Love beyond the Grave

great concept that was a bit lacking...

this drama started off very slow paced for me, at first I didn't like how the FL was very cold "although it is only fitting to her character yet I didn't like it " and how ML was so mysterious and you couldn't tell if he was a good or bad character yet after the episode when she saved him and the made a pact to exchange 5 sense it became better .

overall this was a well balanced drama they didn't drag out one arc on the expense of the other yet sometimes the story was rushed , here are some parts of what i am talking about :the love story that was starting to develop between jingyuan and fang ji , fang ji's death ( what kind of death was that😅) , yan ke killing simu's father we only got to see it in a flashback , Jiang ai and bai sang xing backstory what made them hate yet love each other?, yan ke trying to kill simu and threatening to do so yet when he had the chance he didn't, I am confused wasn't power his obsession, did he really love her ? to me it was an obsession all along .

that being said it was a great love story, him willing to sacrifice his life to give her his 5 sense and her giving up her spiritual power to become mortal and be with him.

loved the extra episode it would have been devastating to end with him dying and her being alone all over again.

still a great drama although it lacked depth and was rushed at some points.

Unfortunate time to release

Love Beyond the Grave released at unfortunate time....right after Pursuit of Jade, but along side with Veil of Shadow despite to be fair different categories. The most unfortunately part PoJ and VoS has 2 things that lacked in LBtG, better writing of plot & characters. Tho' LBtG bring better war & fight scenes compare PoJ, more realistic....I won't bother to compare with VoS fight scenes because that different level fight cinematography. The biggest problem with LBtG was the writing, it made the story plot feels choppy and lacked characters development. The acting great, each everyone did awesome.....especially Miles Wei, I was worried about Arthur's stiff acting, but he actually did okay. At least now we know for sure that Reba's great in fantasy drama as bad@ss. The music is very.....jarring, sometimes not quite fitting.

Cringefest!!

I try not to do too many dropped reviews, but felt like I should explain why I finally decided just to drop this drama.

I actually really looked forward to this drama, and thought it was going to be so good. Even loved the costumes they were showing for Dilraba. I still do. Dilraba does not disappoint, and her costumes are amazing just like I thought they would be. But sadly even Dilraba could not save this drama for me. The story just seems to really be going nowhere and seems pointless at times, but let me get into my biggest problem with this drama. That is the chemistry!! There is none between these two and found a lot of the dialogue between the two just so cringe. That I just couldn't do it anymore. I have never seen the ML before in a drama and this drama does not make me a fan for him. I don't know if they wanted him to be so goofy or if they wanted him to be such a lovesick puppy, but it didn't go with the general character he was supposed to be playing. Before anyone thinks it has to do with older female and younger male I don't care about that as long as the romance is good and vice versa if its younger female older male. I am a romance lover I want to watch a good love story so a drama really goes down hill for me when the chemistry is really off. I will even try to fast forward to watch a drama, but I didn't care enough for the love story to even do that. I love Dilraba and I think she is the best thing about this drama. So if you think the leads have chemistry you may be able to do better than me.

Boa história, mas poderia ter sido melhor …

A Dilraba é linda e não acho ela má atriz , mas fica uma sensação que faltou alguma coisa … Esse ator que faz par com ela tb não é muito bom … Nota-se que apesar de ter uma ou outra cena romântica , a novela é bastante conservadora, os mocinhos parecem distantes mesmo quando estão em cena juntos, talvez pq não seja sobre paixão e sim um amor mais maduro levando em conta que a personagem dela já é uma mulher bastante vivida … A história parece que falta o ritmo correto , as vezes tá muito lento e as vezes salta para outra parte , como quando ela volta para o mundo dos humanos quando ele volta da guerra pela primeira vez, ela faz ele sofrer e diz que não gosta dele e depois aí atrás dele… a estética está impecável … o segundo mocinho/vilão tá mto melhor , as cenas dele estão ótimas, o amor dele é a revolta dele são muito mais convincentes ! Para mim Dilraba funciona melhor com atores mais velhos e experientes …Talvez ela seja bonita demais para esses meninos e aí eles não dão conta em cena XD … Os ministros da direita e da esquerda e parte do elenco do submundo tá mto bem ! O elenco do mundo humano parece que os diálogos estão meio que sem conteúdo … Enfim , foi bom mas poderia ser melhor … Isso é tão verdade que eles não conseguiram nem vender a parte comercial da novela do meio pra frente pq a audiência tinha caído …

Empecé el drama porque los protagonistas son hermosos, y efectivamente lo son.

