Terminei My Golden Blood e preciso dizer: eu até gostei, me envolvi com o casal principal, mas também passei raiva. A série é daquelas que têm uma ideia boa nas mãos, mas tropeça feio na hora de desenvolver. E o pior: tropeça onde não precisava.

A história até começa bem. Um órfão, o Tong, descobre que tem um tipo de sangue raríssimo, o tal do "sangue dourado", e por causa disso, vira alvo de vampiros. Um deles é o Mark, que teoricamente tá ali pra protegê-lo, mas obviamente tem segundas intenções. Até aí tudo certo. Tem tensão, tem química, tem uma coisa meio “proibido, mas inevitável” entre os dois que funciona.

Só que logo nos primeiros episódios já dá pra sentir o problema: os diálogos são explicativos demais, como se os roteiristas não confiassem que o público vai entender sozinho. Tem muito personagem dizendo o óbvio, como se tivessem que desenhar tudo. E ao mesmo tempo, faltam momentos mais naturais pra gente se apegar de verdade aos personagens. O desenvolvimento das relações acontece muito no automático. Parece que o roteiro foi seguindo uma lista: cena de ciúme? Confere. Descoberta trágica? Confere. Beijo depois da ameaça de morte? Confere. E pronto, seguimos.

O pior é que quando o roteiro tenta ser profundo, escorrega. A questão da origem do sangue do Tong, o passado do Mark, a ameaça do irmão vilão, tudo é tratado de forma meio superficial. São temas que poderiam render bem mais, mas que acabam resolvidos rápido demais ou jogados no final como se não fossem tão importantes. E aí fica aquela sensação de que a série teve medo de aprofundar.

Agora, sobre os efeitos… tem umas cenas que eu juro que quase desliguei. Tem pulo de janela que parece vídeo de videogame antigo, vampiro correndo no escuro com rastro de luz atrás, que era pra ser dramático, mas ficou tosco. E as lutas? Claramente cortadas pra esconder que não sabiam coreografar direito. Em vez de criar tensão, dá risada. É como se o orçamento tivesse acabado na maquiagem do primeiro episódio.

O engraçado é que a série tem uma estética que podia funcionar. As cores, a iluminação, a trilha sonora, tudo conversa com essa ideia sensual e sombria do universo vampírico. Só que o efeito especial mal feito quebra o clima. Em vez de entrar na cena, você sai. Você lembra que tá vendo uma série, e pior: uma série que podia ser melhor se tivesse um pouco mais de esmero.

Mesmo assim, confesso que o casal me pegou. Gawin entrega bem como o Tong, tem uma vulnerabilidade sincera ali, e o Joss, mesmo com aquele jeitão travado, convence como vampiro que tenta controlar os próprios instintos. O romance deles tem uma intensidade boa, sem exagero. É mais no olhar, no gesto contido, nas cenas de silêncio do que no texto. Pelo menos isso segura o clima.

Mas no geral, My Golden Blood é mais promissora do que bem executada. A ideia era boa, o universo tinha potencial, mas faltou coragem no roteiro e capricho na produção. Fica aquela sensação de "quase". Quase foi uma grande série. Quase foi inesquecível. Quase me arrancou um surto. Mas parou no meio do caminho.

No fim, eu me importei, sim. O casal tem química. A história por mais superficial que fosse, me prendeu. Mas se alguém me perguntar se é maravilhosa… eu vou respirar fundo e responder: é boa, mas precisava de mais cuidado. Porque, sinceramente, com um roteiro mais afiado e efeitos menos vergonhosos, ela podia ter sido muito mais do que só “ok”.

I was actually scared at first but I really admired Jossun's acting, especially his chemistry with Gawin is extremely good, I really liked it. Both the plot and the acting of the series, in my opinion, the best plot and couple chemistry ever made. Especially Joosun's calm, quiet but wise demeanor despite being his first BL series, and although I haven't fully grasped the story yet, I really like the chemistry between Mark and Tong, and I know that no matter what, Mark will take good care of baby Tong. Essa série superou minhas expectativas, os ultimos dois BLs tailandeses sobre vampiros eu odiei, um nem cheguei a terminar. Mas aqui foi diferente, e hoje assistindo ao último episódio pude comprovar isso. É claro que não está isenta de falhas, mas tem tudo o que queremos numa série, pois nos faz chorar, rir, ter ódio, enlouquecer com a sensualidade dos protagonistas, se surpreender com uma reviravolta e ficar satisfeito com o desfecho final. Faz mais de 1 ano que nenhuma série ousa ameaçar o lugar da minha série tailandesa favorita que é Last Twilight, e hoje eu falo com toda certeza que My Golden Blood chegou lá, irão ocupar o primeiro lugar juntas. Obrigado GMMTV, por ter nos presenteado com essa série e por ter inserido o Joss no mundo dos BLs, pois ele e o Fluke desenvolveram uma química espetacular.

