Chemistry was insane good

First, the bad points:
CGI was very bad.
Vampires have an indefinable pattern.
Sometimes they were stronger than humans, sometimes not and ect.

Positive points: One of the best love stories I've seen. The structure was good and made sense. You could feel the connection between the two main characters and empathize with them, because of them the serie work, despite its flaws.
I will rewatch it often because of them.

This is genuinely one of the best BLs GMM has ever made.

Now, that is with the caveat that you have to be capable of enjoying pure campy fun. Are the special effects particularly corny? Absolutely. Does it detract from the overall story? I'd argue it doesn't.

Joss and Gawin's chemistry is also just supurb. In fact, I'd argue this is the best chemistry Gawin has had with any of his partners. They really succeeded in that classic, yearning, punch-to-the-gut romance kind of way.

My only complaint is I think not having a side, toxic romance between Mond and Neo was a mistake. Numerous times I thought they'd go there, but alas. It not having that doesn't take away from it either.

It's a really fun time, that doesn't fail to sit in it's serious moments

It’s Not Perfect, But It’s a Bloody Good Time

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed My Golden Blood. While the storyline isn’t groundbreaking, it’s still engaging and fun to watch. It strikes a balance between drama, romance, and supernatural elements, making it a solid pick for fans of the genre.
However, I did notice some oddly timed cuts throughout the show. At times, scenes felt abruptly shortened or transitioned too quickly, which occasionally disrupted the pacing.
As for the acting, I personally didn’t find it deserving of the criticism I’ve seen in other reviews. No, it’s not Oscar-level, but it’s more than adequate for a TV series of this type and far better than many others I’ve seen.
The CGI and special effects were admittedly a bit dated and occasionally clunky, but oddly enough, that added a sense of nostalgia for me. It reminded me of some of Thailand’s earlier supernatural dramas, there’s a charm in that slightly rough-around-the-edges feel.
What absolutely cannot be denied is the chemistry between the two leads. Their connection is palpable and carries much of the emotional weight of the series. It’s that dynamic that really keeps you invested, even during some of the more cliché or corny moments, which, let’s be honest, are almost expected in a vampire-themed show.
Overall, I genuinely enjoyed My Golden Blood. Yes, it has its flaws, but it also has heart. If you’re a fan of vampire stories, don’t let the negative reviews deter you. Give it a chance, you might end up liking it as much as I did.

BL Twilight?? SIGN ME UP!!!

Is it a masterpiece? No. but if you’re into cliché vampire (mostly romance) plots and a fan of JossGawin you will enjoy it!!

Things i liked:

The romance between Mark and Tong felt natural, chemistry between them was great! Their kisses and intimate scenes were realistic and never felt forced to me. The acting was solid across the board.

At first, i wasn’t sure how i felt about JossGawin together. I knew Gawin since (Not Me the series) But for Joss, i didn’t really know anything about him.. But after watching this, I’m very excited for their future series together!!

Visually Joss and Gawin are STUNNING together. They're so sweet and soft to watch. And seem very close and match eachother well. Their chemistry On and Off Screen is beautiful!! And I’m 100% invested in the JossGawin pairing🫂🫂 Very excited to see them in Only Friends season 2!!

THE OST IS BEAUTIFUL!! Closer, Ever After, and (Just You) are the top on my playlist rn✨✨

The filming locations i LOVEDD. The flower-shop had a great design...it was really beautiful!! All the houses and rooms were very well designed. The lighting and cinematography was great too!

