Dear. ImCOnfused
Dear. X was a great was to end the year. 2025 failed to make a great impression on me. I can't really think of show stopping, amazing, spectacular shows from this year... Maybe like officer black belt and like season two of WHC2? Idk, it failed miserably. I think other years have done better, and i can already tell the new year will be much better. Some of the dramas that started in 25' and ending in 26' are still airing like "ProBono," which seems promising so far.Anyways, this was one of the highly anticipated shows of the year. I think the directors did an amazing job with the filming of this show. the scenes were amazing and very emotional and dark. Some parts cringed me out like the clips of her at the cathedral style award building, it looked so green screen LOL. But the show was filmed great, nonetheless.
The scripts and storyline is where more issues pop up. I don't have a problem with the characters themselves, i think they were actually written really good. They had a lot of dept and went through many emotions throughout the course of the episodes. I actually appreciated how dark they made the episodes, even going as far as to kill off all of those who are around her. It showed her true colors. The problem I have is with the ending.
Maybe, I'm not intelligent enough to understand the ending, but i found it to be too loose ended. I literally have no idea what happened. The whole country is looking for her, her childhood best friend just died, she managed to run off, and all you see if her staring at the car in which her friend is dying in, and it's... OVER??
I feel that that ending was high key terrible idk? I can't really even think of maybe other possibilities because it was so bad. I guess i can see how maybe the writers what the watcher to make their own conclusion, but the only thing i can think of is that she wouldn't be able to achieve her dreams of being on top, now that she's sacrificed literally everyone around her and for nothing. I assume she would be found and put on trial for EVERYTHING she's done. So, i guess the writers knew what they were doing, but i couldn't help but feel empty afterwards, and maybe that was their intention the whole time.
After some time i think I've thought of ways to end this show proper because after sharing my opinion on TikTok through a comment section, a girl attacks me, telling me that if i didn't like the ending, " i didn't understand the show." ??? My initial thought was to be embarrassed for this person... idk i always thought that these types of things were opinion based or at least just many perspectives. Anyways i think that the show could have dived into her mental health disorder towards the end. They could have shown her even getting treatment at a mental hospital for her clear issues. I think this would have been a better ending for a show that's definitely not getting a second season, idk i just hated how open the actual ending was. Cause how are they gonna barely mention in the end how she got issues, but then not go into it as it pertains to her really...

I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but it was quite cool.
I like thriller/crime/revenge dramas. It wasn't too good but I think I'd give it enough credit. Good cast, plottwists were quite unexpected ones and I've liked the main actress' work before and this drama is not an exception. Although I agree that the storyline could've been better. For me personally the ending of the last episode could've been more romance oriented but it is what it is.Was this review helpful to you?
A Chill Slice-of-life With No Interest In Showing Any Of Its Tepid Stakes Being Resolved
Hirayasumi is based on an award-winning manga that continues to be published at the time of this review, and so part of my issues with the writing in this series may well be because the parts of the stories that were available or chosen for this adaptation may well have had good satisfying resolutions in subsequent issues of the manga, but they are decidedly not present here. You will find many more positive opinions about this series in the comments below, and if you liked the manga, this series may well be exactly what you hoped it would be (though there is at least one reader in the comments who disagreed with one aspect of the casting). For me, however, the series had some mildly interesting set-ups that could have led to things like character growth, dramatic confrontations, heart-warming reconciliations, and maybe even romance but all of that takes place off-screen to make room for more quotidian scenes of grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning. The series centers on Hiroto who has recently inherited a small but cozy house in a relatively downscale residential neighborhood of Tokyo. Hiroto is a free spirit who once had successfully launched a career as an actor, but he suffers intense social anxiety in the presence of any woman he finds attractive and so was basically unhireable for any role requiring him to do a scene with one. That could be a very interesting story to tell, but all of that takes place before the start of this series and is only covered in a couple of flashbacks. It's also an interesting set up for his interactions with Yomogi, a pretty realtor in the neighborhood, who he keeps encountering. Do we have a pairing that could lead to Hiroto's overcoming his anxiety and Yomogi opening up her isolated and lonely lifestyle to a broader group of friends? Nope. That might increase one's investment in these characters and we can't have that. There are groceries to be bought, dammit!
