Sensual in the Most Non-Sexual Way Ever, OMG
I'm so glad I waited to binge this because this was everything and more to me. Punk's Triangle, the tale of a punk fashion student's love for AE the model, is strong in it's plot, and even stronger in it's tension.Let's Dive In.
The series kept me entertained in the best way possible. Not once was I watching and just utterly annoyed with anything. Each episode brought something new or carried another important step in our leads' connection and it's brilliant.
Sensuality. Look it up in the dictionary and this series will be its definition. I feel like it's very rare for me to come across a series that is pretty low-heat but the most non-sexual sensual tension I have ever witness. I probably watched that bathroom scene from episode 3 more times that I'm willing to admit. Enaga's way of instructing Chiaki is the hottest thing on the plant. The bathroom scene, the belly-button piercing scene, their first kiss. I mean just the way in which he looks at him, his soothing voice, his calm demeanor. Fucking sensational.
Yasunari (Enaga/AE) as an actor is just so freaking brilliant. If you told me that Enaga and AE were played by two different actors, I would believe you. I know hair and makeup and clothes play a huge role in changing someone's appearance (along with facial piercings), but it's so much more than that with this character. As AE, he's confident, he's bold with his posture, he's gorgeous and he knows it. As Enaga, he's more closed-in on himself, shy, quiet, completely opposite to his stage presence, even down to the way in which he walk. I know some people harp on the fact that Chiaki couldn't tell Enaga was AE, but to be fair, outside of their height, I deadass wouldn't be able to tell either. The costume department did not have to eat so hard, oh my god.
I don't usually hope for second seasons, but if the creators of this could give me more Enaga/Chiaki I will forever be grateful.
Ratings:
Story: 9/10 - It's short, but it's good. kept me engaged in all eight episodes (I literally finished this in a day). Loved the leads, loved the story.
Acting: 9.5/10 - Bravo, Fujibayashi Yasunari. Ryota (Chiaki) doesn't stand out as much only because of the brilliant work of his co-star, but he did good as well.
Music: 6/10 - didn't pay much attention to it, but I thought the theme song was nice.
Recommendation Value: 9/10 - I had originally thought this was going to be a darker series for some reason (idk why) but this is so cute and lighthearted with low-heat, so I hundred percent think everyone should watch. And don't think I'm not going to rave about how fucking ethereal Yasunari looks. Gave me fucking butterflies and shit like I'm some little school girl, holy fuck. Watch for him.

Exotic and Tense
Escape from the Trilateral Slopes is one of those rare C-dramas that actually feels fresh the moment you hit play. Instead of the usual xianxia sparkle or formula crime setups, it throws you straight into a chaotic, mix-and-match borderland where power, money, and survival all blur together. The fictional Golden Triangle setting is full of messy politics, shifting loyalties, and danger layered under temples, rituals, and everyday life. It has that “exotic but uneasy” vibe that immediately pulls you in. The cinematography and sound design add a lot: the jungle, the dusty towns, the blend of dialects, the unsettling calm before things go sideways. There’s a movie-like texture here that most dramas don’t even try for.The pacing dips a bit in the second half, and the show hints at deeper themes - morality, survival, cycles of crime - that it doesn’t fully commit to. But even with those nitpicks, it’s gripping from start to finish. No unnecessary romance arcs, no filler, just constant tension, moral grayness, and “how is he getting out of this one?” energy.
All in all, Escape from the Trilateral Slopes is bold, stylish, and genuinely addictive - a standout thriller that proves C-dramas can still surprise us.

