The bl industry is stepping up
I've rewatched the first episode at least 5 times everything about it was intense and well doneActing was on point and the production team did a very a good job
And if you're a filming gig you're 100% going to enjoy this series the camera work was very enjoyable to follow
The horror was good enough and the story is already giving
I hope a lot of people will try this one because I'm sure you won't regret it
It's a high quality BL that everyone on the team worked hard so we can see this result

Even Cheng Lei could not save this drama
I'm skeptical about Song Yi as she doesn't have much expression in My Heroic Husband and Joy of LifeDecided to give her a chance in Shaow Love, what's more she is paired with Cheng Lei which I thought would be awesome
Watched two episodes and dropped then gave a second chance and continued until five
Song Yi as compared to Zhou Ye omg as I just finished LOTFG which was why I immediately chose SL but this is so disappointing sigh please just don't act in dramas again Song Yi I beg you

It definitely needs a Season 2 . Even though all the characters are all not likeable i really hate Mook the most like she helped free Pao when he was locked up for trying to kill them and that lead to many of the people dying but at the last when professor came to take Ning and Non , she ran and infected Non with the Auntie 's blood which will turn him into a zombie . Like I was so angry and sad at the same time 😡😭 . I was watching with my sister's and cried at that part . At the last clip they showed Non tied up to a chair and there was many zombies surrounding him . I actually cried like full on cry 😭😭😭 Was this review helpful to you?

Watched it for the aesthetics, not the story
I watched this drama because of its high ratings and beautiful posters — but after finishing it, I honestly regret it 😩. I only completed it because I had already downloaded all the episodes and used a lot of my data, so I didn’t want it to go to waste.🌸 The basic stuff (so you know what I watched)
It’s set in the Song dynasty and follows Zhao Pan’er and two other women who go to the capital and build a restaurant/teahouse business together. The cast includes Liu Yifei (Pan’er) and Chen Xiao, and the drama focuses a lot on female friendship, business, and social struggles rather than nonstop action.
✅ What worked (for others… and a little for me too)
I can admit the visuals are stunning 🌸 — the costumes, sets, and whole Song dynasty atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Every frame looks refined and artistic (and yeah, reviewers from Tumblr, ElizabethTai.com, and Chasing Dramas also praised this).
The drama focuses on a strong female lead, Zhao Pan’er, who rises from humble beginnings and builds her own business 💪. That’s refreshing compared to the usual palace-intrigue or fantasy-heavy dramas. I really loved this part about her.
It also highlights female solidarity — Pan’er, Song Yin Zhang, and Sun San Niang helping each other survive in a male-dominated world. That sisterhood theme was nice to see, even though I didn’t personally connect with those two characters much.
The script also tries to explore topics like justice, class prejudice, and women’s independence, not just romance or fighting. It’s clear they wanted to make something with depth.
❌ What disappointed me (and honestly, frustrated me)
The pacing was painfully slow 🐢. Many people called it a “slow burn,” but for me, it was just slow. The story started fine, then lost energy completely. Every episode felt stretched, and it was hard to stay interested.
The main couple — sorry, but I didn’t feel anything. 💔
People said they had mature chemistry, but I only felt boredom when they were together. No spark, no emotion, nothing beautiful or wow. I’m not a fan of either lead, but still, I expected more feelings between them.
The business plot, which could have been exciting, felt repetitive. They open a teahouse, face problems, talk business… yet it’s still dull. The restaurant scenes weren’t engaging, and the customers’ dialogue often felt meaningless.
As for the side characters: Yin Zhang was just too foolish for me 🙄, and San Niang didn’t have any charm either. Their subplots were weak and didn’t add much to the main story.
There were no good-looking male characters, no great action scenes, and no “wow” moments at all. For a drama that was so hyped, I honestly don’t understand why.
🎯 Why it probably got high ratings (even if I disagree)
I can see why some people loved it. It’s different from typical costume dramas — no fantasy, no over-the-top martial arts, but more grounded realism. It focuses on female empowerment and social messages, and critics admired that.
Also, the production quality is top-tier 🎥. The sets, costumes, and cinematography are gorgeous. And of course, Liu Yifei’s popularity helped it gain attention. So, from a “quality” viewpoint, it’s understandable why it got high ratings — just not from my taste.
💬 My honest feelings
For me, it was just boring. I expected something emotionally moving or exciting, but instead, it gave me subtle emotions and slow pacing. Maybe that’s the style they aimed for, but it didn’t suit what I enjoy in dramas.
I prefer when there’s either a strong romance, powerful chemistry, or thrilling tension — something that keeps me hooked. This one had none of that. So even though it’s well-made, it simply didn’t connect with me.

