Black, no sugar
What would I give for this exact drama with a better actress (and some budget). Yang Shu Yu is the epitome of the apathetic "Go girl, give us nothing" actress, a total woodblock, and poor Chen Si has to act around her and sell the romance alone while she just smiles awkwardly. She is pretty and has some "heroïne aura" but she's way too wooden, and isn't helped by frumpy clothes and messy hair. It's a real shame because this is one of the most interesting and thrilling take on the "Captive from the Mob Boss" plot I've seen. Chen Si's character just straight up force-buys the heroïne off the hostess bar she has fallen into (classic Cinderella who has to pay her mom's hospital bills scenario) and tries to make her his canary but his plan fails spectacularly. I love the writing, the drama is quite long but has no fillers, strong pacing, didn't slouch on its conflicts' climaxes and resolutions, and got rid of some tropes I can't stand (loved what they did with the aggravating last-minute separation to study abroad for example !). The twist is that our Cindy is caught in a Love to Kill-like plot where her ex's brother is trying to date and torture her to avenge him, so Chen Si feels like the better option, until another twist (I was not the biggest fan of the last reveal at the end but it did provide some closure). As I said, Chen Si is carrying the drama, with his usual mesmerizing looks and intensity, and he sells it so well his moody, obsessed ML becomes truly endearing. The scene where he's back is epic and on the level of the "Baby it's been 5 years, did you miss me ?" ZZD scene in Desires. I'm desperate for a version of this with an actress with bite like a Meng Na or a Zuo Yi...Was this review helpful to you?
Time-Travel Story About Family and Choice
Twinkling Watermelon (2023) blends coming of age, time travel, and romance in a way that feels heartfelt rather than flashy. At its core is a CODA storyline that explores the tension between personal dreams and family responsibility, layered with the familiar grandfather paradox. The romance is not linear, which makes it feel more natural and emotionally grounded. What stands out most are the characters. They are easy to care about and thoughtfully written. I did spoil myself slightly by checking the cast list on Wikipedia, but it did not affect my enjoyment since the series does not rely on shocking twists.
As someone who enjoys time travel stories, I appreciated the ambition behind the narrative, even if it did not fully reach its potential. The ending feels like it needed more time to breathe. A longer run, perhaps twenty episodes, might have helped resolve some loose ends. Still, not everything needs a clear explanation. Much like Goblin (2016), some elements are simply meant to exist as magic.
In the end, Twinkling Watermelon lingers not because of its plot mechanics, but because of its themes. It reflects on why we live, family and parent child relationships, and the quiet reminder that choosing kindness always matters.

A Blind Girl Mistook Her Husband for a Rough Man

It's weird to ask for a shorter vertical drama since they are already meant to be short and light but I would prefer if they just cut the whole office part and stopped at when everything is solved and all is good.
If they wanted to add some more screen time, maybe they should have focused more on the rivals part, and them being jealous of other people, add some romance to it.
But it's more like they wanted to add side stories to it when it's not really needed which made the overall drama redundant and boring
I've seen much better vertical dramas with better chemistry and story, so I would not recommend this one ~

IN MY OPINION
For me, this drama stands out as an exceptional piece of storytelling, providing a captivating experience that perfectly complements the conclusion of our year alongside another gem "Shine On Me." The quality of the acting is nothing short of remarkable it evokes a strong emotional response that is incredibly satisfying to witness. The cast has managed to embody their characters so fully that their performances go beyond mere acting it feels as if they are genuinely living and breathing the complex emotions of love, pain, longing, happiness, and sadness. You can see these sentiments reflected vividly in their eyes making it a truly immersive experience. However, while this drama is undeniably great I felt that the pacing between episodes 21 and 25 was somewhat rushed. During this segment, certain narrative details seemed to be present merely for the sake of filling the time, lacking the weight and significance that they could have carried. This left me with a sense of emptiness, as if the writers could have devoted more attention to the smaller nuances that would have enriched the story. The original soundtrack (OST) is absolutely phenomenal I find myself listening to it daily, as the melodies linger in my mind haunting and wonderful all the same. As both a drama and music enthusiast, I place a high value on a good OST, and this one truly stands out as one of the best I've encountered.
