This is for the people that are thinking about watching this. I'm giving you my honest opinion
I'm gonna say when it gets episode eight and nine it's very slow now if you love slow movies and shows you might fall in love with it, but I personally didn't like it. I did watch it all the way through because I was already too far to drop it. It was painfully cringe and bad. My problem with this show is the plot was kinda all over the place it was too much for me and then to say the chemistry between them was completely off it really wasn't about love. It really questioned my sanity while I was watching it. It was very confusing. It wasn't straight to the point. They kind of dragged it out. I'm saying this for people that don't have a lot of time and you want people's honest review I'm giving it to you because the cd have way too many long episodes which could be good and bad depending on if you like it and and this is a show I wouldn't recommend but you have to go and see for yourself. I do have some C dramas that I would recommend if you need anything. I have some cd that you actually want to sit down for a long time and watch it hit me up if you want any. sorry for just being long. Just wanted to make sure I got every part .byeee✌🏾Was this review helpful to you?
I tried really hard to finish but could not!!
The story in the beginning was pretty good and caught my attention. I would say episode 1 to 5 was good. Then I dropped it for a while. I came back to it because I really like the actress bai lu. I love so many of her movies but this one was just beyond okay. I could not watch it. I could not even finish it after watching almost 30 episodes. The story just got worse and worse. I think I have two more episodes left and I could not finish it!! The seriously has never happened and I dreafd going back to the last two episodes because I think it's going to be bad! That's near 2 hrs of more of this show I don't know if the ending will be worth it. The show was very draggy and made no sense in many of the episodes. I didn't read the books and I'm not really into the author or the story. I just look at Chinese dramas just because. So maybe if you're into the story of the author etc this may be for you. The costumes look very good and the actors and actress performed well but the story line is just terrible for me.Was this review helpful to you?
Started strong but took a ridiculous turn
I was fully engaged until the incredible twist in Episode 11. I can suspend disbelief for a good drama, but this was just too far from what went on beforehand. Until that point, I thought this was an enemies to lovers romance drama, but it is--as the title indicates--just a grudge. I kept on, despite the rankling disappointment, but it became like one of those stories you write with classmates, where I write a start, then the next person writes a part and usually thinks it's funny to completely change the storyline, and then the next person adds their ridiculous turn and so on. I'm not sure how a BaiLu drama could turn out this badly (I LOVE her), but unless you're into revenge plots, this one is a miss. Was this review helpful to you?

Underrated. Misjudged. Emotionally Wrecking. A Stunning Journey from Start to Finish. ?
I just finished Lament of the River Immortal (临江仙), and honestly? I don’t even know how to recover. This drama came in looking like a simple xianxia — and left like a quiet emotional bomb. I went in expecting fluff and pretty aesthetics, and came out with heartbreak, plot twists, healing, and characters I still can’t get out of my head. What Makes This Drama Special:
1. The Story – Not Your Typical "Immortal Love" Rehash
This isn't just about immortals falling in love and fighting fate. It's about two people — lovers — who descend into the mortal realm for a love trial, only to end up torn apart by misunderstandings, manipulated by those around them, and pulled into a brutal cycle of mistrust and revenge.
And yet, the way the story rebuilds their relationship from enemies back to lovers again is so satisfying. Nothing feels rushed. Every misstep has weight. Every reconciliation has emotional payoff. It’s slow-burn, yes — but it burns right.
2. The Characters – Complex, Flawed, Human (Even When Immortal)
The main leads aren’t perfect. They make mistakes. They doubt each other. But they also learn. And grow. And communicate. Watching the female lead’s emotional collapse, her thirst for revenge, and eventual realization of the truth — it hurt. And watching the male lead — even through memory loss — still gravitate back to her? That was beautiful.
His amnesia phase? Surprisingly wholesome and heartwarming. I expected it to drag — but it brought so much softness and balance after all the heartbreak.
3. The Acting – 10/10, No Skips
Let’s talk about the leads. Bailu and Joseph delivered. There were entire scenes where no words were needed — just the micro-expressions, the emotion in their eyes. Their chemistry was insane. Whether they were in love, at odds, or silently aching — you felt it.
Even the supporting cast did great, and yes, the villain arc actually had depth. It wasn’t just evil-for-evil’s-sake — everything had a backstory, a motive.
4. The OST – Goosebumps. Tears. Saved to Playlist.
Giving this soundtrack a 1.0 rating should be a punishable offense tbh. The OST is hauntingly beautiful, and fits every major scene like a glove. I’ve already seen it blowing up on Xiaohongshu and being covered by vocalists — and for good reason. It elevates the emotional beats of the story in a massive way.
5. The Ending – You Will Cry, But You’ll Also Smile.
For a show that dragged me through emotional glass, I was so scared the ending would leave me empty. But it didn’t. The ending is hopeful, healing, and full-circle. It doesn’t erase the pain — it respects it. And that’s why it lands so well.
To the Ones Who Dropped It at Episode 4:
Look, I get it — not every show is for everyone. That’s the beauty of personal taste. But if you’re going to rate an entire drama as a 1.0 — based on four episodes — and call it “childish,” “absurd,” or “a waste of talent”? That’s not critique. That’s impatience trying to wear a critic’s hat.
Slow burns exist for a reason. They build. They layer. Feud doesn’t give you all the answers in the first act — because it’s not supposed to. The pain, the confusion, the “Why is he doing this?” — it’s all intentional. And trust me, once the truths start unraveling, everything hits differently.
You’re allowed to dislike a show. That’s valid.
But to drag down the cast, the music, the entire production just because you didn’t wait for the payoff? That’s not being objective — that’s throwing a tantrum with a keyboard.
Final Thoughts:
This drama was never meant to be “easy.”
It’s meant to be earned. And once it is? It’s unforgettable.
For those who love:
Emotional storylines with real consequences
Character-driven romance with heavy angst
Plot twists, painful reveals, and eventual healing
Beautiful OSTs that make you cry on cue
Actual growth and communication between leads
This is your drama. And it’s worth every minute.
Feud is not perfect, but it’s powerful.
And if you give it the time it deserves — it’ll stay with you long after the screen fades to black. 🫶