As for the people complaining that joss was shirtless/half naked for TOO many episodes is WILD.
Idk why are y’all complaining that’s eye candy for me😌😌 Neo was NOT joking about Joss having the nicest body in GMMTV 5555

The side characters:

Out of everyone, i enjoyed Nakan the most. His story was interesting and wish we got more from his point of view…
Miss Thara killed her role in this series (Her stepping on Nakan was hawtt ME NEXT-) but her storyline was predictable…
TonKla was cute (love you Neo) but did him dirty ngl😭😭

SO the main problems for me was…

The CGI:

I understand that this is a low budget series and we can really feel it, it's really a shame (there was not even a workshop for it!!!!!) so due to that the editing is pretty bad.. In EP 12 the green screens were so badly edited in😭😭 It distracted me SO much and took me out of the wholesome moment that they were having. (HOWEVER, the upside down eiffel tower scene - inject it in my veins cuz I ATE THAT SHIT UP)

The audio:

The audio was- well, let’s just say (Crispy at times) During a very emotional scene, it felt like they were using one of those five dollar microphones that got dropped in the river ngl😭😭 It FR took me out of the moment. Also background music was not my favorite. (I’ve heard worse though)

The plot/Story: Not getting into to spoilers.

There was lots of plot holes and things that weren’t explained well. Or just didn’t make sense. I didn't like how they did the flashbacks to the past cause it was so random and messy. And tbh I just felt like they put so many moments just to get the ep runtime. It felt forced and unnecessary, mostly the college scenes. Wish they would have put more focus on the (vampire plot)

Ending thoughts:

10/10 potential, unfortunately didn’t quite deliver.
BUT Did i enjoy it- %100 YES😩😩

So go ahead and watch it. Give it a chance :)

Campy goodness, scorching chemistry and vampire lore with a modern twist

My Golden Blood strikes the perfect balance of fantasy, heart, thrill and hotness. A brooding vampire learning to feel emotions and his courageous human falling in love, delivering both excitement and tender moments. Joss Wayar and Gawin Caskey are marvelous in these roles. Their chemistry is electric and addictive, turning every glance and touch into something magical. Joss’s intense vibe pairs seamlessly with Gawin’s tender yet bold energy and makes their love story a feast for eyes and soul.

The pacing, once it accelerates after first few episodes, keeps you hooked with a mix of suspense, romance, and clever twists. Beyond the fluff, it explores deeper themes like acceptance and sacrifice, and adds real weight in the second half of the show.

If you’re a BL fan or just crave a well-acted romance with a supernatural flavor and gorgeous dudes, My Golden Blood is a must-see series. It’s emotional, beautiful, and one of GmmTV’s most fun and sexy shows - perfect for cozy evenings

New modulation to the existential conflict between being human and being a vampire

The parallels between vampirism and gay sex

LGBT+ subtexts in horror films and series, especially those about vampires, are nothing new.
More than "horror" creatures, vampires have become, in a way, a symbol of queer liberation, as these "monsters" have never been judged too much by who they have sex with... or perhaps I should say "whose neck they bite." Rather, they are the villains of the story because, well... they usually mercilessly kill their victims. Or at the very least, they turn them into vampires once they suck the blood from their throats to "feed".
In fact, if there is one thing that has characterized these creatures of folklore, it is that they are extremely sexual beings. Therefore, it's no surprise that narratives filled with these entities that feed on the vital essence of other living beings (usually in the form of blood) are replete with eroticism, and in many cases, homoeroticism.
A representative of supernatural horror combined with the BL genre, Thai director Ark Saroj Kunatanad, from "Shadow" (2023) to the present, has constructed suggestive metaphors about the monsters that live in the popular imagination.
If in his aforementioned debut film he inhabited that malevolent instance in a story that revolves around strange nightmares, terrifying hallucinations and focused more on heterosexual love stories rather than gay romance, despite being advertised as a love story between boys, in 'My Golden Blood' (2025) he approaches queer love through vampirism. It is a modulation in the approach to the myth, advisable to watch alongside the film 'Red Wine in the Dark Night', written and directed by Golf Tanwarin Sukkhapisit in 2015, and the series 'OMG! Vampire', directed by Phadej Onlahung in 2024, 'Vampire Project', the production of Studio Wabi Sabi, and '1000 Years Old', a series produced by Feel Good Bangkok and H8 Studio, directed by Champ Weerachit Thongjila, all of the BL genre.
I haven't read the novel it's based on so I can't speak to its merits as an adaptation, but I have no doubt that the director subverts the usual trope of the queer vampire who tries to seduce his victim into becoming one of them, as we can see in 'The Lost Boys', the classic horror thriller directed in 1987 by Joel Schumacher.

