I don’t even know what to say...

If I had 10 cents for every time I wanted to DNF this series, I'd have a thousand cents in my PayPal account!
Sigh.
I feel some type of way…
I am disappointed.
Maybe it’s my mood?Maybe it’s work? Maybe it’s cause I’m thirsty?
I don’t even know.
This is like sitting down to eat the fruit salad I normally enjoy, but instead, I was served random ingredients mixed with cream and ice cream. I reluctantly ate it all because I knew my favorite fruits (strawberries) were in there somewhere, as long as I kept digging around for them.
I guess I should get to the series ha? Yeah, well that is something, and it can’t be denied that watching this is certainly an experience - Positive, negative, annoying, funny, stupid...somehow.
I’m waffling, thinking about fruit salad or whatever, but the truth is that I really don't have any strong opinions about this show. Mostly just bemused annoyances. I think I’m probably being too critical, because I didn’t even dislike this. Don’t get me wrong, it started well at first, but my enthusiasm quickly faded ( I want to listen to Faded...I'm faded, I'm faded. So lost, I'm faded, I'm faded. So lost, I'm faded).
Maybe I’m just annoyed because I thought the plot was doing one thing when actually just ended up doing another. I would say this was more of an romance serials sparkled with some very not hungry vampires.
I love vampire stories. I love romantic stories. I love vampires romantic stories. So, by the same logic, I should have liked show. If the universe was fair and rational, I would have loved it and given it ten stars. But it she is not fair.

But this series was not:
- funny
- scary
- compelling
- exciting
- populated by lovable characters (there was one and they killed him.)
It was:
- predictable
- the kind of clichés that feels like a trick
- centered the most boring one the romance I have ever watched
- sad yes, but mostly just exhausting
- this one was simply just too darn slow for me.
This is a sweet, hot, tiresome lengthy story.
Mark is basically a Rome god and Tong is basically Sleeping Beauty or something. OK, fine, one years ago, we all swoon for hot handsome engineers. Today, we swoon for hot vampire who have a personality and does not drink the golden blood.I guess my cynicism is showing.

Okay enought with the negative.
I'm a fan of the opening song. I love it. There is some sort of magic in this song. I am so obsessed with it. I could listen to it all day.

Тhis show just is not for me. But if this one has caught your eye, don't let my opinion sway you. So many people have loved this series and I’m just really sad I couldn’t. I started out expecting to love this story.

Final
The series started with a bang, but ended with a dang.Thank God it's over.

Give it a chance Please!

It’s a really good BL I’ve been watching and being fan of BL, for over 10 years I’ve seen every single type there is and I’m telling you this one is worth watching, not only does the cast is really talented but it’s really weird to find bls with this type of stories and the few they are are not that good but this one is really good it dosent emphasize the vampire stuff that much so it’s okay cause it focuses more on the romance also it has character development and it takes it time is not so fast forward as others, for me it’s a 10/10 just watch till 3 and you’ll see believe me! So obssesed!!!

Twilight in Thai Version but better then the original

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the voices comparing mgb to Twilight. I really had hopes for this bl that it would go for a less cuddly vampire portrayal than the previous vampire bl. This has largely materialised.

Story: Rather mediocre until the inbuilt plot twist. I liked some of the character dynamics and would have liked more screentime from nakkan and kla for example. A second couple (especially ‘villain’ and friend and how the characters influence and develop each other) would have been good for the story. I didn't like how the plot twist was resolved at the end, it was rather clumsy.

Acting: The acting of the main characters was consistently good to very good.

I would like to emphasise the theme tune. A great song. And the harmony between JossGarwin is great, enhances everything again. Also, despite my disappointment (maybe my expectations were too high), I think this BL is worth seeing. It's a bit darker than the others in the genre, but not yet the way I like it. What is not yet can still be, I am eagerly awaiting ReVamp.

Twilight called and it wants its dignity back!!

I am no Stephenie Meyer, but compared to Golden Blood, Twilight did a pretty solid job, seemed more coherent than this and that alone should tell you everything you need to know about this drama.

Let’s start from the beginning. I was genuinely excited for this series. I waited eagerly for GMMTV to announce the slot, and the first few episodes didn’t disappoint. They were campy and kitschy in a fun, entertaining way, you know the kind of over-the-top storytelling that didn’t take itself too seriously and had great chemistry to carry it.