No Love, No Crown, the Winner, Poison!
Ok, my mind has to get around this drama because I am SCREAMING! Not in a good way mind you. WTH did I just watch. And mind you it was 35, yes 35 episodes of my time, which I freely gave because I felt there would be a glimmer of hope at the end. But the joke was on me! No glimmer. Just darkness.First can we just stop, stop doing this to Allen Ren (Xian Huan/Bai Chi Fan) ok? The man has freaking died in almost every one of his dramas of late. What gives? Enough. We get it. We honestly do that the man is not, I repeat is not going to do ANY LOVE SCENES. But that does not mean the man has to be killed off every drama! For the love. Cut him some slack. Maybe don’t use love in his dramas and he possibly could survive, just sayin.
Then Peng Xiao Ran (Ling Cang Cang) did the writers despise her or what. What was her deal? Oh wait, she WAS the LOVE interest, or was she? We couldn’t tell because of her ATTITUDE of crying, endless drinking/drunken stupor, walking away, not listening and raging anger that she was on my last nerve and that was all of 5 or so episodes. Yep, most ditch this after 4 episodes because of all of that.
What really got me about Ling Cang Cang is her always believing the wrong person. Case in point, when her OWN, yes, I said own, father tried to KILL her with poison mind you poison was big in this drama she could not believe her father would do it. Even with proof presented to her she STILL didn’t believe Xiao Huan, who was her husband mind you at this point. I personally draw the line when someone would be trying to kill me. My own father at that. I’m taking door 1 and going with the man who tried to safe me, oh, I don’t know numerous times. What do you think?
Then we did sprinkle in OTHER romances that fizzled out and they died too.
- Xiao Ying (sister to Xiao Huan and Xiao Qian Qing) was the Poison Ivy of the era. She wanted to see Xiao Huan die because he didn't safe her when there was a fire in the palace. She had every poison known to man. And yes, she was out to get Xiao Huan. But it was Empress Dowager Liu (mama) who did set the fire. But needless to say, Xiao Ying died by poison by her mother, see she killed her anyway. Empress Dowager Liu died by poison by Du Ting Xin.
- Li Hong Qing (right hand to Xiao Huan) was in love with Xiao Ying but he was hit with an arrow and was MIA. Tried to find him but didn’t and Xiao Ying died before he could see her.
- Zhong Lin love interest to Xiao Qian Qing but both of them were poisoned too.
See where I went with that, everyone in this drama was poisoned. How they made it beyond 20 episodes because everyone was poisoned, I have no idea.
The only person who was just allowed to have free rein and just basically said, “I’m going to have a blast” was Du Ting Xin. The Imperial Preceptor. This chick was just off the rails. I mean, the WHOLE basis for these last episodes revolved around her wanting to be the emperor. Why? Because she found out that she was royalty and was part of the bloodline of Xiao. But wait, she read the stars, right? Why didn’t she read that she was royalty? Go confront Xiao Huan and move on. Nope, she just went buck wild and had a good time while everyone else in the drama were the side chicks.
As we drew closer to the end, everyone knew that death was imminent, but as I said in the beginning, we all had hope against hope that Xiao Huan would survive. But alas, that went out the window because Xiao Huan did it again. You got it. Gave Ling Cang Cang the ONLY pill that would save him to live. Sigh.
Now, get ready to really have your mind blown. Ling Cang Cang finds Xiao Huan because she makes Lin Hong Qing take her to him. She confronts him and tells him to stop running from her. Low and behold we cut to the next morning with only Ling Cang Cang in the bed. You got it. We are SUPPOSED to surmise (since we saw the sunrise of a new day) they slept together so we can explain why she is pregnant.
Fast forward five years and you see their son is Ning and he holds Ling Cang Cang because, you got it, she is going to die. Why? Because Du Ting Xin tortured her and she was slowly dying. (see how well the sacrifice of the pill that Xiao Huan gave her worked). So, you thought we were done with the grim reaper, nope. We have to have someone else die too, who do you think? Bet you didn't see it coming because we only knew when she spit up blood and that was.... Zhong Lin, her bestie. She died right after Ling Cang Cang did.
So, it was pretty much a bloodbath all around at the end. Oh, you want to know what happened to Du Ting Xin. She was allowed to live in the palace until her death. But here's my thing. No one could have just killed her at any given point. I mean so many opportunities and she lives. Go figure.
This drama did have potential, but the writers just didn't know where or how to go with it. So. sad. Exhausted. Annoyed. Because the best they did was to poison everyone which clearly was the winner!