Joining Hiroto in the house is Hiroto's cousin Natsumi who has moved from the countryside to start art school. She secretly aspires to be a mangaka despite the fact that she knows in her very soul that if she lets anyone know, it will expose her as a geek. The horror! Natsumi is overly dramatic, happily blunt with Hiroto but very shy with the new people she's meeting in college. Natsumi submits her manga to contests, and gets brought into the system to develop her work for publication. And so obviously her story will be about what she learns about creation for commercial publications and the struggles of becoming a mangaka? Naw. That might be interesting. We need more scenes of her complaining about working parttime at a restaurant.
Also along for the ride is Hideki, Hiroto's best friend from high school who is facing the worries and stress of having his first child in a marriage which may well already be troubled. On top of that, his work life is shit. Surely, we'll get to see him grapple and engage with these issues, right? Eh, well. A little. He does learn to immediately wash their one bottle for formula once the baby is born. Yay?
As you can tell, my issues with this series are pretty much purely with the writing. And even there the characterizations are fine and, in some ways reasonably, interesting. But the series actively avoids putting the resolutions to any of these plot threads on screen. There is a lot of tell and very little show whereas there is plenty of time for random encounters on the streets and eating meat buns while walking from the combini.
The production values for this series are fine, and the acting is quite good throughout given the meagre material the actors are given to work with. Mori Nana as Natsumi brings an energetic physicality to this role which is quite fun, and she has a delightful chemistry with Mitsushima Nazuna (who is pretty new to TV and film) playing Akari, Natsumi's one new friend. (To the point that it's very easy to ship them for a GL which, sadly, would be far, far too engaging of an idea for this project.) Yoshimura Kaito is good as Hideki, an easily unlikeable character who, like everything in this series, is not entirely redeemed in any sense. But he does bring some some intensity and emotions to his scenes which help relieve the stretches entirely devoid of any other interest. Okayama Amane as Hiroto and Yoshioka Riho are both good solid veterans and playing likeable characters here. They might have had some chemistry together had the scripts let them.
All in all, the series is a chill look at a year in lives of a few characters in residential Tokyo. There are generally some good food moments in each week's episodes, but the series is decidedly not one of the many food-based jdramas. The themes are mildly countercultural and against the more typical salaryman culture found in Tokyo and the rest of urban Japan. But there are much better series out there directly addressing that issue in far more interesting ways than you'll find in this series. You may well enjoy this series because of its relaxed pacing and low stakes, and readers of the manga may well enjoy seeing these characters come to life. But if you enjoy dramas for, you know, the slightest bit of drama (or at least, any kind of resolution to said drama), look elsewhere.

kinda reheated
I watched this with my dad since he really wanted to watch it, at first I was a little nervous it might be kinda inappropriate to watch with my dad because some kdramas get r rated for a little, but luckily there wasn't any. SO, if you're into that stuff, you probably won't like this show, but it was my cup of tea.The cast was good, but idk how i feel about the ML, i think she did a pretty good job tho so idk. The male lead was great at being a petty king and the side characters were just as good.
My problem starts with this show lowkey being reheated nachos of Mr. Queen. It's not the exact same, but it had to have been somesort of inspiration. Or maybe the idea is so basic that they overlap? Both were good shows but they are so similar it's impossible to not think of the other a little. In the end they both end up in the modern world in some way.
I liked how in the end they reunited in the 21th century. Better than her having to be trapped in such ancient times for a boss lady chef.
I had a huge problem with his weird personalliy and lowkey anger issues. He was very cynical in his thinking, even if we can argue that maybe that is how he was raised, it's still gross how he thinks so little of a human life. Even treating the ml so terribly before he ends up falling for her... I also don't like how he cheats on his wife with the ML. I understand they dont love eachother but wth? Are we serious? Not even the slightest attempt to make him seem guilty of adultery. And the ML seems too okay with it as well.
I think a 9/10 is good enough and maybe even a little too generous.

