Any Romance?

the whole show was good but as a hopless romantic I thought there was some spark between the boss and the attorney even if they didn't date at the end. But I love the second lead couple (they were so cute and the proposal was so cute even if some might say it was rushed but I loved it) and I think there will be a season 2
I also really loved the reunion between the mother and her daughter, it was heartbreaking but very lovely.
I recommend people who love law (cuz they really put all the effort on the law facts and cases were amazing)and abit of romance...

Intelligent main lead

I thought this was a solid drama, but there was a lot of people being very dramatic and crying and pretending/actually fainting. I also thought the main female lead was a bit too magnanimous at times. I didn't love how the relationship progressed at times. Overall, I enjoyed the drama and really enjoyed having an intelligent female lead. Not to spoil anything, but there were some times where something happening and I could see it a mile away, so it wasn't as impactful as it could have been. There was just too foreshadowing.

There was a lot of crying in this series. I think people cried at least 2x an episode and it did lessen the impact of sad scenes sometimes. I still binged the series in a week, but think it had areas of improvement. Overall, it was a pretty high production quality as well, so I enjoyed that.

It had it's moments

Disclaimer

What I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.

So, I can safely say that there were some parts of this series that I totally enjoyed and some parts that I didn't (as well as some parts that just did not sit well with me). I would first like to say that I totally adore Jun Xi's parents. They are the best parents that I have seen for a long while in a Taiwan series. I am so grateful that they went that route for Jun Xi's parents and him with his sexuality. I also adore (even though it was not much shown but hinted at the end) the beginning of the cute relationship between Lin Xiao Yang and He You Mei.

The relationship between the main leads was cute, but it did leave me scratching my head sometimes, as we the viewers see the extent that Han Tuo went to so that no one would get close to Jun Xi and date him, as he had feelings for him. But if Jun Xi is able to get over that little red flag behaviour, who are we, the viewers, to complain about it?

Now, I felt that the flow of this series was actually okay, even up to a part in the last episode. But after that, with them basically trying to close up all loose ends (some that I didn't even know were loose as well), it felt a bit lost in transition, as these characters were not developed properly and just had me either meh or confused by it (like am I the only one who did not see that Han Tuo's boss liked him?! Because that was just so left field for me.

But, all in all, I did enjoy this series, and it did have its moments. I would recommend this to people who just want a quick series to watch.

Epic

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with The Double. This drama had me so hooked that I finished all 40 episodes in just two days—without a wink of sleep 😩. That’s how engaging it was! The side characters absolutely held their own and did an amazing job 👌🏿👏🏿. But the main leads? Good lord 😳—they carried the entire drama on their shoulders. The chemistry, the emotions, the playful flirting, the wit… everything about their dynamic was perfection. They embodied their roles so well that I couldn’t look away. Now, all I want is to see them together again, whether in a costume drama or a modern one—I don’t even care. They’re just that amazing as a pair.

Sooo Romantic!!❤️

This has to be one of the most romantic cdrama 😍❤️ I have watched in a long long time!

The chemistry between Ting Yan and Sima Jiao is amazing! And the kisses! WOW! Really nice sensual kisses and not the usual dead fish lip kisses!

This drama was a good one, with a nice ending, although the modern world ending was a bit rushed, atleast we SAW their faces in one frame and watched the scene unfold where they see each other again for 4th time. Not like another drama *cough LGIEF* where we never got to see their faces lol and just heard a random voice instead

I wish we got more screentime for the second leads as well, but nevermind. I'm happy with what we got.

Through all their lifetimes, their souls will find each other 😍😍 the Romance in the drama is the MVP!

"See you after the victory!"

I often enjoy Ann Hui’s meditative style and Our Time Will Come was no exception. In this film her quiet introspection was focused on Hong Kong’s resistance movement in 1942 during the Japanese occupation.

Fong Lan (aka Fong Lam aka Fang Gu) lives with her mother. They have rented a room to a writer and his wife who have mentioned they will be moving out soon. What they don’t know is that Mao Dun (aka Mr. Shen) is working with the resistance to safely leave Hong Kong with other hunted intellectuals. Fong is called upon to help the Maos when their plans are disrupted. Blackie Lau (aka Liu Hei Zai) recruits her for their Urban Unit afterwards and soon Fong is delivering messages and printing flyers. Blackie Lau heads up the Firearms unit taking on dangerous and deadly missions. Fong’s ex-boyfriend works undercover at the Japanese surveillance office for General Yamaguchi. All three plus Fong’s mother do their part to hamper the Japanese wherever and whenever they can.

