It's way too overhyped

Like the story had potential but it's like a student wrote it or something. Very basic and it feels low budget. Also the whole relationship is just toxic and I don't get it why no-one is talking about the AGEGAP? Like Tong is 20 and Mark is like hundreds years old. It creeps me out... So i got bored of the mc and was/is? rooting for neo's couple if it exists.

BITTERSWEET GOODBYE

Gameboys 2 picks up where the first season left off, with Gavreel and Cairo now living together and honestly, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions all over again. The chemistry between Gav and Cai is still just as intense and real, and some of their scenes like the movie night feel super romantic in a lowkey, natural way. The bed scene? Tastefully done and genuinely passionate. You can really tell they’re comfortable with each other.

But it’s not all sweet moments. The series doesn’t shy away from tougher themes, like homophobia, especially with Gav’s aunt causing some major emotional tension. It adds depth, even if it’s hard to watch at times.

One thing I absolutely loved was the side crew—Pearl, Wesley, Terrence, and Achilles. Their friendship brings warmth and balance to the series. It’s great seeing those bonds grow alongside the main story.

Now, fair warning, the ending is bittersweet. If you're only here for the happily ever after, this might not be your thing. But if you appreciate a series that mixes romance, real struggles, and deep emotion, Gameboys 2 is worth the watch.

SHORT BUT CUTE

This was a super short OffGun film, but I really enjoyed it! I honestly wish it was longer. I am a fan of Offgun work and I watched all of the series and I never skip this. 😂 The concept of this series is a relationship between a human and an alien it is funny and refreshingly unique. Visually, it’s so well done too. I especially loved Off’s vintage house, it gave the whole thing a warm, homey vibe. And Gun as the curious and clueless alien? Absolutely adorable, he totally stole the show! I highly recommend this.

A Captivating and Visually Stunning Journey with Heartfelt Characters

A captivating cdrama that offers an intriguing story with multiple arcs and a range of interesting characters. Besides the main couple, there are several other subplots involving different couples that add depth to the narrative. The costumes, music, and cinematography are all top-notch, creating a visually stunning experience. The CGI, in particular, is spectacular and adds an extra layer of magic to the fantasy elements of the show.

The pacing is generally fast, with most conflicts resolving quickly, which means there’s not a lot of drawn-out angst. This is especially nice considering the mature nature of the lead characters. Their relationship is refreshing in that it avoids too much melodrama, and while there are tragic moments, it’s a beautiful and moving journey.

The ending is satisfying—positive and hopeful—but doesn’t fall into the trap of a cheesy, overly-sweet conclusion. It's more grounded, leaving you with a sense of closure without undermining the story’s emotional depth.

Overall, I highly recommend this drama for anyone looking for a well-crafted, visually gorgeous show with strong characters and a refreshing pace. It’s definitely worth the watch!

WHAT? THE GHOST HAS A CAMEO IN ITS OWN HORROR !? Haha

Like the other two in this Anthology, even this is a mix of Two Genres - Crime Mystery Thriller + Horror.
(More of a Thriller than a Horror)

Plot is Very Good n Very Interesting but Execution n Everything has gone wrong.

The least interesting one in this Anthology, While the other two are Very Good, Unique n refreshing to watch & so expected the same level from this.
Highly Disappointed!

***** WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
I really Liked 1st miniseries n Admire 2nd one in this Anthology and was shocked to see this to be very bad n not upto the level of the other two.

(Watched the 4 episodes, 30 mins each Version)

The major complaint about this miniseries is PACING.
It's very slow, boring n a lot of Repetitive content.
Initially, Sloth-Paced to build the base of the story n to introduce the characters.
And even after, 80% of the run time (almost 3 eps out of 4), the concentration is still on building the base to the story, without any further Progression in the plot.

Instead of 4 eps, this could have been done better in 2-3 eps.

***
Direction, Pacing n Story progression are bad.

Camera effects & lighting in haunting or mystery scenes are a NO, horrible :/

Everything n in every category, this is terrible.

***
Even the Ghost faces (whether FL's hallucinations or true haunting or the pranks by her students) are terrible.

It's a 2020 series, better CGI is in reach to the film makers these days :/

***
Even BGM in the horror scenes, is loud n bad.
Bad Jump Scares.

***
The ending, the last episode is rushed to conclude the story.

Spoilt a good potential story n the talent of the cast.
Oops for being harsh, maybe, If this is directed by the ones of the other 2 in this anthology, even this miniseries would be excellent in all categories .