A Dark Revenge Romance Where the Leads Match Each Other’s Crazy
A rebirth revenge drama with a dark romantic core, where obsession turns mutual, revenge is methodical, and the leads match each other’s intensity perfectly. If you like devoted yandere MLs, power couples, and republican-era aesthetics, this one delivers. The male lead is the highlight. He embodies that delicate balance between dangerous and tender-possessive, intense, but never cartoonish. His love is desperate (those puppy eyes🥺) yet restrained, obsessive yet sincere. It’s a performance that makes you sympathize rather than recoil, which isn’t easy with this archetype.
Unlike many revenge dramas, this one doesn’t sideline the romance. Love and vengeance are woven together, given equal weight, and allowed to breathe.
The costumes and cinematography elevate what could have been a familiar plot into something more memorable.
Savage revenge. Sweet-but-unhinged romance. Fire chemistry. I highly recommend it.

Hair Untangled
This movie was actually pretty good. I watched it with my dad, and he's the one who put it on and made me watch it with him. The cast was great, i think the directors did an amazing job with picking each person to play their part in whatever role. It's crazy seeing the ML get better and better roles. I get what the script was trying to do with thinking curly hair in a place where everyone has straight hair can make you feel ugly, but idk how to feel about it. I like how she left her hair alone after she permed it. I'm struggling a little to remember why I rated it a 8/10 at first, but i think the movie was good not great. It was just a goofy movie, maybe not as deep as others. Overall, it was good. Was this review helpful to you?

Worth watching
Not gonna lie, I'm usually hesitant to watch these vertical series cause they're short and I prefer full series but I don't regret watching Tutoring My Enemy. It was an interesting watch, I loved the couple, their romance, the cute moments, the mafia part, the funny parts (James' dad was hilarious especially when he faked his death) I hope we will get more series with the main leads being a coupleWas this review helpful to you?
It was quite fun actually, easy to follow
I'd start out by saying that I was looking for a fun korean show that didn't have too much suspense and that would've been more like friendship oriented with a little romance on the side. I agree with others that it wasn't the best show I have seen in my life but honestly? It wasn't the worst either. This show is very including - plus size girl's love life; wlw & mlm relationships; sextoys being taboo and also disability. Sure, the storyline wasn't the best, but I felt good during the whole series and not once was I uncomfortable. Also being basically the same age as the characters I did relate to many things happening to them. So I'd actually recommend if you're looking for something fun and something you can giggle about and maybeee just maybeee kick your feet;)Was this review helpful to you?
Love Meeting at the Comic Club
PLOT: At medical school, FL, a pathological liar/medical student, desperately wants to revive the Comic Club. There, she meets ML, a famous but anonymous manga artist (Black) and psychology student. He takes her on as a case study to analyze her lying habits. Events are organized for the Club, love triangles arise, the struggle against past traumas unfolds, and the romance between ML and FL develops.+++ Two sweet romances (ML-FL & Best Friends) with endearing and well-developed characters.

Excellent coming-of-age story, inspiring and realistic.
Excellent coming-of-age story, inspiring and realistic. It features strong characters who are quite different from one another. The ending feels a bit rushed, especially once university ends. In the final part, the parents—whom I really liked—disappear completely.
I especially liked Huan Er, the kind of friend everyone would love to have, and Du Man, who could have been explored a bit more.
The ending, although very realistic, only tells us what happened to the high school friends; we learn nothing more about the families or the friends from university.
In the end, there’s a happy sense of longing for these friends we watched grow up.

Great Acting from the Whole Cast, Captivating Plot, But Too Many Tragedies
This is a great story. The acting from everyone is done very well, and I love that I am getting certified evidence that Ren Jia Lun is a captivating actor, despite the criticism I often hear about his wooden, copy&paste acting or his "No Kissing Rule" (which is true, and is in effect here, but he has time and time again proven that you can really sell a romance without any explicit intimacy).PROS
The Main CP Falling In Love - Despite the opening scene showing a rather forced marriage between 2 people with no affection, the immediate next flashback arc (which lasts several episodes, and really should’ve just been the chronological exposition of the show) was like perfect sugary romantic candy. And their relationship is so believable and goes so deep, and has so many real, non-superficial, marital issues that they deal with with so much grace towards the people around them. So the main CP is a win win WIN, and all of the side couples are also very enjoyable (everyone is so dang attractive in this drama).