While the film did show the three-pronged attack on the Japanese, intelligence acquisition, guerilla attacks, and information sharing, much of the film centered on Fong Lan and her mother. Despite living in an occupied city filled with danger, especially for women, life went on. What little food they could grow or access had to be prepared and eaten, people still married, and when possible, people continued their businesses to earn a living. I could have watched the film with just these two women playing off of each other.

OTWC’s cast was loaded with quality actors. Deanie Ip gave a lovely and understated performance as Fong Lan’s mother. Mother Fong worried for her daughter, assisted where she could, reacted fairly nonplussed when stumbling upon a body, and stood tall in the face of death. Zhou Xun’s Fong Lan grew from a bunny loving young woman to one who courted death daily as a member of the resistance. Eddie Peng was at his charismatic best as Blackie Lau providing the film with a few lighthearted moments. Wallace Huo’s Lee Gam Wing was as expected suave and cool as ice. Pau Hei Ching showed up briefly as Fong’s aunt at a wedding with a rationed budget and one where the silverware was counted when the guests left.

Our Time Will Come was a well-crafted film. The cinematography was lush and saturated, the framing and composition of shots-gorgeous. Recently I watched a film that looked like it had been shot on a cell phone while riding in the back of a truck on a gravel road making this film’s quality seem even finer. Stories of the different cells and characters unfolded slowly though all were interwoven in mission and sentiment. True to war, the fighters had successes and failures, lives were saved and lost. Films such as this can overly rely on in-your-face patriotism and heavy melodrama. Hui managed to avoid these tropes while also showing people working together from the young to the old, women and men alike, to protect their home and neighbors from the horror all around them. OTWC was not filled with fingernail biting suspense or heart pounding action yet it was compelling all the same.

"The wind which carried the rays of the setting sun has died down. It's as if it melted away...Night's black curtain is falling, but glimmers of light remain..."

A first class example of the BL genre within the Chinese history costume drama category.

The sad, fateful unhappy endings of so many early gay films or series, which once upon a time seemed almost to be a requirement, that gay people do not deserve long, happy lives, makes a grand re-appearance in “Kill To Love” but in a manner that works and makes sense for the characters and the historic times they lived.

This Singaporean effort at a sweeping Chinese costume drama of rival princes and hostile neighbouring kingdoms in medieval China, within its limited budget, does well despite lacking the forces of extras in palace scenes or battle enactments that Chinese productions gloriate in. The key to this compensation is the casting: all of the principal actors inhabit their characters with conviction, and the two main leads with especial impact.

The lack of information in the notoriously difficult production environment of Chinese language BLs, created by Chinese creatives, starkly contrasts with the abundance of intermingling story lines, character interactions, and plot developments. While the novel on which the series is based has been described as both a buxia (martial arts) and a danmei (bl), the resulting drama, while compelling in its unfolding, resides ultimately in its own category, unique to Chinese storytelling.

It is equally admirable and intimidating that Chinese storytelling should be able to envelop so many prominent themes into an individual story.

Familiar to each other as young boys, the two main characters, Shu He and Si Ang, meet again by chance at a critical juncture in the history of their kingdoms (Nan Hui Kingdom and Ji Bei Kingdom). Their attraction to each other has to play out against the political forces and characters of their time; in the end, this environment, beyond their control, shapes their destiny. This may give the appearance of lives determined by fate, but the fascination behind “Kill To Love” (an awful title compared to the novel’s “The Mountains and Rivers Are Forever Silent”) is that it is in the characters of Shu He and Si Ang where the core emotional conflict and passion emerge, combust and consume.

In the first episode, we meet all the main players, and, in addition, the director and writer cleverly combine two different scenes of injury. Si Ang, who has been surprised in his assassination attempt of the Crown Prince, receives an arrow wound to his shoulder as he flees; immediately following, the young Crimson Shadow Guardsman Huo Ying is seen visibly distressed and in pain.

One would’ve thought that the young aspirants for admission into the Crimson Shadow Guard would have noticed something amiss about a military guard in which the members experienced ten years of poisoning, from which their loyalty was secured by receiving, as part of their pay package, so to speak, regular antidotes. But that’s not really the point (even though it very much plays into the action). Just as it's speculated that the poison is administered internally to the Guard members in their diet, the defining force in this drama - the need to love and be loved - is inside of Shu He and Si Ang, and can not be extinguished.

At their first meeting in this series, standing in the dark one behind the other where they cannot see each other's faces, Si Ang runs his hand around Shu He’s waist. The camera lingers on this moment for a reason: they recognise something about each other in this moment - Shu He responds passively to the touch of another man, and Si Ang understands Shu He’s response because Si Ang’s touch is innately sensual on the other man’s body. Once unleashed, the forces that bind each of them to another also become painful wounds.

