Sleeper drama - WAY better than Red Moon Pact!
I've noticed a lot of people saying the same things. I went into this drama with little to no expectations because of how bad Red Moon Pact was (I did not finish the predecessor lol). I was pleasantly surprised at how this drama slowly pulled me in episode by episode...The ML is a big reason for this. I have not watched Zhang Yun Long before but after watching LIP, I am a fan. His character Wangquan Hongye is my favorite in this drama. He's powerful and completely goal driven, but as serious as his life and situation is he still doesn't have a serious or boring personality. He's playful and caring towards the ones he loves and when he falls in love, he's an absolute adorable puppy dog. By the end (SPOILER) he had me crying with him. ZYL did an excellent job in the last two episodes and really portrayed how broken, empty and hopeless of a man he became after losing most of the people he cared about. But then allowing in a smidge of happiness when becoming a father and soldiering on.
As for the FL, Liu Shi Shi is not my favorite actress but I don't hate her at all. I have mixed feelings about the character Dongfang Huiazhu. LSS's face is beautiful and I had no idea she was in her late 30s until I looked it up, but she's just not very expressive with that gorgeous mug lol There's also not much range in her voice when she's portraying different emotions. None of these opinions would put me off from watching her again though. At the end of the day I still think she's watchable and effective. I still found myself rooting for the main CP's romance from ep 1. They looked great together and were a perfect match when it came to their personalities and powerful positions in their families. I found their love to be sweet and you could see by the end how deeply they cared for each other. There were also no competing love interests or misunderstandings that led to unnecessary break-ups etc...
Side characters: besides the ML, the rest of the characters shown brighter for me. The entire Masked Group stole my heart, especially Li Gou and Wangquan Zui. Shen Yue's character, Dongfang Qin Lan was very pretty and hilarious as well. Only two of the side couples had enough scenes to make them significant. The first CP is Wangquan Zui and Yang Yitan of course. Their love story was so natural and innocent. The 2nd CP was Zhang Zheng and Qingmu Yuan. That story was great and the actors killed it like always. I did want to see more of Red Eyes and Mu Mie/Qin Lan and Li Gou. But neither of those stories turned into anything positive.
The villains: I like Lin Bo Rui but his acting here was just okay. He has such a cute face too but there was zero emotional sell for his character. At the end of the day, he got the job done I guess. Jia Lan was very pretty but we didn't get enough scenes with her not in smoky Black Fox form for me to care for her. But the entity of the Black Fox itself was a formidable antagonist. She made you terrified of her and hate her at the same time. Jin Renfeng was a useless weasel in my opinion. I couldn't stand his face or listen to his voice so I mostly spaced out during his scenes. The Nangong family were better villains but they weren't significant for long.
The ending: This drama ending was not a happy one, but it was actually executed well for a xianxia. The story ended on a straightforward and impactful note. Both the lead actors did a great job in last 2eps as well.
Music/Cinematography: The songs are sweet and catchy. Very fitting for the drama. The visual effects weren't awesome but not offensive. The costumes were nice and all the characters looked great in my opinion.
Overall, I'm happy I gave this drama a chance despite not liking RMP. I got way more into it than I expected to and got so attached to my Masked Group :( I'm actually excited for Sword and Beloved now. Please don't let us down!

Its alright,nothing special
It was alright but a little slow. Im used to wuxia dramas with alot of martial arts and sword fighting and stuff so this ones a bit slow but I love Liu Yuning so ill watch the whole thing. The beggining and the ending episodes were great but the middle episodes were pretty slow. Also not to be mean but the female lead, while her acting is fine, her voice is so annoying, she talks like a baby and is so quiet even when shes mad and stuff its unrealistic,i wish she would talk in a normal voice not that baby voice. I personally would not add to me rewatch list, but hey i guess everything cant be a masterpiece. I give it a 7 out of 10 and thats a bit generous. Was this review helpful to you?