The Rizz of Ren Jia Lun - RJL has so much charisma, this is the drama that made me realize that his face is actually attractive. It has attractive angles, a manly eyebrow bridge and cheekbones, glistening eyes, and the fiercest eyebrows you’ve ever seen. And he seems to have a very stern, furrow-browed default facial expression, and that perfectly, perfectly fits his character as the Emperor. It is a deadpan look, but it is the kind of deadpan look that gives you the impression “I am the one in charge here. De facto. My aura alone commands everyone’s attention.” And seeing this expression always mixed with some very whipped, lovesick boy idol drama-type behavior is the most satisfying juxtaposition, it gives “I am a man, and I am not afraid to love you” <333. And on top of that, he also has some great micro-expressions that I remember him also pulling out in previous dramas like DHR, so it's definitely not a fluke. An example is early on when he tries to get accepted into Fenglai Pavilion and he wakes up after they’ve tied him up; when he recognizes his surroundings, processes the situation, and then quietly says to himself “I let my guard down”, there were SOOOO many small expressions and beats in that realization moment, and it gave so much context as to who his character is. I’m telling you, some may see his acting as stiff, wooden, and always the same, but the proof is in the minor details, this guy can ACT.
The Brotherly/Sisterly Love - This drama features really strong bromance between siblings who should’ve been rivals for the throne, but instead trusted and understood each other like no one else (all this in the face of a mother who vehemently tried to pit them against each other their whole life to get her biological son to fight for the throne?? Like not only did he not give in to this manipulation to grow animosity towards the ML, the emperor, but he even spent his whole life pretending that he was somewhat in agreement with his mother in order to protect his older brother). And then there are so many touching sibling moments between the ML and his 2 younger siblings that I just had to repeat (XY coming to ask her gege to allow the boy she likes to like her back, in the middle of the night while he is sleeping on the empress’s bed, whiel giving him the biggest most innocent puppy dog eyes, after she spent most of the drama plotting to murder him before she fell in love with someone). So many people are used as pawns to destroy the ML’s life, his siblings, his wife, and yet he never falls for it and always recognizes that someone else is pulling the strings, so there is no retaliation, no enemies with the middle man, and no bad blood. We need more smart, perceptive, cunning, cool-headed ML’s like him.
Fierce Battles w/ the ML Coming Out On Top - And then there are so many great battles that the ML is in. Like he has been an emperor since he was a teenager or younger, not even the type that needs to go to war and lead troupes, and he has his own secret service - why is he such an OP fighter? And this is even when he was born weak and has lived with a fatal poison in his body since birth. I love, love, love over-powered ML’s, but this drama doesn’t even need to have one since it is a romance+politics drama, so the fact that it has that is just icing on the cake.
Epic Reveals - And also, there are some really great “satisfying” reveals, particularly in episode 17 when he reveals his Emperor identity to Kumor, after beating him in a physical combat 1-on-1x and then flexing on how much power and reinforcements he has, and then choosing to show mercy and give in to all of Kumor’s demands. What a boss-like reveal + negotiation, I literally replayed it several times.
Jam Packed with Sweet, Happy Moments - Like in Episode 24, which was the “calm before the storm”, when everything is going right, the main villain is presumed defeated, all the side couple are coupling up and the main CP is even expecting a baby. The first 2/3rds of this drama had so much fluff and cotton candy, anyone would be full on all that they gave us.
CONS
Bad Ending - I haven’t seen how they do the ending yet, but **spoiler alert** I know that everyone dies, and this is pretty upsetting because the ML has been set up to be so OP and cunning and 5 steps ahead of everyone else that it is almost inconsistent with his characterization to ultimately lose in the end (lose in the sense that he may stop the bad guy, but he will be unable to protect the lives of anyone he loves or even himself).
Too Many Realistic Tragedies - There were too many tragedies that I had to skip over because my heart couldn’t take (e.g. when the FL miscarries their child due to a punch in the stomach from the ML’s sister of all things, and she’s not even evil or an adversary, she was just weak and manipulated through hypnosis). I don’t know how the ML/FL can still function immediately after all that, but I sure couldn’t.
