Tasteful Story Line along with Tasty Food!
This was a series to watch without dealing with too much drama. The story itself is good, although I wish it would have gone much further than it did. It seemed to be rushed a bit in baking everything into a sweet dessert. The acting of Yoon Soo & Do Hoon mixed well together. The characters were very believable, but I think there could have been a deeper story line between the two of them in present day of the series, adding just a bit more drama.
Overall, it was enjoyable to watch. Just be warned not to watch this series on an empty stomach. The food looks amazing throughout. Bon Appetit will definitely give you an appetite!!!!

Boring
Liars in Love was a one-time watch drama. I didn’t enjoy it much. However, I liked the acting of the female lead, and she was the only reason I finished watching it. Otherwise, the story lacked charm. Even the accident subplot was not impactful and didn’t feel properly synchronized with the rest of the plot.”Was this review helpful to you?

Even the 2nd and third lead actors got better storyline!
I don’t know what i did to tolerate and finish this series. For the love of arthur chen maybe? Love the lead actors’ chemistry when they’re not quarelling but it gets irritating when the episodes get boring because the writer made it her mission to drag their separation until the end. The other actors’ story got even better exposure than the two lead. It could have been better, in my opinion. And no, i will not be rewatching this in the forseeable future.

Poor ending
The beginning of the drama was good. I liked the concept and the reason behind the second phase of the story. In addition, I enjoyed the performances of both the leads and the supporting characters. This time, I even liked the acting of the person who played the devil. His makeup was cool—simple, yet effective—and for the first time, a devil didn’t actually look like one. I don’t know why, but he looked good. Everything was going perfectly. However, when the female protagonist spent some time with him and then left him for his sake, the story started to lose its charm. After that, everything felt bland. It seemed like they were unnecessarily stretching the story. Even the ending didn’t feel satisfying. Was this review helpful to you?

Almost a Great Series!
This series had me glued to my seat, not being able to turn it off. A very powerful story line with a great cast of actors.Se Ok & Deok Hui was fantastic. Their characters had the skills of being believable, with just a touch of evil below the surface.
Being a big fan of Yoon Chan Young, I wish he would have had a bigger role, but he was great as a supporting actor in this. He gave a touch of comedy and sensitivity during the really dark moments.
The series did become a bit of a disappointment at the end. Without giving a spoiler, it ended sort of flat, nothing like I was expecting. Without knowing if there will be a season 2, it sort of flat lined the story and really left us waiting for the big moment that never came.
Hopefully a season 2 will happen.

IF YOU'RE NOT WATCHING THIS...WHAT???????
So first of all, I'm not a actor fan who will cheer bcz my fav actors are there. I didn't even know about them from the start. Secondly I'm not a dakaichi fan as I've never read it. But from all the edits I've seen, I can guarantee they don't only look like the characters, they embody them.Every episode is adding value to the plot, nothing is fluff or casually done. Their emotions are so beautifully portrayed. The cinematography is like an art film and beautiful way of story telling.
I'm loving it everyday. I will rewatch as a whole once the series ends airing. If you're a bl fan, just go for it. Trust me. Chemistry, acting, good looks, plotline, everything is serving.