Efeitos Visuais FRACOS, mas tem ótimo ROTEIRO!

Foi perfeito, pena que terminou! A produção pode deixar a desejar alguns por ter uma direção de fotografia baixa, uma história que não é "tão envolvente" ao ponto de ficar intrigado, e efeitos visuais usados no BL que não são lá aquela coisa, no entanto conseguiram entregar uma narrativa que se desenvolveu muito bem do começo ao fim, trazendo para nós uma história romântica, linda e fofa. Eu gostei da atuação do Joss e o Gawin e a química que eles conseguiram construir durante o BL (Algo que não esperava, mas me surpreendeu). E claro, gostei também do elenco em geral, principalmente dos personagens Thara e Nakan, que fizeram ali ótimos antagonistas. Já a OST é maravilhosa! Tocaram algumas músicas, como da vinheta, que adorei e escutaria, porém esporadicamente.

Portanto, eu achei que foi bom o BL. Com isso, minha nota para My Golden Blood é 8.5!

La acepto con todos sus defectos

Que serie por favor! Empezando por la trama: está muy buena y bastante bien trabajada teniendo en cuenta la complejidad de hacer una serie fantástica pero buscando cierto realismo, marcado por ejemplo en el proceso de Tong de aceptar su condición. Es bastante jugada y dieron una buena serie, especialmente porque pese a que la trama tenía todas las chances de opacar al romance, eso JAMAS paso. La tensión sexual entre los protagonistas está presente desde el minuto uno, y avanza hacia un amor pasional y de lo más intenso que logran transmitir muy bien, siendo el romance la estrella de esta serie pese a todas las problemáticas planteadas. Aún así no cayó en el cliché porque nos dieron drama y creatividad en el planteo, mostrando cómo Mark se "humanizaba", por ejemplo, y un buen plot twist hacia el final.
Sus puntos en contra fueron los efectos especiales que no estaban bien logrados y me sacaban de onda cada vez que aparecían. Otra cosa es que hubiera venido bien un poco más de realismo, había momentos que estaban normalmente como en una comedia romántica como si no los estuvieran buscando para matarlos JSJS y me descolocaba un poco, pero sobre todo, lo que menos me gustó fue el final. Me parecio un montón que Mark sea capaz de matar a Tong, y si, revivió y todo muy lindo pero me dejó una mala sensación, al igual que la muerte de absolutamente TODOS los personajes jsjs es tipo bueno ¿ALGO MAS?
Lo sentí muy apurado y tanto así que quedaron varios baches argumentativos sobre los efectos de la sangre dorada, tanto el poder como la humanización, entre otras cuestiones que quedaron sin ser respondidas, amaria que esto continúe en una segunda temporada💐

É boa, mas poderia ter sido melhor!

Tive a impressão de que a série foi feita às pressas e tiverem medo de ousar e arriscar tanto na produção, quanto no roteiro. Os efeitos visuais não me incomodaram (nunca esperei algo do nível Hollywood), mas algumas problemas técnicos de baixo orçamento são perceptíveis. A história é interessante, as atuações são boas, a trilha sonora é perfeita. Mas faltou ousadia e mais investimento da produtora aqui. Para mim pareceu mais um teste para ver a recepção do público, do que uma aposta em outros tipos de produções. Espero que eles arrisquem mais e continuem apostando em mais histórias diferentes das convencionais.

Uau, uau. Pode ser minha opinião nesse humilde comentário, li muitas críticas e até estava desistindo de postar minha avaliação, mais particularmente amei.
Minha primeira bl assistida inteiramente, talvez digam que eu amei porque é minha primeira, porém discordo.