But here is the thing, we have come a long way with fantasy genre. Even supernatural world need logic (atleast some), some basic rules that make sense within the world they have built. Vampires don’t follow human logic, sure I agree, but their world should still have some kind of structure.
For example : when a human discovers vampires exist, the natural reaction should be fear, suspicion, or at the very least curiosity. You run, you hide, you maybe go home and do a little research. What you don’t do is fratenize with them five minutes later. I missed the whole chase and run aspect of a forbidden romance.

The whole "vampire lore" felt dull and dry. I am a sucker for supernatural romances but this went from campy to sometimes uncomfortable to watch real quick!

As the drama went on, the characters just started acting... weird. Their decisions didn’t make much sense and their emotions seemed to flip on and off like a switch. One minute they are scared, the next they are head over heels, with zero explanation. One moment one tries to kill the other and the next moment they are hot and heavy for each other.

The twists didn’t feel justified and they just kind of happened, like the writers were tossing in drama for the sake of it. It all started to feel really random and by the end, none of it came together in a way that made sense. Whatever logic the show had in the beginning clearly checked out halfway through and what was left was just an unintentionally cringey mess.

Coming to the romance, I could definitely see the chemistry between Joss and Gavin. Their NC scenes were a standout, just the right amount of spice and visually on point. But was that enough to save this sinking ship? Sadly No. Hot leads can't save a cold script.

And I am all for unique character quirks, but Mark’s obsession with Tong’s sweat (!?) was borderline gross. I get it, everyone has got their "thing", but maybe let’s stick to “you smell nice” instead of “your post workout musk drives me wild.”

The supporting character arcs (especially Nakan and Tonkla) had such a strong start. But somewhere along the way, in an attempt to make their journeys feel more “unpredictable” or shocking, the writing took a sharp 180°.
What we ended up with felt less like organic growth and more like a complete rewrite. It was jarring, almost as if we were suddenly watching entirely different characters. The emotional consistency and depth that made them compelling in the beginning got lost in the twist for the sake of surprise.

As for the acting, I’ve seen Gavin’s work before and I know he can act very well, but this script gave him nothing to work with. If anything, it dragged him down. Joss, on the other hand was a mixed bag. I haven’t seen him in anything else, so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt here. Maybe with a tighter script and better direction, he could show some range.

Also, I never knew budget could be a problem for GMMTV. Those golden lenses looked like they came straight from the bargain bin, you know buy 1 get 1 free thing. And the special effects just looked childish at times. I know Joss and Gavin are very easy on the eyes but this was a supernatural series, that is not the only visual we needed. They could have just polished that a bit.

Overall, this was the classic example of writing being the weakest link and everything had to suffer because of it. This show made me miss the sparkly vampires. I will not recommend this unless you want to watch it for the leads. But I would rather recommend watching YouTube shorts or instagram reels of them, things would make more sense there.

A Mix of Missed Potential and Mesmerising Talent

Look, I’ll be honest—I wasn’t exactly jumping out of my seat when I first heard about My Golden Blood. I didn’t have high hopes. But I gave it a go because the cast looked promising—and let’s be real, with Joss and Gawin headlining, it was hard not to at least be curious.

My Golden Blood (Thai: เลือดนายลมหายใจฉัน) is a 2025 fantasy-romance BL series produced by GMMTV and Matching Max Solutions. Directed by Saroj Kunatanad and written by Bee Pongsate Lucksameepong and Piangpaitoon Satrawaha, the series stars Way-Ar Sangngern (Joss) as the 200-year-old vampire Mark and Gawin Caskey (Fluke) as the sweet but stubborn human Tong. The series airs on GMM25 and streams on GagaOOLala, iQIYI, and GMMTV’s YouTube channel.

1. The Plot
Mark is a broody, immortal vampire who’s spent centuries wandering through existence with little purpose—until he meets Tong, a 20-year-old uni student with an ultra-rare blood type: "Golden Blood". This blood is every vampire’s kryptonite and obsession, making Tong both precious and a target. Mark’s job? Protect him at all costs, even from himself.

The show kicks off with promise. A vampire-human love story with heavy BL tones? Yes, please. Tong is cheerful and clueless; Mark is stoic and seductive. There are some spicy, almost homoerotic moments—classic BL meets Gothic romance. Think brooding vampire emerging shirtless from a pool while the human gazes on, confused and intrigued. It's giving Twilight with a homoerotic twist.

But then… things kind of unravel.