So I'm docking points because it made me sad, and docking points because the ML seems too good to die, both of which, will limit the re-watch ability of this show for me.
And also, I still have 5 more episodes left, but it really seems like we are in the last battle, especially since we’ve already seen so much tragedy and death of leading characters. So I am concerned about how they will drag out this battle for 5 more episodes, and how many more smaller losses I’ll have to sit through knowing that the ML and FL, SML and FML, and everyone else will probably lose and all die in the end. I don’t anticipate any more scenes that will be making me happy, and that’s a lot of tragedy to sit through, so I don’t look forward to finishing this drama.

Not Flashy, But It Stays With You
Idol I became my first drama review of 2026, and it honestly felt like a thoughtful way to start the year. This drama doesn’t rely on glamour or exaggerated moments. Instead, it quietly tells a story about identity, pressure, and the emotional cost of being an idol in a harsh industry.Kim Jae-young as Do Ra-ik delivers a calm yet emotionally layered performance as an idol caught in a complicated situation. His character feels restrained on the surface but deeply conflicted inside. Choi Soo-young plays Maeng Se-na, a smart and composed lawyer whose hidden fangirl side adds warmth and depth to her role. Their dynamic feels natural and grounded.
The supporting cast also strengthens the story. Jung Jae-kwang as prosecutor Kwak Byung-gyun brings tension and seriousness, while Kim Hyun-jin as Park Chung-jae adds quiet support and loyalty. Members of the idol group, including Park Jeong-woo (Choi Jae-hee), Choi Geon (Lee Young-bin), and Ahn Woo-yeon (Kang Woo-seong), help portray the reality behind idol friendships and struggles.
The pacing is slow but intentional, allowing emotions to settle rather than rush. The drama feels reflective and personal, focusing more on inner conflicts than dramatic twists. Overall, Idol l is an underrated, character-driven drama that stays with you. Starting 2026 with this as my first review felt meaningful and quietly impactful.

Simply Magic
I watched initially for Zhao Lusi ( she is my favorite Chinese actress ) and because I like fantasy/ historical/costume dramas more than modern ones. They are more challenging for actors and not everyone can act in these conditions and circumstances that well, not only to express all art of feeling, but movement too ( fly, fight, dance) wearing costumes and looking elegant at the same time, etc. In this dramas the actors can unfold and show all their talents .I found the story interesting and captivating, with dramatic twists and turns, suspense, a rollercoaster of emotions, from laughter to tears, but a happy ending for all. After Love Like the Galaxy and Who Rules the World, it took me a long time until I find another drama with the same impact. Now I founded.
Acting/Cast : Zhao Lusi , as always, amazing. She was portraying both characters, the childish, kind and lovely A Yin and the powerful and majestic Feng Yin. It was first time to see Wang An Yu acting , and I was impressed. Lusi hat good chemistry with all her costars, but I can say, Wang An Yu is now my favorite. He seems to be a warm, authentic and natural person . They matched very good together and their chemistry was amazing. I saw many BTS with them and I saw their interactions after the show, inclusive at the Tencent Video All Star Night 2023 and 2025, and I was impressed from his warm and caring art toward Lusi, especially now, after all she did have to endure.
I liked the acting of all of them, inclusive the villains ( the devil God was so cool ) , the friendship between the 4 leads ( the second leads too ) and the Tree life Stone, the relationship between the devil God and Xu Yan , Bibo and the Dragon, and all of the Daze Mountains too.
I also liked to see actors from other Lusi's dramas again, especially those who played Hong Yi ( Li Yun Rui ) and Lin Mo (Wang Zi Rui) from Love Like the Galaxy, Xiu Yan / Ao Ge ( He Kai Lang- very good to see him more and in a better character ) , Qing Yi ( Xu Ling Chen ) and the Dragon from Who Rules the World , and Xian Shan and Xian Zhu from A Female Student Arrives at the Imperial College. Feng Yun ( Xue Jia Ning ) will be in Love's Ambition with Lusi too, and I have read , that she visited her in the hospital.
A big like that the Main Leads were dubbing their characters themselves.