Voy a iniciar con el disclaimer de que estoy sesgada jajaja
Dilreba es demasiado bella como para que yo pueda quejarme de ella, pero creo que este personaje le quedó muy bien, su belleza elegante y etérea sí te hace pensar en que es un inmortal lejos de lo que es la experiencia humana, y creo que hizo un buen trabajo pasando de “actuar" como humano a empezar a sentir como uno.
Solo he visto dos dramas de Chen Feiyu, pero siendo personajes tan distintos solo puedo decir que admiro su actuación y su profesionalismo. Amé a Duan Xu, pero también es que Feiyu hizo un excelente trabajo como Duan Xu. La impulsividad y su relación con el dolor, apesar de ser físicamente sensible era emocionalmente distante de su propia sensibilidad, creo que eso le da todo el sentido del mundo a que esté bien deshaciéndose de sus sentidos, los ha usado muy bien, pero también están ligados a una vida intensa y feliz para Simu mientras que un profundo sufrimiento para él.
Amo su idealismo, porque aunque hay poco de su época como Diecisiete, es algo que usó como impulso y como su carta ganadora contra Chong, en vez de encerrarse en la culpa de lo que se convirtió por las circunstancias.
También amo que aunque su padre lo haya abandonado, no lo culpe ni se aferre a ese dolor, simplemente sabía que era por el bien del país y acepta ese autosacrificio desde entonces.
No me gustó que se muriera y ya, yo pensé que iba a soportar una tribulación y regresaría, pero quién sabe cuánto tiempo pase para refinar su alma y poder tomar forma humana de nuevo y es como que yo sé que con eso se conforma Chen Ying, y Simu es eterna lo puede esperar, pero yo me quedé así de: equisde.
Igual amé a Chen Ying, es simplemente adorable, es todo lo que sería Duan Xu si no hubiera pasado tanto dolor, y creo que es bonito que se haya quedado como Soberano porque su obsesión es proteger, creo que es lo correcto.
Lady Jiang Ai, la amo, simplemente la amo, lo siempre confíe en ella. Le gusta el dinero, pero también le gusta la honestidad y cuentas claras, es compasiva y amable. Y su enamorado jajaja, se el antojó viendo la boda de los protas.
Fan Xianye no merecía morir, merecía ser feliz con la hermanita, merecía tener una familia por fin, pero espero que por lo menos ya tenga paz 😭😭😭😭😭
Y la hermana, al final pues encontró qué hacer con su vida, pero que tristeza que nunca supo que amaba a Fan Ji ni por qué. No, eso sí me dió muchísima tristeza.
Y bueno, me alegro que los otros amiguitos de Duan Xu tengan final feliz, también que él se haya podido despedir como debe de ser y probablemente ellos no se enteren nunca en qué momento murió, ni tampoco la familia de Duan Xu.
Lu Da solo me dió lástima, no era una mala persona pero no pudo aceptar la perdida y sus propias responsabilidades arruinando todo lo que lo caracterizaba. Igual eso se me hizo triste.

Al final, disfruté mucho de la química de los protagonistas y todos los momentos que pasaron juntos, pero el final es algo triste.

Это было эстетично, глубоко и невыносимо печально. Если вы готовы к тому, что ваше сердце разобьют вдребезги, но сделают это красиво — смотрите обязательно. Финал оставляет после себя долгое послевкусие светлой грусти и вопрос: а что бы выбрали вы на месте героев?»