2. The Good Stuff
Joss (Mark): Perfectly cast. He’s got the body, the presence, and the intensity to make a convincing vampire. He brought elegance and sex appeal to a role that could have easily turned cheesy. Even when the writing faltered, he held his ground.

Gawin (Tong): While this is the first time I found Gawin’s character not all that likeable (Tong made some head-scratching decisions), I’ve got to hand it to him—he plays a convincing 20-year-old. From Not Me to Enchanté to Dark Blue Kiss, he’s proven time and again he’s got serious range. Even when I found Tong’s choices frustrating, Gawin made him real.

Um Apasiri as Miss Thara: Just… wow. Regal, commanding, and drop-dead gorgeous. Every scene she was in had gravitas. She’s an absolute queen and brought that veteran magic to the screen.

Mond Tanutchai (Nakan): Always sexy, always mysterious. If anyone was born to play a vampire with moral ambiguity, it’s Mond.

3. The Not-So-Good
Plot & Pacing: The show struggles with momentum. There's a lot of build-up, but not enough payoff. For a vampire show, it seriously lacked any bite—literally. There was more action in a slow yoga class than in the vampire fights here.

Mythology & World-Building: The vampire lore felt underdeveloped. We got hints of a deeper mythos, but it never fully took shape. The only supernatural power Mark seemed to flex was taking off his shirt.

Chemistry: For a romance, especially BL, chemistry is everything. But Mark and Tong? You needed a telescope to spot the sparks. Even the sex lacked intensity. They felt more obligatory than passionate.

4. Final Thoughts
The series flirts with so many interesting themes—immortality, forbidden love, the sensuality of vampirism, existential dread—but never fully commits to any of them. The writing feels safe, sometimes flat, and misses the emotional punch that this kind of story should deliver.

Still, it’s worth watching for the cast alone. Gawin’s emotional nuance, Joss’s charisma, and Um’s queenly presence keep the show afloat. If you’re a BL fan or love vampire fiction, you’ll probably find something to enjoy—just go in with tempered expectations.

Is My Golden Blood groundbreaking? Not really. Is it campy, visually pleasing, and mildly entertaining? Absolutely. Just don’t expect fangs that dig too deep.

My Boring Blood

Vampire show so boring and bland the only power the vampire had was taking off his cloths and showing us his underwear. Seriously, what the hell was this? And did they even do anything vampire-esque on this show? Even with the fighting, those vampires were at best doing cardio and yoga poses. Let me explain:

This show was so boring it came to a point where I put it on whenever I couldn't sleep, and it was the best sleeping pill ever. Literally, the main couple were so bland, unless you had a telescope it was impossible to find their chemistry. The two missionary nc scenes they had was meh. Like, making a tub nc with roses look so dull must be a new achievement. Mark the vampire kept taking his cloths off at random and tried to heal someone who had a metal rod stuck in their chest. Boy why? just dumb. Tong the 'Golden Blood' made just the stupidest and most annoying decisions, and he kept doing whatever the hell he was doing with his mouth and eyebrows. No, but real talk, was that whole face thing supposed to make Tong look demure and soft? What the hell was that? That happy ending was truly undeserving. Also, how much does a shaver cost?

And the bad guys. LMAO, talk about generic. The first bad guy get's find out and dude went to sit by some river on his garden chair and just waited for his enemies to find him. And when they did, he became one of the good guys who immediately died a worthless dead, talking about going to be with his love one when this whole drama he hadn't mentioned them once. Like why is you lying about having someone? Also, the big final bad guy was so meh, literally her powers didn't even work, cuz homegirl saw none of that coming for her. Why was anyone afraid of her when her predictions were as useful as the weather forecast?

HAHAHAHHAHAAHAAAAHAHA. I was laughing throughout that finale. That final showdown was ridiculous, all that big deal about drinking the special golden blood, and all Mark did after drinking it is walk in there, pushed two guards aside and got stabbed by Thara. Literally if it wasn't for that one bad guy who died that useless death, Mark would have died too. And after all that a kiss woke up Tong, and this dude was like, 'oh woe is me, I am dying, if only, if only I was immortal like you, hhhmmm.' Of which Mark replied. 'Oh wait, I can grant you that, but are you sure?' And my arse just rolling my eyes like, 'my friend my friend my friend, stop with the theatrics, either die or just become a vampire and let us have some peace. Damn Susan.'

No but this whole show was a giant disappointment. I was expecting some vampire effects and magic, but all we got was some yoga fighting poses, that window scene that had me laughing off my sofa, sniffing stuff and licking blood, some little speed here and there when they remember this is supposed to be a vampire show, Mark biting Tong's lips one time, that black and white effect with flowers, and... well that was about it.