***** WHAT I LIKED:
Initially, there is a story build up that everything is done by some vengeful spirit, identity unknown, haunting the characters n so, it's purely horror vibes.

Here the Suspense about below, is Interesting:
1) About the ghost's identity.

2) Whether FL's parents are mentally disturbed n have hallucinations all the time or really they are experiencing ghost haunting n are possessed.

3) Whether all the haunting experiences of FL are a true haunting or just her hallucinations bcz of her trauma or not a haunting but done by someone around her.

Later, the story turns like most of the crimes are done by humans n not the ghost (Predictable )
So, the story of pure Horror turned into a complete Crime Thriller , haha

The real ghost haunting is in the climax (for few minutes only :o )
So by the end, the Story is a Mix of Two Genres - Crime thriller n Horror .

These subtle Twists n Turns are good.

The Story is Well Written like an Intertwined Stories of Crime Mystery and Horror .

Every character looks suspicious bcz of this suspense n twists (I suspected everyone 😂)

This Mystery n Suspense is maintained well but Very Slow Story progression n too many Repetitions of the same point, made it uninteresting.

***
This is not a High School setting like the other 2 in this anthology.
It's a haunted house setting with high school students and teachers involved.

Whatever happened to the FL's family and everyone is bad n sad :(

This is A SAD STORY OF STRUGGLE TO SURVIVE IN THIS WORLD OF COMPETITION N SELFISHNESS! :( Fighting against the selfishness n greed of people and to the extent how they would go to make people go insane n ruin families, to favour themselves.

School Bullying, cheating, fraud, dirty politics in an educational institution, unacceptable personal favours etc are depicted here, which are sad.

Overall, The Story is Excellent and the Actors performed very well.
(Me, No complaints or no Ranting about these, haha)

***
Narration is Good .
The past n present of FL are depicted back n forth, almost like one scene of present n the next is one from past.

Present story is narrated by FL n the Past is narrated by her dad.

***
Cinematography is good at times but mostly bad.

Locations are beautiful
Production, Screenplay are good enough.

***
Finally, There is no loose end left out.
By the end, every point has been given a clarity (but rushed to explain in just 1-2 mins only in finale ep :o)

In the end, everyone received whatever they deserve.
Only sad that the school gal took an unnecessary punishment to atone on behalf of her family n for the sin of ruining the FL's family

***** WHAT I FOUND FUNNY:
The Ghost has a Cameo appearance in its own horror movie !? :o What? 😂

This is promoted as a horror n just for that sake n not to disappoint horror genre lovers, looks like, a ghost character is given a minor role here, haha.
U can actually see the real ghost haunting for just 4 mins in ep 4 :o 🤭

It would be better, if this is made as a sad family drama + crime thriller, instead of including horror elements .

***
U can see Narration (of past by FL's dad) in another Narration (of present by FL).

***
FL's dad n her colleague, those actors are handsome. Except seeing their handsome faces, there's nothing else to watch or rewatch this ;)
(I'm being sarcastic here!)

***
Everyone is Suspicious at the beginning,
Everyone is Crazy half way n
Everyone (except FL) RIP by the end :o 😂

*****
My RATING is 7 / 10
(Bcz of Bad Execution.
Would be 9 for the Plot)

Watched it, just to finish this Anthology of 3 miniseries.

If one can tolerate the Sloth-Paced story progression, can give a try for the interesting story or to pass the time.

This show is ridiculously absurd

At first I only watched this because men’s health and all that, but as the show progressed, I realized that this entire show is bullshit. The title of this show is definitely appropriate, cause people in this show are definitely screwed up in the head. one male lead, Hongyo, completely forgot how he took advantage of Terada when they were young, and now he’s f*cking doing it again. how nice it must be for him to have selective memory loss. 😌The second male lead told Terada to her face that he doesn’t see her as anything special, that’s she’s basic as hell, and he only wants to marry her to use her as a means to an end. the men in this show are shallow, sexist and manipulative as f*ck, avoid this show at all costs.

a hero to people that matters

I just finished ep40, cried so badly.

I think this show has quite a good balance of political and the slow burn romance. in addition, the political setup was not boring and flows very consistently.

i felt this has to be one of RJL’s best works in recent years after One and Only. he’s just brilliant in historical dramas.

I love Wei Zhao. his character is layered and complex. from a villain, to a hero (to Yueluo and his close comrades), he went through A LOT. he went through physical and emotional hurdles, had to face his enemy everyday, always be alert, help the Yueluo slaves, this guy didn’t rest at all. like Yu Lian said, he’s someone who doesn’t feel pain at all. he’s numb to it. it’s saddening to see a young promising guy like him endured such a life.

