Bonus points for the cat. Always bonus points for the cat.
This was incredibly sweet and clearly pandered to the fans of SOTUS and KristSingto.Don’t get me wrong — I loved the show and had a blast watching it. I screamed at some scenes, cried at others, and absolutely enjoyed all the hidden Easter eggs. It’s a sweet cheese fest with a pinch of angst and and some pining which is always appreciated.
But I also have to be honest with myself: the plot was… cliche.
Yeah, they deserved something more thrilling. More innovative. More shocking. I don’t know — something Emmy-worthy! You get what I mean, right? Something extraordinary. Something that says, “Yes, this is art.”
Am I being dramatic? Possibly. Do I care? Not really. Let me have my dramatic monologue.
This was super cute and delightfully silly (seriously though, who goes into the sea with an open wound? Antibiotics said “noооо”). But it was also so much fun! Just a light, fluffy romance with two main characters… and a cat.
They both healed their hearts with each other’s support, while also coming to terms with the mistakes of their past.
I liked that it started with Phi being super rough — to the point where I actually found him kind of annoying. He definitely crossed a few lines. But as it turns out, he’s just terrible at managing his emotions because he’s sad and hurt. While that doesn't excuse his behavior, it does make it understandable. maybe ... Tam, on the other hand, was insecure, a little jealous, sunshine in human form, and an absolute king of flirting. It broke my heart to see how much he had lost — and how hard he tried to protect Phi from more pain.
Together, they were tender, playful, and so easy to love for. Exactly what I want in a feel-good romcom. This was a story about second chances, emotional healing, and the kind of love that teaches you to be honest — with others, and with yourself.
The girls were tolerable — a bit annoying at times, but generally funny. I have to admit, I actually liked Kaoki, and overall, they didn't bother me like female characters sometimes tend to.
Okay, I admit it – I’m a big fan of Sosay and her vet.(=^ - ^=)
All in all, this was a great series that I would recommend to anyone who loves a good romcom and lovable MCs.
7.5 stars from me — mostly because Krist and Singto deserve so much more. (Yep… I’m totally biased.)

Nice show but with no story
Watch this only if you like the two leads and don't care about anything elseI love Singto and I believe he is an astonishing actor, that is why I started this show despite not being a huge fan of the whole "getting back to your ex" thing. And he didn't disappoint, Kris and Singto carried the whole show, basically because the rest of the cast only appeared scarcely.
So if you like the two leads and enjoy watching them for the sake of watching them, then you will love this.
Aside from that, and after the first few episodes, there is literally nothing going on, just the day to day events of two normal people ( or normal exs) trying to get back together but too proud to admit they still love eachother, so they play cat and mouse, with nothing going on, the series focus is shifted towards everything aside from the show they are making, actually that show is a key part that drives their relationship, not the other way around.
Is it a bad series?? Not really but it has no story, no events, nothing to catch your attention or keep you watching or at least makes you want to reach the end.
So aside from two good leads, this show has nothing to provide ~~

solid ending
Overall: it was exciting to see Singto and Krist again with a story not about high schoolers or university students; however, one of my most hated tropes is the basis for this series which made me not rate it higher. 10 episodes about 50 minutes each. Airing on GMMTV's YouTube Channel (not available in Thailand, Korea or Japan) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLszepnkojZI6nPzMs-RhMalpGr-jA0_3C&si=cEfvTY0ErPMrmQZn and Viu (Thailand).Content Warnings: non con touching, non con video recording/sharing/outing, attempted murder, blood, manipulation
What I Liked
- great to see Singto & Krist again
- clear premise in the present
- clear flashbacks
- protect mode
- callbacks like with the engineering shirt
- once together their ongoing intimacy, good kissing
- Mix's cameo
- styling
- excellent finale
Room For Improvement
- the noble idiot trope where a person caused much more pain to the supposed love of their life than if they had talked to their loved one and told the truth, we finally learned what happened in episode 7 part 1 which made it difficult for me to enjoy their past relationship knowing how they ended up in the present and (correctly) guessing their rift was based on stupidity (if you're struggling, I suggest start at episode 5 part 3, then skip over where you see angst/anger, fairly smooth sailing episode 7/4 and onwards)
- how Tam didn't tell his mom like it was/standing up for his relationship (he had a conversation off-screen with her)
- a character told something that the mom had instructed him not to say