P.s: Se eu tivesse lido as críticas antes de conhecer a série, tenho certeza que teria desistindo no meio do caminho. Todos temos gostos diferentes. Então não desista apenas por ter lido uma crítica. Deixe sua imaginação te levar e você tire suas conclusões.

A história em si teve algumas falhas, o que é muito normal, porém os personagens, E QUE personagens né?!

Mais voltando ao importante, eu realmente gostei e não mudarei de opinião, assistiria mil vezes se fosse preciso, amei Mark o jeito que ele era protetor e não tão ciumento ao ponto de sufocar o companheiro. Além de ser um maravilhoso vampiro e ter um sorriso lindo, vocês viram as covinhas né, apaixonei.

Amei Tong e ri de algumas coisas, porque realmente acho que ele é parecido comigo, mais eu sou mais derretida, ele confiou no companheiro e se sacrificou por todos eles a todo momento. Maravilhoso ator.

Também tem o Tonkla e o Nakan, não sei como estou lembrado o nome de todos esses atores, talvez eu esteja virando uma fã de bl's mesmo, todos amam o Neo (Tonkla), particularmente não sei porque, ele foi bom, é fofo, estou assistindo outras séries que contêm ele como ator e estou preferindo ele nas outras do que nessa, porque o personagem dele foi sem sal.

Porém o Nakan, me apaixonei desde o princípio, eu sabia que não era ele, não sei como mais eu sabia que não. Amei o "Surpresa" nunca esquecerei dessa cena.

Pra quem ama clichê como eu tem que assistir, pra quem ama vampiro, recomendo assistir e pra quem ama "clichê vampiro" deve assistir essa série. Foi um ótimo roteiro, mesmo contendo uma falhas despercebidas, e um final emocionante. Amei cada parte e sou muito fã de "JossGawin". Estou louca pra assistir a próxima série deles juntos como ship fixos.

Sim, existe uma chance de eu criticar negativamente alguma série, mas no momento não foi essa, talvez não exista uma perfeita. Mais sempre vai ter uma que amamos mais e outras menos e também talvez algum dia terá uma horrível o suficiente que não dará pra assistir de tão ruim.

Amo i Vampiri!

O mio dio l’ho amato alla follia, avrei tantissime cose da dire, parto dal presupposto che hanno recitato tutti i miei malesseri della gmmtv, (Neo, Mond, Gawin, Joss e Aj) e questo mi ha fatto impazzire.
Non capisco perché abbia un voto generale così basso, perché io gli ho dato 9.5 ma sinceramente sono io che amo le storie dei vampiri, questa l’ho apprezzata tantissimo, già dall’inizio il fatto che Mark vegliasse su Tong da quando era piccolo.
Ho trovato anche molti colpi di scena niente male, ed i personaggi erano strutturati bene.
Non avevo mai visto un BL con Joss e Gawin, questo era il primo, e devo dire che mi hanno veramente sorpreso, li ho apprezzati tanto, e li trovo veramente carinissimi, sono stati anche molto sdolcinati nei loro ruoli, cosa che di solito mi da fastidio, ma qui l’ho apprezzata.
Proseguendo, cosa che non è scontata, le scene intime, a parer mio erano perfette, bellissime, non erano imbarazzanti, e molto equilibrate, esattamente come le vorrei in ogni BL.
Passando a parlare dei personaggi, io mio preferito, forse inaspettato, è stato Nakan, l’ho letteralmente amato alla fine, lo sviluppo del suo personaggio è fantastico, infatti all’inizio non lo sopportavo.
Personaggio più antipatico assolutamente Thara, quanto l’ho odiata! Però tutti i ruoli sono stati interpretati molto bene.
P.s. ho sperato tanto in un qualcosa tra Nakan e Tonkla, mi era partita la ship hahahha.
E niente, ho messo questo BL nella mia top 4 preferiti, amo le vibes vampiresche che mi ha trasmesso!

My Golden Blood: Almost Rusty Gold

My Golden Blood isn't bad. But it's not a masterpiece either.

When the series was announced in 2023, I didn't know what to expect, but when another BL by Joss and Gawin was announced in 2024 without even an official trailer, I knew that everything in this series would be a test, and that regardless of the outcome, GMMTV was betting on them.

The series tells the story of Tong (Fluke Gawin Caskey), an orphan sent to an orphanage for having extremely powerful blood for vampires, golden blood. Mark, a vampire close to the “leader,” has the job of protecting him until he turns 21, the age when golden blood becomes “pure.”