Ai is in love with Nhai. That's the story.
First of all, I'd like to repeat other criticisms by saying that if you're expecting a dramatic drama, you'd better look elsewhere. Although it has its moments, they are generally low risk or predictable from miles away. If you're looking for a series that focuses mainly on being in love, congradulations, you've found it!That said, the series still suffers from a few major problems that can be off-putting:
> Plot holes - Nothing in this series, apart from the protagonists' relationship, seems to go all the way. I was left with questions like “Huh?”, “Who are we talking about?” or “When?” far too often.
> Character development (or lack) - I was hoping for more character development. Considering that the story only focuses on the protagonists, I'm left with a feeling of lack. I feel like we don't really get to know either of them.
> Inconsistencies - The script has a few inconsistencies. I think these are largely caused by the lack of development of the characters.
The series got off to a very strong start. When the first few minutes show Aiyuret, one of the protagonists, getting involved with a man whose name we don't know (and probably neither does he) before being forced to return to Thailand by his father after being expelled from university for physically assaulting another student, I was quite positively surprised. Unfortunately, this version is quickly erased and replaced the moment he meets the other protagonist, Nhai. Although, at first glance, it seems that Ai is only interested in Nhai for his “long legs and gorgeous face”, a short conversation is all it takes for Aiyuret to suddenly transform into a complete lover and pure heart who only has eyes for Nhai. The script later tries to explain his initial behavior, saying that he acted impulsively due to family problems. However, it doesn't clarify why two minutes is enough for all that impulsiveness to fade away, for a boy whose name he doesn't even know yet.
The protagonists' relationship initially presents us with a confused Nhai, afraid of how to deal with his growing feelings for Ai. As such, I was expecting to see moments of legitimate introspection and self-exploration from the character, which would build the security and trust he has in his boyfriend and their relationship by the end of the plot. However, it seems that the script skips this moment and Nhai accepts that he is Aiyuret's “wife” even before the middle of the series. An unnecessary speed for the screen time and number of episodes. This aspect makes me more disappointed because I liked the fact that it was Nhai who took the first step, and I thought that his journey would be highlighted for this very reason - which would also have made for a good story.
Overall, I feel that the author had some good ideas, but avoided going ahead with all those that could make the series more interesting. One wonders if he thought it would be too daring or if he wanted to make a slice-of-life. But even if that was the intention, it lacks consistency and plot. It's like a first story. The author loves (!) his (!) characters, so he doesn't want to hurt them. Unfortunately, for a product that is supposed to appeal to an audience that will remember the story over time, that's not enough! In view of all this, and despite the fact that Ai and Nhai are a cute couple with a likable group, 12 episodes is a complete hallucination. Perhaps if there were fewer, things would be better (or at least more excusable).

DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!
This drama has a bit of everything, much pulls at the heart strings but is so perfectly acted out by Perth and crew, it holds your attention to the very end. I learned long ago, not to be swayed by comments, and choose to form my own verdict. This features the classic rich/poor format, but not over done , and casts such a beautiful portrait of a strained father/son relationship, and a complicated growing love between two main actors, which will draw you to feeling, what they are feeling, each passing minute. I do not write a lot of reviews, but felt so strongly about this drama, I had to, and must say, without any spoilers, this one is a keeper, from start to finish. Nice job!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

10/10
I don't understand why people be hating this drama when I loved it. Well, it's not like I've ever understood anyone. It's a beautiful drama, and I enjoyed it. It represents people out there who like Hee su, have trouble confessing because they're afraid or scared of what the world would say about them... or afraid they'd destroy their friendship if they do confess, and choose to suffer in silence instead. Well, I'm happy he found the courage to confess.
And others like Seung Won who'll choose to love from a distance until they can't take it anymore... People who can be clueless on what they're supposed to do.
And baßtards like Chan Yeong who are blind as f**k and think everything is about them. Didn't like him, not one bit.
And the lady too, she did try to advise Seung Won on what to do. If I were him I'd probably do exactly what he did tho'.
People nowadays always want simple things; confessions in the first episode, rejection/ courting, then dating in episode 4 and five, misunderstanding in episode 6, fighting in episode 7, making up in episode 8... that's boring.
Sometimes slow is sweeter.
Nobody would change my mind on Hee Su. Well, put yourself in his shoes, you try to confess then find out he's going out with someone new, then suddenly he's breaking up with her and wants to pursue some other girl for the first time in history. Whattya gonna do? Confess????????

THEIR LOVE WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO STAY
I enjoy Ren’s work and always love his roles in historical dramas. This was a great drama and it had it ups and downs and maybe it’s just my preference.I would have loved to see more adventures between the Xuan Ye and Ban Xia like traveling outside of the city and then working as a team. I think that would have been dope.
That would have made the relationship blossomed so much more.
I won’t say much but the ending???!!! Y’all didn’t have to make me tear up because that was very heartbreaking to watch.
Like Why? They could have written their ending in a different way.
Am I the only one who thought their love wasnt strong enough?
OR hoping they would have shown a 12yrs later at the end???
At this point, we can only hope they waited for each other.

