It's Good

I usually don't like to give points this early on... but it's score is so low despite it's quality. I don't usually watch 'on air' dramas, but I am following this one and it is good.

I don't know much about law. Someone wrote, it is not logical from that aspect. but I came here for rom com and it is going well. That's why I gave it all 10. And I am looking forward to future episodes.

I just wished they wouldn't show the girl getting depressed when the dating rumors were out. I don't want this show to support the toxic fan fantasy. Other than that, I liked everything.

FL seems incorrigible until...

At first FL is not likeable. She seems to be a schemer and a manipulator. But as the story unfolds, you realize that had she not done the things she did in the early part of the drama - coming on to ML, acting as if she wanted to complete the sex act but once he finally gives in, she suddenly reverses. This seemed very puzzling but eventually you realize that he would have kept her in the role of plaything and never married her because of his trauma related to his mother's death and FL resembling the woman responsible.

I also felt some type of weird way because it almost feels like "grooming" if you read into the lines like when they're about to consummate, he says "remember what I taught you". The only thing that makes this a little less problematic is I do think he waited until she became an adult before being inappropriate with her, I also think he tried to resist somewhat but sis was going all out.

A huge plot point is FL was a child (I think they said 8) when she "blackmailed him to take her in". (He was a teen/no more than early 20, I think.) But I'm still not clear what she possibly could have blackmailed him with. Of course, it could be a shortcoming with the writers but it could also be a subtitle issue. That has happened where I've rewatched a drama from a different YouTube channel or different streaming platform and suddenly everything makes sense.

Such a cute couple and talented actors, but that's the only highlight

Things I adored

1 The FL. A great actress and such a cute beautiful one. I loved every minute with her. No one is as cute as her and I will definitely look for other series she's part of.

2 The ML. What else can anyone say other than "what a handsome, gorgeous and talented actor"? He was perfect for the role. Just perfect. I will also seek to find other dramas he played at.

3 The chemistry. They were so cute and adorable together. The scenes they interacted were amongst my favorites. To be honest I could do with watching only their scenes. They were the highlight of the series. When I think about it, it's surprising to give such a high rating at a series I only loved the main couple and disliked almost everything else, but here we are. They were so charming the stole my heart and I disregard everything else. Never happened before, but there's a first time for everything.

Things I loved

1 The powers the FL had. It was fun to watch her taking down the villains. The contrast between her small stature and her abilities was comedy gold.

Things I liked

1 The FL best friend. She was a good friend and a good actress. Nothing more though. I don't think he was developed enough for me to care.

2 The 2ML. At first I disliked him, but I ended up liking him and feeling his pain and his heartbreak. He was a good friend and I even liked his interactions with the ML.

3 I liked the brother of the FL. I wish his love story had ended otherwise and that he had more scenes. He could be an interesting character.

4 The father of the FL. He was a good father and they could have done a better job with him, giving him more chances to shine.
This is what lacked the series. Character development.

Things I disliked

1 The ML when he overdid the cuteness. When you are so handsome and cute at the same time, you don't need to overact. it came out as childish instead of appealing. That's my only compliant about him though.

2 The game the FL conceived. It was idiotic and so childish. I'd never play it.

Things I hated

1 The mother of the FL. No matter if they tried to redeem her she was apathetic woman and she did some things that made me cringe. I hated what she said to the FL, how she interacted with her husband, her friends and the mother of the 2ML. An awful example for any woman and mother out there.

2 The villain. Well it would be surprising to say the opposite but I hated him so much I can't even describe it. The actor did of course a good job if I hated him so much, but he did such a good job I never want to see him again in anything.

3 The whole gang thing. What a waste of words and time. We could have something more interesting, funnier and we were stuck with a stupid plot that wasn't in the least interesting or appealing. I hated every moment of it.

4 The company employee who was responsible for the FL's game. I didn't find him funny at all. I wanted to fast forward every time he appeared. Such a stupid and over the top character without any charm. Over the top characters don't bother me but they should have at least a bit of charm or talent. Awful.

Honestly, I don’t really know how to feel about this show. I have to admit, I was expecting more thunder, but what I got was just a rainstorm. It started off promising, full of tension and hinting at an intense, gripping drama, but as the episodes went on, it lost steam with all the misunderstandings and ego clashes. At certain points, I was literally rolling my eyes. Overall, the acting is good and doesn’t drag the show down, and the soundtrack is absolutely perfect.

A true masterpiece, plain and simple. It touched something deep in me, something I didn’t even know was waiting to be moved. The extroverted Yamada Koichi falls in love with the closed-off Oumi Mitsuru. Two lonely souls reaching out not just for love, but to be the most important person in someone else’s life.