As an introduction to the plot

In the Thai supernatural romance drama series, Tong (Gawin Caskey), a cheerful and optimistic 20-year-old, has been tricked into believing he has hemophilia. But this lie, authored by a mysterious and distant being, has saved his life, as it has helped hide the fact that he possesses a rare and precious blood type known as Golden Blood, irresistible to vampires. If it were discovered that Tong possesses such powerful blood, it would be the reason why thousands of vampires would hunt him down.
To prevent this, Mark (Joss Way-ar Sangngern), the handsome 200-year-old vampire heir who never knew the meaning of life until he met Tong, will do everything in his power to protect him from himself and from the vampires who refuse to abide by the first and most important rule: "Do not kill any human being under any circumstances."
Joss trying to protect Gawin is the gayest thing ever. The seduction of one man by another is something very hot.
The initial encounter between the human and the supernatural creature develops with a strong homoerotic component, as Tong watches Mark emerge half-naked from the pool, or as the vampire inserts Tong's injured finger with a broken cup in his mouth and promptly drinks the blood that flows out, in a vampiric effort to prevent the sweet and potent scent of blood from being smelled by the rest of the vampires. It is lust, desire, eroticism, sensuality that the camera films.
The parallels between vampirism and gay sex are present in every minute of the story.
Just as he first portrayed him in 'Kolchak: The Night Stalker' (1972), Ark Saroj Kunatanad brought vampires out of their Gothic castles and into the modern world. Here, the Thai director follows the same path—Mark and his family currently live in Bangkok and produce the Amarita Stem Cell Serum, a highly sought-after product for those seeking to survive the aging process. This product serves as a facade to justify the fact that the passage of time has left no visible marks on them—with the difference that the vampire protagonist here is a romantic figure, an adventurer who has survived for centuries, hoping to find love and must fulfill the supreme mission set by Thara (Um Apasiri Nitibhon), the leader of the vampires, to become the successor to the Amarittrakul family and restore peaceful coexistence between non-humans and humans.
After the plot and main characters are introduced, the series unfolds like any college BL, with two boys discovering each other and themselves, but with the peculiarity that one is a human and the other a vampire who must protect his beloved from the vampires' appetite for golden blood.
'My Golden Blood' is a series with greater achievements, both in writing and visually, compared to other Thai-produced BL series in the vampire subgenre, but it's still not quite perfect. We have to forgive a couple of conceptual glitches and the poor special effects, especially considering how plausible the other visual aspects are; points that the former could have smoothed out or addressed with much more tact; and the latter with a bigger budget, but for the rest, it's a good love story between a supernatural creature and a human being.
The viewer will witness direct attacks by vampires against humans (such as the one that occurred in a beef store, to suggest the immortal creatures' strong affinity for blood), which connects the series, perhaps, with the imaginary of how much could be assumed as a "normal" vampire series.

