Made for a Teenage Audience
Already after the first episode, it becomes clear the series is obviously aimed primarily at a teenage audience.Apparently, there was no real synopsis at all; it seems to me that it was being made up on the fly during filming—otherwise. Compared to a theme like shamanism, one could say that "The Book of Our Destiny" with Ro Woon etc... actually looks like great . At least there was a simple but quite charming plot and a likable main couple—Ro Woon and Cho Bo-a. Here, they cast young, still-rising actors (the guy, yes, has some interesting projects, but he looks thirty, while the girl looks eighteen; the combination is completely unconvincing).
This shamanic storytelling, aimed primarily at teenagers, offers nothing truly worthwhile. Two excellent actresses—Kim Mi-kyung and Chu Ja-hyun—seem to have participated only for the paycheck. On top of that, the school setting is already pretty tiresome. They clearly released this project right after "Hunted Palace" to capture the same “vibes” . From a popularity standpoint, it may have worked, but definitely not for me.

A hugely popular series
A hugely popular series, loved by many for the couple’s chemistry and the funny moments. I Think this is a Korean adaptation of the movie "Two Weeks Notice" with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. The couple in this series is quite amusing, and the chemistry between them is perfect—which is the main ingredient for this genre. But towards the end, as it seemed to me, everything started to slide into kitsch: too much marshmallow and chocolate cream on bread—it just felt over the top.Was this review helpful to you?

A must watch brilliant piece.
OMG what a brilliant actress is kim go eun, no wonder all the directors wants to work with her. In one drama she played a bubbly girl with sweet nature and here a physcopath with bang on reaction. Her eyes speaks when she act, all the projects she choose till now is a masterpiece drama. The price of confession is same as the title suggest, story revolves around two people who make a deal for their own desire. But the plot and twist is so good, till the end I was hooked. How a simple person turns into a psychopath for her revenge and guilt towards her family and in the other hand how a person nature opposing all the bad thing and try to find out what actually happened. It's also suggest don't make assumptions on people without any proof. I also thought she killed her husband because the way she is behaving at the police station. We people really fast to judge other without knowing anything and everything. I am suggesting you to watch it to enjoy the thriller trip. A must watch drama people who likes combination of thriller and suspense. Was this review helpful to you?

Could've made it on it's own, not as a prequel.
This series is so awesome and I literally cry every single time I rewatch. It's so sensual, and the cinematography is a chef's kiss. Tae Min's acting makes me cry SO MUCH! Like I don't get it, how can you just make your eyes yearn like that? But anyways, my complaint is that it didn't totally make sense compared to "Unintentional Love Story" which is the series that this series is based off. I'll be honest, I didn't really like ULS and I even disliked it more after watching this because the Time of Fever is just so much better, and their story is so much more interesting. I'll still rate it a 10 because on its own, it's fantastic. Was this review helpful to you?
FairyTale unfolding Kdrama style
I find this drama a good combination of typical Kdrama with a magical world combined with age old fairytales. We have a Genie and human being involved with wishes with you die or I die Kdrama situation. As here the mystical being is Genie it brings all the beloved things from the Aladin cartoon. The result of this combination is pure entertainment. We have a decent magical world with satisfying main characters but the strong point is definitely the main leads played to the perfection by the respective actors. Kim woo bin is made for this role who can showcase the different emotions within a minute only with his eyes. I absolutely loved the Ginie character who is actually a devil and wants to corrupt the human beings with the wishes at the same time he is lovable and gullible himself. This Genie wants to beat one human being which is righteous in all her previous lives and he has failed to corrupt her. Enter our main lead , lump of clay , who is in her current life does not feel any feelings and has been referred to as Psychotic. Their love story unfolds with a pretty strong universe and although lots of complicated wish granting and past life baggage is unfolding the writer does seem to have a plan which unfolds in the final showdown.
Overall the strong point with this drama is comedy with stunning cinematography and this will be a good entertaining one time watch
P.S. Kim woo bin and Suzy look amazing with beautiful chemistry in every frame, whether the background is cherry blossoms, a desert, her workshop where she is actually making coffins for herself or last but not the least inside the genie's lamp

A really good story
I read a review that called it a compelling story and that is an accurate description. If I had named the show I would have called it "The extraordinary life of Gu Pingyuan". I really enjoyed the story, it's about a guy just living his life and what an extraordinary life he is living. It's a very easy watch, not a complicated story, just a smart guy with a silver tongue living his life, trying to get back to his family and figure out who framed him and run his small tea farm, but life has other plans. There's a bit of a revenge plot, little bit of palace and foreign politics, some war and unnecessary romance.
I just want to rant a bit about the romance, initially the thought the story is so good it doesn't need a romance, and I still do because his interactions with the love interest all felt inorganic, like a filler plot, they didn't added to the story or move the plot, I felt like it distracted from the story. However towards the end of the drama I thought, a romance between Gu Pingyuan and Ms Su would have been perfect and it wouldn't need to be an in your face we are in love romance, just leave us with the impression that they are riding off into the sunset together. *End of rant*
Overall a good easy watch that won't give you anxiety, some parts could be done better but still highly recommend.