But don’t expect a sweet, typical love story. I knew this drama was going to destroy me when it throws a gut-punch in the opening seconds and one of them dies. But this is not a story about zombies or the supernatural either. It is a powerful story about eternal love, about death, about grief. I cried in practically every episode, wanting them to find a way to make their romance work, to find a way to hold onto their love against all odds.

The sad ending broke my heart into a million pieces. But in that heartbreak, there was beauty too. Losing someone doesn’t erase the love you shared. We can move on with the memories we have of that person, and those memories will keep us going. And yes, some loves are forever.

Subtlety or omission?

The text relies heavily on what's left unsaid. Minimal dialogue, long pauses, scenes that end without catharsis. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it feels like someone forgot to write half the script and called it art.
There are interesting conflicts, but many are abandoned halfway through, as if the drama were afraid to face its own consequences. Emotions are suggested, but rarely explored to the end. There's that constant feeling of "okay, I understand the pain... and now what?"

The idea of women uniting with each other, especially to end each other's suffering, is very interesting. However, this idea falls apart in the first 5 chapters of the drama. Everything was going very well until the aggressor was killed and the story became what it became: boring, disconnected from the premise of the first chapters, and tiring to watch. Honestly, a waste of time, which is truly sad. When I started watching the drama, I had rewatched Gone Girl a few days before; and during the minutes and hours I was watching this drama, I thought, what if they had been more like Amy and the ending was less of a chase and more about them running away?
It would be better and would bring a much better message. I don't care about these supporting characters with uninteresting and unnecessary stories, I want the protagonists' story to have a good ending, that's what I want!

In the end, it's a drama that stays with you. Not because it transforms you, but because it leaves a feeling of calm emptiness, almost unsettling. The kind of story that stays inside you, looking out the window, undecided whether to leave or not.

And perhaps that's its greatest success... and its greatest limitation.

I spent the whole series with a serious case of second couple syndrome, rooting for a romance between Yamase and Sakuma, and I was really hoping the spin-off would focus on that. Usa Takuma and Nagumo Shoma have great chemistry together, and it would be awesome to see a show dedicated just to their relationship. I’d definitely watch it.

I liked the second season way more than the first. In At 25:00 in Akasaka 2, the focus is really on the couple’s romance, and we get to see them in sweet, domestic moments together. On top of that, they’re both competing fiercely for the same role, and against my expectations, that rivalry ends up being resolved in a really romantic and supportive way. Both of them feel more emotionally mature this time, and even though they’re in the same profession, they support each other. Once again, Niihara Taisuke and Komagine Kiita deliver heartfelt, engaging performances. They’re both so expressive that they can convey emotions without even saying a word.

What I really liked is that it’s basically a show within a show, which made it pretty fun to watch. Two introverted actors reconnect years later as the leads in a BL drama, and as filming goes on, their professional relationship slowly starts blending with personal feelings. But in the second half, the introspective story drags on way too slowly, and the romance is missing that spark. Still, Niihara Taisuke and Komagine Kiita give honest, engaging performances, and I really enjoyed their chemistry.

My obsession and love for Hua Yong?❤️

I cannot believe I almost missed this masterpiece 🤌😭
Honestly, when I first heard they've shown male pregnancy, I was almost set that I'm gonna drop this and will not watch it. Then people told me “Not to miss this masterpiece" and I'm very glad I listened to them. I mean I rated it 10/10, I can't even remember when was the last time I rated a series 10/10.

Okay, here it is, it's going to be long so take your time reading it.

I myself am not very familiar with the ABO concept so 1st and 2nd episodes were the learning phase for me. From 3rd episode, I started catching up and I got HOOKED🤌❤️

At first during the 3rd and 4th episode, I was kinda mad at Hua Yong for being so manipulative honestly (later when I saw the whole thing I kinda understood why he did what he did)

Honestly, episode 5 left me speechless and I had so many questions at that moment and this episode was when I finally "accepted” Hua Yong is a maniac 🫣 I mean to change expression as quickly as he did when that detective entered the room was insane🤌
And the way he was acting like HE was abused by "Alphas” was actually pretty crazy.

By episode 6th, I was kinda done with how naive Hua Yong would behave in front of Sheng Shao You. Like he's so pitiful and innocent (with the devil inside). But that honestly was pretty annoying but I moved past it, again, as I realised why he did what he did.

