Everything Went Right

A pleasant surprise from GMMTV's 2025 lineup that I didn't expect to touch my heart as much as it did. The premise is very simple and actually not that original compared to what you'll see in the entertainment industry, yet it's effective. The plot is solid and doesn't drag or stray from its original course. The few subplots that are introduced are not taking any unnecessary space or affect the narrative. The story remains loyal to its genre, with romance being the main focus from start to finish, and everything feels very natural and down to earth. The dialogues, the character growth, the reactions and interactions between characters are all organically developed.

As for the characters themselves, they are very lovable and multidimensional. They are not perfect or how a person is supposed to act or be. They are very human; they feel real. I also want to point out how important and refreshing it was to see a series embracing the actors' natural skin tones. It's a rarity seeing tanned actors without makeup on the screen, and I loved it.

In regards to the acting, it was good overall. Some actors admittedly have more experience than others within the cast, but there was no one that didn't do a good job portraying their characters. As for Mond and Ryu, being a new pairing, they were actually pretty cute and showed a lot of chemistry.

Overall, I do recommend this series to anyone looking for a heartwarming show. The beautiful cinematography and scenery really give you the vibes of that one summer you had in your life that felt special. It gives off a sweet and nostalgic feeling.

fun, campy, supersweet romcom with excellent acting and production value

THE ACTING, THE OUTFITS, THE SET DESIGN, THE ACTRESSES' CHEMISTRY, THE PRODUCTION VALUE, THIS WAS SO GOOD
campy light-hearted fun, a wholesome romcom!! print is adorable and reyprint's relationship is super super sweet. i love that they helped each other heal one another's childhood wounds.
im in love with p'wanmai btw. maifon stole my heart.
ALSO I LOVE HOW NO ONE ON THIS SHOW IS STRAIGHT. we got 2 yuri 1 yaoi and the way all print's siblings are gay too??? honestly so iconic<333
also i have to say these are some of the best sapphic steamy scenes that ive seen.

I m loving this drama

I think this drama deserves 8.2 - 8.7 rating , it's going so underated . I really like Ren jialun as a male lead, his acting is exceptionally good, and he looks so handsome as bai chifeng also the FL is also really great
.......,................. .....

I am genuinely obsessed with Love and Crown (2025) — like, this drama completely pulled me in before I even realized what was happening. From the very first episode, the chemistry between Ren Jialun and Peng Xiaoran had me glued to the screen. Their dynamic is that perfect mix of playful, intense, and emotionally loaded, and it makes every scene between them feel addictive.

What I love the most is the balance between romance, palace intrigue, and the whole Jianghu martial-arts world. Nothing drags, nothing feels forced — the story keeps moving with a smooth rhythm, and every episode leaves you wanting “just one more,” which of course turns into five. The dual identity of the emperor adds that extra thrill, and watching Ling Cangcang grow as a powerful, independent woman is honestly so satisfying.

Visually, the drama is stunning. The costumes feel luxurious, the sets look cinematic, and even the fight scenes have this graceful, artistic vibe. And don’t even get me started on the OST — it fits the emotional beats perfectly.

Overall, this drama checks every box for me. It’s beautiful, emotional, exciting, and totally binge-worthy. I’m fully hooked, and I love it way more than I expected.

Sun-Kissed Romance

Most definitely, this series carried such a summery vibe all throughout. From the warm cinematography and the playful color grading to the breezy locations, everything screamed sunshine and romance. And of course, the hot scenes between Winny and Satang added that extra spark. It was refreshing to see them step into more mature roles, really leaning into those steamy love scenes that pushed their chemistry to the next level. Now, I’ll admit—the acting wasn’t perfect. There were moments where it could’ve been sharper, but honestly, their chemistry more than made up for it, plus they both register so well on camera. Story‑wise, it follows the familiar rom‑com BL formula we’ve seen before, so I really did not expect major twists or reinventions. But what kept me hooked was the way it was narrated—the pacing, the vibe, the way the visuals tied everything together. The colors, the atmosphere, the whole aesthetic gave it a charm that made the series enjoyable despite its predictability. So yeah, while it’s not a masterpiece, it’s definitely a fun watch if you’re in the mood for something light, romantic, and visually pleasing. I’d land it at a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars—worth the ride for the chemistry and the summer glow it brings.