Betrayed and Heartache
There will be part II. Just not finish yet and always forgiving for FL protagonist. Anyone who wanted to watch this, please wait first the to finish the part 2 as there's a heartache on this. And it was about relationship cheating man who is not well satisfied with 1 woman in his heart. If anyone is not good on emotion and had heart failure this drama is recommended at all. But anyone who is tough enough and able to accept the heartache this drama will be recommended, however, as mentioned, please wait the the part 2 in order to fully satisfied to watch this type of heavy drama. The wedding of a friend has had cheater husband. The wedding planner is not a beauty at all and secretly has relationship with the mistress. Hillarious
I saw this drama getting a lot of attention from my fyp and then decided to watch. From EP 1 - 5 i kinda feel bored and pissed off with the ML because he fell in love just bcz of appearance (my own thoughts) and the filter thing make the FL didn't appear much, but her other character instead so i dropped off. But then i force myself to continue and it keeps getting better after ep 5. I understand Tang Qi and deeply in love with his character. The comedy was top notch i could die laughing because of this series 😭😭 the ending is simple yet beautiful for everyone haha. Love it. Please watchWas this review helpful to you?

The pen is mightier than the sword.
This drama tells a story of the clever Liu Bo Wen whose attention to detail and understanding of human nature give him foresight into situation. If you like dramas with wise leads and does not revolve around a romantic plot then this is for you. The main characters have a very comedic Peabody and Sherman type relationship . It is a funny drama over all but has very serious moments. Recommended if you like "The Long River" or "Flourished Peony" or "Blossoms in Adversity."I would say the rating is PG-13. There is some language involved as well as at least three depictions of murder and blood spill that are shown but very briefly. There are also two attempts of assault on women (neither get very far) and mentions of suicide. Many are sentenced to death by beheading( even a good husband falsely accused) but the camera pans away.
However, the drama itself wraps up all the cases, but there still feels like there should be more. Those who knows the life of Liu Bowen, know what to expect, but the drama does not go that far.

A decent show that had a LOT of promise.
I definitely think the electrifying NC scene has catapulted this show to the top of everyone's lists. SmartBoom definitely have a lot of chemistry and the NC scenes are genuinely beautiful. But, there's no plot. The basic element of "show, don't tell" is missing. For e.g., show us the 21 days of relationship building when Akin and Jin got closer. Without it, it genuinely baffles me as to WHY Akin is suddenly soooo in love with Jin. I get that there's a connection between them, but for us to believe that they've gotten to the "I love you" stage with each other so soon, there just needs to be more. They don't talk to each other about anything else other than how much in love they are. Their relationship feels shallow and made to look deeper than it actually is because of the NC scenes.
Same with the characterization. They've developed Akin at least so you understand him a bit more but Jin is such a one-dimensional flat character that I find it hard to believe he's a real person. I also hate the amount of makeup Smart has been made to wear in the show— it's distracting in so many of the scenes.
The reaction to and the treatment of Akin's SA is extremely disturbing— its almost played off as a joke. And I think the show does not do a very good job of showing us the BTS of being in the entertainment industry and the cutthroat, capitalist system it is. The recent production of ThamePo was much stronger in this particular aspect.
I definitely think SmartBoom have a lot of promise and I would like to see them in a better written production next time.

this drama was litttt
Before starting the drama i came across a comment that said that liking this drama is based on individual taste and i really felt that coz many people kept saying the drama was boring and lacked potential .....but honestly ac to my pov this drama was so good and i would totally recommend it ..the chemistry between the leads were sooo good and in a world where leads make out in the very first few eps it felt good to watch a drama where efforts to understand each other first was priotised and they took it slow and steady before reaching to the NC scenes...i didn't came across a single ep tht was borring and I felt that they showed what needs to shown without any useless stretching which eventually makes the drama cringe and boring ...all in all I would totally recommend itWas this review helpful to you?