My journey with Esther Yu began back in 2019 or 2020, I believe, when I became introduced to her through my affection for Lisa. Over time Esther has shown remarkable growth and resilience, particularly in facing criticism regarding her speaking style and performance. Admittedly, I was part of the initial wave of negativity directed at her but as I started to explore her work in different dramas and witness her immense talent in singing and dancing I came to recognize just how far she has come. Today, I can confidently say she is a gifted actress and singer deserving of all the applause she receives. Similarly, I’ve had the pleasure of watching He Yu in various dramas, where he typically played supporting roles, and it brings me great joy to see him gaining recognition for his work. He is indeed a fantastic actor and while many others could fulfill his character's role his portrayal feels distinctly unique and resonant. It’s as though he completely embodies Jin Zhao and Jin Zhao embodies him.
One thing I truly appreciate about this drama is that it allows not only the lead actors but also the supporting talents to shine brightly. Their performances did not fall flat instead, they demonstrated their utmost potential, contributing significantly to the overall quality of the production.
I wholeheartedly recommend this drama! It is simply that good, and I believe many viewers will find it just as delightful as I have.

My new favourite cdrama
I was SO in love with Hidden Love that I thought no cdrama could ever beat it but this one did it. The turns and twists, the learnings, understanding that time is necessary, healing. This is a life lesson. From all the dramas I've watched, this is the second I had to comment. Simply perfect. I honestly thought no man could beat Duan Jiaxu, but welcome to my heart Jin Zhao. Hope God blesses me with a man like this soon. Besides, what a HANDSOME MAN! Didn't liked chinese but they made me love it.Was this review helpful to you?

The most boring action-drama I have ever watched!!!
I had really high expectations for this drama but it was a HUGE disappointment… The trailer was promising and the cast looked phenomenal! Lacked in story-writing and character development especially, but there were more flaws as well.Reasons why I didn’t like it:
1. A lot of things didn’t make sense or were hard to follow. For example, why did his father have to give him the superpower??? Like what would happen if he died without giving it to his son??? It was so unclear! The explanations in general were so sloppy and the motives behind the characters were not properlt explained. Also, what’s the deal with Jo Anna and Nathan? Why do they want these superpowers??? Whats their reason or motive to be so strong??? Did sth happen to them in their childhood??? Like for example Strong Girl Namsoon had an amazing villain (played by Byeon Woo Seok) who had a crazy, traumatic childhood. So the motive of his actions of trying to get that superpower is clear. But WHATTTT is the reason for the villains of this drama???? Why do they want that superpower so badly???? I just couldn’t understand and was sooo annoyed!!!!
2. Explosions, explosions, explosions! This drama thought it could be make up for the lacking storytelling by blowing up stuff constantly. It was literally trying to be like one of those American superhero movies. It definitely felt like one! We need Netflix to stop ruining K-Drama by trying to Americanize them…
3. Flat characters! Although I liked Sung-Un and Bun-mi (and the fire girl too), I just couldn’t properly connect to any of the characters. We barely got to know them on a deeper level and there was basically no character development either. Everything just stayed the same with the exceptions of a few explosions here and there…
Other things that didn’t make sense or bothered me:
- Episode 2 when there are the explosions inside the wedding hall and ML saves his girlfriend and then they just stand there and talk and he gets scolded by her for wasting money again 🙄🙄🙄 LIKE WTF ARE YOU DOING???? Get out there! All I could do is roll my eyes!!! I was SOOO ANNOYED!!!!
- In episode 4 or 5 when Sang-un is trying to get into Beomha ranch and then the two othet friends, Bun-mi and the attorney are trying to stop him… I just didnt understand the whole sideplot thing with the selling your superpowers. Did the alcoholic attorney try to deceive them??? Was it on purpose the note he wrote on the documents? What exactly happened? Why were Bun-mi and Sang-un mad at him and What made them forgive him???? I did not understand anything at all! Not understanding these made me feel so frustrated!!!!