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Contains spoiler.I loved it. I was so unsure and afraid because of the producer. But it's 10/10 for the Acting and best CP. Best thing was they loved each other so much. There could never be anyone else for any of them. The smile HRY had when she first saw him. Only Bai Lu can act with her eyes so good. If u look at it the problems between them was not far fetched. Lack of communication if only he would have said he has to go for the punishment. She also didn't communicated properly about helping humans. When she killed the dragon she was very impulsive.
But the beauty of this drama is both of them learned from their mistakes. She realised she was being stubborn without knowing full truth. And he finally let her kill him willingly. 🤣
I pity people who divided teams for which one is wrong and who's right. Because they both were in the same team. She never stopped loving him. When she finally said I love u too when he died it was the most beautifully saddening thing. Bai Lu is a crying goddess. She have this switch where she starts crying and i automatically start tearing up.
*Things I liked*
1. The HRY' mortal suffering and her illusion she created for BJS were so beautifully put together the writers really did amazing on that. I was mind blown when i saw similarities between them Like how Shiyan and Tao were both bullied for not having father. Then I remember how much Tao wanted to call BJS father I cried so much.
2. The freking acting the visuals of both BL and ZSX. They were absolutely perfect for this and served so much only if they have given passionate kiss because the writers failed to show the firing chemistry of them which are they so much capable of. Still the acting was 10/10. That kid BJS who remembered nothing but her wife was so cute. And how his sword healed her first thing during main fight. He was aloof and cold but really loved HRY.
3. No toxic 2nd mls. 2ml loved her but he was never irritating. Plus she shunned him completely. I loved how Fan Linger said - she have only 1 men in her heart she may hate him or love him but no one can take his place.
*Disliked*
1) They absolutely should have added more scenes of when they first met. How they fought and he asked her to marry because they both must have silently loved eo for so many years.
2) The finale villian should have been Heavenly Emissary. I think he's auro was so mysterious and held so much power that he would have been the perfect guy to fight against HRY and BJS. I couldn't connect with the main villian.