do not judge a kdrama by its title

a love that spans a thousand years, finding its way back again and again, no matter the life they’re reborn into 🧞‍♂️

this kdrama mostly showed the many sides of humanity through wishes granted by a genie. some that are righteous, some considerate and some even selfish.

almost every character in the villages had roles that intertwined with the story. they contributed something to the plot even if it was just a small part.

tbh i thought this was going to be a corny kdrama but it had an interesting premise, the last episodes put us on the edge as it concluded with a satisfying ending

A show covered that comes in good quality packaging but the actual product…….sucks.

I was sure I had found a unpopular Netflix gem, that’s my first mistake because Netflix produces more hot trash than good shows.

I started this show hoping the pacing will be good and that the supernatural aspect will be used well. However, the first 2 eps builds up this hope and sets this scene for ABSOLUTELY nothing good ahead. At ep6 itself I clocked this was going to be bad but I thought I was being impatient and not letting the story play out completely. But even after I held on….i was right, i want my time back!!

ONE GOOD THIS ABOUT THIS DRAMA: The actors actually act, most are decent/good and the production is actually nice and great enough to keep my attention.

MY RANT ON WHY THIS SHOW SUCKS and no I’m not being dramatic or hateful.

They could’ve def made a decent short show with the scam organization plot but they decided to sabotage everything.

The scenes are misleading the viewer consistently to have it’s own story going on in the back to quote on quote sell a thriller with suspense and twists that NO will see coming .

It felt like this was a project that they tried out to see if it will garner any attention however, I haven’t personally seen any major promotion for this so idk what they were really even aiming for.

The reason I won’t say this plot has holes is because……the plot was actually never truly there. Like of course story like this is interesting and CAN have a lot of twists but this one just has major plot points and scenes that need to be shown but the sequence to those events and flow towards it are all SO not there. It’s like sticking something together but the glue isn’t there or rather it’s so poor in quality that the papers will fall apart eventually.

The story itself about scam centers could have def been a good watch if told well with a compelling story and not just the same old same old messed up things happen, the ‘protagonists’ try to get revenge and have a fight, then some losses happen and they TOTALLY shift their entire goal. THEN, the show ends with a potential sequel.

By the end of the show I stopped trying to figure out what is even happening cause they could quite literally start doing anything at that point. ANYHOW, I wanted to drop this right at the 6ep point because by that time I realized I was, once again, scammed by the drama being good quality visually and acting wise, and watched a complete waste of my time ;D The reason I finished is to shit on it after COMPLETELY finishing it so I can be SURE it sucks. But finishing it made me even more mad and my rating was at least going to be 5.5 but now it’s being dropped down to 3.5 JUST BECAUSE I hate Netflix and their obsession with not being able to tell a good story or ruinning any good source material OR adding 500 seasons to a show that doesn’t even deserve the original one.

Edit: i totally forgot to mention this one point that made me absolutely SO furious and that's the use of the supernatural powers. The whole story is set in a fictional place called 'Benkha' but truly i'm sure everyone can tell where it's TRULY set in so im not going to elaborate. They just used the fictional aspect to avoid any actual portrayal of real events and made it easy to just not care about cultural nuances, the language differences and even the law in that particular place.