- When Sang-un and Attorney are running away from the lab and ML drops the bag and it get stuck under the sliding wall and instead of focusing on the bag he ANSWERS HIS FCKING PHONEEEE!!!!! 😩😩😩😩 Uggghhhh!!!! I was sooo annoyeddddd at him and Min-Suk!!!! I also didn’t like her at all!!!! She was SO ANNOYING!!!!! 😫😫😫
- When they find out the police officer’s superpower is timetravel and when Min-Suk goes to the police station to ask him to turn back time and save ML, and the police officer just HANDS HER his watch???!?!??!!! IS THAT EVEN A SUPERPOWER????? It’s literally Hermione’s Timeturner!!! And it’s not HIM who has the superpowet but HIS WATCH which in that case it is a magical object that ANYONE can use???? Omg I was faceslapping myself!!! This was so bad!!!! Who tf wrote this???? I swear I could have done a better job!!!
-And then the last scene! Nathan turned into a supervillain and killed the labgirl and all the lab workers. Hmmm? I wonder who is gonna insert Sang-un’s superpowers into him??? 🤔🤔🤔 Again a very nonsensical, annoying scene with actions that made absolutely no sense to the plot moving on.
-The last fighting scene was so cliche too!!! Everyone throwing theit money for him… Awww! I am sooo touched!!!! Omg seriously! I neithet laughed nor cried while watching this drama! I was also not on the edge of my seat… it was just annoying and ridiculous!!!
Other than the amazing cast of actors there was nothing positive to say about this drama… Just don’t watch it!!!

Watch this for MDL challenge. Let’s discuss movies…Have you ever lived with an incurable disease—one that makes you feel trapped and hopeless at the same time? This is the story of Ling Min (LM) and Lü Tu (LT).
Ling Min is a young woman suffering from end-stage kidney failure—uremia. She needs a transplant to survive. But with no matching donor in sight & time is running out.
Driven by desperation, she records a video proposing a “marriage deal”: she will marry and take care of a terminal patient’s family in exchange for receiving their kidney after they pass away. At first, she hesitates and doesn’t post the video.
But in a moment of despair, LM finally sends it to a group chat. Almost immediately, she regrets it and deletes the message—unaware that someone has already seen it. That someone is Lü Tu, a quirky and eccentric young man. LT seeks her out—not to judge, but to say: “I’ll take your deal.”
LM later meets LT to explain that the video was never meant seriously and that she doesn’t want marriage. However, for reasons of his own, LT keeps following her and insists on keeping the “deal” on the table.
At first, LM finds LT’s overly cheerful, carefree, and slightly strange personality annoying. But LT never leaves her side, no matter how difficult things become. So, slowly… something shifts.
Eventually, LT reveals that he has a terminal illness—a recurring brain tumor. Believing his condition to be hopeless, his reason for responding to LM’s video was simple: he wants to make sure his mother is taken care of after he’s gone. That’s why he answered her video.
As their bond deepens, LM discovers that LT is hiding something—something he hasn’t even told his own mother. A secret tied to his illness.
So now the question…
? Will LT and LM end up together—not just because of a deal, but because they truly love each other…
? What is the truth that LT is hiding about his condition…
? And in the end, will LM receive the kidney she needs to survive—whether from LT or from someone else…
That's pretty much the story without giving the spoiler. This movie gives us the check in reality for people who wait for help for their incurable disease. Quite worth watching…

It just simply good
I began watching Love on the Turquoise Land primarily for Dilraba Dilmurat (Nie Jiluo), and she did not disappoint. Despite the drama’s long runtime and complex narrative, it delivers a visually striking fantasy experience supported by strong performances and emotional depth. The story is immediately intriguing, though it can be challenging to fully grasp at first. While the premise is compelling, the world-building is not always clearly explained. As a fan of fantasy fiction, I was able to follow the general direction of the plot, but certain concepts required extra effort to understand. The drama revolves around an alien race known as Earth Fiends, beings who attempt to live among humans, while a group of hunters has been pursuing and eliminating them since ancient times.