Well, the series has its strengths and weaknesses in a good balance, if I may say so. And in the middle ground is how I can define the series as a whole. I enjoyed seeing Joss and Gawin together, I found the premise of the series interesting, but I got angry, I got bored at times, and at other times I was slightly static, wondering about the budget for three hot sandwiches and a sugarcane juice in this series.

1. PowerPoint dialogues
Everything in this series, EVERYTHING, is explained in detail. They always have dialogues that talk about everything that is happening, feeling, and MAINLY about the story. At no point could I draw conclusions or ask questions without first having a flashback thrown in my face, explaining almost everything that happened in bullet points. And this usually happened after a scene that made me pause the scene and wonder what I was watching. Everything happens as if it were an essay, in topics, one thing after another, nothing simultaneous or even spontaneous.

Which brings us to the second topic.

2. Non-special effects.
With a budget of two Big Macs, they only delivered one Big Mac; they ate the other one. I can't put into words how I felt at certain moments, pausing the series and watching the scene statically. Scenes like the one where they throw glitter around at the end, and the one in the first episode where they left through the window, partially paper, I can't explain. The green screen also annoyed me at times, in the dreams for example. I wondered a lot about what things would be like in the future if we're talking about special effects at this company.

3. The golden chemistry of JossGawin
I can't say what I expected from the two. I had seen Gawin's work before, so I knew what to expect from him, but I had never seen anything from Joss. Gawin delivered humanity, I could feel from his expressions that he gave himself over, not only the actor to the character but the character to the situation as well. Joss conveyed his feeling of being a soulless, robotic vampire, but I saw that as the goal, he wanted to be robotic and apathetic, because there were moments when it was obvious that someone was trying to suppress their feelings. And that's how Mark felt, that's how the character should be.
The two had chemistry, they made me interested in seeing them together and learning about them, seeing them together was interesting, they made me ship them (I don't like that word, but there's no other) and look forward to seeing more scenes with them. And I really believe they had an investment and faith in this couple, especially how they were treated in terms of marketing, but I'm not here to talk about that.
In My Golden Blood, I felt their chemistry, the characters' chemistry, and especially the actors' chemistry. Together they made a good couple. And I really think they're going to wreak havoc in the second season of Only Friends.

4. Middle ground
Everything in this series is almost there. The plot itself was extremely promising, everything could have gone very well, but nothing was really explored in depth. Everything was superficial. The story with Nakan (Mond Tanutchai) was interesting, but there are several things that don't make sense in the series, moments of anger when Nakan was alone with Tong and did nothing. the character seemed to want what made sense in the series, I need someone good here, so Nakan will be good, and the same happened in other situations, he wasn't even an anti-hero. Thara's (Um Apasiri) story is not predictable, but the way she was shielded throughout the series to reach the end and be defeated in a much simpler way than the series led me to believe. The college plot and Tonka (Neo Trai) dying. Several twists happened, and the point is not to say that the plots were unnecessary, but that the execution was terrible.


The series does not disappoint in more technical aspects (besides the special effects), the sets, the direction as a whole, the costumes, the colors, and the soundtrack. But the main points were left out, the series kept me hooked, I wanted to know what happened next week, but not for long.

My Golden Blood, a series that could have been almost something. It was a test in many areas, in special effects, in the couple itself, and even in the area of vampire series, since the day I write this review is the day after the release of the BounPrem series on the same theme. The series was superficial, almost as if they preferred to receive criticism for being superficial rather than criticism for going deeper and getting it wrong. Is the series bad? No. But it's not a masterpiece either.
The promise of a good story remained just that: a promise. In terms of “vampire BLs,” My Golden Blood stood out, but you can't be satisfied with just being OK, not when it comes to this universe.

What really makes the series special is how it treats love as something almost sacred — dangerous, overwhelming, but worth bleeding for. The scenes between them glow (sometimes literally), and even the quieter moments feel charged, like there’s always something unspoken hovering in the air.

By the end, My Golden Blood leaves that familiar vampire-lover ache: the longing, the beauty, the fear, and the hope twisted together. Not perfect, but deeply atmospheric — the kind of BL you watch late at night with the lights off, letting the romance and the shadows swallow you whole.
