Why am I giggling my ass off while rotting in bed??? I'm so single it hurts. I love the plot wrapped up nicely and I loved the chemistry between the actors. Even though I can handle miscommunication, this one irked me a bit, but I can understand why though. My favorite parts were their moments together in the lane and him simping over the female lead. I loved his acts of service and her words of affirmation for him. I am glad this show did not have an official second couple because I liked how they stayed good buddies. I liked how Pei Zhen was not a fully good person and would love to see what he does with his life now. I can imagine the main couples wedding perfectly. Absolutely loved this drama.
The connection between ML And FL was incredible. The actors all did an amazing job. I honestly can't find fault with this drama.I'm usually one to prefer the second ML but not this time. Although the 2nd lead was so handsome I still prefer the ML. I actually felt really bad for the second lead, with such a jerk for a father. I just had to write this review even though I still have 4 more episodes to watch.

it was 10/10 until eps 23&24
I thought all of the characters were written so well, the actors were great, everything was delightful. Then the writers decided to ruin the good vibes. I wish I could erase the nonsense and damage done to the integrity of the female lead character in those later episodes—she went from being mature, direct, and thoughtful to frustratingly irrational. Could have been the ultimate, so disappointed. Hoping the last 5 salvage the nosedive writing somehow. Still 1-22, peak writing and story. Low music rating because half the songs feel like AI slop lyrics. I will likely try rewatching this show again as a comfort and skip these episodes because it had made me so happy otherwise! Good Concept, Weak Chemistry, Missed Potential
I really tried with this one. I’m already at ep 24/28—so yes, my time was graciously given.The VR concept was interesting but also strangely awkward. Unfortunately, the real-life storyline is very underwhelming, with a plot that never truly stands out. Despite the intense level of togetherness—playing a VR game together, cohabiting, and working side by side—I expected at least some spark. But the chemistry simply never shows up. The relationship jumps from ambiguous to push-and-pull to officially together, without any real tension, giddiness, or emotional build-up. That moment when a romance is supposed to click? It never does.
Lu Yu Xiao’s rambling, awkward line delivery didn’t work for me here. While this style suited Blossoms in Adversity and she was genuinely good in My Journey to You, it felt misplaced in this role. Chen Xing Xu also felt unusually restrained, which is disappointing considering how strong his chemistry was in My Boss and Love on the Turquoise Land. His performances tend to shine more when paired with a stronger or lighter, funnier female lead.
Instead, both characters feel emotionally flat, failing to balance each other out and only amplifying the dullness. Even the comedy falls flat. Overall, not terrible—but definitely underwhelming given the cast and premise.

The same annoying story
I'm so tired of this story, when the girl finds that ML father was involved in a accident and broke up. WTF HAS TO DO THE FHATER MISTAKE WITH HIS SON... her reactions was like he killed someone. So disappointing of her ...I was ready for a clean 10.
I was happy to see finally a FL mature, direct and smart in Chinese drama... but this...
I cant stand her parents. Her behavior was terrible in 23-24.

How about his pain, his father died. And her speech was like he was the killer.

But I can say that their chemistry is PERFECT.

A Fl that is acting good, she is very beautiful, perfect for this role and mature, not a spoiled teenager emotional shit thing...
Cant stand the SFL, she looks like she is on drugs all the time, like she is dead, and the stepbrother was cute in a way but awful...
hope one day to see a beautiful, mature drama with healthy mental and emotional behavior and new innovative story.

Comfortable and Cozy drama.
It’s a beautiful drama about two people embarking on a journey of love and healing. The actors have done a wonderful job. While the story isn’t particularly groundbreaking and many events are predictable, the performances elevate it and make it truly engaging. The chemistry between Lu Yuxiao and CXX was great, but the chemistry between Miss Lu and Dai Xu is even more compelling and intriguing. There are many scenes that are genuinely funny and quirky. The FL has great comedic timing and is a joy to watch—she could easily pull off a comedian role.The part where the FL and ML live together in the small apartment was an especially cute and heartwarming phase of the drama.
I’d give the cinematography a solid 10/10—the framing was consistently beautiful, and the background music complemented the scenes perfectly.