Seriously, it's not by force to do a vampire show if you don't have the budget or a decent plot for that matter. I was so hyped for this, but it ended up just so meh. The plot could have been interesting but it was all over the place, and the acting was nothing to write home about, either, what a waste. Like I am still laughing at that scene when Tongkla died. Dude took 1-2 business days dying, and the all powerful healer vampire tried to heal him with that metal still stuck in his chest. Like, child why? Also, this production managed to make Neo dull. Neo! How? Dude have so much aura he is loud just by appearing on screen and blinking, and they managed to make him bland and dull. Yikes.

I do hope Joss and Gawin get cast for something better in the future, and get to work with a director who can utilize their talent, and they actually take time to develop it and not give us another half-arsed drama like this one. I love their dynamic so I'd like to see more of them, but this was seriously not it.

All-in-all, it wasn't the best but we've had worse, so if you are a fan of these two give it a chance you might enjoy it more than I did.

This series is great

I didn't wait for this series like others who have been waiting for up to 2 years, because my expectations of this series were so low but I was on a whim to watch it because many people said the series was worth watching and yes it turned out to be quite good from my initial expectations. This series may not be a typical vampire story but it's definitely worth watching.

I’m a sucker for vampire stories, so of course this series caught my attention. But right from the first episode, it was crystal clear that it wouldn’t be your typical vampire story and that the real focus would be the love story between two lonely souls: Mark, a vampire who’s never known love or found purpose in life, and Tong, a naïve orphan whose world is completely upended as he approaches his 21st birthday. From there, the story unfolds with themes of friendship, loyalty, love, growth, and betrayal.

It was truly beautiful to watch Mark start to discover feelings and emotions he’d never experienced before and see Tong grow and realize he was stronger than he ever imagined.

Joss and Gawin were such a pleasant surprise. Their chemistry is absolutely spot on. They feel so natural together that makes it effortless to believe in Mark and Tong’s relationship. Every scene flows smoothly, never feeling staged or awkward. Plus, both of them exude an insane amount of sensuality, and they mastered non-verbal communication like no one else.
The supporting cast was incredible, but I have to give special praise to Um Apasiri Nitibhon for her portrayal of K’Thara. She brought the perfect villain to life. And lastly, this series has one of the most stunning OSTs I’ve ever heard. It had me hooked from the start with its romantic opening theme, perfectly delivered by Gawin Caskey. But honestly, every song is beautiful, which is rare.

BITTEN BY LOVE

My Golden Blood tells the story of Tong, a 20-year-old who believes he has hemophilia, but in truth, possesses a rare and powerful golden blood, irresistible to vampires. While Mark is a 200-year-old vampire assigned to protect and care for Tong.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the series, it was engaging and well-paced. However, the rest of the episodes became somewhat uneven. Some scenes dragged, while others remained captivating enough to keep me watching. What really held my interest was the curiosity about how things would unfold. The pacing overall was decent, especially in terms of the characters realizing their feelings; it didn't feel overly drawn out.

The romance between Mark and Tong felt natural, with undeniable chemistry between them. Their kisses and intimate scenes were realistic and never felt forced. The acting was solid across the board. Joss was perfectly cast as Mark: handsome, sexy, mysterious, and stoic. He absolutely understood the assignment. Fluke, as Tong, embodied the role of a naive, kind-hearted, and cheerful young man with sincerity and warmth.

As for the twist involving Thara, I saw it coming. She gave off shady vibes from the beginning, so her reveal as the villain wasn’t surprising.

Supporting Characters:

Tonkla – Tong’s best friend, almost like a brother. He’s supportive and protective, though initially unaware of Tong’s blood and the vampire world. Eventually, his close bond with Tong pulls him into the chaos, adding another emotional layer to the story.

Nakan – A 250-year-old vampire and Mark’s relative. Striking, charismatic and powerful, he initially comes off as a manipulative antagonist, especially through his control over Tonkla. But later, he sides with Mark and Tong, revealing deeper motives. His desire to take down Thara stems from a personal vendetta, she killed his best friend, who also had golden blood.

Thara – The authoritative leader of the vampires. She’s manipulative, deceptive, and ultimately driven by greed. While she hides behind a calm, commanding facade, her obsession with golden blood and using it for her own gain, especially as a cure when she’s sick exposes her true nature.