EX Marks the Spot
When I tell you I missed Krist and Singto, I really really did! Though SOTUS the first season was not a favorite of mine, I really loved these two. Season 2 of SOTUS is when I really started to see how compatible they were. Saw Singto in a bunch of other stuff, being paired with other people and it just didn't hit as hard. This series was such a happy surprise and I'm so glad it was really good too! The story was fun, albeit sometimes I wanted to slap Krist's character. I spent a lot of time staring at how fine Singto is. It was just a great experience! Was this review helpful to you?
Loved it!
This really was a great series, i enjoyed it very much. The storyline is very refreshing. The music and the visuals are good. When i realized i was watching the last episode i was like "nooo, i don't want it to end already".
Krist is an amazing actor and Singto is also very good. The dynamics and chemistry between them is great! They are a great match!
The whole cast did a great job, but that is what we can expect from GMMTV.
I really recommend watching this series!

Phi the Unimpressive
Not a fan of KristSingto, their previous work nor this reunion series of theirs I’ll be brief: the show left me mostly indifferent, with positives and negatives balancing each other out.On the plus side:
1/ a slight diversion from typical BL storytelling, with main characters re-discovering they’re in love (instead of falling in love) and most obstacles for them becoming a couple stemming from their troubled past (instead of current events),
2/ most of Singto’s performance and Krist’s performance in ep. 9-10,
3/ the show (mostly) focusing on Phi’s and Tam’s story and properly intertwining the romantic and professional aspects of their relationship,
4/ most of ep. 9-10 (except the time jump),
5/ cameo of Mix as a vet (watch "Vice Versa" for his another appearance in that capacity).
On the minus side:
1/ Phi in ep. 1-8,
2/ underdeveloped side plots involving supporting cast, none of which lead anywhere,
3/ Tam’s mom and almost everything about that character, which felt added only to fill ep. 8 with content and create drama/uncertainty in ep. 10,
4/ time jump in ep. 10 (like with almost all time jumps in GMMTV’s BL – utterly pointless storywise, changed nothing and served no purpose),
5/ some story aspects which made little to no sense (why would an investigative journalist consider becoming a weather presenter to be a promotion or upgrade of any kind?).
My main issue with the story is Phi. He was written for ep. 1-8 as a whiny douchebag who undergoes almost no character development and then – all of the sudden, at the very end of ep. 8 – becomes a different person. While I understand that the character was meant to be hurt, embittered, egoistic and arrogant, he comes across as genuinely unlikeable, his flaws being inexcusable. Even in the flashbacks to his student years Phi appears to be full of himself – and I had to wonder why Tam (or anyone else, like Paul) would fall for that guy in the first place. I felt no sympathy towards Phi in ep. 1 nor later and can’t understand why a character written like that was a protagonist in a BL. Once ep. 8 ends, however, Phi is a changed man (and changed in an instant, I might add, as almost nothing prior to ep. 8 end signals or indicates that Phi is undergoing a change). The show became much better and more entertaining in ep. 9 and 10, even going a bit bonkers ("Ossan’s Love" style) – none of which would be possible with Phi being his old self.