Fun, hot
This is a fun story about a player female lead who meets her match. A woman who knows what she wants to do but does struggle with figuring out her feelings. A bit of a role reversal bad girl goes soft type of deal and yes I loved it. And I love therm. The male lead is smart, fun, knows how to play and satisfy our female lead and actually gets the notion of consent pretty well (not perfectly but) :"You are to drunk to consent to anything so not tonight".
The friendships are good, and we get just enough elements from the other dramas in the series to be able to connect them without letting the other series take away focus from the plot.
The scenery and food is gorgeous and I do believe this has more sex-scenes than a Thai BL.
This could probably have been a 9, even with its clice predictable plot but then came the las cringeyest cringe episode ever to be shown in Dramaland, and trust me there is a lot of cringe out there but I do believe this probably beet them all.
So mind the cringe, mind the female leads fears, the reason for the break up... ok you will need to overlook quite a bit... If you can overlook it all you are in for an enjoyable ride, as this is a very easy binge... even with the cringe...

Such an amazing and wonderful drama. Worthwhile watching it.
This drama is really amazing and wonderful. The character and the roles played by each and every actor and actress are so good. This drama defines the importance of justice, freedom, betrayal of close ones, and sacrificing oneself to protect the one with whom you wish to spend your life together till death. Both ML and Fl played a robust character indeed. They are both meticulous, calculative, and kind, compassionate, and are willing to sacrifice their life to protect to protect the people of their origin. Also, the roles played by supporting actors and actresses are outstanding. They also have a similar mindset like that of the main character and are willing to protect/endanger/surrender themself to protect the ones they love or care about. This drama is must must-watch drama, and the ending is good and justified as wellWas this review helpful to you?

Good Drama
I have enjoyed this drama. The FL was SDC and innocent at the beginning, and she has played her darker self very well. The ML is always consistent (and I will add so handsome) in any drama he is in. I really like the whole cast and even the ones we should hate are worth hating. Gotta love that mean Empress. She makes me want to slap her face. Lol, which means she plays her part way too well. This drama is not a waste of your time even though you may grow impatient with wanting this couple to finally get together. I hope the ending is good and not a bad oneWas this review helpful to you?

Watch it for Narimiya Hiroki
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I will watch anything, literally anything with Narimiya Hiroki in it and I'll enjoy it!!That's how much I LOVE him, I'm incapable of hating anything he is in it, I can't, I just can't.
Now I'll try to be honest here this drama isn't by any mean the best of it's kind, nor a fantastic drama that you must watch, it won't change your life or anything it's a plain psychological drama that you can totally skip and sleep well at night.
Acting was spectacular as expected, Hiroki shines in his role, this guy has been away from acting since about 2016 and HE STİLL HAS THE KNACK OF İT, now I can't really judge other characters since the drama is basically on Hiroki's shoulder but the reporter stands out, he was fantastic.
The story was nice, no mystery here, pretty predictable and nothing to look forward to. Nevertheless, it's not as boring as I've seen in the comments, it may need to be a little shorter like 6 episodes would have been perfect but 8 aren't considered bad since we needed a lot of backstory for literally all the characters and I believe if it was any shorter we might complain about the lack of backstory for some characters but all I'm saying is we can do without a few unnecessary scenes here and there ~
My overall rate is heavily influenced but that doesn't mean it was a bad drama, I would recommend it. I watched the whole thing without skipping while being on a drama slump so that means something, however, I understand if some found it boring or slow, it is to some extent but personally that wasn't enough to put me off.
Welcome back Hiroki San ❣️❣️

chaotic mess
I was expecting much more from it, as I was looking forward to this drama. The storyline is great, but the production and editing are not good. It would be much better if they made a proper drama, as it's basically a movie split into six episodes. So we could have proper storytelling that takes time, so you can feel for the characters instead of jumping from one scene to another. The villain was my favorite character, as Hyun Wook portrayed him perfectly. I did not bond with the characters as it was chaotic, rushed, and all over the place.
Now I'm really upset, as the actors did a great job, but the execution is not there.
If they make a season three, I hope this time they will do it properly.

NO SURE
I'm currently at episode 16.I will probably update my review later on.
In the past year, the dramavor in me have been somewhat, finding cdrama story to repetitive.
This drama started strong and captivated my attention. But at episode 12, when they started with the scheming cousin and then came the scheming lady Luo, I find myself wanting to drop the drama.
The scheming of these 2 were too obvious that it annoyed me so much to see FL and ML being so easily manipulated by them. So many coincidence but no one is really looking into them... (Fortunately, ML's cousin seems to have awaken later on)
Also, unfortunately, although it started with a FL that i could like, the more the drama is evolving, the less I like her. She's always scheming and liying to ML, but dont understand why ML doesn't trust.
Only with the grudges of the previous generations, ML has all the reasons to be weary of anyone from her clan... but still, she keeps going against ML's plans. Also, her facial expressions don't change much....
I'm not saying that ML is perfect, but his attitude is way more understandable than FL.
I can get past many things that I don't like in any drama if the characters are not du.mb when the occupy strong power positions.
Well, we'll see how it evolves.... I think it should pick up good in a few episodes. As we all know, cdrama writers do need to add "unnecessary plots episodes ", in order to drag the whole drama to the link that was in their contract.... haha