As the story progresses, I found myself increasingly drawn to the Earth Fiends’ perspective. At their core, they simply want to blend into the human world and become human themselves. While their methods are undeniably wrong and morally questionable, their longing feels deeply human. This emotional pull makes their storyline surprisingly compelling and, at times, more engaging than that of the hunters.
One Earth Fiend in particular—Feng Mi (or Feng Dan)—left a strong impression on me. As someone who harbors feelings for Yan Tuo, she appears to genuinely desire humanity, not merely in form but in emotion. Her efforts to understand love, care, and sacrifice feel sincere, and in many ways, she seems to be the only Earth Fiend who truly becomes human in spirit. The way she cares for Yan Tuo, without calculation or self-interest, evokes sympathy and tenderness. Her fate is especially tragic, as she ultimately continues to protect Yan Tuo even in the end, making her one of the most emotionally resonant characters in the drama.
One of the most unsettling yet powerful elements of the story lies in the relationships within the Earth Fiend community itself. Lin Xiran, their leader, adopts two children whose lives unfold in stark contrast. She raises Yan Tuo to become a refined, wealthy, and principled gentleman, providing him with everything associated with an ideal human upbringing. In contrast, Lin Ling, her adopted daughter, is subjected to excessive protection and constant surveillance, living more like a captive than a child.
The revelation that Lin Ling was raised solely as a blood source—a means for Lin Xiran to sustain her life and maintain a human form—is both shocking and disturbing. Even more unsettling is the implication that Lin Ling’s role extended to bearing a child to continue this cycle. These revelations add moral complexity and emotional weight to the narrative, making the Earth Fiends’ relationships feel deeper and more intimate than those of the hunters. Unfortunately, this contrast is not explored in sufficient depth, leaving several narrative gaps.
The drama suffers from noticeable plot holes, particularly regarding the origins and mechanisms behind the Earth Fiends’ ability to become human-like. These unanswered questions make certain moments confusing rather than mysterious, and clearer explanations would have significantly strengthened the storytelling.
Visually, however, Love on the Turquoise Land excels. The cinematography is consistently beautiful, featuring lush green landscapes, mountains, forests, caves, and expansive natural scenery. The CGI is well executed, and the action sequences are engaging and fluid. Dilraba is breathtaking throughout the series, delivering both emotional and combat scenes with confidence and charisma. This was also my first time watching Chen Xingxu, and he left a strong impression with his solid acting and commanding screen presence.
The ending, however, feels unresolved. It leaves viewers questioning its meaning and intent, creating a sense of emotional incompleteness that slightly diminishes the overall impact.
In conclusion, Love on the Turquoise Land is a visually impressive fantasy drama with strong performances and emotionally compelling characters. While its narrative would benefit from clearer world-building and a more conclusive ending, it remains an engaging watch. I would rate it a solid 8 out of 10, with the potential to score even higher had the story been more thoroughly developed.

MAJOR SPOILERS!! OVERALL THOUGHTS AS I WATCHED.
Overall, this was a good drama, but it didn't truly captivate my attention until the last 5 episodes. It was a good watch but I don't think it was exceptionaly. For some reason, I had a little bit of trouble following with all the time jumps and added future characters too. It felt like this drama was being a little bit too complex plot-wise.I do have to say though that this drama's visuals are insane. I'm talking about face cards, actors, actresses, and sets. It is just so "pretty." Holy though, there are so many different couples and pairings throughout this drama.
The biggest thing I took away is that I love to see the found family that occurs from all their troubles. The love and protection they try to have over everyone in the Mask Group just shows this. Till the very end, everyone was willing to give up everything to save the others and their loved ones. Bro, this drama is my first c-trauma I think. Everyone basically died, so I don't even know how to collect my thoughts.