Python Romance
First, am not really into youth dramas, but this got me hooked because of that steamy scene in ep. 3. TBH, this has a great potential. The storyline was just too lacking. The writer could have given the leads and supporting characters more story into it rather than wasting most of the time on the school politics.First time to watch the entire cast in a drama. ML has a great potential for more hot lead roles. FL was just okay. But, totally impressed on memorizing those narrative lines she delivered for her role. Romance and chemistry was there, but definitely lacking. I was looking forward for more steamy romance from the leads, but, that's it....it just stayed as an illusion and a dream. I also shipped the romance between Na Rae and that hot blond bi guy. Sadly, they didn't give it a chance to elevate the relationship further. And yeah, why don't I see that hot blonde's name in the cast? as for their les friend Dong Won, I'm not really into her story but she's a cool friend I must say.
I had a few laughs in this drama. I enjoyed the jealousy meter of ML in ep. 14. Am glad there was a bit of character development for ML's Manager towards the finale. Yes, there was a bit drag here and there that made me skip some scenes too. Overall, it was an okay drama for me. Not that good and not that bad either. The ending just gave this drama a total downfall. It's a 7.0 for me.

Must Watch - At least for the acting
The beginning was absolutely spot-on. I kept hoping nothing bad would happen to him, even though I knew he was going to get framed. It really had me hooked… right up until he escaped prison straight through the main gate. After that, the car chase and the whole survival-game vibe felt a bit off and kind of disconnected from the main plot.Acting-wise, everyone nailed their roles. JCW is always my number one, and D.O. and Kwangsoo were amazing too. Honestly, my first suspect was his girlfriend — but then she just disappeared from the story completely.
The ending didn’t feel very satisfying considering everything they went through. The villain was too good to be taken out that quickly. And Baek Do-kyung, who literally murdered so many people, just died like that?
Still, overall it’s a good series — definitely worth watching.

I really loved Chosen Home
I really enjoyed Chosen Home for its softness and quiet, gentle vibe. It’s not flashy or dramatic it’s calm, subtle, and heartfelt in a way that feels honest and soothing. The main couple gave me serious Haruta and Maki energy from Ossan’s Love with their warmth, gentle chemistry, and the way they grow closer through everyday moments rather than big, dramatic confessions. I loved how the show focused on small, tender interactions simple conversation, shared glances, comfortable silences and made those moments feel just as meaningful as any big plot twist. The pacing is slow in the best way, letting you really soak in the mood, the characters’ feelings, and the softness of their connection. If you’re into BL stories that emphasize gentle romance, realistic emotional growth, and a cozy atmosphere, Chosen Home is definitely worth watching it’s quiet, sweet, and quietly unforgettable. Was this review helpful to you?
I LOVED THE SCHOOL NURSE FILES DESPITE IT BEING A MESS
I genuinely enjoyed this series so much but I get why people dislike The School Nurse Files, everything happens fast, so many things aren’t explained, and it can be confusing. But for some reason, it all worked for me. I loved the absurdity, the surreal atmosphere, the jellies, the rainbow sword, and the weird yet emotional vibe. It’s messy, chaotic, and strange, but that’s exactly what made it so enjoyable. It definitely could’ve been better with more backstory and explanations, but even without that, I couldn’t stop watching it’s a unique, unforgettable series. Was this review helpful to you?