From Anime to Reality: My Happy Marriage Live-Action
I'm a big fan of this anime and have read the manga, so I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. My Happy Marriage is a delicate and heartfelt love story set in an alternate Japan, where magic and supernatural abilities determine a person's worth. Miyo Saimori, a young woman mistreated by her family for lacking powers, is sent to marry Kiyoka Kudo, a feared military commander known for his cold demeanor.
What begins as a meeting between two people shaped by rejection and loneliness evolves into a deeply human story of healing, trust, and the quiet power of true love. The film blends romance, drama, and fantasy with elegant cinematography and moving performances.
Mio Imada delivers a tender, nuanced portrayal of Miyo, while Ren Meguro adds a new emotional layer to Kiyoka's character. Though some details from the manga/anime are omitted, the story’s core remains intact.
A touching film that lingers in the heart—and leaves you wanting more.

This drama made me use a lot of tissue omg. i'm very sad why almost all of the mask group is dead. i really like how Hongye love Huaizhu so much. I'm in awe how his effort to get Huaizhu and sad at the same time because of the ending haha. Overall i think this drama is amazing. The main actor and actress had such good chemistry and the supporting role is soooo goood, like usually they're a main role in another drama bur, in LIP they're a supporting role and this is amazed me. The hate JHG received/is receiving is disproportionate
I was quite taken aback by the hate the show received as well as JHG and So Hee.About the show: I don’t think S1 was better than S2 nor do I think S2 is better than S1.
Many expressed their disappointment towards S2 while flooding S1 with compliments. But remember, S1 received a lot of bad reviews because of the final outcomes as well as the final challenge which was quite abrupt and too quick compare to the rest. And I remember very well Ha Seok Jin and Lee See Won getting hate comments because of their « selfish » game. and now everyone says S1 was such a banger while S2 is sh**?!
Truth is, there are always going to be people criticizing Devil’s plan but still, most are going to stick to the end of the show and never mention that it was indeed entertaining. Otherwise they wouldn’t have stuck until the end.
I can agree with the fact that it was slower (more boring) than S1 but that is because the challenges were indeed trickier and somehow « better thought » but at the same time, too complex for a reality tv program and for the public.
That is also because of that kind of games I think S2 is better than S1 on this point because it allows interesting turns of event and « more dramas ». It’s still a reality tv program tho.
Also the contestants were somehow on a better similar « intelligence » level than those in S1. So it had less « disparities » and gave the chance to have in-prison contestants a power to shine through strategies. In S1, we had a lot of disparities leaving poor chances to those at the bottom to « fight back » and proof is that most of you don’t remember who they were…
But because S1 was less boring and had that « new stuff » quality, thus the discovery feeling.. it makes me feel S1 was better than S2.
But you see there are good/bad arguments in both sides, making it difficult for me to say that one was better than the other.
I can understand personal feelings ; But the hate towards S2 was unjustified.
Same goes for JHG and low key So Hee. We can agree JHG has a cold attitude but he never appeared to me as narcissist or toxic or disrespectful. He actually takes critics better than some others in the show and is willing to apologize and give some thoughts when told he did something wrong (about his comment toward Hyun Jun) and he always stayed loyal to people he appreciated (he talked about So Hee in 2nd episode, cried for Kyu Hyun in a
10th, cheered for Ha rin, Tino.. stated he couldn’t get along that well with 7high) I guess people take someone toxic as soon as someone is blunt/direct. If he is said toxic, then so was 7high after challenge 1 and his aggressive tone and behavior towards basically people he didn’t know at that point. If people agreed with his attitude then what is criticized about JHG is thus unfair. And about the talk with Hyun Joon, he apologized. Besides, Hyun Joon was very nonchalant and very cruel in words toward him behind the camera, which JHG never did… so again you can dislike a cold/blunt attitude but saying he’s toxic and throw hate is unjustified.
My point is, nobody was toxic or violent or vilain in the show to the point you can throw so much hate at someone’s face.
On last episode JHG seemed aware of his behaviors but he seemed aware before starting the game… He said he was here to play. And the show isn’t about fair play and it was clear he didn’t want to keep around people he didn’t connect with.
I mentioned low key Soo Hee because she didn’t receive « that much » hate but telling her she has no personality, she is a simp etc, I really wonder what makes people feel good about throwing shade like that. People wonder if she was in awe or love of JHG or if she was too pure, either way, is that a problem ?! Kindness is missing on earth and about love, I’d like to see you in the same room with the person you are in love and competing against him. Also most viewers are women and so most commentators are women, that makes me feel even more terrified at what women are ready to throw at one another. Superiority complex or jalousy it must be I guess..
I personally like everyone in the game. I had preferences like Cho Kyu Hyun, 7high, Tino… for different reasons but I never came to the point of hating someone (it takes a lot of energy tho…) and moreover even if I disliked one of them I would never have thought about going on their Ig, sending hate or take over all comments sections (forums, MDL, etc.) and throw hate…
To conclude S2 was very entertaining, and the contestants were all interesting to watch over the episodes.
Not sure if my review will be seen but if so, I’m sure you’d like to come at me. But again it would just prove my point… There is a gap between lashing out at someone and just saying he’s not my cup of tea. And you can of course prefer S1 over S2. I just wrote down the reasons I think none is better than the other.