The drama and its ensuing tension are well sustained from beginning to end by the talents of 24-year-old Mi Jin as Shu He and 25-year-old Zhang Zhe Xu as Zi Ang. Production values are good, even if budget constraints limit the famed aerial flying of the martial arts Zi Ang and/or the appearance of large military forces to only two scenes. Costumes and production design are first class; the makeup, from time to time, strangely, is out of kilter with the lighting. I mention this only because the camera work (camera & lighting are hand-in-glove) is excellent. The two-camera setups on some of the more emotionally intense scenes between Shu He and Zi Ang are particularly notable.

It’s Finished?

It ought to be against series creation rules to have endings like this. Literally, I assumed I hadn’t seen the final episode and went back to re-watch (I’m old so entitled to being forgetful ha). Unacceptable last episode with no apparent plans to continue the series. Disappointing to say the least.

Good to watch. New era of short drama

Overall plot is quite new in short drama. Ned to have time and rewatch for more understand.
Actor and actress is matched with chemistry.
It seem like they are real Yemu and Chixi.
The plot is quite concise, and the overall content is quite good. The content reflects real life stories. If you put yourself in the heroine's shoes, you will understand her thoughts and actions better. The actors' body language and eye contact communication are considered good. There are some shortcomings, but overall it is perfect.

It's Time For Me To Move On

It's time for me to let this series go and move on, I've been stuck on it for way too long hoping it would get better and waiting for me to get the motivation to watch it. For time stamps I started this series 4 months ago, watched episodes 1-5, then stopped and left it there for about a month, then watched episode 6, then got back to it and watched episode 7 to 10, 2 months later. And the last time I watched the last episode which was technically episode 9 because I didn't start episode 10, was 25 days ago. The beginning was ok, then I got a bit uninterested but after waiting a while and getting back to it I kind of got the spark to watch it again for a little, I seriously thought this would be the time I finished it and I just needed to wait it out, but I got stuck on episode 10 once again, I couldn't start it, I couldn't finish this series. And why? Because there isn't much to it anymore, and to be honest, there never was. This story is very messy, I already didn't like the fact that we got all the action in the first episode, I think a enemies to lover or strangers to lovers would've been good but everything basically got spoiled in the first episode, no room for tension, or yearning, or slow burn. Then the whole story, was just... not my cup of tea. Don't get me wrong I love the whole hitman criminal plots but this wasn't it and it wasn't executed well. The acting was good, ofc. But the characters were annoying, and I think that made the acting look worse than it actually is, these are all great actors but with the script and lines I'm sure it was hard to execute a well performance, regardless they ate it up. But it just didn't deliver. I am sadly disappointed, I really tried so hard to like this because I love First, Khao, Joong and Dunk. And they all have great chemistry, and great acting skills. But this just wasn't it at all. Idk what it is this year and last year with series that have well known actors being horrible, I was also disappointed with Love Sea and Kidnap. But older series are better, I think we need to take a step back, take notes, listen to what people actually like, and take action based on that. I see a lot of people liked this series, and I'm shocked, some didn't like it as well. I know every BL watcher has a different motive to watch series, but lets be honest about ratings and reviews, and don't just base it off chemistry and NC scenes, instead the actual story and how well it was made. I think a 7.5 is a generous rating on my part, I've seen people rate it lower. I can admire the good aspects of it thats why I wouldn't go lower, and I didn't hate it completely, there were good moments, but to say the least. It was disappointing. Hoping next year is a better year for the LGBTQ+ content industry, and I hope these actors get better series moving forward.

Legit Romcom!

Best romance comedy ever! I rarely watch romcom movie/series, but when I saw the video clip of this movie, I think this film is good and promising by the story and actors. So, I decided to watch this movie and YES!

Love Reset tells what kind of romance comedy genre is✨

This movie made me laugh and also I can feel the embarrassment when the characters did something strange lol. It was really fun to watch since I didn't need to think about the plot or something, just let the movie flow. The actors played their role so well! Yet, the ending of this movie wasn't clear enough. Did they divorced? Or did they still stay together? Did Na-ra go abroad? 🤔

So, I understand why most of audience can't give a perfect score for this movie. But for me, the open ending wasn't a big problem.

9,5/10 for "Love Reset"! 🌹

10/10. A true masterpiece. The best Thai BL I’ve ever watched. Emotional, healing, and addictive

I’ve watched over 400+ BLs across every country, including more than 115+ Thai BLs, and I can say this with my whole heart: this is the best Thai BL I have ever seen.
It’s not just a series; it’s cinematic poetry.

From the very first episode, Love in the Moonlight completely consumed me. Set in the 1960s, every frame feels like a living painting. The heritage houses, vintage cars, trains, clothing, lighting, and music all come together in a hauntingly beautiful symphony. The cinematography is breathtaking; it doesn’t just tell a story, it makes you feel every unspoken emotion.