A Soft Romance That Finds Beauty in the Everyday
Evergreen Love is a film that understands its own quiet power — it doesn’t aim for epic drama or cinematic fireworks. Instead, it builds its romance from the humblest of materials: shared meals, ordinary routines, and the small shifts that happen when two lonely people slowly let their guard down and learn what companionship feels like in its most ordinary form.Sayaka begins the film caught in a loop: a humdrum office job, convenience-store lunches, lonely nights. She’s polite but invisible — the kind of person who drifts through life rather than living it. When she stumbles upon Itsuki collapsed outside her apartment and brings him in, what follows isn’t a sweeping love story but a gradual shift in her world.
The change in Sayaka is subtle but meaningful. Itsuki doesn’t transform her — he gently wakes her up. She starts noticing things, questioning the rut she’s been stuck in, choosing instead of simply accepting. She becomes braver in small, essential ways: standing up for herself, trying new things, and reconsidering what she truly wants from her life.
Itsuki never sweeps her off her feet; instead, he naturally invites her to see the world differently — through herbs, home-cooked meals, quiet mornings, and the small beauties she used to rush past. His presence brings warmth, but the film never idolizes him. He’s mysterious and a little unanchored, yet honest.
The way the film threads botany, cooking, and simple domestic rituals into their growing connection gives the romance richness through simplicity. The wild plants they gather, the dinners they share — these moments become gentle markers of rediscovery. You don’t just watch them fall in love; you watch one of them learn to taste life again, and the other — quietly — learn what it means to belong. That grounding in everyday detail gives the film sincerity.
Some plot points do require a slight suspension of disbelief. Certain aspects of their cohabitation and the mid-point separation feel idealized. But for me, it fits the film’s soft aesthetic and the quiet, fairy-tale-adjacent tone it’s aiming for. What matters most is this: this film isn’t built for fans of big twists or high-stakes drama. It doesn’t chase intensity or tragedy. If you’re open to a romance without chaos, without villains, without emotional theatrics — just a story that shows the ordinary healing that comes from being truly seen — then this film is quietly gorgeous.
Evergreen Love is ultimately a portrait of two people meeting at exactly the right moment and nudging each other gently back toward themselves. It’s modest, warm, soft, and simple yet insightful. A lovely film.

Why it is total BS
I'll make this short because this really angered me:This show is absolute nonsense - why?
1. It's another flick of in slow motion torture porn going on forever and ever - who enjoys watching such sick stuff to such extent?
2. It is ab so lu te nonsense that the FL would look ANYthing like she is shown. In fact she would have been dead a hundred times after how her father is beating her to a bloody pulp. But let's for the sake of it imagine a very petite woman of probably 45kg soaking wet could survive such attacks, and several of them, where a VERY tall, strong man is kicking her into the stomach, groin, chest etc ( Did I mention that it is absolute bs she would survive this?)... so, if she would survive these attacks for some supernatural reasons, she would be scarred EVERYwhere, her face would be scarred up and down, she would have so many broken bones that she probably couldn't walk and stand upright without very lengthy rehab training, if ever at all again, and I laughed out loud after seeing the end of ep. 3, she is practically mushed potatoe in the end, and next scene in ep. 4 she is sitting in a hospital bed just with a little band aid in her still perfectly pretty face - seriously Ef off with this total nonsense!
These shows glamorize super crass violence and make it look like someone like this very tiny woman could just walk away from such attacks and plan any kind of ridiculious revenge while she would have been dead a hundred times. Are people so daft they don't even realise this simple fact? Does anyone know anything about basic physics, and basic knowledge of what a human body can take or not? I doubt the whole freaking mankind if I see something like this receives 8.4 here, absolutely hilarious.
3. Did I say this is bs already? Well, and on top it is a total insult to EVERY real victim of severe domestic violence, and people supporf this and rate it with 9.0 or 10.0.