Gawin and Joss: performances and characters

I think it's a truly delightful idea to have Gawin as Tong. Isn't Gawin, that policeman, artist, and all-around tough guy, who, called Dan in 'Not Me,' was also incredibly emotional, and while that role had distanced him from his real-life personality, he comes closer to it with the guitar-playing, song-writing, Saifa-loving musician in the cheerful romantic comedy series 'Enchanté'? Isn't Gawin the same man whose character, Mhork, a trouble-loving teenager, must grow up in 'Dark Blue Kiss' to overcome his childish behavior, attitude problems, and anger issues? Isn't her beauty, with those soft features despite her large, muscular body, and her unwavering eyes, the closest thing to someone who, with the help of a vampire, must fight for her own life? I think so.
Through his eyes, the character exceptionally conveys Tong's gay awakening when he discovers Mark emerging from a pool, half-naked in a bathing suit. Through his perception, the viewer discovers the confusion, perplexity, emotion, and immaturity of a character that, having just left adolescence, travels from the countryside to the big city. If initially only to continue his studies, it will also be to discover the terror, the darkness that looms over him, the proximity of death, extermination, the hope of survival with the help and protection of Mark... love.
The character portrayed by Gawin is very believable as he reveals his true reality through Mark's lips: The sweet scent of his golden blood would cause chaos and awaken the vampires' thirst. He would never become one of these beings of Gothic culture if his blood were devoured by one of them. The vital liquid that runs through his veins is so precious that vampires would not stop drinking it until he has drunk it all. And although, quite understandably, he initially hesitates upon learning that the being accompanying him is a vampire, he soon understands that Mark has decided to protect him since he was a child, when his mother died after being bitten by a vampire.
While his performance in the pilot episode didn't quite convince me, Joss Way-ar Sangngern has proven his acting talent in subsequent episodes. I find him to be a very interesting actor. His well-contoured body, his strong and confident voice, and his penetrating eyes, combined with dramatic, yet non-intrusive makeup, manage to disguise the actor's impeccable appearance, making him seem oddly and suggestively inappropriate.
Before tasting golden blood, Mark was an empty being with no personal needs, feelings, or desires. He's the character who intrigues me the most because he must face profound dilemmas: on the one hand, he must protect Tong from the other vampires, but how will he do so, knowing that a single drop of her blood makes him lose control over himself and the feelings and emotions he experiences after meeting Tong—feelings and emotions he'd long forgotten when he stopped being human and became a vampire. Nothing is more logical than for the audience to wonder if Mark is in love with Tong or just yearns for golden blood. Are his feelings for Tong genuine, or are they just the result of having drunk her golden blood? How will he accomplish the mission Thara entrusted to him?
While fascinating, the conclusions reached by Mark's character have been explored before – Mark is an existentialist vampire – and reveal aspects of the ancient myth that have also been considered before: "Who do you think I am? What you need to ask is what creature am I?" Mark will gradually introduce himself to his astonished protégé.
Would the series have won with another lead actor? It's a question I asked myself after watching the first episode. Today I think he's the one. The chemistry between the two actors is incredible, and Joss has grown in confidence alongside Gawin to successfully carry out his performance.

