A film that reminds you to go home to your mother.

In my personal opinion, the premise of this film is very simple, but I think that's precisely its strength. The aftermath makes you want to call your mom, if you can't go home that time.

The simplicity of the premise the director wanted to convey was also conveyed very well by Wooshik and Jang Hyejin. You can understand Hamin/Eunsil's point of view, so you won't blame either of them. Wooshik and Jang Hyejin's tandem is really powerful. If I wasn't a K-drama fan, I would definitely believe that they are mother and son, lol.

What I like here is that Seungyeon's character isn't just Hamin's “girlfriend”; she plays a role in the development of the main character. Hamin and Ryeoun were born to be soulmates and their love is pure. Honestly, I'm looking forward to Wooshik and Seungyeon's reunion in Whale Star because, surprisingly, they're so compatible and both incredibly charming on the big screen.

Oh, and another thing I love is the film's dreamy score?? Love it?? I'm sure the director intentionally made it dreamy to remind the audience that there's still a fantasy element in this film.

Light and fun

I liked the concept and the execution was decent too but there were a few things that disappointed me. I'll cover those before discussing what I enjoyed.

The drama relied heavily on advertising the star studded cast but when it actually came to their appearance, some of them were barely there for more than a minute. That was my biggest disappointment. Don't advertise something if you can't deliver it. I really wanted to see more of Kim Young Dae. Like a full date. They did him so dirty.

Jisoo's acting received a lot of flak and though it wasn't particularly good, it wasn't awful either. Maybe because I recently saw worse. The plot and editing does help a lot. I did find her behaviour cringe when she was paired opposite Seo Kang Jun especially in ep 3. I didn't particularly enjoy her chemistry with any of the leads. In fact I couldn't understand why Seo In Guk's character would like her based on the faces she made around him. It made him look like a creep at times for pursuing her.

On to the good - The plot of a woman being able to date multiple good looking men virtually was cool and fun. The acting of the men were quite good. At least the ones with longer roles. I really loved Seo Kang Jun's character. I also loved Yoo In Na! I kinda wished she was the FL because she looking so stunning and charming. Even Jisoo's friend's character was so fun! I liked both the authors too. I kinda liked how Seo In Guk's character changed and the behind the scenes moments from his POV were great.

There was no dull moment while watching the drama so it's great when you're bored or need to watch something light.

There are at least 3 OST songs that I really liked and need to look up.

Overall, the show is light and enjoyable. Just wish we had some more screentime for some of the boyfriends so that and the lack of any sizzling chemistry were my biggest disappointments.

FATED TO LOVE IN EVERY BIRTH BUT TOGETHER, FOREVER ??

A Good Sequel to "My Boo" movie, which is a simple, straightforward & light-hearted Horror Comedy with a touch of Rom-com.

This Sequel Movie concentrates more on Romance (Main Leads' Human-Ghost love relationship from prequel) than Horror Comedy.
This is purely Time Travel Supernatural Romance, explaining how ML & FL are Fated to meet from Four births, how they fall in love in every birth / reincarnation and how they are meant not to be together in every birth (this part is sort of sad n emotional).

This story includes the two births shown in the prequel -- one past reincarnation of FL as rich lady & ML as theif and present reincarnation of ML inheriting the haunted house & FL as ghost and that's how, it is a continuation of the story left out in prequel but with different ending.

***
There are no scary horror scenes, no jumpscare moments and no haunting horror comedy scenes in this, unlike prequel.

Be aware, there are some Gore scenes, especially when the 2nd birth of the main leads are shown (the Ghouls devouring humans)

*** STORY NARRATION:
Story here, as extended explanatory version to the prequel's story, is Very Good
but the Pacing is damn slow in many scenes in first one hour of the movie.
And so, this is Not Captivating enough or Impressive like prequel.

(I can not tolerate sloth-paced ones and so, my interest to watch this, dropped but continued watching for the sake of my Watching Tradition that is not to drop anything, once I start watching, hehe).

Anyways, Last one hour of the movie is Very Interesting.
The Editing in this last part, showing one scene from every birth, one after the other, is Good.

*** CHARACTERS & ACTORS:
There's a diversity in all the roles of both the leads in all births, especially FL's roles -- in 1st birth, she is a warrior, 2nd life as Ghoul, 3rd as a rich lady and 4th (present birth of ML).

Loved her acting in all the roles, from a tough warrior lady to a sweet ghoul to a rich lady with grace.

ML roles in all births are Ok -- Loved the Inspector (2nd birth) and the one as child admiring FL in 3rd birth.