" A married daughter is like water that's poured out"
Director Tsou Shih Ching created a chaotic yet charming film using an iPhone and some of her own memories. Three generations of women working to support their families reveal archaic beliefs about gender and superstitions about left-handedness.Cheng Shu Fen with her daughters I Ann and I Jing move from the countryside to Taipei where Shu Fen sets up a noodle shop stall in the busy night market. Their apartment is crowded and the market noisy. While Shu Fen works the noodle shop, high school dropout I Ann chooses employment at a betel nut and smoke stand. I Jing goes to grade school and helps her mom afterwards, making friends throughout the market. When Shu Fen becomes saddled with debt connected to her ex-husband, her business hangs in the balance. Born without a Y chromosome, her family refuses to lend her money as they would have if she had been a son. Shu Fen’s father refuses to let I Jing use her left hand around him saying it is evil and the Devil’s hand. The old superstition leads to some curious consequences. I Ann begins a relationship that leads to its own consequences.
At the beginning it was difficult to tell if the little family actually cared about each other. Much of the film was shown through I Jing’s innocent eyes or I Ann’s jaded ones. Young Nina Yeh as I Jing gave a wonderful performance for one so young. I Jing struggled with her grandfather’s order to comply and conform to his societal view on left-handedness. She was the sunshine in the dark alley of their lives. Ma Shih Yuan’s I Ann was a tough nut to crack, always cloaked in a hard shell. Yet there were scenes where her vulnerability broke through revealing the caring, loyal young woman beneath. Ever exhausted physically and emotionally, Janel Tsai showed how Shu Fen had her own unmet needs. Each of the three longed for acceptance, affection, and attention, never daring to speak their inner desires. All three exhibited tenacity and independence often clandestinely supporting each other. One of the more touching and relatable scenes in the film took place with I Ann and I Jing traversing the market lacking any words of affection but overflowing with poignant emotions.
Left-Handed Girl followed Shu Fen and her family as they faced opportunities and set-backs in the chaotic, busy streets of the night market. Starting over is never easy when gender obligations and limits rear their ugly heads. All told, four generations of women had their own secrets that culminated in a catharsis that led to the truth, forgiveness, healing, and reconciliation. Everything you could want from a spunky family drama of women looking for a better life.

My Comfort Show ??
It’s honestly hard to explain for how long I’ve loved Hello, My Twenties… I watched it in my early twenties and Season 1 still has its own corner in my heart. Back then I desperately wanted to live on my own, have roommates, have that little messy freedom. And somehow… life actually gave me all of that.I liked that I related to pieces of every character in small doses. I mean..it's a drama so some parts are unrealistic or stretched out, but I truly enjoyed every single moment. When life gets heavy and I don’t feel like starting something new, I go right back to this drama and I feel myself resetting again.
I still don’t know what makes it so special. Maybe because in school I was totally the Eun-jae in my friend group (quiet, awkward, unsure), later...once I got comfortable, I became more like Ji-won… loud, goofy, chaotic in the best way. I’ve also had phases where I worked two jobs and studied so much that life turned numb and robotic, and Jin-myung’s whole storyline felt a little too real. Dark times! Ugh... Sometimes I judge people too quickly like Ye-eun… and sometimes I get judged like Kang Yi-na without even realizing it until afterwards.
And Ye-eun’s relationship arc… :( yeah, that one hit hard. Being stuck in a toxic relationship and not realizing how pathetic you’re acting because you’re scared of being alone… scared you’re asking for too much… waiting for them to magically change… not understanding that real love isn’t supposed to feel like that. I’ve lived that. So I could never call her story unrealistic, even if it hurt to watch. I wanted to punch that guy in the face so many times!!!
The drama definitely has flaws, I won’t deny that. But it somehow passed the test of time for me. It still feels warm and familiar every time I go back to it, like opening an old diary or photo album lol. idk. I can’t explain it properly… but I don’t get bored of it. Not yet at least. ;)

Time loop dealt in detail
I binged it for past few days and I really liked it. The time loop stuff is dealt in a very detailed manner here unlike other such time loop dramas. Like every possibility is explored and every outcome is shown to us in different loops. Makes you think a lot. It was a very interesting watch.Only thing which was a negative point for me is that they made the FL have a saviour complex asusual! Like I don't mind her wanting to save others but always putting the ML and herself in harms way for saving others just didn't sit right with me in few loops. But either way like they say alls well that ends well, so in the big scheme of things I guess it's all ok.
Acting was really good. Leads especially ML was very good. But the star of the show is the main villain .... SPOILER ALERT....
..
...
....
.......
The lady was just fantastic! My God her acting gave me goosebumps, so crazy (literally) good!
Anyway the whole bus scene made me realise that cheap dirty perverts roam in buses in all countries and do the same dirty things everywhere! Ughh...
Another thing that this show made me realise is that it is really scary to go and report some crime to the police! My God the way they were interrogated gave me heebiejeebies! It felt so real and scary!
Anyway, a really good show! If you love scifi time loop stuff, definitely give it a go!

