Not Perfect, But Still a Good Time
My Dear Gangster Oppa has a pretty cool concept that instantly caught my attention. One of the things I really appreciated was the inclusion of gamer representation, especially the MOBA kind. As someone who used to play mobile games online, that part really hit home and made the characters feel more relatable.MeenPing definitely carry the show with their chemistry. I have to say, I really like Guy (Ping) in this; he’s such a sweetie and brings a warm charm to his role that makes it easy to root for him.
That said, not all the characters were enjoyable. Guy’s friend, for example… whew. His obsession with Guy was way over the top and honestly just annoying. He really tested my patience every time he appeared.
Now, I’ve always been a sucker for mafia/gang-themed stories, so I was excited to see how this one would play out. Unfortunately, the mafia angle here felt kind of shallow. The fighting scenes weren’t convincing, and the overall gangster storyline didn’t have the depth or grit I usually look for in this genre.
Visually, though, the show is a treat. The cinematography is amazing, with beautiful shots, great lighting, and overall polished production.
As for the side couple… yeah, they didn’t work for me. There was no spark between them, and the pairing just felt forced.
On the bright side, the villain Kenji was surprisingly effective. He got under my skin in all the right ways, so props to the actor for really selling that role.
Despite its flaws, My Dear Gangster Oppa still managed to keep me entertained from start to finish. It’s not perfect, but if you enjoy sweet chemistry, a touch of gamer life, and a sprinkle of mafia drama (even if a bit undercooked), it’s worth a watch.

More Than Just a Romcom
I’ve always had a soft spot for romantic comedies, so when Wandee Goodday came along, I thought I’d give it a shot and honestly, it never disappointed me.From the very beginning, Wandee had me laughing out loud. He’s absolutely hilarious, especially with all the over-the-top flirting and trying-hard attempts to seduce Yoryak. Sure, he’s doing the most, but that’s what makes it so fun and it ends up being the perfect way for the two of them to really get to know each other.
Also, can we talk about Wandee’s grandmother for a sec? She’s an absolute queen. Cool, sassy, and effortlessly iconic.
Whoever cast Thor and Great as brothers deserves a major raise because they genuinely look like siblings. They can passed as twins. The resemblance is uncanny and adds such a natural dynamic to their scenes together.
This series doesn't shy away from spice either; there are many NC scenes, and while they’re definitely hot, they’re handled in a way that feels intimate rather than purely lustful. It’s a nice balance that adds to the chemistry between the leads rather than taking away from the story.
Speaking of representation, I really appreciate the way the show touches on asexuality. It’s rare to see that explored, especially in a genre that’s usually all about the physical side of love.
The chemistry between Great and Inn? Off the charts. Every scene between them feels alive, whether it’s sweet, sexy, or emotionally charged.
Production-wise, it’s top-notch. The visuals are clean and crisp, and everything from lighting to set design feels well thought-out.

My Favourite Drama of 2025
I can't lie, I only started watching this because I heard it's a GL... I'm not disappointed though because the story got me soo hooked I stayed till the end 💗 The first 11 episodes were absolute perfection and I would not give them a rating below 9, it slightly went downhill later, I felt like the plot was too thick and there was not enough time to convey all of this into ~30 minute episodes... Sometimes it felt like some fragments were cut off from the episode so it was hard for me to catch up. Also I think they went slightlyyy overboard with Jei's dad's character, because him erasing Jena's memory was weird 😭 The last episode was a total saver for me, the ending was AMAZING!!One thing I'd like to praise is the characters - I absolutely loved their backstories ❤ All of them got screen time so it was not just Jei and Seulgi all the time, but also Gyung and Yeri (I adore them so much).
I'll definitely be rewatching sometime soon 💘 A shame we didn't get a reunion but I'm glad all the characters got their happy ending <33

The drama is a masterpiece— so that I don’t even know where to begin.
The story: It's one of the most complex and intertwined plots I’ve ever seen, yet everything leads to a single point. It’s like a tangled mess of threads that all turn out to be part of the same string once you unravel it. What is good? What is evil? What’s right and what’s wrong? These questions will keep spinning in your head the whole time you’re watching. And by the end, it feels like you've been slapped in the face—in a way that makes you rethink life from the ground up. Despite the heavy themes, the events are both engaging and painful at the same time. But still, I couldn’t stop. After every episode, I just had to know what would happen next—no boredom at all.
The character connections in this drama are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Almost every character is linked in one way or another, with different kinds of relationships. This gave the story so many moments that explored human connections—their depth, their beauty, and their flaws—which made the whole thing feel incredibly real and emotionally powerful.
Character development: Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji in particular had phenomenal character arcs. Each of them stayed true to their own path and values, and through supporting each other in both good times and bad, they grew and shined even more. At a certain point, their relationship evolved into a deep mutual understanding, making the second half of the drama feel like a masterclass in human connection—mixed with a bittersweet sense of regret that came before that growth.
Cinematography and direction: It was good but not perfect. The drama had a low budget and weak CGI, especially since it’s not a recent production. But the strength of the story and the professionalism of the actors—especially the leads—more than made up for it.
Music: The soundtrack still lives in my heart. Every time I hear it, it’s like the whole show flashes before my eyes like a beautiful dream.
Flaws:
The first few episodes can be tough and confusing, especially for viewers new to this genre. Some of the supporting actors didn’t do a great job and occasionally pulled you out of the experience.