One of the Best School Series (the best for me tho)
✓ Taekwang, Eunbyeol, Soyeong = best characters✓ Taekwang & Eunbi = best pair/ ship
✓ Kim Sohyun & Jo Soohyang = best actors
BEST SCENE: every single scene of real Eunbyeol trampling over Soyeong (especially when she destroyed her phone)
SADDEST SCENE: Taekwang going to his mom's wedding. I cried there a lot. He got another fight with his dad and confessed his feelings to Eunbi but just heard her apologizing and did not "at least" consider him (all these were on the same day T^T). Worse was that no one knew he was so broken.
BEST EPISODE: Episode 14 & 15
It breaks my heart how Taekwang kept being straightforward to his feelings even though he had the idea that Eunbi liked Ian. He's such a man.
Ian and Eunbi are a good pair, too, but the situation and the plot didn't sit well with me. Is it really that easy to lose your 10-year-feeling on a girl over her twin sister? That's pretty awkward.
[ A review after rewatching it I think for the 3rd or 4th time, 2016 was the first time I watched it ]
School 2015 is one of the best school dramas I watched since 2010. Kim Sohyun as expected did a great job in portraying her roles (I already watch some of her dramas before). She's so natural and did not make it hard for me to differentiate the twins even without them speaking. Surprisingly, I did not expect to be awed by Jo Soohyang. The first time I saw her I thought she's familiar (turned out that she was the girl in Mansae, a musicvideo of SEVENTEEN). She's an amazing villain here, I really felt my blood boiling bcoz of her superb acting. These two actresses speak QUEENS.
The only bad thing about this for me is the endgame and how much the production mistreated the character of Yook Sungjae.
I find it so unfair that Ian had all good while Taekwang hadn't had one (before he and his dad reconciled) and even rejected by Eunbi many times. Ian was a very promising athlete, respected/ adored by many, got a loving dad, a 10-year bff, and a girl who liked him back. Meanwhile, Taekwang only had Eunbi as a friend (whom he had unrequited feelings for) and most ppl always took him like a joke. Nothing against Ian's character, everything he got is fine, but at least the production should have made it better for Taekwang even just by getting the girl, especially after making us fall for him. Such a wrong move, tbh.
The production made it look like Taekwang was the endgame because his character seemed to be the second most important after Eunbi/ Eunbyeol (yes, you read it right. Taekwang is the male lead of the series. Being a male lead doesn't have to be chosen as a love interest all the time, this depends on how his role played in a story. Take Yuki from Fruits Basket. He's the second most important character after the female lead, and is the central character of the story).
Taekwang played a huge role in the story as a protective male friend of Eunbi, being there at all times especially in her bad times. He's the one who first discovered Eunbyeol's true identity and stood up for her. He even comforted her while Eunbi was just heartbroken for being ignored by Ian. He stayed with her in the hospital while seeing her taking care of another guy whom she liked. He always asked "Are you okay?" to her when something was up. He always told her to be just herself in front of him, whether she's Eunbi or Eunbyeol. Who would not love THE Gong Taekwang?
Also, episode 14 and 15 made it look like Eunbi was starting to develop feelings for Taekwang which only turned out to be a false hope.
"You'll regret dumping me later. That's for sure." -Taekwang
How I wish Eunbi will.
Have rewatched this a lot but I'm still bitter, and I will continue feeling that way until Yook Sungjae and Kim Sohyun will get their own drama together as a couple. Best couple award and CF are not enough for me to heal. This isn't like Love Alarm when Sohyun chose a more deserving guy.