Even the supporting characters are reborn along with them and are Good. Some of them are funny too.

Actors Gee and Bow should do a full length Rom-com together or a historical romance.
They look very cute together as a couple ☺️

**** SPOILER (STORY) ****
It's sad, how ML is the reason for FL's death in all births.
All the past lives, those stories and their characters including the support characters are Written Well.

Also, I loved how ML time travelled to all births, learning their story in every birth and tried to stop her death, which led to change their fate and future (hence, Ending of prequel is changed)

Liked the Prequel's Ending but this Ending here, is more of happier one, though Open Ending and completely different :)
This Reimagined Ending to their love story is a Good Closure.

(Since it's an Open Happy Ending, can we hope for another sequel with pure romance but a Definite Ending for their love story this time, Haha Huh?! :) )

*** RATING:
My Rating is 7/10
(Could be more, if not for the Bad Pacing)

One Time Watch!
Usually, Reincarnations and Time travel trope are Interesting but somehow here, I liked that simple Prequel more.

***

One of my favourite kdramas of the year!

I didn’t expect to love this drama as much as I do now. I thought we were going to get a cute romcom and yes we did get that but we also got to see so much more. The character development and the emotional moments made me fall in love with this drama. The way certain moments were so relatable made me love it even more and I know that I’ll be rewatching this drama again and again!

Better than Expected

I was really excited about this drama because the cast was just !!! However, I got a bit nervous when I started seeing all these posts complaining about Jisoo's acting. Note that I've actually never watched her in a drama but like her as a whole! I actually found her portrayal of Seo Mirae to be quite good! Perhaps it was a character that suited more of her style.

The storyline was fun, and I enjoyed the use of the VR "game" in the storyline. However, at some point, I did start to fast forward through more of the VR storyline (mostly the secondary characters) just because I wanted to see more of the main couple's storyline on my screen! Honestly, the relationship was so cute that it had me wanting that for myself as well.

The pacing of the drama probably could have been better (i.e., some of the conflict in the latter episodes probably could have happened a bit earlier so that we could have a more developed storyline after the fact). It felt like the last two episodes really tried to pack a lot in, and some of the earlier episodes probably had more fluff than it needed. The 10-episode length, however, would otherwise have been good as it might feel draggy if it went longer.

All in all, I quite enjoyed the drama (and stayed up late to finish it). I also love Seo Inguk and Seo Kangjoon and might go digging for some of their older stuff as my next drama!

Please Come into My Heart(2025) is a very well done transmigration romance comedy set in a historical period with He Cong Rui (as Cen Zan) and Liu Nian (as Song Yao Zhi) in the leading couple’s role. The cast did a good job bringing their characters to life and the leading couple has great rapport. The romance is slow burn but it developes naturally and the leading couple has a sensual and lovely romantic chemistry. Overall, this drama is entertaining, enjoy it!

watch carefully and you’ll understand all plot nodes! happy ending !

I have a huge love for this project, despite everything! The main theme of the drama is the problems of generations. If you find it difficult to watch historical dramas with complicated plots, conspiracies, and fights, then skip this drama. Don't even leave low ratings, as it would be unfair to such great project.
Many people have complained about acting, plot and the visuals.
I agree that the plot is complicated, and due to the number of important characters, it's difficult to understand who is against whom and which sect they follow. Despite the complexity of understanding the story, I enjoyed watching every episodes!!! I've seen many criticisms about the bluish filter, but I believe it perfectly complemented the overall picture on the screen, as well as the color palette of the outfits and settings of scenes. This added a sense of darkness and mystery to the story as it unfolded. There were also complaints about the editing and cutting of scenes, but I didn't notice anything like that, perhaps because I was focused on understanding the plot and the characters' stories.
Initially, I was excited about this drama because of the chemistry and beautiful visuals between Yi Zhan and Shang En. Although I wasn't familiar with Shang En's acting at the time they were filming the drama. Despite the criticism directed at her, I wasn't bothered by her performance. I appreciated the way she portrayed her character. Although she was impulsive and unapproachable, there was a heavy burden of responsibility in her heart, and she handled all the challenges with grace. Even after overcoming them, she carried them within her. Her eyes spoke volumes through the screen.
Yi Zhan is a true star of China! I'm thrilled to see him in a historical drama, dressed in such grandeur and with his long hair, which perfectly complemented his character. His gaze was penetrating and heart-wrenching. His acting was exceptional. Mu Qinyan had an enchanting aura, and he exuded energy and obsession towards Zhao. He was a master manipulator and schemer, but that's what you'd expect from someone representing a demonic sect. His plans were masterfully executed. Mu Qinian is really the kind of character that makes you want to keep watching the drama!
While watching, you deeply get attached to all the supporting characters!
Almost immediately, I started to guess the identity of the man in black. The actor's eyes were very expressive of his anger!
For me, this project was extremely anticipated, and I didn't feel disappointed in it for a single moment! The happy ending made me even more excited! Of course, you need to be in the right mood to watch this drama, but I still really recommend it!