Technical Aspects:

The cinematography was visually appealing, with atmospheric tones that suited the vampire theme well. The OST deserves special praise, absolutely chef's kiss. The music enhanced the emotional beats of the story beautifully. Kudos to the team for creating such memorable tracks.

Final Thoughts:

The series started strong with a promising premise and solid emotional core. However, the latter half suffered from weaker writing. Some scenes felt like filler and there were noticeable plot holes that could have been tightened up. That said, I still enjoyed My Golden Blood for what it was, a supernatural romance with intriguing characters, good chemistry, and standout performances. It's not perfect, but it’s definitely worth a watch, especially for fans of the vampire BL genre.

BL Twilight?? SIGN ME UP!!!

Is it a masterpiece? No. but if you’re into cliché vampire (mostly romance) plots and a fan of JossGawin you will enjoy it!!

Things i liked:

The romance between Mark and Tong felt natural, chemistry between them was great! Their kisses and intimate scenes were realistic and never felt forced to me. The acting was solid across the board.

At first, i wasn’t sure how i felt about JossGawin together. I knew Gawin since (Not Me the series) But for Joss, i didn’t really know anything about him.. But after watching this, I’m very excited for their future series together!!

Visually Joss and Gawin are STUNNING together. They're so sweet and soft to watch. And seem very close and match eachother well. Their chemistry On and Off Screen is beautiful!! And I’m 100% invested in the JossGawin pairing🫂🫂 Very excited to see them in Only Friends season 2!!

THE OST IS BEAUTIFUL!! Closer, Ever After, and (Just You) are the top on my playlist rn✨✨

The filming locations i LOVEDD. The flower-shop had a great design...it was really beautiful!! All the houses and rooms were very well designed. The lighting and cinematography was great too!

As for the people complaining that joss was shirtless/half naked for TOO many episodes is WILD.
Idk why are y’all complaining that’s eye candy for me😌😌 Neo was NOT joking about Joss having the nicest body in GMMTV 5555

The side characters:

Out of everyone, i enjoyed Nakan the most. His story was interesting and wish we got more from his point of view…
Miss Thara killed her role in this series (Her stepping on Nakan was hawtt ME NEXT-) but her storyline was predictable…
TonKla was cute (love you Neo) but did him dirty ngl😭😭

SO the main problems for me was…

The CGI:

I understand that this is a low budget series and we can really feel it, it's really a shame (there was not even a workshop for it!!!!!) so due to that the editing is pretty bad.. In EP 12 the green screens were so badly edited in😭😭 It distracted me SO much and took me out of the wholesome moment that they were having. (HOWEVER, the upside down eiffel tower scene - inject it in my veins cuz I ATE THAT SHIT UP)

The audio:

The audio was- well, let’s just say (Crispy at times) During a very emotional scene, it felt like they were using one of those five dollar microphones that got dropped in the river ngl😭😭 It FR took me out of the moment. Also background music was not my favorite. (I’ve heard worse though)

The plot/Story: Not getting into to spoilers.

There was lots of plot holes and things that weren’t explained well. Or just didn’t make sense. I didn't like how they did the flashbacks to the past cause it was so random and messy. And tbh I just felt like they put so many moments just to get the ep runtime. It felt forced and unnecessary, mostly the college scenes. Wish they would have put more focus on the (vampire plot)

Ending thoughts:

10/10 potential, unfortunately didn’t quite deliver.
BUT Did i enjoy it- %100 YES😩😩

So go ahead and watch it. Give it a chance :)

Classic vampire story with hot guys

Well, I'm not really sure if I should be disappointed or happy about this series, so I will decide to just be relieved it ended happily.

Overall the show looka really good. Lighting, decor, costumes, the actors, ... It all looks very polished and neat. The only flaw was the blood, and specifically the placement and amounts. These were illogical and weird on some scenes.

Gawin and Joss are both good actors, Gawin took the entire stage with his performance. Joss seemed a bit hindered by the emotionlesness he had to portray, but put on a very believable vampire

The villains, the friends, the allies and foes all appeared as and when they were expected, not really any surprises there.

The lovestory is believable, but i would have liked to see a bit more. Can't really explain what exactly, but something was missing.

The ending was also unsurprising. And i can't help but think that if they had thought of this solution sooner, we could have been done in 6 eps with 50% less victims. But thats how these stories go.

So in conclusion, yes it was good and entertaining but hardly surprising or even exciting and thats a bit of a miss.