Great fun for a drama with a decidedly dark side
May 2025I so enjoyed this! The often dead-pan humour, the mix of characters (a few quirky, to say the least 😄), the cast/acting, and most importantly, the plot, which is actually very dark.
The soundtrack fit really well, too.
Cha Tae-hyun is a favourite actor, and I feel he's quite underappreciated. No one does acting via wonderful facial expressions, quite like he does.
Lee Sun-bin, as the tenacious and often principled [for a] reporter, spent most of the drama with messy hair and looking like she needed a good rest - but it fit the character. She was all about the job of breaking stories and revealing the truth, never mind how dangerous. Everything else came second.
The very early episodes had some really OTT elements. Luckily I could overlook those and stuck with it; mainly because there was more I was starting to enjoy about the series, that it didn't put me right off.
It is a blend that doesn't always work... a darker side, comedy, tongue-in-cheek and at times whacky... but as far as I was concerned, it worked in this. I found myself laughing in just about every episode, and getting really tense in others.
Lots of twists and turns, too; plus a great climax.
The way the music changed whenever one particular character, played by Yoon Kyung-ho, appeared, made me giggle every time.
It also demonstrated the power of the media.
Definitely worth a watch, and I'd have given 10⭐️ for rewatch value, were it not for knowing the ending 2nd time+ around.

I LOVE SCIENCE NOW!!
Ahhhh, I've finally finished this amazing drama...Do u guys know smth I've seen this drama before, and i have really come across it a lot of times, but didn't dare to watch it as i wasn't really in the right vibe to watch it, but this past few days, i suddenly clicked on it as I didn't really have anything to lose if i did, so i just clicked, but GUYS I really regretted not watching it those times I saw it, it was too good of a drama for me (people) to have skipped..i really enjoyed this drama so much.. (p.s this was actually my next cdrama in a while after i finished The first frost). But now, lemme start by talking bout the characters..First, we have our leads Xiao He & Su Chengcheng, and these two are childhood friends who seperated but met again at college with the other recognising the other, but that other didn't recognise him...u will hear of the reasons as u watch...but their CHEMISTRY is really amazing (Su Chengcheng fell first)...despite the three year gap they have irl....the next set of leads ur focus should be on are Gu Chen & Xixi, and for those two u can say their own love involves around them living in the same apartment, and bumping into each other and those stuffs we all know...(Gu Chen fell first)..Together, these characters navigate the intersection of science and emotion, attempting to quantify love while experiencing its unpredictable nature firsthand. Was this review helpful to you?

A solid start - the Krist-Singto magic is back
Yaay!!! Finally Krist-Singto are back ...and they are back with what seems like a good script, enough potential for mushy moments and a slice of real-life ...The chemistry is still bang on and delicious.....this definitely promises to be an action-packed and entertaining showJust a quick observation - Is it just me, or did they seem a tad awkward for that first peck on the cheeks?? Also, it was nice to see that gentle kiss, almost felt like we are back to the SOTUS days..:D
BL-needle score: 7. Reasonable Bl-ness so far
I don't think a lot needs to be said about the anticipation this show created, since most of us would anyway turn up to just gawk at the legendary pair.....beyond the chemistry of Krist-Singto, the show promises to be well-scripted and a mostly light-hearted story so far. Even though a weather forecast anchor with his own screaming fan club is a tad umm....extreme, I admit...but with looks like Krist's, well, it's at least not unimaginable....:P
I'm also betting that the show will likely have a slice of reality (read muck) from the entertainment-news media sector...the mad competition, the star tantrums, the realities of people behind the camera, etc. I'm glad that Krist took on a character which has more than its fair share of shadow elements...also, I'm sure as the show reveals more we will learn why Padtaphi turned out to be the way he is and what really transpired between him and Tamtawan....
For now, I will be glued on. :D