The music was magic, both the songs and the instrumental , and it was a very good choice for the opening and ending songs to be sung from the 2 Main Leads, Lusi and An Yu . They have both beautiful and warm voices.
I am rewatching now, and I will rewatch for sure in the future again.
Overall, it was a world full of emotions and magic and beauty ( from sceneries, costumes, accessories and hairstyles, to elegant movements, amazing fighting scenes and visual effects ), and a story about true love, friendship, sacrifice, good and evil, and fortunately with a happy ending for all, inclusive the devil God. Just one thing I missed : Feng Yin and Yuan Qi deserved a hug at the end, and we too.

Very disappointing and annoying
I usually don't write reviews because I believe that everyone should get into a series with no biased opinions, but this time, I just have to vent.If you are like me, and start this drama because of Cheng Yi, be prepared to be disappointed. Not in him. Not at all. But the way the writers dealt with him. His acting is superb and he looks amazing in every scene... but at some point it's hard to find him in the drama.
First of all, I have to list the positives: beautiful music, costumes, hair styles, sceneries. Great acting from everyone really.
Unfortunately, that is about all the good I can say.
Now on to the bad things: the main couple doesn't feel like the main couple after about the first third of the episodes. They don't even seem like main characters after that.
The script is BS really. What the heck is even going on in this drama?
Also, I really hate when they turn on good people so quickly and united. I mean, that Jingting did horrible things over and over and over and over again but he was never really punished and each time everyone believed everything he said without a single thought. While on the other hand, the one person who's done nothing but good, saved and helped everyone is neglected, beaten, punished, tortured, crippled, exiled and branded as a traitor... This is so annoying. Though one thing I must applaud is that the main characters don't turn against each other. I find nothing more frustrating than a couple or siblings or friends who always help each other, save each other, love each other get turned against each other by someone who everyone knows is out to get them or just plain evil. But then that person says something and those who vowed to love each other just turn against each other. At least they did not have that in this drama. The main couple and friends always stayed united. But the rest....
Another annoying person is Hongye... he is neglecting, berating and downright abusive towards his son who despite it all still loves him. He then acts like a good father to everyone else and we are supposed to feel bad for him that he could not be a good father to his son. He had every opportunity... I still don't quite get why he thought a soldier has to be raised that way. Oh and everyone just accepts that he wants to be a good father even though he does everything he can to prove otherwise... Right. Great.
Then the other thing that makes me angry is the spider boy. I can't be bothered to remember his name, so I'll just call him 12581. This obsessive, entitled love he has is really infuriating. I can accept that this kind of love exists, but this is a really huge extreme and should not be the driving force of a third of this drama. And everyone wants to save him and forgive him... I'm sorry, he killed a lot of people and did a lot of bad things.
Since the main couple started being neglected I had a bit of a hope that Cheng Yi will manage to not die in his drama (he's not been so lucky in his latest projects) and that is the only reason I watched until the end. How it actually went for him, I will not go into here but I knew that no matter what, it will be a disappointing ending. And it was.
Just to be fair, I'll admit that after about the first 12 or 13 episodes, I started watching the rest with a lot of skipping and finished the remaining episodes in 1 day. That's how entertaining I found it.
I give this drama and overall 7 just because of the acting, the music and the costumes. And the fact that the song Cheng Yi sang is played a lot. Other than these things, it was an absolute disaster.
And this concludes my very first review on MDL. I hope the next one will be more positive.