From what i can remember, the little boy in ep1 turned to ash because 7days had passed. Which would mean, shih kai would also dissapear in one week time HOWEVER, you can't convince me that everything that happened, happening in a weeks time frame. Like WDYM THEY WERE TRAVELLING BY AIRPLANE BACK AND FOURTH SO MANY TIMES AND IT'S ONLY BEEN A WEEK ???
If the time frame to disappear was actually more than 1 week or based on something else, then that should be clear to viewer but it's not.
That's why it made me even more mad when the supernatural powers are being used only in the end to show that jinjin has a more 'GRAND PLAN' along with the 'Big boss' who we were not previously aware of. The use of magic was only done in the start and only re-appears in the end to sell the viewer on a potential season 2 and i can ALREADY TELLL IT'S GOING TO SUCK AGAIN so yeah,,,,i won't be tuning in and im already mad enough i gave this attention when i could've watched other things tsk tsk.

confusion

Watched this twice to make sure it wasn't as bad as I thought it was but was still bad second time. Tried to be too many things at once. The romance also made no sense as no reason or build up to them suddenly getting together. it was also backseat to the political conspiracy theme which was also done badly. Maybe they should have had more episodes to properly tell a story but trying to fit so many things in 9 episodes was a bad idea. ML i love but he looked tired and didn't seem to want to be in this drama but then again, I guess that's how to play a mercenary.

It's okay but.....

When this series began I was greatly entertained by the storyline and the actors. The actors were refreshing and it was interesting to see how this would evolve. A prince being betrayed by a close friend, losing his memory and starting afresh. The first few episodes were blunt and deliciously funny. Winny in the role of Lava was down to earth without pretense and on meeting Wave (Satang) continued to rub against the grain and irritated everyone. Then in true Gmmtv style it began to feel like a constant throbbing ache until the end. The unnecessary elongation of a script with nothing spectacular. Disappointment set in somewhere around ep 6. Then boredom took over. Episode 10 did some recovery and made it a better viewing.

From the night of the election campaign and most things after, there were numerous sighs being emitted. With all the money Gmmtv has, couldn't the baby bump actually look like a baby bump. Who smilingly gives up their newborn like they're distributing christmas gifts? Like no private conversation. Just blurt it out infront of everyone. Putting the couple on the spot. At this point, I'll bypass the diversion of Winny to help the shopkeeper, whose druggie son decides to inflict revenge. At least, make it look more credible.

Mond can get a pass but most and I do mean most can do with serious acting lessons. I'm left wondering if Neo is regressing. Gawin can not speak without his eyebrows constantly rising as he verbalizes. Ryu is trying but still has some way to go. Winny was a little too expressionless at times.

Personally, if I'm spending money on a project, it should be good. Gmmtv seems to be greenlighting projects to keep the actors names relevant but they should look into making them memorable. I will love to see Winny and Satang in another project because they are decent together. The ending did uplift it and was a nice touch to bring the romance to the fore and cute beach scene. I especially liked that Davin / Wave took some time apart to face his parents and choose the life he wanted. Both their characters showed growth at the end. Its not unwatchable but with a tighter script it might have been much better.

Luo YunXi Slays Again!

In Whispers of Fate, Luo Yunxi delivers a controlled and sincere performance, showing subtle emotions and strong screen presence. Some scenes are limited by the script and editing, but he remains the drama’s most compelling element. Even when the script gives limited layers, Luo Yunxi maintains stable chemistry with co-stars.
He doesn’t overshadow them but also holds the emotional center of the drama.

Great performances by the leads but the constant push was tiresome after awhile

I was in the mood for Ji Jun Liang drama after being reminded of his campus drama with Liu Xi Yu & Li Sheng Jie. I decided on this drama because it was said to have steamy kisses. I liked the drama although Chasing Routine is a more superior drama to this one.

What I liked:
1. Acting - Ji Jun Liang & Tan Qi Qi were great in their roles, individually and as a couple. There were a lot of push dynamics here because FL was letdown by ML but JJL was great at bringing pull dynamics. There were scenes that almost made me cry.
2. Romance - There were ups and downs in their marriage. Even though FL was utterly disappointed by ML's inaction at the start, I think her love for him never extinguished.
3. Supporting characters - I really liked FL's bestie, older sister-in-law, ML's bestie, friend and FL's housekeeper.
4. ML characterisation - He was flawed but I liked his character. He wasn't a bad guy, he just made a bad decision that cost him his marriage. He looked remorseful when he found out about FL's feeling of being letdown. I also liked him for removing himself from a toxic environment.
5. FL characterisation - I liked that FL stood up for herself and told ML she wanted to put her needs first. I also liked that she didn't give in to ML easily. Definitely loved her when she fought against bullies.
6. Styling - JJL looked handsome with and without shirts.