Woah, this drama has all the actors/actresses in it. Shen Yue, Hou Minghao, Ding Yuxi, Zhai Xiaowen, Zhang Ruonan, Meng Ziyi. I'm telling you, the 1st minute of this drama, when Hou Minghao appeared, it gave me high hopes. Aww...the 100 eyed Demon Lord just wanted to give back to his loved ones. He sacrificed himself for the good cause.
"Appearance comes from the heart." That line is so true, even though Huaizhu didn't know who the leader of the Mask Group was, through his actions and caring personality, she will find him physically attractive as well. I thought the scene where Qin Lan was talking bad about Hong Ye was so funny, because all of Hong Ye's people knew his true identity as the Mask Group leader but Huaizhu and her sister didn't.
"There's people that come from humble origins, but keep every promise they make, and are always kind to everyone." Xiaowu's death actually broke me. And then Chu Jing's sacrifice of himself and his demon core to make it snow one more time for Xiaowu. Xiaowu's last words to Yang Yan and even telling her not to hate her horrible family just shows the kindness in his heart that was lost. He was loyal until the very end.
After watching episode 8, I do believe that Hong Ye is a good person and he does things out of the goodness of his heart, but he has to hide behind the identity of the leader of his clan. He does have a duty to fufill, but later in the drama, I'm sure that he will end up doing things to help others (demons and humans) instead of gaining benefits for his clan. It's just a matter of time and I think that's when Huaizhu will end up falling for him too.
Why were Huaizhu and Hong Ye literally playing a stripping/gambling game!? Hong Ye fell in love in the 1st episode and literally has not stopped. He's folding, head over heels for Huaizhu. Why did we literally get a kiss with Yitan and Zui before Huaizhu even started liking Hong Ye.
Aww...I really like the 2nd couple in this drama. Yitan saying "When it comes to my life and Zui's life being in danger, I choose hers without question." Their relationship progress is moving along a lot faster than the main leads.
Seeing all of their fates in episode 15 made me actually really sad. They all died trying to protect each other and the good in the world. If that ending is how the drama ends, I won't be able to handle it. (I couldn't handle it)
I also love ig you would consider them the 3rd couple (Cuiyu and Mu Mie).
Episode 16 and 17 are the ones where the show starts to pick up and get exciting for me.
“If we can’t live together, then let’s die together.” Hong Ye is willing to give up everything, even his life to get Huaizhu back. He literally pledged to give up his life with the umbrella of purity to make sure the demonic side comes out of Huaizhu. I loved that whole episode with the Masked Group all fighting together and Hong Ye giving up everything for Huaizhu in the end. And then she came back and that is when she started realizing the good in Hong Ye’s heart and the devotion he had. That whole scene was so harmonious. And the hug they shared after with Huaizhu finally opening up emotionally. The kiss they shared was beautiful as well on the bridge.
Red Eyes gave up her own life for Mu Mie, when she was the one he loved this whole time. "Dummy, thank you for being the proof of me being alive and being loved." That confessino by Mu Mie and Red Eyes was so beautiful, but then it ended in the next 5 minutes. They deserved more screentime together, but it was too late.
Why does white hair look better on like every cdrama ML ever!? Also, here's another couple that I like better than the main leads: Zhang Zheng and Qing Muyuan. There's so much history and emotional connection between the 2.
"Two shoulders can hold more than 1 persons. In the future, let's both share your burdens." Even though the main couple is kind of boring to me, I do gotta say, they are always supportive towards each other.
Why was I lowkey kind of sad and moved when they showed the scene of Jia Lan fading away after trying to save Lord Jiuhuo. And the kiss that Jia Lan and Lord Jiuhuo shared after was actually kind of emotionally tugging. Why was I actually sad when Lord Jiuhuo died and asked Huaizhu and Hong Ye to "set Jia Lan free" by killing the Black Fox? All he wanted was a chance with Jia Lan again...