Beautiful world building, lost me near the end
I got hooked in by the murder mystery game and how magical the production was in that world. Getting into the narrative of the show I thought the characters weren't as goofy as in other dramas where I'm constantly cringing and begging for a serious moment. It was very well paced and I felt like we were really given time to settle in with the dynamics between all of the characters. And they made me actually care about the architecture industry for a bit, it takes some dedication to take the professional context of a romance drama that seriously and I appreciated it.I didn't particularly dislike Pei Zhen for most of it. The story made it easy to empathize with him, and he really just wanted something to brighten up his life. I liked him as a foil to Xiao Zhi Yu. He definitely wasn't right for Hu Xiu though, and behaved immaturely toward her and Xiao Zhi Yu.
I wish the murder mystery game had been more important to the plot, like if it was a genuine hobby the main characters were committed to and they immersed themselves in that world fully as a pastime, because I liked how they expressed themselves when they were in game and I wish I could've seen more play running tandem with the drama. Also I play role playing games with friends so I'm a bit biased.
I really just dropped it because I didn't like how Hu Xiu treated Xiao Zhi Yu when her parents got to her first about his past. In general I really can't imagine blaming the son for the alleged actions of his (dead) father. Especially like, if she knows who his father is now she knows how his father died and that Xiao Zhi Yu was young when it happened, hello, don't you love that man and want to comfort him over that major trauma? Plus he's had to keep it secret his whole life to make a living and y'all are just now getting close. I skipped ahead a few episodes to see what they made of all that just to see her crying about him keeping secrets again. That's when I knew I'd lost interest.
That being said, the first half or so of the season was so engaging I will watch it again just to experience that. And I still would recommend it, because it was so much fun for a while I was certain I would finish it, and I've never been certain of that with a drama before.

LOVEDDD the VR/murder game plot. ugh that’s so cool and cute. i wish they kept using it tho instead of shifting to a business/office romance. this was ok tho!! loveddd the chemistry and the relationship + it’s development. other dramas can be jsut so bland and no build up but this one was loveeelyyy an i love a good cheating plot with the bff and a bf that would do anything for you. i don’t rly like the ML actor but bc the chemistry and love plot was so good, i enjoyed this. and obvi hate all the business plots cuz BOOORING. First cdrama of 2026, sets high standard
Love, love, love this drama!Great casting. I especially like the FL. I think she carries the drama, though the ML is nothing to sneeze at. He does aloof male perfectly, not annoyingly.
I'm a bit sad about the FL's BF. She made the right choice and there's hope in her storyline...still, it's sad.
I like the ML's BF. He's funny.
ML's backstory...probably the most tear inducing.
There's redemption in the RL's arc, which is nice.
The one thing that annoyed me is how often the FL drops stuff when she's kissed. You can be kissed and still hold on to something in your hand. Really, it's possible.

I was in a modern C-drama slump but not anymore!!
Some thoughts on this drama...1. Undeniably amazing chemistry. ML's character development and actors potryal of it was just amazing! he started off cold, and the actor perfectly showed it, and then as he got more involved with her, the actor's portrayal was so good. Both ML and FL did so amazingly.
2. FL's hairstyle changed after she was in love!!! Hairy theory!!!
3. Maybe I am the only one, but I feel like they moved away too fast from the best friend's ex-husband. I for sure thought he was going to come into to play again, but nope, she moved on too, which I was honestly surprised about. But if you think about it, their relationship was very taxing on each other. He was consistently apologizing for missing or being late or whatever, and she was letting it go.
I had hoped she would acknowledge that kiss was a misunderstanding or whatever, but they were breaking from the start and needed to leave each other. So amicably end stuff, but I guess not.
4. SML was perfectly portrayed. At times I even thought he might be in the lead and they would add a reciprocal love triangle, but our FL was very smitten with her man lol.
5. The men's outfits in this show were TOP FREAKING NOTCH from the VR to IRL!
6. ML's mom doesn't really deserve much grace imo. She didn't even show the anger ML's dad deserved!! She wasn't even a little bit curious her whole life and just took things as they were. Also, why did she even end up with her husband's business partner?? Like, what's the lore behind that??
Overall, the last time i was this obsessed with a drama and was searching up every edit of the couple was Prisoner of Beauty, The Best Thing, and WBDB, and now this! I am so in love with them and how well the actors portrayed their characters. I love how steady they both were, but careful going into the relationship. And once they were dating, it was all in!! 10/10 drama