What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - Jin Mei Mei was pathetic for wanting ML despite being married to another man. ML's grandparents were atrocious.
2. Duration - Drama is 2 hours 40 minutes long. I found some of the quarrelling too draggy. I wish FL had been frank & just told ML about her real feelings.
3. Ending - It ended abruptly. I wanted a proper reconciliation with dates & grovelling.

Favourite scene
When ML finally learned the truth about the kidnapping

Again, a very underwhelming GMMTV production...

This seems to be again one of the fast produced GMMTV productions without much thought or deepness. The story is weak, even the first episodes started really awful imho, but in contrast to most GMMTV productions it gets better. Of course lazy writing was prevelent. Why give us a military coup in a country, but not going through with that storyline? It just resolved itself without us knowing exactly what happened.

Of course the characters are also cliché BL, part childish, part pubertal behavior with actors way over 20. Yes, after a horrible start this series got better, but it's not enough to make me like it. It's one of the series I will only remember of not even being medicore. Also the production quality is nothing compared we have seen from GMMTV this year. It feels like they just created the series to fill a slot and that's it. While I wished for Winny & Satang to have a strong series, this was just a disappointment.

Should you not have watched this, just skip it. Better to watch all the recent JBLs (except Takumi-kun) and you will have a much better experience, more fluff (except the Yakuza series) and especially more story. So, I will wait for "School Trip" which bring me amusment and tingling sensations. 🤣

Not there yet... so why?

Sukfilm usually delivers in this format. Short. Low low budget but decent. While the storyline in itself was interesting enough, the tall male lead was not. If it wasn't for the cheeky and cheerful disposition of the shorter male lead, there would be no need to watch. He is as stiff as cardboard and has the personality of paint. His sister, his friend and obviously his love interest had some vitality, he sadly was very tedious. I should also add, it's not all the scripts fault, which was more choppy than usual, it's him. Sadly, he appeared in another, Bound Contract and pretty much was just as unlively.

Sukfilm produced much better fare in the past. Bad Guy, Blue Boys and Soeul Blues had better actors, continuity and script. So what's going on. I hope this is just an anomaly and they revert to getting the best actors that can deliver within budget.

These shorts are usually a sweet treat where much brain activity is not needed. This left a mostly bland taste due to one actor, which is a shame. Still, I'll be looking out for more from Sukfilm or at least rewatch the good ones.

Finally a series with an healthy couple

Finally a series with an healthy couple, without to much drama around them. Not a break up and back together, back and forth situations. No third parties that want them breaking up.
No sudden amnesia etc.
Just a beautiful slow building romance 🥰
I can highly recommend this series and will definitely rewatch it.
I hope someday there will also be a WEBTOON about this drama.
Just to relive this story.

Truly an "Enjoyable and great series"

This series is a really solid drama with a great story and a cast that pulls it off well, especially since they’re all pretty young.
A worth watching series. Most of the performances are impressive, though some of the acting felt a bit off.

I didn’t feel any chemistry between Per and Mawin; it just seemed forced to me. On the other hand, Phun and Noh are fantastic together, and their chemistry really works.

I was hoping for more scenes with Earn and Pete, but I was kind of let down by how little we actually got. The kiss between Earn and Noh surprised me since I thought they might skip those scenes because of the actors being young. Honestly, while I do like Earn and Noh, I would have preferred a kiss between Phun and Noh instead.

Also, there are so many characters, it made it tough to keep track of everyone. Overall, I’d recommend the series eventhough I haven’t seen the original. And I don’t plan to watch the original at the moment.

I got to know about Almond and progress through this drama. And now I'm quite invested in Almond progress. They are both great actors, and I hope to see them in more significant roles in the future.