Now, let's take a moment and talk about episode 9 for a moment. I seriously don't know what to say but at the same time I have a lot to say. Firstly, I did not expect their first time to be like this (I know it's something out of the box but I honestly didn't), secondly, bro wtf? Like I understand it was your rut and you didn't have control over it but to freaking leave the next day and to tell him this via A LETTER??? Bro are you crazy?
The way Mr. Sheng cried for him, it just broke my heart into a million pieces 💔
I mean I understand you wanted him to develop that dependency on you and for that to happen, you had to be away from him for a while, but Hua Yong could at least have chosen a better time for that. I think Mr. Sheng needed him the most at the point, I mean that proud S-class Alpha was just r**ed, doesn't matter if that was you or not, you could have at least been there for him.

But by episode 11th, I finally realised whatever Hua Yong did was for the best (for himself). I mean he has been following him for 15 years so it's very obvious that he knows he'll not accept an Alpha nor will he accept an illegitimate child. Honestly I don't know why but I expected Mr. Sheng would accept Hua Yong that very same day, maybe in a couple of minutes or so.
Although he didn't accept him so easily, it was very clear that Hua Yong was successful in making it almost impossible for Mr. Sheng to live without Hua Yong. So I think it's safe to say that Hua Yong knew what he was doing and he did his part very well.

In episode 14th, when Hua Yong threatens the doc saying, “you're telling my Alpha to sleep with other Omegas?” I believe this line was the final breakthrough for me to fall madly in love with Hua Yong🤌😭❤️❤️❤️
I don't know why but the way he said it was just🤌🤤
After this my obsession and love for Hua Yong just kept growing and growing 🫶❤️

I was kinda disappointed with the ending because it was too rushed, I expected it to have a proper ending. But ehh at least they gave an amazing show and Hua Yong, so I won't complain much😂❤️

This absolutely is a must watch and if like me, you're also concerned about the male pregnancy thing, then I'll tell you what someone in the comments told me, the male pregnancy thing has not been shown a lot, it's just in the last 1 or 2 episodes and that too, not in the appearance but they're just talking about it and no it's not really weird. Rest assured, it's definitely, DEFINITELY, a must watch drama🤌❤️❤️❤️

I love dancing, so I knew I’d fall for this movie, I just didn’t realize how much. To me, you listen to music with your soul and dance with your heart. A great dancer doesn’t just move to the beat, they feel the music, as if every cell in their body is a note being played through the dance. And that’s exactly what the movie is about: love, but in a broader sense. Not just romantic love between two people, but also the act of feeling, of surrendering to emotions you can’t control.

I don’t see Shinya Sugiki and Shinya Suzuki as opposites. In fact, they’re more alike than they realize. Both are professional dancers who’ve dedicated their lives to the dance, which is at the core of their identities. And while they emphasize different sides of dance, Sugiki prioritizing strict technique over emotion, and Suzuki prioritizing desire and emotion over rigid technique, they’re still two sides of the same coin. That similarity is what makes their relationship so magnetic and what kept me glued to the screen. Each sees in the other both a reflection and a contrast.

They also recognize in each other a silent pain they both carry. I wish we knew more about their backstories, what shaped them into who they are. Suzuki says he can’t stand lies or betrayal. Who lied to him? Who betrayed him? Could that explain his arrogance and disdain for elegance, finesse, competitions, and audiences? At one point, Fusako says Sugiki believes he has to suffer to grow stronger. What happened to make him become the “grim reaper,” killing off all his feelings just to be stronger and successful? I don’t think it’s simply because of his failed relationship with Liana.

As for the romance, I’ve always seen Sugiki and Suzuki’s relationship like a moth drawn to a flame. They’ve always felt this magnetic, irresistible pull toward each other, an admiration that was almost impossible to control. And working together turned that admiration into something deeper: love. When Sugiki danced with Liana, it was forced by the competition committee. But when he invited Suzuki to dance, that was a true declaration of love. He chose Suzuki, and in a way, crossed that line and lost himself. It was also a declaration of love for dance itself, where both of them allowed themselves to feel everything, together with the audience.

At first, the audience’s applause was hesitant and confused, but as they kept dancing, Sugiki overwhelmed by emotion, Suzuki more restrained and technical, the applause grew louder and louder. With each performance, they showed what they could achieve if they let go of their fears and insecurities, the things holding them back from what they truly wanted. That’s my favorite scene in the whole movie.

Takeuchi Ryoma and Machida Keita’s performances were absolutely phenomenal. The two-hour film flies by thanks to them. Not to take away from the rest of the cast, who were flawless, but honestly, the movie could’ve been just Ryoma and Keita and it still would’ve been amazing. Their chemistry is out of this world. If Ryoma’s hips had me hypnotized, Keita’s eyes had me completely captivated. He conveyed everything: admiration, love, pain, doubt... all hidden beneath Sugiki’s rigid, cold exterior. Netflix nailed the production, and the soundtrack was fantastic.
I desperately need a sequel, a mini-series, a special episode, anything. I’m not picky. The story of Shinya Sugiki and Shinya Suzuki cannot end here.