Truly something special
I loved everything about this story, cause it hit home. It demonstrates the resilience and commitment Koreans had to rise above the IMF, people lost so many things back then but they still managed to survive through hope and optimism. It’s shows aspects of what loosing a breadwinner is like and the struggle of trying to fill shoes worn by legends. I personally wouldn’t rewatch because it made me cry by reliving my father’s death and the struggle that came with it but I truly loved everything about it. Junho once again showed his true skills and I congratulate him on all his achievements and successes because truly he deserves it. His hard work and dedication to Taepoong is remarkable. Minha’s performance was outstanding, she deserves more recognition and appreciation because she embodies her character so much it’s amazing to see. Overall I loved this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Give it a try
It's more character driven than plot driven. The acting is superb and you end up caring so much about each character, suffering with their los losses and celebrating their victorias.Nothing ever goes as planned, like life itself.
Jun Ho and Min Ho deserve all the awards, amazing chemistry.
The production did an unbelievable job with the props and the late 90's setting.
OST catching as hell, Updraft and Did you see the rainbow will be forever in my mind.
Overall, best drama (for me) of 2025

From bad, to interesting, to horrible
This show started off lame, but I kept going because I quite liked the male lead. the misunderstandings from the get-go were extremely annoying. The ML could have communicated better to the female lead, but he chose to be hated for no reason instead, finally about halfway through the series, the misunderstandings got cleared up. Yet they still showed us no love scenes between the leads and suddenly the female lead was pregnant, I didn't even know they had gotten back together. I read that he doesn't do any intimate scenes because he's married in real life. And while I do respect that he should be playing in other Category dramas if that is the case. it got interesting toward the middle of the show but then it slowly went downhill. It was extremely rushed towards the end and nothing made sense. I thought they were going to bring the sister back to life But apparently they did not, and not only did the guy die at the end, but the girl died too. And that is acceptable on a show that was extremely well written, for instance, "a journey to love" But on this show, JUST NO. They had so many chances to kill the bad lady but they did not ...nothing made sense towards the end of the show. It was just a dumpster fire, and the fact that they killed off her friend as well at the end for no reason was just ridiculous. The only good thing was that they made the female lead prego so at least she had a child with a man that she loved and they left him in the world but other than that, it was just a ridiculous ending, and all of the magical aspects of the show were just ridiculous, and made no sense. DO NOT RECOMMEND!Was this review helpful to you?
Mob boss trope done right
So nowadays I am finding these super short c dramas more interesting than long dramas airing these days in all languages. This is one such interesting drama.Basically it's about a lady's revenge, the details can be read in the MDL summary but what is the actual interesting part of it is its different Mob boss romance trope combined with enemies to lovers trope! Meaning you have a powerful mob boss who is charmingly in love with his so called wife, which is a common trope but in almost all such dramas, the FL are just pretty flowerpots, but not here! Here the FL is emotionally strong, has her own mind, schemes and plots her revenge, which makes it different and interesting.
Acting and chemistry both are good too.
I didn't like all the knife poking and slapping stuff they do to each other but since it's overall good, I am going to overlook it. Story is also not very logical and all but for 15 mins if we rest our logical mind, it's a fun watch.

Would love to rewatch it.
Loved Blood River from start to finish. I love how the story began and unfolded to the very end. It was pleasing, at times bittersweet. The perfect portrayal of such complex characters, who can be described as morally grey I guess , is very difficult to achieve but it was done so beautifully, couldn't have picked better actors for both Su Muyu and Su Changhe. They really embodied the roles.I love the balance of themes and genres in Blood River, there was romance though it was tragic in some ways, but it didn't overpower the theme of friendship, brotherhood, family, justice, and I love that because it happens a lot in dramas, romance takes over and the plot and characters get lost in it. It's not like that in Blood River, the main focus is always clear. There were minor gaps in the story but these did not take away from the drama, the story flowed really well and kep you wanting to watch more.
As someone who struggles to actually complete a drama, because I become bored very easily and have a low attention span, I really enjoyed this show and was excited to click next episode until the end. The character portrayals were captivating and the story was interesting and enjoyable. I would love to rewatch it in a few months. I'd say this is my number one drama of 2025. Highly recommend it.