The start of episode 31 had me with a very unsettling feeling. Everyone was planning for the future with each other and it was their last get together with everyone. Some people of the masked group already have families to go back to. The father in the masked group better get to go back to his daughter. Also, Quzhou and Qin Lan better get the time to make a big confession. Please, I don't have a good feeling about the ending.
NOOOO...the first one is down. Why did Zhang Zheng have to die like that? In the hands of his loved one, yet he still reassured Muyuan and said that he doesn't blame her at all. Muyuan better go on her villain arc after this bruh. I spoke too soon, she died like 2 minutes later and accomplished nothing. Hey, at least they're reunited in the afterlife.
Quzhou and Zizai's last scene together broke me though. The life exchanging talisman being put into work by Zizai. "Quzhou, you still go on and protect this world. I'll still protect you." Zizai once gave up his hand to save his brother and now he gave up his life to save his brother. I did not expect that at all.
Holy, they're dropping like flies. Yitan killing both Qiyue and Zui will haunt him for the rest of his life. Honestly, the guilt even if he survives this battle will destroy him. It won't matter that he was being controlled, it is better for his sanity that he die in this battle too. Qiyue's death hurts in a different way though, because his daughter will never get her dad back. The way he already had a whole family, but will never get to see them again. I have a bad feeling about Zui because her mask was shown dropping too. Everyone's mask who has dropped has died so far. Then, Zui getting stabbed directly in the heart by one of the only people that loves her: Yitan. I just know it is going to cause some tears, because Yitan has never protected and loved anybody as much as Zui. The way Zui still protected Yitan after he stabbed her just shows how deep their love goes. Wait, I'm actually kind of sad that most of their future was not able to be changed. Yitan having to still pull out his clarivoyant eye to stop the Black Fox from predicting their moves. The line that every person is saying to their loved ones: "I'm coming." Basically, telling them that both their lives ended, but at least they're together in the afterlife.
Hongye's scene where he had all of the masks of the fallen members of the Mask Group was UNNEEDED. That was like the 100th stab of my heart in the last 5 episodes of this drama. The guilt he must face and then they started replaying the death scenes, like stop please.
Hongye and Huaizhu's wedding was supposed to be the best night of their lives, but it was the most depressing and disappointing. Episode 35 was actually so depressing, with none of their hearts being in the marraige. Hongye is so far and deeply affected by the battle that happened that he has lost sight of who he is, even though he still knows and has that instinct to protect Huaizhu.
But...the start of Episode 36, we got that feeling of the old Huaizhu and Hongye. I loved the burst of energy Hongye got when Huaizhu told him she's pregnant. You could still feel the love in that hug they shared and their tears.
Ok, I know I said that the main couple was not my fav, but I cried the most when their story ended. When Huaizhu told Hongye the truth after childbirth and then her last wish of them replaying their first meeting with the mask and everything. WHY DO THE PRODUCERS ALWAYS REPLAY EACH COUPLE'S MOMENTS!? STOP DOING THIS TO ME. "At least the heavens let me meet you." STOPPPP!! That child will grow up being so powerful, but never having any memory of his mother. Everyone was robbed of a happy ending.

Mature love
This drama is not for everyone. It's for a more mature audience who understands love, loss and guilt, and self-imposed loneliness. I have been following Seo Hyun Jin through all her shows and her choice of dramas to act in have never failed me. She always chooses quality dramas, writers and directors, and this drama didn't disappoint. And of course, there is also a stalwart like Yoo Jae Myung and both of them portray a fantastic father-daughter team who learn to cope with each other's sense of guilt and loneliness. In terms of place compared to other mature love dramas with similar themes of lost love, I found this more watchable with better pacing.

Another decent classic short drama
I watch this for first time without know any actor names and few years I realized its Han Yu Tong. She always nailed for being strong female lead and there is no romance and only focused on revenge. All of supporting cast are nailed on their job especially the antagonist. The Ending is too cliffhanger, to bad there is no continuation of this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Lack of time makes chemistry was not well-shown but nice action stunt.