Appealing and entertaining
I recently watched a Korean series that had some of the same problems that ROOFTOP PRINCE has–overused cliches, lack of logic, unbelievable plot. But I didn’t dislike ROOFTOP PRINCE as much as I disliked that first series. In fact, I quite liked it. What’s the difference?1. First, ROOFTOP PRINCE was made in 2012. Some hokey stuff (going to an amusement park, watching fireworks, riding bikes) that have since been done to death--were still fresh back then.
2. The ML and FL were so playful and likable that they added something new to every trope.
3. Big chunks of this drama were zany and madcap and not supposed to be taken seriously. Yes, the actors also overacted in places when they should have been playing it straight. And the plot didn’t always make sense. None of this bothered me, although I’m guessing it will bother other viewers.
It was such a joy watching the uptight, authoritarian prince get his due from an enlightened, modern Korean girl. It was hard not to fall in love with both of them. Both leads played off of each other with ease and affection.
I’ve never enjoyed secondary characters as much as I have the prince’s Korean sidekicks. In most series, the secondary characters are annoying or poorly written or fillers that add nothing to the plot. Not here. Each of the guys was hilarious and irresistible.
One of the things that DID have a weird vibe was the way the ML talked to the FL. He called her “stupid,” “vulgar,” and said he wanted to “rip her mouth out” among other things. He did this with kind of, sort of, a twinkle in his eye–so you could convince yourself, if you wanted to, (and I wanted to) that he was just teasing because he actually liked her so much. It didn’t seem to bother the FL that he was saying these things. She even gave it back to him in spades. So why did it bother me?
Here’s why. Because some men start out by making inappropriate remarks in a teasing way–and later, when the relationship is under stress, they’ll say it again – only this time, no one’s laughing.
Still, there was plenty of evidence that our ML was a decent guy who would take good care of the FL, if given the chance. So I put my reservations aside.
In the second half, the story became more plot driven. The writers gave us a lot of half-baked, nefarious scheming by the villains–schemes that our ML and the FL (especially) should have been able to anticipate. But they didn’t-- which frustrated me and made both leads seem a bit doltish.
Nevertheless, overall this is an entertaining series. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

An extra point for production quality.
With all the buzz surrounding the GL series and the waves it's making, My Safe Zone might not be the most impressive or even a masterpiece that leaves fans and non-fans alike in awe. But as the debut series of LenaMiu, this series is pretty decent, with good visuals while also having some evident flaws in the scripts and story development.Let’s start with the problem. The big issue with this series lies in its weak script and poor plot development. While the chemistry and acting are commendable, they can't really compensate for the shortcomings. The story structure is rather loose, with some of the conflicts not even having a satisfying resolution. Other than Alin, the absence of a solid backstory for Jane and the other characters makes them feel one-dimensional and kind of dull right from the start, which definitely doesn't help in fully engaging with the story. Another noticeable issue is the wardrobe department. The styling choices for the characters are sometimes questionable, with unflattering outfits that do not fit the situation. When it comes to their GL series, Ch3 seems to prefer the ‘unrealistic ideals’ over creating a comfortable and realistic look.
Now, the good stuff. LenaMiu clearly share great chemistry off-screen, which translates beautifully on-screen. Their romance, the friends-turned-lovers trope, is portrayed quite smoothly and convincingly, making their interactions feel natural and authentic. In terms of acting, Lena simply gives her best, bringing the emotion to her characters. Although it’s probably not her best performance to date, it’s still impressive to see her stepping up her acting game with this genre. Miu did a pretty good job too.
I can deal weak storylines, but I can't tolerate bad or lousy production values. And gladly, MSZ doesn't lack in this area. Khun Ou Patchanee's visual direction is good, with beautiful shots that capture the emotions of the characters. I don't have any issues with her visual compositions. I personally like the color grading, as it manages to add to the overall atmosphere of the series. As someone who's been watching Ch3 for ages, the visual storytelling of this series is somewhat better compared to other lakorn, in my opinion. So extra point for production quality.
And one of my pet peeves when watching a series is the use of the same transition shots (the day-to-night/night-to-day timelapse or night/day establishing shot). Ch3, you’re a broadcast channel for crying out loud and there’s no freakin' way you don't have stock footage. So I just assumed MSZ's editing team was just too lazy to find different shots.
In conclusion, My Safe Zone is a pretty decent GL series with its fair share of ups and downs. It has potential, but the weak script holds it back from being a standout series. While this LenaMiu's debut series may not be perfect, it shows promise for their future projects together. With some improvements in the script, along with better plotlines and editing, LenaMiu could really shine in their upcoming project.

What is going on ???
As is often the case with CH3 original productions, there are a lot of plotlines introduced, but very few are actually developed, and many of them end up serving no real purpose in terms of character progression. Honestly, the writing is poorly done. For me, the only development Alin and Jane get is endless crying and a relationship so unhealthy it feels like it could end in a psychiatric hospital. The series only starts to become interesting in episode 6, even though there are only 8 episodes in total, which I find completely crazy.
The whole plot involving Pie was useless and uninteresting. The characters of Alin and Jane are poorly written, but we still manage to like them thanks to the actresses’ strong performances. They are the main reason I managed to finish the series—their chemistry works really well.
The secondary characters deserved much more depth; as they are, they’re basically pointless. However, I loved seeing Kate—she was really funny.
The line between the characters and reality is way too thin at times, which makes it uncomfortable and strange.