damn...that was so fcking good
so I didn't have much hope going into this because its a relatively short series having only 17 episdoes that are about 20ish minutes long but the storyline ate and left no crumbs at all. I also loved the ending a lot, I was scared I would hate it and it would end up to be a bad ending which would've been super annoying because the other episodes were fire, but the ending did not disappoint in my opinion.Lowkey will probably re-watch it

Worth watching, yet do not expect too much.
It could have been very good if the writer would have dare to be less exaggerating with the R+J type story. Additionally, 20 and 8 seem to be randomly chosen numbers, a bit of thinking or of life experience would have been beneficial. I wonder if nobody reads critically the script? Yet he actors are great and the OST memorable. In short: it is worth watching, but do not expect too much of it.Was this review helpful to you?

Watch It For The Cast
I think the story in itself was beautiful enough except for the cliches. Arthur did a great job at portraying the various emotions. His eyes were enough to convey all that Gan Yang felt. The rest of the cast did well too with sizzling chemistry. Zhitong i think could've been acted in a better way. If every time she pushed Yang away, she had included micro expressions of dilemna, this would've been more relatable. Overall, she was a great character who just did not want to be dependent on anyone and her love for Gan Yang was evident for all those times she was ready to throw it all away for him even towards the end. She was admirable enough. Gan Yang too acted as most boyfriends do even in real life when they think they cannot give their gfs what they deserve as most males have provider mindset. But he did his best to win her back towards the end. Overall the other couples were brilliant in their own ways.I just wish FL's reasons to push the ML away were shown in earlier episodes
Overall i love this drama for showing a different side of Arthur, different from Li Xun.

Did not expect a lot from this series.
Finally finished watching this after dragging on for a week. This was the most anticipated Kdrama of the year for me, and maybe due to over expectations, I ended up with mixed feelings. The drama is driven by two parallel factors. One is the main storyline that deals with tech entrepreneurship - which to me, is very welcome & indeed is a refreshing concept. The other has to do with the personal side of each characters - obviously with the addition of typical dramatic clichés, & that disappoints.

Misery with a side of Love
If you're into dramatic dramas with villains and unbelievable twists with some toxic romance that ends well and don't mind watching something a bit dated then this is for you.At first I thought this was going to be amazing coming from watching nice man from 2013 I can say this was much better. similar storyline but written so much better with a more redemptive characters.
what I liked:
-the male lead was almost a step ahead of everyone. he was understanding and steadfast in his love instead of flacky and febble.
-the female lead was strong but allowed herself to be weak sometimes. I love the feminine give and take that was going on.
the OST was awesome.
-the clues were nicely put together and didn't feel messy with no crazy amnesi or something stupid like that.
-it was balanced well with her being a mom and a woman in love at the same time. -sometimes one takes precisence but not this time.
-the characters got to grow and go through some amazing development.
-their chemistry was great when they let themselves get into it.
-it was worth the wait to see them fall for me.
-it left a smile on my face.
what I didn't enjoy as much:
-not enough love scenes of both characters just loving and enjoying each other.
-love scenes came too late in the game, like episode 12, and they were far and in between all the problems.
-the happy ending was way too short and abruptly cut to credits. wish we could have seen them together for longer as a reward for making them go through so much.
-the criminals got redemption arcs ( they were so horrible I wanted them to rot)
Overall great dramatic melodrama where the characters were not completely insane and no crazy unbelievable plot twist like double or triple amnesia. and the love made sense and so did the breakups. where the couple were sincire and smart and made smart decisions most of the times. so yes I'd recommend it.

Just my insight
This drama completely stole my heart. When the Camellia Blooms isn’t just a love story—it’s about strength, community, and how even the quietest people can be incredibly brave. Gong Hyo-jin as Dong-baek was so touching. You can’t help but root for her the whole time. And Kang Ha-neul? He was adorable and genuine—probably one of the most lovable male leads I’ve seen in a while! What I loved most is how real it felt. The drama showed the struggles of being a single mom in a small town, but also balanced it so well with romance and mystery. The mix of warmth and suspense kept me hooked from beginning to end. Even the side characters were memorable and felt like real people.
It made me laugh, cry, and smile so many times. Truly a beautiful story that stays with you even after it ends. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something emotional, heartwarming, and meaningful.