I thought his death served the purpose. because he fought all his life for one thing - to free Yueluo from all the slavery and policies put on them. he learnt from his father that ultimately it’s protecting the lives of people in Yueluo that matters the most.

Ci is the light to his darkness. a light that shines on the path he took so he wouldn’t be lonely. she’s always there for him. never left. Ci is smart and independent, and she’s also emotionally strong. she lost people in her life yet she’s resilient living her life.

Pei Yan is such a interesting character BUT why the show wasted on him being love brain most of the time? him working together with Wei Zhao was one of his best highlights and him siding with Yueluo, is just so amazing!

overall it was a really nice show.

Immortal Samsara—My All-time favourite Fantasy Romance Drama. this will be a spoiler-free review.

The main plot is strong and full of twists. Just because it’s a romance doesn’t mean they threw in a random story and expected us to fangirl over the leads and a their fluffy scenes.

The female lead, Yan Dan is gorgeous, strong, smart, and talented. She speaks normally (no fake baby voice or clinginess), and she supports the male leads—she’s not constantly fainting into their arms or being helpless. Honestly, she's one of the best FLs I’ve ever seen: such a perfect balance of soft and strong. Compared to her, the male leads feel like the ones who need help sometimes😂 , yang zi did a great job portraying her role.

The second male lead loves her, sure, but he never annoys her with his feelings. He doesn’t get jealous or act petty toward the main lead. Instead, he respects both of them and handles things like a mature adult—not like the dramatic, toxic guys we usually get in these shows. Seriously, major respect.

The drama really focuses on what I love most: relationships and how we value them. It shows the love between siblings—Yan Dan and her sister's bond made me cry so much—and also love for parents (whether biological or not), mentors, friends who become like family… every kind of relationship, with both its good and painful sides. It's all there.

The side couples aren’t just filler—they actually show different, often heartbreaking 😭 love stories. The drama doesn’t sugarcoat romance or pretend it’s always beautiful; it really explores its darker, more painful sides too.

The locations and visuals are breathtaking. I could spend hours just staring at the walls, the curtains, the furniture, the costumes… each look is more stunning than the last. And don’t even get me started on the hair accessories 🥺✨🥺✨🥺✨🥺✨ Pure visual therapy. 💖💖

The soundtrack? Absolutely beautiful. Not a single annoying song. I’m adding them all to my Spotify and preparing myself to cry every time one comes on, because they all remind me of this show 😭🤧

I haven’t even talked about the main lead yet— A lot of people say Ying Yuan is just another cold, arrogant, overused type that girls fall for—but honestly? That’s just not true. From the very first scene, he was kind, funny, and never once looked down on Yan Dan. He appreciated her intelligence, played chess with her, and even when she made mistakes early on, he didn’t punish her harshly—they were literally playing together. Despite his high status and heavy responsibilities, he never lashed out or pressured anyone. He carried everything quietly and kept his emotions buried, but he still expressed them when he was alone. He was a real man—to his friends, followers, and everyone around him. Stubborn and self-sacrificing, sure… but honestly? Perfect husband. Perfect dad. Perfect boss/leader.

Cheng Yi truly outdid himself in this drama. He didn’t just play three characters—he became three completely different people.

Ying Yuan was calm, strict, and full of inner conflict—constantly torn between duty and love. You could see the love he was hiding in his heart just by looking into his eyes. It was like they were mirrors reflecting everything he felt inside. And those real tears… they hit so hard. Every scene where his heart was breaking—when he had to leave Yan Dan, when she misunderstood him, when she refused to come back to him—he made you feel every moment. I was shattered.

Then there’s Tang Zhou, the complete opposite. Open, kind, playful, and full of life—living freely among humans, far from the rules of the heavens. It felt like he was a totally different person, with no connection to Ying Yuan at all. That range?? Insane.

And finally, Xuan Ye. I don’t even need to say much—his story speaks for itself. He wasn’t just a “Demon Lord.” Even with the few episodes he had, Cheng Yi still managed to convey all the pain and struggle that shaped him. He made you understand him, even as a villain.

Even though the drama had over 60 episodes—and yeah, there were a few moments I didn’t like—and even though there were two endings (the original one and the extra episode ending), the depth of the story and how unique and well-written the characters were honestly made it easy to overlook those small flaws. I ended up really enjoying the entire journey, every single detail of it.