So, I started watching this after He Yu's role in Speed and Love. I just gotta say: his role and character is completely different in this drama. Here, he's the little golden retriever type of boy constantly trying to pursue the woman he loves. Hair theory is truly a thing though after I watched this drama. Not to say that he didn't look good here but I like his hair a lot better in Speed and Love. I do like that He Yu can play these very different roles, though. He masters both of them so well. This drama was very similar to Find Yourself in a way, which is why I wasn't amazed at it. I didn't like how the FL kept on pulling herself away and acting cold, when a wonderful man was right beside her. However, I do think this drama is better than Find Yourself in the pacing and length of drama. 29 episodes is good enough for this plot because any longer, it would start to drag on. I also noticed that even though I couldn't binge this whole drama, once I started watchig a few episodes at a time, I couldn't stop. So, I watched this drama in like segments of like bingeing 3 episodes at a time. I don't know though. It wasn't like a drama that I was super invested in, I kind of played it in the background of doing other things, iykwim. The ending was great, overall, it was a decent watch. But, it wasn't like a drama that I will constantly think about every day. Through just their 1st meeting, I can already see the comfort that Lu Zheng An gives Lin Yang. The minute they hugged, Lin Yang melted into his arms and started crying. "I care for him because he cares for me." "She is my bottom line." Even if they don't both admit it, they are each other's most important person and everyone can see that. In the back of their minds, they will always care about the wellbeing of the other person. Li Tian is actually one of the most annoying and delusional characters. Since the first episode bro, causing messes for no reason. I loved the scene after Li Tian and Lin Yang fought in the office and Lin Yang told Lu Zheng An that she wanted to walk alone, but he followed her always like 5 steps behind. I lied, take that back. Halfway through the drama, Li Tian actually becomes an understanding and respectful person. After admitting that there is no chance between her and Lu Zheng An, Li Tian became a likeable person.
Lu Zheng An is such a nice guy towards Lin Yang. When watching the drama, I sometimes forget that he's 7 years younger. He's a good caretaker. Knows how to cook, clean, and care for a person emotionally as well. But she keeps on pushing away. Ugh...I know why she's pushing but I wish she wouldn't. FINALLY!! Episode 14 and Lin Yang realized how important Lu Zheng An is to her and how much love and care he has for her. He even made his Moments private to share his thoughts throughout life all these years with Lin Yang only. All those posts and messages were directly for her only.
UGHHH...Their dating arc was so cuteeee. Lu Zheng An and Lin Yang having to hide it from the public, but Lu Zheng An not being discreet at all. I loved it, there were so many cute moments and sweet encounters between the two of them.
I think the reason that the age difference doesn't bother me in this drama is because I can't really see it. Lu Zheng An is so mature and knows how to care for Lin Yang perfectly. Although he may act goofy sometimes, he still helps her plenty. He cooks, cleans, cares for her when she's drunk, and emotionally helps her to open up. Not that only that, but he helps her friends too. He fully immerses himself in his life and tries to make it happier and easier for her, which is exactly what a bf should do. So, personally, the age gap isn't shown through their actions and it doesn't bother me at all.
HAHHAAHH!!! What a dirty mind they both have. When they were sitting on the couch in episode 20 and all the movies/shows that popped up on the TV reminded them of *that*. Like, even a rocket or like a dam that was pushing out water got them both flustered ash. And then after they did some not very sibling-like activities. I should have seen it coming. Although I gotta say, that scene was pretty graphic for a cdrama. Usually, they just cut it and skip to the after part, but it was pretty graphic is all I gotta say.
I love how they dealt with the public exposure and that whole conflict. Both of them have been so confident and secure in their relationship, always fighting for the other. Lin Yang and Lu Zheng An fufilled the promise of not giving up on each other. Ugh, I love Lu Zheng An's dad. He understands and has always supported their love and then giving his hard earned money to solve the issue. Aw...Lu Zheng An crying and then the dad saying "Bring my daughter-in-law back." I loved that sentence. I love the moms too later on, once they understand the whole relationship and start realizing how good of a situation this is. I'm so glad there wasn't a brbeak up or last minute misunderstanding. That would've actually made me crash out. Both of them are trying to protect the other and you can blatantly see it. Especially loved when both families agreed to their relationship and were even happy about it. Their families are the most important parts of their lives, so the fact that they all agree and hide nothing makes it so much less stressful.
Awww....I loved the ending of this drama. It was so reassuring and closing for everyone. Every single character grew into a better person and found their own path in life. I especially love the proposal scene with Lu Zheng An and the slideshow that was playing of all the people that he loved in his life. It was really wholesome and sweet. Also, I love the full circle moment with Lin Yang's child and Cao Ling's child as well. It's just like the same dynamic that Lu Zheng An and Lin Yang had, except those children are only 5 years apart. It makes it seem like this story is just beginning and never ending.