A Refreshing Take On Second Chances
I really love the concept of this BL drama — it’s honestly a breath of fresh air. We rarely get stories where exes are the main characters, and using a reporter/media angle instead of the usual office or university setup we've seen hundred times. It’s not something you see all the time in BLs, which makes The Ex-Morning stand out.The Ex-Morning tells the story of ex-lovers Phi and Tawan, who unexpectedly cross paths and end up working together — slowly rekindling the feelings they once had for each other. The plot is pretty straightforward, but it keeps you curious — like, what really happened between them? Why did they break up? It gives you that nosy feeling like you just have to know their past.
The first few scenes already felt grounded and real, and I had a feeling from the start that this series would keep me hooked. I’ve loved KrisSingto since SOTUS, but when it comes to reviews, I don’t let bias cloud my judgment. What matters to me is the storyline and how much I enjoy it. Of course, good acting is a bonus — and thankfully, The Ex-Morning delivers on that too. I was pulled in right from episode one.
There weren’t any sweet scenes at the start — they really acted like actual exes. Their constant bickering is kind of adorable. And the way they look at each other? You can tell there’s still love and care lingering between them.
Though, I do think episode 8 felt a bit off — the scene where someone secretly takes a photo of them hugging and it spreads online felt unnecessary and kind of cliché. It didn’t really add much for me.
That said, everyone plays their roles well. Kris as a reporter fits the part, and Singto once again proves he’s a versatile actor. The pacing is just right — it doesn’t drag at all. I won’t go too deep into the chemistry because, let’s be real, it’s obvious how electric they are together. And whoever styled them seriously deserves a raise — their outfits are on point every episode.
Visually, the show is stunning. The cinematography, color grading, and the soundtrack all come together beautifully. Don’t let the negative reviews turn you off — most of them just nitpick without seeing the bigger picture. Overall, this series is definitely worth watching.

the comeback of Krist-Singto
Many people are so excited about the comeback of Krist-Singto, so naturally, I’m quite curious about them too.And boy oh boy, I am glad I decided to watch them! ^^ Now I fully understand why fans are so thrilled about their comeback. Their chemistry and eye contact are truly something to look forward to every week. Sometimes, I even wish a normal couple pairing could have eye contact as intense as theirs.
Ok. Story time…
Padtaphi Sinan (Phi), a popular news anchor, falls from fame after a video of him abusing his co-anchor goes viral. As a result, he’s suspended from work and forced to sell his luxury car to cover fines imposed by sponsors.
Thankfully, he still has a loyal friend who’s willing to help him. Yong, an editor at the company, encourages him to create a new show and fight his way back from the bottom. Yong even brings in a new producer to help him. But to Phi’s surprise, the producer turns out to be none other than Tamtawan Anandabhumi (Tam) — his ex-boyfriend.
Yong had told Tam about Phi’s situation, how badly his reputation has been damaged in the country. Out of loyalty, Yong specifically asked Tam to return home just to help Phi get back on his feet. So here Tam is—back in the country, supposedly just to support Phi’s comeback. Or is that really the only reason…?
Three years ago, Tam suddenly broke up with Phi for no apparent reason and fled across the continent to Australia, where his mom lives. Tam never reached out, never clarified why it ended, not even gave a reason for the breakup. Now, facing Tam again stirs up all the pain Phi once felt—along with the lingering emotions he never truly let go of.
Now, the question is… Will their collaboration remain strictly professional until the end? Or will their unresolved feelings resurface, giving them a chance to finally close that chapter—with a happy ending this time?
And more importantly… What was the real reason Tam broke up with Phi in the first place?
That's pretty much the story without giving too much spoiler. Now what I like and don't
What I like:
+ The fiery chemistry between Krist and Singto — OMG… their eyes say everything! All the pain, the longing, the love… It’s like they were never apart in the first place. Every glance is charged with emotion.
+ The brilliant idea of incorporating Singto’s real-life departure from GMMTV into their comeback couple storyline. Using that moment as part of their comeback narrative was such a clever and meaningful touch.
+ The scene where Phi publicly admits their relationship is so powerful. Even knowing it could cost him everything—and send him back to rock bottom—he still chooses love. That moment hits hard.
+ Love how they showed us the traditional wedding to wrap up the drama. What's more, it's the first time in a BL that we've gotten a scene where we see them registering and receiving a marriage certificate.
What I feel lack:
- It’s a shame that GMMTV seems hesitant to explore Nudee and Gie’s potential as a Girls' Love (GL) pairing. I mean, come on—their chemistry is palpable. The way they look at each other, the subtle tension… you can feel the unspoken feelings. Why not just go for it and make them an official pairing? There’s clearly something there.
Overall I am really happy I can watch this. Now my homework… Watch Sotus where it all begins… Haha…