Some important aspects to highlight

Long and dynamic camera movements, a successful production design by the renowned Samorapum Pakdeethai, admirable lighting work that successfully illuminates sets and uses chiaroscuro to denote melancholy and bring out the Thai capital in a pictorial way, depicted with genuine taste, are some of its achievements.
Apart from some technical and interpretive defects, the big problem with 'My Golden Blood' is that, on the one hand, it fails to distance itself from Hollywood standards and the general Anglo-Saxon canon, from Universal to Hammer Films; While on the other hand, it shows a clear intention to tell us that one man is better than another for being hypermasculine, heterosexual, an immaculate guardian of testosterone, and identified as white/Western, who is recognized for attributes such as attractiveness, handsomeness, sexy...
'My Golden Blood' is a series created to show some of the stereotypes of masculinity, especially those associated with the role of provider and being strong, competitive, rational, brave, inexpressive, dominant, independent... qualities that naturalize violent behavior, as well as to show off the mesomorphic bodies of Fluke and Joss Way-ar, but also to demonstrate the artistic talent of the two actors, and Fluke's warm and sweet voice as a singer.
In several scenes, especially those in which the character played by Joss can be seen half-naked, or in the one in which with a single movement of his finger a vampire leader stops an entire pack of hungry Dracula emulators ready to feed on golden blood, Ark Saroj Kunatanad worships orthodox masculinity, that social construct that evolves in response to social and cultural changes, and which, considered largely hegemonic, is evidenced in the dominance of men over women and other less powerful men.
In addition to violating the essence of BL and what distinguishes it from mainstream, white, Western, gay media, with his excessive worship of hegemony the Thai director deprives us as viewers of drawing our own conclusions, giving us a distorted view of this social phenomenon, widely exploited in Thai BL series, without taking into account that contemporary changes in masculinity have seen the emergence of new masculinities that challenge traditional male stereotypes.
In many ways, rather than showing sexual difference uncensored, ending down the stereotypes that often still surround queer characters, breaking with past hegemonic and ancestral conventions, reflecting the lives and experiences of LGBT+ people on screen, validating the identities, experiences, and emotions of members of this human collective, demonstrating that the love, struggles, and dreams of gay people are just as valid and important as those of anyone else, these kinds of politics, still present in many Thai boy-love dramas, take BL back to more reactionary than progressive places in the queer imaginary.
Although these aesthetic aspects manage to cloud the story, the series explores themes such as the loneliness that comes with immortality. Joss Way-ar Sangngern's Mark is a vampire with a soul. Sad and lonely, his mission to protect Tong has led him to distance himself from his fellow human beings, even those of his "own blood," in the universe of living beings.
In essence, what the Thai director does is simply take the aggiornada vampire imagery created by the British production company in the 1960s and... Add little else. In its low-budget gothic horror films, the studio behind 'Dracula' and 'The Curse of Frankenstein' had transformed vampires into ruthless beings with enormous sexual magnetism; And while the series shows some of these wild subjects who run to devour their victims as if they were zombies eager to eat brains, Ark castrated their malevolent intentions, turning one of its protagonists into a seductive, tragic, solitary and melancholic antihero..., eager to find true love.
It's a valid romantic vision, but here Ark repeats what has been exploited on other occasions: the protagonists of 'My Golden Blood' seem to have stepped out of a gay porn casting call, dripping not only with water when they emerge from a pool, but, above all, exuding sexuality and beauty, with one of them suffering from having to repress his wild instincts every time he is near the boy with the golden blood.

The main dilemma: the existential conflict between being human and being a vampire

As expected, Tong won't beg Mark to be transformed into a vampire and live immortality by his side. Which leads me to ask: how will the two of them live out their love affair? If Tong doesn't become a vampire, she'll die at some point, while Mark would be condemned, as he has been up to now, to a sad and lonely eternal survival without the person he loves.
If we were to follow the imagery of vampire films and TV shows to the present, the ideal scenario would be that Tong would be bitten by Mark, allowing them both to enjoy immortality. But as we all know, Tong cannot be bitten by a vampire and survive. In this context, the obvious questions arise: how could the two then manage to live together forever? How could the love between the two survive? How will they experience the existential conflict between being human and being a vampire, a conflict that Mark doesn't have and that, if necessary, will make him noticeably desperate for the human nature that Tong refuses to relinquish today and would find difficult to abandon tomorrow?
By drinking the golden blood, Mark has begun to react, feeling emotions and feelings that draw him closer to humans. Could this be the solution? The vampire transformed into a human being, going against everything established in the vampire myth to date? I find it very original, but then a new question arises: How could Mark maintain the physical strength, perception, power of willpower, hypnosis, intuition, transformation, summoning and control over animals, humans and other undead, and other characteristics that distinguish him as a vampire, necessary to carry out his mission of protecting Tong?

A must-watch for those who like vampires and BL's.

SPOILERS! This series is seriously so good! One of my recommendations for people who are new to watching BL. I have not seen one this well-made in a long time. Everything, down to the smallest detail, was phenomenal: the plot, acting, and budget. It seemed to have been put together amazingly. I especially love the NC scene at the end of episode 8, how Tong did not allow Mark to push him away this time. He stayed and helped Mark. The amount of genuine trust he held for him in that moment, even knowing that if Mark had lost control, he would not be able to fight or run away in time. The acting in that scene was so well done, I mean every detail of it. I keep replaying it. I can feel all the emotions through the screen, so that's how you know the acting was thought out well, and many things were taken into consideration. I knew it had a happy ending going in, but watching the final episode when Tong died made me tear up, and when Mark was crying over his body made the tears fall from my eyes. My brain would not comprehend the fact that the series is going to have a happy ending. Not to mention the part where Nakan stabbed Mark's neck, I genuinely believed he betrayed him. I will say, though, the last few minutes of the final episode did seem a bit rushed; however, the overall experience of the series completely outweighs the ending. The production did seem well and not like it had a low budget at all. And we cannot forget to talk about the OST "Closer"? IT'S SO GOOD. I've already replayed it multiple times, and it's on my playlist currently, where it's going to stay. I will for sure be recommending this to anyone looking to get into BL because it's a perfect balance and blend of the plot and the BL aspect. Amazing!