And in the end, I just want to say this:
Love—with all its beauty and pain—is hard, it’s heavy, and it’s also incredibly beautiful.
To find someone who truly loves you and accepts you as you are… that’s one of life’s most priceless treasures.
And the people around us who support us—our family, our friends—they’re the most beautiful part of life.

Yoon Shiyoon is the cutest actor ever! I love how he's not afraid to show 'ugly' expressions. His character is so memeable and stupid i love it hahah. I didn't expect I was gonna love this drama so much.

At first i thought it was pure mystery/drama but it's more of a comedy/mystery. I laughed my ass off most of the time and it was such a food for stress. This kdrama healed me.

Also I would actually watch more of the actor's works cause damn he did such a great job. Wondering why it's not more popular! Most of the plot r quite unrealistic but hey it's a light watch so don't take it very seriously when watching this.
Just think of it as good entertainment, cause it's funny as heck and I love how they referenced a lot of horror classics.

Overall it's really good, Yoon Siyoon hard-carried the series. I REALLY REALLY love the script it's so unique and interesting. Gets me invested to see what happens next. I couldn't help but click on the 'next episode' button over and over again.

Great Drama. My View of What Happened to the two couples. FL / ML, President and Hongmei

I came here to watch Sun Li after bingeing on her recent dramas. But what I got was multiple folds of satisfaction and delight.

Acting
There is nothing more to say about Sun Li. She is the Queen of C drama. Every main character is a class A act. So good, small gestures or not, each emotion is played to perfection. Even the smaller role like the loan shark Cui, he gave me the goosebumps when he threatens the ML. I was actually scared. Special mention is the President. He is so subtle and good and you will grow to see his charms and understand why a woman would find him attractive. It’s not the title or money alone. It’s the man. Mark Chao as ML looks a little youthful for FL Sun Li. Physically he looks great with He Yao. That’s the only blip. But in the end you do need these two great actors to be the couple. ML is super charming. He is not the typical fair and made up pretty face. He is tan, no fancy makeup but he has great haircut, superb posture, great dressing, cute grin and a sense of masculinity that keeps you focusing on him.

Story
It’s a realistic portrayal of office politics and bullying. The FL also experiences the difficulties of a corporate female who wants to be taken seriously for her talents in an industry dominated by men. Also realistic is the fact that the only woman in the management team is the HR Director. I vouch for this as I lived through the FL‘s experience to rise to the C level. I ended up reliving the journey I went through. So I can say this is very well told!

Ending
Unfortunately the ending was rushed and two important matters weren’t explicitly explained.
1) Did ML and FL get back together. My take is, they finally ended up on the same side and both are satisfied that they have achieved this without compromising their own principles which led them to break up in the first place. I think they finally believe that they can pick up their love for each other from where they left off and this time they will be successful. It’s good to see ML never doubted his love and didn’t even give He Yao a chance in spite of the temptation of instant success. Hence he deserves the FL again.

2) FL’s best friend Hongmei and the President. Hongmei is the most annoying character for 38 episodes out of 40 as far as I am concerned. I didn’t understand how the two can be best friends when Hongmei acts like an idiot next to the smartest girl. She can’t speak properly. Acts like she is voiceless. Dresses sloppily as an HR executive when the boss is so polished. Has no opinion at home. Lives a miserable life. The most annoying part is she is so untidy looking. That stupid hairdo. An untidy ponytail to work in a big company and she wonders why is she not as successful as FL. Anyway, in the end (rightly or wrongly) she redeemed herself by walking out on her fiancée who is such an ass. She is right. She lives like a pauper sharing a small flat that has no toilet or bathroom. It’s so dirty and I kept wondering how they do their morning business in the common washroom with multiple tenants like this. Yuks. Yes she ended up with the President, although we don’t know as a mistress or girlfriend (in the case if he has no wife). We don’t know this as there is no mention of a wife. I think what happened was, Hongmei knew President somewhat likes her (perhaps she is the most simple minded person he has around him and it gives him comfort since everyone else is like a shark waiting for his blood. He can be a normal person with her. No need to strategise). She took a chance and took a ride home when he offered (FL was also offered the same ride but declined) and lied that she lives in a nice apartment along his way home. The scene cut to him dropping her off, she figured out how to go back to her slum home …and when she got home and saw what she saw, she packed and left her fiancée. I guess what wasn’t showed was that the President figured out she didn’t live in that nice apartment and offered her a chance to move there if she is willing. She took up that offer after returning home and saw that she has no hope in the fiancée who is useless, unambitious and probably would live in a miserable or slumdog lifestyle forever. The choice she made is quite clear. She had a mighty President who is nice to her. He is not sleazy but just older. Very respected, wise and respectful. The fiancée is indifferent, and not very respectful or attentive and useless.