Phi & Tam: A Wasted Romance
It's hard to give a definitive opinion on this series. It's neither truly bad nor genuinely captivating. The actors' performances are flawless, but the screenplay is lacking. The initial tension between Phi and Tam, though promising, is quickly overshadowed by a rushed coupling, pushing all suspense to the side. The exploration of the television industry is an interesting idea, but unfortunately, it remains underexploited and doesn't reach its full potential.
I also hoped for a GL romance between Kaoki and Nudee, but this avenue was regrettably not pursued. Frankly, if you're not a die-hard fan of Singto and Krist, it's unlikely you'll find much to enjoy in this series.
Only the wedding scene, absolutely magnificent, managed to save the whole thing for me. It's a bright spot in a series that ultimately leaves you wanting more.

KristSingto was enough to pull me in
It still feels like a fever dream to see KristSingto on screen as a couple. What a emotional ride it was filled with nostalgia. The 10 thousands SOTUS references made it even better. Story wise might not be my favorite but chemistry wise probably one of the best of this year. As a old BL watcher this was everything for me.The fact that even after so many years KristSingto managed to pull off such amazing chemistry is amusing. The scenes made me giggle and throw my feet. Every dialogue felt so natural, every gesture felt like they were Phi and Tam. That's how great their chemistry is. As expected from the veterans.
The last 2 episodes were definitely the highlight of the series. However some scenes felt a little rushed. The plot is not as intense as I expected. The plot twists could have been directed a little better. However the romance scenes were pure joy. They did so well and so did the director.
For all old school Thai drama / bl watcher this is a must.

Sweet Gifts for Fans, Weak as a Comeback
Krist and Singto have undeniably insane chemistry, and it’s clear why Peraya fans are still waiting for them to reunite on screen. If you want solid acting, especially in emotional scenes, you can trust them to deliver. The series starts strong — the first half hooks you with anticipation about Tam’s reason for leaving. Unfortunately, once the reason is revealed, it feels weak and the story starts to fall apart. I know they were trying to tie it to real-life events from Krist and Singto, but from a romance perspective, it’s baffling. Tam’s character is written inconsistently, likely because the Thai title translates to Because My Ex Changes Often, but the concept doesn’t land well for me.
Thankfully, the series redeems itself with a stunning finale. It’s emotional, beautiful, and deserves high praise. There are also plenty of SOTUS references sprinkled throughout, which only fans of SOTUS will fully appreciate (though it’s not required viewing, you’d miss the joy of spotting those easter eggs).
The side characters, however, are confusing. The dynamic between P’Yong, Gaogie, and Nudhee shifts back and forth — at times hinting that Gaogie and Nudhee are a pair, and at others suggesting P’Yong and Gaogie are together. Fortunately, the finale gives a reasonable resolution for these three.
There are also noticeable plot holes, perhaps due to this being GMMTV’s first original script. The character writing could have been stronger, and the story would have benefited from focusing more on their work as journalists — a subplot that had the potential to be really engaging. Instead, GMMTV condensed the series into just 10 episodes, which left certain elements feeling rushed or incomplete.
Overall, this series turned out better than I expected based on the pilot. Still, it feels less like a grand comeback and more like a special project made to entertain Peraya/KristSingto fans rather than appeal to casual viewers. It’s not a great comeback series, but it does serve as a heartfelt journey for their fans.

It was okay nothing special
First of all, I have to admit I'm not a big Kristsingto fan, but I still really liked their chemistry. It felt real.Still, I have to admit that I often found the story boring, and some dramatic elements felt exaggerated or too extreme compared to the rest. The whole island story was a bit over the top for me. I have to say that I hate it 9 out of 10 times when a time skip happens because it almost always makes no sense. Two years of a long-distance relationship doesn't mean you don't see each other for two years; I can hardly imagine that a relastionship would survive a two years separation.
What was up with those two girls? I didn't get it because at one point I thought they were a side couple, but they never became one, but they acted as if they were. It was just weird. I couldn't quite relate to either character, which was a shame because I actually found them both interesting.
Still, there were some really nice moments that drew me in. Overall, it was okay.