Damn...I'm already reeling from all that HAWTNESSS!!!

This show is going to be my undoing by bringing out the absolutely-disgusting-ravenous smuthound in me....even if the story and everything else falls through, I will turn up to just watch Joss and Gawin ...I mean the plot-holes in this one is more like a whole window, but who is to complain when the 'view' is so damn fine....:D

BL-needle score: 9. Very High BL-ness

NGL....I would watch anything with Gawin in it...and was waiting a looooong time for him in a lead role, so there.....now, did I ever think that I will be drooling over another man with Gavin in the same frame? - NOPE....but boy! was I wrong!!!!Joss is like IMMEASURABLY HAWWT!!!!

The story is quite tantalising so far, even if a tad too 'fantastic'...but hey! what do you expect from a Vampire show if not fantasy!!! lol....and frankly, I don't really think this show will run on the story...because it needs nothing beyond the combined hotness of Joss and Gawin to run full-steam right till the end....phew!!

Should you watch it???..erm...do you absolutely despise shows that run on the leads' chemistry alone? If Yes, then No, you shouldn't watch this...but if you are part of the rest of the universe that doesn't belong to that set...then YES....

Just watch it for Joss and Gawin...there, I said it! :P

Try watching it first

I've watched it up to episode 5 and the storyline is progressing quickly but surely. The CGI was bad (I admit) at the beginning of the episode, but everything from the plot, acting, cinematography, soundtrack is pretty good and worth watching.

I still never doubted Gawin's acting and indeed his acting as an "tong" innocent and funny, needs to be applauded. As for joss, this is the first time I've seen him acting in a series and he can play "mark" well, how "mark" is stiff when he's not close to "tong" but turns more expressive when he's with "tong". And the other actors are also so cool.

My Boring Blood

Vampire show so boring and bland the only power the vampire had was taking off his cloths and showing us his underwear. Seriously, what the hell was this? And did they even do anything vampire-esque on this show? Even with the fighting, those vampires were at best doing cardio and yoga poses. Let me explain:

This show was so boring it came to a point where I put it on whenever I couldn't sleep, and it was the best sleeping pill ever. Literally, the main couple were so bland, unless you had a telescope it was impossible to find their chemistry. The two missionary nc scenes they had was meh. Like, making a tub nc with roses look so dull must be a new achievement. Mark the vampire kept taking his cloths off at random and tried to heal someone who had a metal rod stuck in their chest. Boy why? just dumb. Tong the 'Golden Blood' made just the stupidest and most annoying decisions, and he kept doing whatever the hell he was doing with his mouth and eyebrows. No, but real talk, was that whole face thing supposed to make Tong look demure and soft? What the hell was that? That happy ending was truly undeserving. Also, how much does a shaver cost?

And the bad guys. LMAO, talk about generic. The first bad guy get's find out and dude went to sit by some river on his garden chair and just waited for his enemies to find him. And when they did, he became one of the good guys who immediately died a worthless dead, talking about going to be with his love one when this whole drama he hadn't mentioned them once. Like why is you lying about having someone? Also, the big final bad guy was so meh, literally her powers didn't even work, cuz homegirl saw none of that coming for her. Why was anyone afraid of her when her predictions were as useful as the weather forecast?