Overall a great drama. Wish they showed the last two bits as I guessed above. But it’s ok. I think I can live with this imagination instead.

Love Wins All

I absolutely adore this drama. It really resonates with me, and it reminds me so much of two IU songs, Love Wins All and Friday, haha. I’ll dive into why I love it so much in a bit, but first, I want to make one thing clear. This is a slice-of-life drama. Everything that happens feels like everyday life—routine, maybe a small hiccup here and there, but nothing overly dramatic. So, if you’re expecting a fast-paced plot with tons of twists, you might want to skip this one. I totally get why some people find it boring; it’s just not their cup of tea. And that’s fine! But let’s respect those who genuinely enjoy it.
I was scrolling through comments and reviews earlier, and one of them claimed the drama’s high ratings on another platform were from bots or bought with money. Lol, seriously? So, part of why I’m writing this is to say: real people do love this drama. I’m not getting paid to rave about it—if anything, I paid to watch it on the platform! Another thing: the view count for Road Home on Yunhe, which tracks organic online views for dramas in the domestic market, is super impressive—over 40 million views. (For context, plenty of trendy dramas with big-name stars don’t even hit that number.) That shows there’s a solid fanbase for this drama. So yeah, let’s respect different tastes. It might seem bland to some, but it’s far from bad—in fact, it’s special for those of us who vibe with this genre.
Alright, enough of that. Let’s get into the good stuff!

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

In a nutshell, this drama is about two people who were each other’s first love but broke up. Years later, fate brings them back together, and they reconnect, working through small past misunderstandings to build a happy, heartwarming life. If you’re into dramas without complicated misunderstandings or messy love triangles—just pure, natural warmth and sweetness in a mature love story—then you have to watch this. For me, watching this drama feels like curling up on the couch with a blanket in winter, sipping a cozy mug of hot chocolate. It’s soothing, safe, and relaxing. Most importantly, the romance between the main characters doesn’t feel cringey or fake. (I’ve dropped so many hyped-up dramas because the romance felt too forced or plastic, so finding this gem made me genuinely happy.) Oh, and one more thing: the drama has plenty of intimate scenes, and the male lead? Let’s just say he’s a great kisser. So yeah, I’m totally satisfied, lol.

I love how the character Lu Chen is written. He’s loyal, talented at work, and can handle household chores like a pro. But he’s not some perfect guy. His family background is messy, he’s got a bit of a blunt personality, and he’s super quiet—Gui Xiao literally has to nudge him to say more sometimes. I think this makes him feel so real and relatable. In real life, nobody’s perfect.
What’s great is that Jing Bo Ran brings Lu Chen to life so vividly. If an actor doesn’t nail a quiet, stoic character like this, they can easily come off as stiff or boring. I’ve seen it happen in other dramas—honestly, I could name a C-drama right now for comparison if you want, haha—so I know how tricky this role is. Jing Bo Ran does it with these subtle, natural touches: his expressive eyes, small body language cues, all so authentic. It makes Lu Chen feel alive and compelling.
Gui Xiao, the female lead, is an independent, smart woman, but she’s also sensitive and deeply in love. She loves Lu Chen so much, to the point where she’s willing to put up with the challenges of his job affecting their family life. She could easily find a partner who’s always around, keeping her company, instead of waiting weeks or even a month to see her husband. But she chooses Lu Chen. In those moments, I just want to cue IU’s Love Wins All or Friday as the background music, lol. Tan Songyun absolutely nails Gui Xiao’s role—no complaints whatsoever. She’s especially incredible in the emotional scenes, hands-down one of the best young actresses in Cbiz.