Released in August 2024 on the Vivamax platform, Ang Pintor At Ang Paraluman is a Philippine erotic drama that attempts to blend the artistic process of painting with carnal desire, following the "fantasy and passion" formula typical of the studio.

The Plot
The story focuses on Tristan (Ali Asistio), a talented but lonely painter who finds his ideal muse in a mysterious woman named Paraluman (Athena Red). She agrees to pose nude for his work, but imposes one strict rule: he must never touch her.

The film explores the escalating tension between the artist and the model as Tristan struggles to contain his sexual desires and fantasies, attempting to find satisfaction solely through observation and art.
Critical Points

The "Untouchable Muse": The script leans heavily into the concept of prohibition, which creates the central conflict. However, critical reception has been mixed, with some viewers feeling that the chemistry between Athena Red and Ali Asistio isn't always convincing.

Production Quality: As is common with many fast-tracked Vivamax productions, the film suffers from some continuity issues and acting that occasionally feels wooden or over-the-top.

The Erotic Element: The film doesn't hold back on sensual scenes but tries to give them a more "artistic" veneer through the painting sequences and set design, though some critics pointed out that the technical execution (such as certain practical effects or prosthetic work) left much to be desired.

Is it worth watching?
Yes: If you are a fan of Vivamax productions and enjoy dramas with romantic fantasy premises and a heavy focus on sexual tension.
No: If you are looking for real psychological depth regarding the world of fine arts or a refined technical narrative.

Verdict: This is another title focused on the platform's quick adult entertainment, using "art" as a backdrop for scenes of nudity and seduction.

Everyone has his own Love story

I really like what KBS Drama Special did this time with the "Love: Track" series—a compilation of ten 30-minute stories about love that inspire and encourage viewers to dare to open their hearts once again, not only to the stories presented but also to the love in their own lives. All the stories are quick, interesting, and original. They all talk about love, using different elements and showing how love connects all aspects of one's life. Their purpose is to show that Love is what matters most, and theologically, indeed, Love is the driving force of life, of creation, of all experiences, and of our salvation, so I hope this series helps everyone believe in Love.

I posted a short review of each episode individually, so here I will simply rank them by how much I liked each episode.
Best ones: 1. Onion Soup after Hours / 4. My Father's Funeral
Still great: 3. Love Hotel / 8. Minji Minji Minji
Very good: 2. When We Were Wired / 10. A Soundtrack Like No Other
Liked but has some flaws: 7. More than Stars / 9. Love's Grace Period
Just good: 4. Finding Us / 6. Kimchi

PS: Stay until the end because the last episode finishes with an end-credit epilogue that connects all the stories into a beautiful homage to Love.

Charming but Slightly Unfocused

Head Over Heels tries to accomplish a lot within its 12 episode runtime. Its greatest strength lies in the romantic school comedy built around the light shamanism theme. The playful tone, combined with the youthful dynamics between the characters, gives the show its most engaging moments.

The drama also attempts to introduce heavier emotional arcs to add depth to the story. While these elements do raise the stakes, they don’t always land with the impact the situations seem to call for. Early on, the narrative also suffers from a few inconsistencies that can be frustrating. Fortunately, the show finds its footing as it progresses and becomes more engaging over time.

Still, it’s hard not to feel that the series might have benefited from leaning more fully into its school drama and comedic elements. By trying to juggle too many directions, several characters end up underused despite having clear potential. The villains are certainly effective at provoking strong reactions, but the resolution of these arcs don’t feel quite as rewarding as it could have been.

On the production side, the OST fits the show’s atmosphere perfectly and helps maintain its emotional and comedic balance. Cho Yi-hyun carries much of the drama with a strong performance, though the casting overall works well.

In the end, Head Over Heels is still a good drama and one that I would recommend. However, it also feels like a story that could have done even more with its characters and themes. Shamanism is deeply rooted in Korean culture, and while the series presents it in a somewhat romanticized way, it adds a unique flavor that helps set the drama apart.