✨ Peak as Prince Saenkaew gives a once-in-a-lifetime performance. His portrayal of a young man crushed by family duty and unhealed trauma is so raw, so human, that it leaves you shattered.
When he cried after being forced to marry for the sake of his family’s wealth, I cried too. His trembling lips and quiet tears show the weight of a lifetime of pain. It’s acting beyond words.

💫 Pear as Sasin is pure magic. Calm, strong, and endlessly tender, he’s the light that pierces through Prince’s darkness. Their chemistry is off the charts. Every glance, every breath between them carries love, longing, and the ache of something you know can’t last.

The emotional depth of this series is devastating in the best way. Watching Prince Saenkaew being rejected by his father, blamed for his mother’s death, and told he’d never be loved broke me completely. That kind of pain lingers. It’s the pain of a child who never stopped apologizing for simply existing.

And yet, in all that darkness, Sasin loves him anyway. Their love feels forbidden yet destined, like two souls bound across time. Sasin doesn’t just love Prince Saenkaew; he heals him. He teaches him that love isn’t something you deserve only when you’re perfect, but something that saves you when you’re broken.

The letters they write to each other, no phones or texts, just ink and longing, made my heart ache. Every word was a heartbeat, every page a confession. It’s a beautiful reminder of a love that existed before instant replies, when feelings were carved into paper and memory.

The story doesn’t promise simple happiness; it promises truth. Prince Saenkaew stands at the crossroads between duty and love, and you can feel the weight of every choice he makes. Whether the ending will bring peace or heartbreak, it’s clear it will be powerful, emotional, and unforgettable.

💔 Love in the Moonlight broke me, healed me, and reminded me why I fell in love with BL storytelling in the first place. Every episode is a masterpiece, delicate, emotional, and unforgettable.

This isn’t just another BL.
It’s art.
It’s emotion.
It’s Thai BL history in the making.
🌙 10/10 and I would relive every heartbreak again.

Mutual heart theft

What can I say about this. This drama is so good, the writing is so well paced, love didn't come quick and neither did trust, they were enemies and they acted as such, neither needlessly cruel nor unreasonably kind, just two people trying to deal with their emotions while also safeguarding their mutual clans. Slowly, the affection sprouted and then love bloomed and god how I love their communication, you feel tension but there are no misunderstandings that drag forever, anything that pops up is quickly resolved through talk and even if the talk isn't the solution at least they say all there is to say. Manman is such a sweet and smart lady, she stole my heart from the start, she isn't physically strong but she is so clever that she can overturn any situation. I could go on forever but I will stop here.
Music is awesome! Love it highly recommend.

Quiet, Heartfelt, Amazing Chemistry

There is nothing achingly original about the story line- a well-traveled BL fan has seen this sweet story of childhood friends turned awkward lovers countless times, but there is a freshness in the way the story unfolds. The use of flashback enhances the emotion of the present day story and it’s through those flashbacks, so well integrated into the present day story, that really brings the depth of the love story to your heart.

And the chemistry between the male leads is a perfect balance of sweet, tender, romantic love, and a more primal, fierce, I need to possess you intensity.

now that the series has finished, I can see this becoming a comfort watch that I come back to time and time again, not unlike Time of Fever.

both actors bring such earnestness to their portrays of their characters that you are immediately enamored with them as individuals and as a couple.

Story and Cast captivates from the beginning

This drama really surprised me! I expected it to be very serious and possibly draggy storyline but it was none of that. Right from the 1st episode I was invested and couldn't wait to see what was gonna happen next. Loved FL! She is stunning and played the part of a strong intelligent woman perfectly. ML did fantastic playing the dark cruel leader and clueless new husband that knew nothing abt being thoughtful or love. They are now in my list of TOP 3 best couple chemistry bc their dynamic is off the charts so good especially the intimate scenes 🔥 like I needed cool down time for those! The supporting cast is just as phenomenal. Usually in dramas theres some characters you get so done with watching but not with this one. The 4 generals to the ML are hilarious and such a highlight! Their sparks of comedy really made it best parts in the show. one of the them, Wei Liang is so cute and such a romantic. His fun relationship with Xiao Tao is adorable and I couldn't wait to see them get married BUT the writers had to break my heart and have him killed. Omg I just know everyone was bawling! I do wish we saw more of Liuyang scheming bc he made a good villain. The lady with the mask had more villain time imo.The pacing of the show was great. I wasn't bored at any time and nothing dragged out. Unlike many other dramas that rely on misunderstandings in the relationships to help the storyline along this one is an enemies to lovers tale that is all about how much the couple trusts each other. Any miscommunications are resolved immediately too which I love bc i get so frustrated when other dramas drag those out forever. I will definitely rewatch this!