Bad Buddy Made Me a BL Fan, Period
Okay, I know I’m super late to the party, but I finally watched Bad Buddy, and now I get why everyone’s been raving about it. It’s totally worth the hype. This was actually my first Thai BL series, and it immediately hooked me. It became my gateway into the world of BLs (and now I can’t stop watching, lol). One thing I realized: I’m definitely a sucker for enemies-to-lovers tropes, and Bad Buddy delivers that so well.
The storyline is a perfect mix of drama, romance, comedy, and a dash of action, never a dull moment. I loved watching Pran and Pat’s relationship grow, especially all the sneaking around behind their friends' backs. It added just the right amount of tension and humor.
Also, can we talk about OhmNanon’s chemistry? They were so natural together. You can really feel the connection and emotion in their scenes. It didn’t feel forced at all, they were just that good.
Overall, the writing was solid and consistent from start to finish. It’s funny, heartfelt, and truly well-done. Honestly, I wish I had watched this sooner, but better late than never!

Enjoyable but Somewhat Overrated
I would rate this 7.8 or 7.9The 2nd half of the series was better than the first overall, but I don't get why it has such a high rating since its really.. not THAT great, although I liked the latter half a lot more. What threw me off was just a lot of weirdly placed quick scenes/random music/unnecessarily dramatic moments and random falling for half the show. I cant say I absolutely loved it. I feel like someone in the production crew really didn't know what they were doing with the music especially in certain scenes.
That said, there were definitely some great scenes acting-wise, sweet intimate scenes, and I liked the character development. The part I liked the most was the really tall soft and calm guy x shorter more chaotic guy dynamic.

Using famous characters
Subject: Initial Reaction to "Love in the Pavilion" Trailer and Early StorylineHaving recently come across the trailer for "Love in the Pavilion" on Instagram, I felt compelled to share my initial reaction to what I've seen. The visual presentation and the overall atmosphere hinted at an engaging story, and I was certainly drawn in by the premise. However, a particular element within the trailer and, seemingly, the beginning of the narrative has left me with a somewhat conflicted impression.
The trailer prominently featured an actor who is, without a doubt, one of my favorites. Their presence is often a significant draw for me, and I was excited to see them involved in "Love in the Pavilion." Therefore, it was quite jarring and frankly disappointing to witness what appears to be the abrupt death of this character right at the outset of the story.
While I understand that impactful plot twists and unexpected turns can be crucial for a compelling narrative, the early demise of a character portrayed by a well-known and typically leading actor feels somewhat counterintuitive. Often, when performers of such stature are cast, there's an inherent expectation of their significant involvement and development throughout the series or film. To introduce such a figure and then seemingly eliminate them so quickly can feel like a misdirection, potentially alienating viewers who tuned in primarily due to their admiration for that specific actor. It creates a sense that their star power was used merely as a hook, rather than an integral part of the ongoing story.
Nevertheless, despite this initial disappointment, my curiosity about the overarching narrative of "Love in the Pavilion" persists. I intend to continue watching, hoping to understand the narrative purpose behind this early development and to see how the story progresses with the remaining characters and plot threads.
From my perspective, it's a point worth considering for future productions: the strategic use of prominent actors who are typically associated with main roles. Employing them for very short periods, especially in a manner that leads to an early exit, can be a somewhat frustrating experience for dedicated fans. It can create a feeling of unmet expectations and a sense that their

Too Many Characters, Too Little Plot
I gave Perfect 10 Liners a shot because of the high ratings and all the hype, but honestly, it didn’t work for me.Yes, the show is light and funny in parts, but I had to **drop it halfway** through. The **huge cast and multiple couples** made it super overwhelming. I don’t mind ensemble series (*We Are* pulled it off beautifully), but here it just felt crowded and hard to follow. There are just *too many faces and too little substance*.
The **episodes are long**, and a lot of scenes felt like filler. It was dragging without really going anywhere, and I kept asking myself, “Where is this story even headed?”
Plot-wise? **Pretty standard**. Another university BL with engineering students, a cheesy setup, and **nothing new to offer**. I really hope future shows give us something fresh, maybe BLs set in law school or forensic science, just for a change.
Also, **ForceBook’s chemistry felt off** to me in this one. I love them individually, but together here it felt a bit... forced. Like, the emotional pull just wasn’t there.
In the end, the show didn’t have enough plot, uniqueness, or strong pairing to keep me hooked. Just not my thing.

OMG! Vampires? More Like OMG, I’m Out
Okay, I really tried to give OMG! Vampires a chance, but… nope. I had to drop it. 😬First off, the acting was just too cringeworthy for me. Not trying to be harsh, but it felt over-the-top in the worst way, and the comedic timing didn’t land at all. Like, if you're going to do campy vampire comedy, at least make it funny. This one just felt lame and awkward.
The concept didn’t help either. I mean, I’m totally into vampire stories, but is this one? Not for me. I expected something dark, mysterious, or at least fun in a quirky way. But instead, it felt like a parody that didn’t even commit to being a parody. Vampires are supposed to be scary or sexy… or both. Not just… meh.
And don’t get me started on the "vampire community" setting. It just looked and felt so fake, like they slapped it together last-minute. I couldn't suspend my disbelief for a second.
Long story short, I dropped it because I was bored, confused, and mildly embarrassed while watching. It’s just not my kind of vampire vibe.