I watch this since i miss Xu Meng Yuan in short drama and the plot is carbon copy of Mr and Mr Smith. The action scene are quite great for Xu Meng Yuan and Zhang Ji Jun. For Zhang Ji Jun. Too bad the chemistry and back story was not well prepared-due lack of duration. The fake abs on Zhang Ji Jun was too obvious, you can't help and feel MUA want to use more bronze on his stomach. Was this review helpful to you?
Kim Tae Ri delivers a bone-chilling performance in this horror thriller
The K-drama scene has all the genres you can think of, even horror. The ones I watched in the past were mostly zombie-centered like Happiness and Train to Busan while others leaned more toward the rom-com side like Oh My Ghost and Hotel Del Luna. Ghosts and zombies do not pique my curiosity enough that’s why I don’t tend to watch them. But a horror thriller lead by a versatile, multifaceted actress like Kim Tae Ri will never not intrigue me.Revenant revolves around Gu San Yeong (Kim Tae Ri) getting possessed by a demon. Interestingly, Professor Yeom Hae-Sang (Oh Jung-Se) can see the demon which has possessed Gu San-Yeong. Together, they search for the truth behind mysterious death and the identity of the demon.
I was skeptical at first whether Kim Tae Ri can pull off a meek and self-loathing character in a thriller. But no doubt, Tae Ri is a stellar actress. Her dual performance gave me goosebumps and her eerily compelling acting deserves a daesang. She totally nailed the role of both a greedy ghost and a self-deprecating human.
Sometimes I get so lost staring at Kim Tae Ri's silky and smooth hair. Is this a Ryo CF? haha Jokes aside, the premise of this show is no different to other horror stories. One must uncover the name and story of the ghost to get rid of it. Revenant's plot anchors on the most common story arc for horror stories. The true pleasure in watching this is Kim Tae Ri's versatile and gripping performance.
The quiet but intense chemistry between Kim Tae Ri and Hong Kyung keeps me glued to the screen. I can’t get enough of their scenes together and I'm down bad for the both of them. Even when they're simply talking, electrifying sparks are in the air. Romance really hits different when it's just a sub-plot in thrillers.
Ultimately, the main point of the show goes to show how human greediness is scarier than ghosts who can do you no harm. It was an arduous and winding journey for the trio to solve the pieces of puzzle together. The only downside is that new characters are added in every episode, either to help or mislead them. The plot twist is nicely crafted. I get the sense that the writer established the mystery first and then built the entire story around it. Is this worth a rewatch? I’m having qualms about it. Tae Ri’s shoulder must have been sore for carrying this show alone. This is a nice watch, but it is still one of the typical thrillers.

Wacky n Cathartic
One of the wackiest concepts I ever seen in a kdrama lol. I was all for it, but lowkey weary about the approach. Will they take it too seriously? Will they beat you over the head with the on the nose financial crisis messaging?Turns out no, it's self aware from the very get, instantly loveable, and actually peppers in the message in a fun way.
I do think this suffers from the typical *not fully thought out* disease that korean stuff falls into more and more lately, stacking up the plot holes and stretching feasibility in exchange for all momentum, but in this case it kinda plays into the concept. Money itself becomes a character equally defined by its complete power and elusiveness.
From the way it wraps up though, I get the sense they wanna push for a second season here. A bunch of stuff is left open and that message is never taken full circle.
Alas. Binged over the course of a day. It's a good quick fix mood booster.

Stacked Cast But Flopped Hard
The show is only eight episodes long, yet halfway through, almost nothing meaningful has happened. It is frustrating to see such a stacked cast wasted on a story that fails to take advantage of their talent. The premise itself is interesting, but the execution falls apart almost immediately. What makes it even more baffling is that this is a Disney Plus series with several well known actors, yet the production feels as if the budget was exhausted within the first few episodes. The result is a project that looks and feels far below the level one would expect given the platform and the people involved. Was this review helpful to you?