Worth a watch - found this when I was searching for another Liu Xue Yi's drama
LIKEPang Hong Mei is impulsive cannot wait to analyse before acting
When the analysts presented a whole lot of nonsense as they found out someone evesdropping - hilarious
Doctor Bai really driving everyone crazy lol
Ji Dan Yang and Pang Hong Mei - love their constant bickering
The charming Ji Dan Yang who always making girls around him having butterflies
Screenwriter probably wrote millions of sabotages but not enough to fit into 38 episodes
Every single destroys out there you could think of lol cannot believe my eyes
A lot of sacrifices in experimenting submarine building
This entire drama is so happening lol

everything about Singsalatai has been great!
"Singsalatai” has completely exceeded my expectations! From the very first episode, it’s clear this isn’t just another series... it’s an experience! Every scene pulls you in... from the atmosphere to the emotions and you can feel how much heart went into it...
Pooh is incredible here. You can see his growth so vividly! the way he carries emotion through his eyes, his restraint, and how naturally he becomes the character. He’s no longer just acting! he’s embodying! It’s raw, believable, and deeply moving.
And then there’s PAVEL! Honestly, this role fits him like a second skin. He balances strength and vulnerability so beautifully. The emotional depth he brings out in his scenes, especially beside Pooh, makes their chemistry undeniable!
The push-and-pull between them feels real, intense and yet tender, and every shared look says more than words could....
Together, PoohPavel prove again why they’re such a powerful duo! their synergy isn’t just chemistry, it’s trust and understanding that elevate every moment they share onscreen.
The directing, cinematography, and sound all deserve praise too! everything feels so intentional, every detail crafted to draw you deeper into their world.
“Singsalatai” is haunting, emotional, and beautifully done. It’s a story that lingers... and both Pooh and Pavel delivered performances that I’ll be thinking about for a long time!
"It’s just the first episode and I am already like this but I trust they will pull it off till the end!"
for the first time in my life... i am rating a show
and that's just shows how intrigued and satisfied I am!

One to watch regardless if you like BL or not
There is only one episode so far, but this series is already a success, not even because of numbers, just because you can see in every scene, every detail, every shot, every sound, every line, there is effort put into it. There were two years of planning on how to make this series perfect, and filming happened on a crazy schedule, long hours and daily, and you can SEE the effort of the actors on delivering the scenes incredibly. The theme score for this is amazing and conveys the vibe of the series, not to mention its sung by Pooh and Pavel, the main actors, themselves. I urge anyone who is NOT into BL or does NOT know Pooh and Pavel’s acting: GIVE THIS A TRY. This is unlike any other one. This is horror. This is Crime investigation drama, and this is slow budding romance. Absolute 10/10 score. Was this review helpful to you?

When Love Meets Forensics A Crime BL Masterpiece
I am completely speechless. Since The Sign in 2023, there hasn’t been a proper police BL series, and finally we have one that brings everything I love together, police, crime, and forensic investigation. Goddess Bless You from Death is an absolute masterpiece. Even better, both Pavel and Pooh return and deliver such incredible performances that I couldn’t look away for a second. This series is everything I have ever wanted in a BL. The crime scenes are chilling, the ghosts are terrifying, and every moment keeps me on edge. The pacing is sharp, the music builds tension perfectly, and the visuals are dark and cinematic. It captures the essence of mystery and horror while still giving space for emotion and connection.
Pavel shines as Officer Singha, the tough but rational cop, while Pooh as Thup brings depth and vulnerability through his ability to see ghosts. Their chemistry feels magnetic, growing stronger with each encounter, and I cannot wait to see their relationship evolve.
This is easily one of my favorite BLs of the year. It is thrilling, emotional, and beautifully made.

Psychological Escape Room Jumanji
It's nice to see teen drama tackle other dramatic instances that can occur other than anything that sexualizes them. Topics such as being a scumbag politician and reckoning with the existential horror of time passing by without you.A lot of the games are battles of wits and wills between the clever and the devious. At least even the bully kids have some kind of conscience to save Mark and they weren't wrong to expose Mamay for her fraudulent election. She had to make a choice and chose to become the person she was pretending to be. Aom's story is the most tragic, having sacrificed herself to save her friends, she missed out on 30 years of time with her parents, one of whom passed away before she's able to return. The dice was found where Pan left her notes after a decade of searching, so the dice only chose to appear when it wanted to. It also seems to want to collect souls. Sumat is very smart, but in the moment he didn't think to be specific in his wish for the souls to return and poor Aom is trapped again. It's kind of funny that Mark is dating Pie, but he clearly is crushing a bit on Aom too, who turns out to be basically his auntie with her being his mom's childhood bestie. There are plot threads that remain dangling like Don's huge monetary debt and of course Aom's trapped soul by the end with conclusion left open to continuation, but if it never gets another season then it's pretty dark.

The lead chemistry is top tier
Stumbled on them and watched the series with no expectations but they wowed me with the story, actors, acting and above all the lead’s chemistry. I will say these actors will do great things and go places. I hope the series wins awards. This is a good watch tune in.I love thup’s eyes a lot and police officer singha’s cranky yet caring nature. This is a perfect blend 😂