Piecing together the puzzle
This drama utilizes non-linear storytelling, which means the audience isn’t meant to grasp every detail immediately. Certain revelations only make sense as the narrative unfolds. For example, after watching episodes 23,I felt compelled to revisit earlier scenes and realized just how remarkably kind she was much more so than I would have been in her place. I genuinely admire this style of storytelling; it’s intellectually stimulating and keeps the viewers engaged as they piece together the story. They ML and FL are not the only one having Feud even the viewers have Feud.If you don’t have patience and don’t like using your cognitive skills, don’t start this drama. You might find yourself annoyed, maybe by the editing and by the dubbing especially if you’re used to the FL’s original voice. First of all, it was the producer’s decision to do it this way. But overall, you’ll get used to it after a few episodes. The actors all did a great job. In the end, just enjoy the drama!🔥👌🏾🤝🏽Feud is a Banger✅️

Loved it!
Excellent drama and cast! Lived up to the expectations.I love Bailu's dramas so I knew she wasn't going to disappoint but what left me loving this drama even more, it is the pairing with Joseph, chef kiss. Hope to see more future collaborations between these 2.
Feud had me waiting like crazy for the next episode to drop. I felt all the emotions, happiness, anger and pain.

do not pass this drama. WATCH ITTTTTT
11/10 masterpiece. i loveeeeeeeeee it and their chemistry. didnt get bored at all😛some deaths were unnecessary though. The intro where Bai Lu sings the ost is my favourite cdrama ost now. beside the prisoner of beauty i think feud is my another fav drama of 2025. If you are hesitating on whether you wanna watch this or not, WATCH IT DO NOT MISS IT. or drop it just because of the misunderstanding because everything will be worth it. BOTH SIDES WERE NOT AT FAULT. so if u drop this js because of the voice dubbing or the misunderstanding, you are missing out. acting ofc didnt disappoint! Both leads carried and ofc Bai Lu served, second time watching Zeng Shunxi and his acting is so good here his eyes expresses his emotions too. The episode where he had a child mindset was the best despite all the chaos going on. 😇😇😇AMAZINGGG chemistry, plot, writing, visuals, cinematography, fighting scenes, ost and plot twists. this might be the xianxia u are searching for😼😼Was this review helpful to you?

Started off nicely, with a beautiful cinematography, interesting plot and characters. And then ended up a complete mess. I hated Bai Jiusi and Li Qingyue and Hua Ru Yue. So much drama, personal grudges, hatred and romance at the same time just made the story complicated. I totally understand that this is a revenge plot , love and hatred at the same time but losing a child because of a man doesn’t seem like a good enough reason to take that kind of revenge. And I don’t mean revenge in general, but more precisely the fact that Ru Yue decided to fool him be all lovey dovey with him, pretend to be innocent and then get her revenge, it just seemed so out of nowhere. Despite all that, I really enjoyed the storytelling, how the secrets were unfolded and the ending, I believe it was suitable for the story. Them starting over was necessary after all this drama 😀 Was this review helpful to you?

NOT YOUR TYPICAL XIANXIA ROMANCE
As the name suggests.. it's Feud. This isn't your typical girl meets boy, they fall in love, boy does something bad to girl and she somehow forgives him and they happily ever after. This is a heavy, gut wrenching story. First few episodes would look like your typical xianxia drama. Cold immortal meet sunshine girl, she marries him and he treats her bad.. but then bam! You're hit with a twist. And when you think you know everything, bam! Another twist. The story is so good and captivating yet it makes your brain work HARD. It's not everyday you see a strong story like this. Now on to the actors, BaiLu. I'm a fan of BaiLu but even without being biased, her acting is her strongest suit. Specially the crying scenes. The way she cries will make you cry. Her acting never disappoints. I've watched Cdrama for 8-7 years yet I've never found a cdrama actress as good as her.
Joseph zheng isn't bad. I've never watched him in other dramas,so I cannot actually judge his skills entirely based on this drama. So I'll let you all judge. Anyway, I've written a long review but at the end I'd say, this drama is too good. Storyline is really good. I'd recommend this to any cdrama/xianxia drama lover.

“Strong Chemistry and Twists Make Feud a Must-Watch Revenge Drama”
Feud is a rollercoaster of emotions! The pacing is quick sometimes almost too rushed but it never gets boring. Bai Lu’s portrayal of a woman seeking justice is powerful, and Joseph Zeng adds real depth as her complicated love interest. Sure, the CGI and some costumes can be a bit off, but the strong chemistry and dramatic tension more than make up for it.The plot twists kept me guessing, and the romantic moments felt genuine. If you enjoy revenge dramas with romance and suspense, Feud is definitely worth watching.

The Unpredictable fantasy Story
This drama si amazing from the plot, cinematography, the values it wants to convey, the acting skills of the female and male lead. It highlights how good they are. While watching you will feel excited, irritated, happy, lovey-dovey and all. It will brings out all your emotions and at the same time understand both sides why they do such thing. Was this review helpful to you?