A gloriously trashy slice of gritty kung fu action

A gloriously trashy slice of gritty kung fu action, Slaughter in San Francisco is a sensational title that offers a pared-down promise of disreputable thrills, pure grindhouse poetry. Having originally been conceived as another vehicle for Bruce Lee, before his falling out with director Lo Wei and jumping ship to make Way of the Dragon, the undoubtedly sloppy production carries with it a certain appeal that's raw and unpolished, its pace is constant and unrelenting, even if certain events just feel like an excuse to get to the next bout of fancy fisticuffs, but it all comes across as a piece of weirdly charming exploitation. It feels quite like a low-budget film from the US underground scene awkwardly crossed paths with the action of Hong Kong and the tone of the typical American crime shows from the same era; scenes feel stitched together rather than carefully constructed, with the dialogue occasionally drifting into unintentionally comedic territory and some truly lousy police work populating its runtime. That being said, there's a lot of nicely photographed location work, while Lo Wei's choppily staged action carries with it a visceral urgency; the performances are all mostly solid, although Chuck Norris receives top billing, he's actually the villain with a diabolically cool name and sense of style donning Ray-Ban sunglasses, a fedora and a fur coat or watching his underlings practicing karate while eating an unnaturally large apple. Unfortunately, the film does very little to establish Don Wong despite his protagonist status, while Sylvia Chang makes an extremely early career appearance. Despite its plethora of action, Slaughter in San Francisco is very much a footnote in plenty of established careers, its serious edge ultimately at odds with all the inevitable B-movie silliness but that's where the fun really lies.

Contemporary Fairy-tale

Straightforward yet magical. This last segment of the "Love: Track" series contemplates the creation of love between two people who don't even know each other, but whom Love decides to bring together. It is always a bit magical when love appears, and in this drama it happens subtly but strongly, starting with a book, a song, an email… almost as if destiny had something to do with it.

This is a gentle story with kind people and positive, almost fairy-tale-like emotions. In some scenes it was a little exaggerated, for example when a guy plays basketball (in street wear, nonetheless) and they need one more minute of the game, but he leaves everything because he received a text message… strange. Also, I don't get why they chose to sing in English if they speak Korean. I am sure the songs would be better if done in the Korean language. But all in all, it is a nice end to the series, and after the ending there is a special epilogue with all the stories from the series joined together for another lovely look at the mystery and beauty of Love.

A long fought battle

Carrying with it those familiar themes of brothers-at-arms and the bonds of fellowship that run through so many Shaw Brothers films, Five Shaolin Masters is certainly a long fought battle amidst this struggle for survival. It's certainly a tipping point for its creative team, serving as a relatively lean martial arts showcase for its stars while also marking the last collaboration between director Chang Cheh and action choreographer Lau Kar-Leung before they went their separate ways. It undoubtedly spreads its attention too thin in attempting to balance the five main leads' screen time; it unfortunately drags its feet for a lot of the runtime with long stretches of minimal activity occasionally interspersed with extended martial arts sequences that, while impressive, border on the repetitive, even exhausting. Thankfully, it's a well-shot picture with some wonderful photography, aesthetically pleasing training scenes and lovely camerawork throughout, with even the occasional bit of comedy, although it veers quite heavily into gallows humour. The heroes aren't that deeply explored, but their dedication to Shaolin traditions and mutual trust creates a strong sense of camaraderie with each master representing a different martial style and personality, which gradually converge in the film's climactic confrontation. It almost gives the film a sense of strategic buildup, like pieces moving into position before the final strike. The performances are mostly solid, with maybe the sole exception of Alexander Fu Sheng, who looked like he was suffering from the heat sweats throughout. I just found his antics rather grating, more than endearing, but that seems to have been by design, given he was nearly always accompanied by childish music. Despite my niggles, Five Shaolin Masters is still very much worth a watch; it may stand as a rather influential piece of kung fu cinema, but it takes ages to really hit the ground and go.

Hands down the best Cdrama of 2026 so far.

Came here for Zhang linghe and yes he didn't disappoint. First time seeing the female lead and im not complaining. This drama is a masterpiece. The main cast, even the supporting casts are nailing their roles. Not skipping any side characters.
I love dramas with strong female leads and in this one, well i dont want to spoil. Those who haven't watched, what are you waiting for. In my opinion, this drama is worth it so far , i hope it stays this good. 2 episodes a day is killing me. Will have to patiently wait to binge watch or im just going to rewatch it from ep 1 once it finishes airing. Zhang linghe! yeeees

Started great, ended ehh...

I had very high expectation for this one and it did start off really good however as the story progressed it got a little boring? Maybe even repetitive. The acting was pretty good tho i'll give them that, just hoped for a better plot, overall its a good binge watch drama if you're looking for something quick or to put in the background while you work or study!