HAHAHAHHAHAAHAAAAHAHA. I was laughing throughout that finale. That final showdown was ridiculous, all that big deal about drinking the special golden blood, and all Mark did after drinking it is walk in there, pushed two guards aside and got stabbed by Thara. Literally if it wasn't for that one bad guy who died that useless death, Mark would have died too. And after all that a kiss woke up Tong, and this dude was like, 'oh woe is me, I am dying, if only, if only I was immortal like you, hhhmmm.' Of which Mark replied. 'Oh wait, I can grant you that, but are you sure?' And my arse just rolling my eyes like, 'my friend my friend my friend, stop with the theatrics, either die or just become a vampire and let us have some peace. Damn Susan.'

No but this whole show was a giant disappointment. I was expecting some vampire effects and magic, but all we got was some yoga fighting poses, that window scene that had me laughing off my sofa, sniffing stuff and licking blood, some little speed here and there when they remember this is supposed to be a vampire show, Mark biting Tong's lips one time, that black and white effect with flowers, and... well that was about it.

Seriously, it's not by force to do a vampire show if you don't have the budget or a decent plot for that matter. I was so hyped for this, but it ended up just so meh. The plot could have been interesting but it was all over the place, and the acting was nothing to write home about, either, what a waste. Like I am still laughing at that scene when Tongkla died. Dude took 1-2 business days dying, and the all powerful healer vampire tried to heal him with that metal still stuck in his chest. Like, child why? Also, this production managed to make Neo dull. Neo! How? Dude have so much aura he is loud just by appearing on screen and blinking, and they managed to make him bland and dull. Yikes.

I do hope Joss and Gawin get cast for something better in the future, and get to work with a director who can utilize their talent, and they actually take time to develop it and not give us another half-arsed drama like this one. I love their dynamic so I'd like to see more of them, but this was seriously not it.

All-in-all, it wasn't the best but we've had worse, so if you are a fan of these two give it a chance you might enjoy it more than I did.

1st outing with BL couple Joss and Gawin

Disclaimer

What I am writing here are my views and thoughts about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a higher or lower score and why it is better/worse than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly respect that.

Okay! So, of course I wanted to watch this series because I love watching series/movies with vampires—where sometimes it's done properly and other times it's not. I am a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Series as well as The Vampire Diaries. I have watched Interview With a Vampire (the series and the movie), Buffy the Vampire Series (the movie), Angel, the Underworld movie franchise, and The Originals, just to name a few. So, this series got me a bit excited as it was my first Thai vampire series that I was going to watch, and it was a BL!

Now, I must admit that it did start off well for me personally. But then, it kind of dwindles a bit when Tong and Mark get together. However, it got interesting and better for me by episode 9, with a strong episode 10 , followed by episode 11 having me on the edge of my seat, only to be kind of let down in episode 12. I know that people find it a perfect and good ending. But, to me, personally, I felt underwhelmed. And this has happened many times with GMMTV series and me.

This series did have its pros and cons, and that's why I gave it the rating of 8.5/10 due to these reasons.

Pros:
💕Joss being shirtless in many (if not all) of the episodes
💕The chemistry between Joss and Gawin is just top-notch, and I cannot wait to see them in their next series together
💕For you to loose my attention and then just drag it back from episodes 9 to 11 and some parts of 12, yeah, your good
💕The storyline was easy for me to follow and it kept my attention (for most of the times)

Cons:
💔I felt that some of the deaths were not really necessary (Tonkla, Nakan, and (especially) Wan)—I know that they would add emotions for the other characters, but I still don't see the need for them.
💔Having watched so many vampire series/movies, it really did not cross any of their minds that another option for Tong was to turn into a vampire instead of killing him? Because that was the first thing I kept thinking to myself when they kept insisting that they had to kill Tong
💔 The ending felt (of course) kind of rushed to me. But hey, Tong and Mark got their happy ending at the cost of other people's/vampires' lives.

All in all, a very good series with an excellent introduction to us viewers to this new BL couple, Joss and Gawin.