I know this isn’t a film for everyone, but if you allow yourself to feel the passion, you’ll be swept away by this beautiful story. Highly recommended!!

Loud Emotions, Scattered Heart

This film feels like a storm that makes noise without always knowing where it’s headed.

O Typhoon Family aims to explore grief, family dysfunction, and buried resentment through dark humor and chaos. The premise is promising. A fractured family forced together under extreme circumstances should spark insight and emotional reckoning. At times, it does.

However, the execution is uneven. The tonal shifts between satire and seriousness are abrupt, making it hard to fully connect with the emotional core. Characters are intentionally messy, but the lack of grounding makes their arcs feel more exhausting than enlightening. Instead of catharsis, the chaos often overwhelms the message.

There are moments of sharp commentary about obligation, money, and familial disappointment, yet they’re scattered rather than developed. The emotional payoff feels muted because the film spends more time amplifying dysfunction than resolving or meaningfully exploring it.

🌧️ 5/10 for ambition and moments of insight, held back by tonal imbalance and a storm that never quite finds its center.

Dreams, Detours, and Choosing to Build Forward

This drama isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about courage in the present.

Start-Up captures the raw chaos of chasing dreams before you feel ready, but what truly elevates it is the choice it makes about love. The story understands that growth sometimes means not looking back. It honors timing, action, and emotional bravery over sentimentality.

What I loved most is how Dal-mi’s journey ends. She chooses a new love, one rooted in honesty, consistency, and shared growth, rather than returning to someone from the past who never had the courage to speak when it mattered. That distinction is powerful. Love isn’t about who felt it first. It’s about who shows up, takes risks, and moves forward instead of staying trapped in what could have been.

The drama makes it clear that holding onto the past, no matter how emotional or romanticized, is still a choice. And sometimes it’s a choice that keeps you stuck. Start-Up rewards bravery. Not just in business, but in love.

Beyond the romance, the series shines in its portrayal of ambition, mentorship, and failure. Success is earned through persistence, not nostalgia. Dreams are built by those willing to act, not just remember.

🌟 10/10 for emotional maturity, a bold romantic choice, and a story that reminds us that the future belongs to those brave enough to claim it.

Love, Life, and the Courage to Choose Yourself

This drama doesn’t rush romance. It asks what it’s for.

Because This Is My First Life is quietly profound, peeling back the expectations placed on love, marriage, and adulthood with honesty and care. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt behind, unsure, or pressured to live life according to a script that never quite fit.

Ji-ho and Se-hee’s relationship begins as an arrangement but slowly transforms into something deeply intentional. Their love grows through conversations, silences, and shared space rather than dramatic declarations. It’s awkward, cautious, and beautifully real. The drama understands that intimacy isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s choosing to stay and learn someone, one day at a time.

What elevates the series is its broader lens. The stories of friendship, career struggles, gender roles, and societal pressure are just as compelling as the central romance. Each character represents a different way of navigating adulthood, reminding us there’s no single right timeline or definition of success.

The writing is thoughtful, reflective, and often disarmingly honest. It doesn’t offer easy answers, but it offers reassurance. That it’s okay to start late. To start over. To live imperfectly.

🌱 10/10 for emotional intelligence, quiet courage, and a drama that feels like a companion during moments of self-doubt and becoming.

Chaos, Courage, and a Body-Swap Done Right

This drama is fearless, ridiculous, and unexpectedly profound.

Mr. Queen takes a wild premise and commits to it with absolute confidence. A modern-day chef trapped in a Joseon queen’s body sounds like pure chaos, and it is. But beneath the outrageous comedy is a smart, layered story about identity, power, and survival in a rigid world.

The brilliance lies in balance. The humor is bold and physical, yet never lazy. Comedy gives way to political intrigue, emotional depth, and moments of genuine tenderness without tonal whiplash. What starts as satire gradually transforms into a story with real stakes and heart.

The central performance is nothing short of extraordinary. Every gesture, line delivery, and emotional shift sells the body-swap illusion completely. The romance evolves in surprising ways, built on respect, partnership, and growth rather than instant attraction.

Visually rich and sharply written, Mr. Queen proves that a drama can be outrageous and meaningful at the same time. It challenges gender norms, authority, and tradition while never losing its sense of fun.

🔥 10/10 for fearless storytelling, iconic humor, and a historical drama that rewrote the rules and made it look effortless.