A few other things I love about the script: there’s only one short misunderstanding from the past, and it’s resolved gently. In the present, there are no misunderstandings like that. When Gui Xiao’s dad objects to Lu Chen, I was worried it’d turn into some cliché where Lu Chen quietly backs off without telling her. That would’ve been so frustrating. But thank goodness, Lu Chen is resolute and stands firm in his choice. Nothing can stop him and Gui Xiao from being together—it’s their decision, period. There’s a third party that pops up briefly, but it’s a non-issue. Like I said, nothing gets in Lu Chen’s way when it comes to the person he loves, unless Gui Xiao herself calls it quits. This kind of script feels so refreshing.
I absolutely love the dialogue between Lu Chen and Gui Xiao! It’s romantic but not over-the-top cheesy, striking that perfect balance of natural and heartfelt. None of that “domineering CEO” nonsense, no grand vows or dramatic promises—just real. From the character development to the plot and the dialogue, everything ties in beautifully with the slice-of-life vibe of the drama.
And the chemistry between the leads is absolutely incredible. I couldn’t stop smiling during their intimate scenes. Like I mentioned before, Jing Bo Ran is so good in the kissing scenes, so the romantic and intimate moments are honestly a gift from this drama.

The drama’s weak spots mostly come down to the supporting characters. The dialogue in the SWAT team scenes feels like it was lifted straight from a textbook—kind of preachy and not very authentic. But this is a Chinese drama, and I get that they have to tread carefully with anything involving military or political stuff, so I can let it slide. Also, the romantic subplot for the secondary couple isn’t well-developed, but thankfully, it doesn’t take up much screen time. You could skip those parts, and it wouldn’t affect the main storyline at all. Another thing: the family conflict for the male lead is set up nicely but resolved in a rushed, half-hearted way that doesn’t feel real.

All that said, for me, the drama’s strengths far outweigh its flaws. The main romance and the acting—plus the incredible chemistry between the leads—completely steal the show. I was ready to rewatch it the second I finished my first viewing, and I’ll probably watch it again multiple times. This drama has actually made it hard for me to pick another modern C-drama to watch next. I’ve tried a few over the past couple of days, but none of them have the same captivating chemistry or leave the same impression as this one.
Lu Chen, played by Jing Bo Ran, and Gui Xiao, played by Tan Songyun, are hands-down one of my favorite C-drama couples ever.

if you haven’t watched this you better do it now

Lovely runner is definitely my top favorite k-drama of all time. it’s the feeling that everything you want inside you to fulfill. the story, the visuals, the satisfaction of watching it with the cuteness and the romance. same with the little evil stuff in here too
just makes everything to fulfill. i watched this when it came out and i had to wait everyweek. and i have rewatched it alot and i wish i could forget the series just to watch it as a first experience again.

you may find me weird but like the “hero” like series when female gets hurt and male being saved but same the other way. i like series when they go back in time too.

the music i just love it i listened it on repeat after the sries was done and still listening to the ost’s.

and i love the female role and the male very well. and so thankful this drama got released and fullfilled what i was craving if you understand what i mean. 🤭

multiverses left me in in an unknow world

I couldn’t finish it despite my best efforts. this was a good plot just poorly executed is some parts and poor character development.

cliche roles for Boss and Nouel. they are literally playing the same characters as they did in LITA. it’s clear that as actors they have developed however MAMEs stories often leave a lot to be desired. she really romantics toxicity and behaviour in normal society that would be scary and unacceptable. it’s a theme with her she did this with type and tharn, don’t say no etc.

I try to watch each project for it’s on merits but mame makes it hard lol. 😜 Anyway I recommend watching and making your own judgement.

The couple's playful banters were fun to watch

I am going to write a post on Zhang Chu Xuan's dramas so I watched this drama as part of my homework. I am always curious about Yao Guan Yu even though I haven't found his drama enjoyable enough for me to watch repeatedly. Overall I liked this drama but won't watch it on repeat.

What I liked:
1. Romance - Their banters were so entertaining and that's their love language. Yao Guan Hu excels in smirking once more. There were some nice kisses though I wish we had gotten steamy scenes and more time dedicated to their romance.
2. Empowerment - Zhang Chu Xuan has taken many women empowerment roles and I like it a lot even though in reality these milestones did not happen back in early 20th century. In this drama, she succeeded in getting a divorce and being appointed as a strategist in the army.
3. Acting - Solid acting by Zhang Chu Xuan, Yao Guan Yu, SFL & SML.
4. Antagonist's first arc - I actually liked SFL's character arc in the first act. She was a formidable nemesis to FL and I think the points about arranged marriage vs love match were valid.
5. Supporting characters - I liked ML's second in command & FL's maid. Even FL's mother was adorable despite short screentime.

What I disliked:
1. Antagonists' second & third act - Ok writer went crazy (pun intended) with SFL's character arc once the 4 leads were in military. I liked SML when he realised that SFL had gone overboard. He was able to distinguish right and wrong. However he & his family were very cruel at the end.

Favourite scene
When ML woke up after a surgery
