung Nan Yen from the Divine Water Palace gives him a month to find the real killer or his life is forfeit. Chu crisscrosses the area hunting down clues and thwarting murder attempts on himself. The renowned swordsman will discover that enemies may be allies and allies might be enemies as he seeks to uncover the truth while trying to stay alive.
Ti Lung shone in this role. He seemed to take delight in the light-hearted, skilled thief and swordsman. Ling Yun would have a larger role in Legend of the Bat but made the most of his sword for hire role here. Nora Miao, Li Ching, and Betty Pei Ti all played swordswomen with Chu in their sights for various reasons. Tien Ching and Yueh Hua’s characters had their own secrets to bear. This was one of Yueh’s stronger roles. He could be rather stiff in other roles so it was fun to watch him exercise his acting muscles in this one. Ku Feng showed up at a clan’s gambling den, another interested in party in who killed the chiefs.
This film was a wuxia detective story as Ti searched for clues with killers on his trail. I’m always amused when the bad guy wears an unassuming bright red costume. To quote My Cousin Vinny, “Oh, you blend.” There were surprising twists and turns for a 1970s martial arts movie.*** I’m finding that Tang Chia and Huang Pei Chih worked well together as martial arts directors. The action was fast and acrobatic. As much as I love Ti, he could border on kung fu posing at times and this choreography seemed to suit him.
If you enjoy old kung fu flicks and don’t mind a rapid release of characters and information, this is one to try. I’m disappointed that I’ve watched all the Ti Lung and Ling Yun “buddy” movies, they had a nice bromance. As always, I rate these films on a curve.
6 March 2026
Triggers: An arm ripped off. Suggested sexual encounters off screen. Suicide.
***The film had a lesbian relationship without making it too weird. A major feat for the time.
***Spoiler comment below:
There was also an “intersex” character which at first made me nervous because I feared the character might be shown in a derogatory manner. Thankfully, this character was also not ridiculed. It was a “gotcha” moment but for 1977 they didn’t get gross in their language about the character. The situation was simply accepted matter of factly which was a nice surprise even if it might have pushed the bounds of realism.

Even if you avoid transmigration, give this one a chance
I liked this more than I expected. My usual tendency is to avoid any sort of transmigration or rebirth stories. They just reek of Mary Sues and OP characters. This one was an exception to the general rule. Not totally revolutionary, but certainly a move in the right direction.I especially liked the relationship between ML and FL. It wasn't the explosive sort. But subdued one where before being romantically involved they are friends/allies.
The only reason I'm saying this is because of characters like Xiahou Dan and Xie Yong'er. I loved them so much. They weren't perfect, faced inner turmoils and had layers to them. They weren't one-dimensional characters. And the actors pulled through. They revealed the characters' emotions, and it made me love them even more. They were written with intricacies, taking into note the reality of transmigration (if it was possible). I also loved Bei Shuo. Whenever they were on my screen, they had my attention. Especially with the side characters and their tiny funny antics.
Wang Churan is really pretty, and she certainly made Yu Wanyin adorable. But at times, I did feel she was extremely stiff. Especially during her crying scenes or in high-stakes emotional situations. I could just tell with her that the director told her to cry, scream, etc. Her character also wasn't layered. I don't know anything about her motivations. She felt quite one-dimensional to me when compared to characters such as Xiahou Dan or Xie Yong'er. Not OP though.
For the villains...they were just dumb. Part of the reason the 'heroes' won was because of the overwhelming incompetence of the villains. There were so many inconsistencies in the plans made by the protagonist that one could easily see through their subterfuge. But the writers deliberately, all of a sudden, made the so-called competent villains unable to see the holes.
On the point of villains, oh, how much I hated Xiahou Bo/Prince Duan. When he got his compunction, I cheered (Episode 30). Kudos to the actor, though. His expressions and all the geezer act certainly made me want to punch him through the screen.
That being said, what I do think the drama should've been 30 episodes long instead of 32. The last two episodes felt like a long epilogue and lost my attention. The OSTs were also too loud and overused.
