My happy place ♡
I'll keep this short and sweet, much like the series itself - I enjoyed this very, very much and I hope you'll give this a try and enjoy it as much as I did.The Ex Morning is not a rom - com, it is a series that is incredibly realistic and mature, it's exes reuniting after all. The story is simple. Phi is a journalist with a bad attitude who is down on his luck and Tam is his producer there to help him get back on his feet. Through a series of flashbacks and present narratives we see their love story play out, and see how the past has shaped their present lives and attitudes. Apart from the love story itself, there is the story arc of Phi climbing his way back up to being a respected and dedicated journalist with Tam's help, and surprisingly, it didn't get lost in the romance.
The romance itself is mature and grounded, sure they argue like children at times but when the narrative continuously shifts between past and present, it's easy to see just how much has changed - and just how much hasn't. They've been through plenty of ups and downs, they go through many more and despite their pleas for an end card during rom - com inspired scenes, we all know well and truly, they'll face much more.
But that was what made this great, no over the top romantic moments, no musical crescendos, just two people falling in love with each other over and over again. There were arguments and misunderstandings, but also communication and support. They are not a perfect couple, but they are perfect for each other.
Sure - the reason for why they separated in the first place left me a bit disappointed, but I kind of also get it.
I'm a sentimental person, SOTUS was my first series ever. From the outset, this was going to be something I loved, but I'm just glad I can say I love this on merit of it being a genuinely good show - and not just because I love Singto and Krist. Their chemistry (which was incredulously brilliant) was an added bonus. That chemistry has just grown exponentially and I loved every minute of them on screen. And my stupid sentimental heart is just so happy and in love with everything about this ♡

Treat for Peraya fans
For Peraya fans who’ve held onto hope for the last 6–7 years, this series is nothing short of a dream come true. It’s a beautiful blend of fun moments, gentle emotions, and a heartwarming, happy ending that leaves you smiling.Krist and Singto have reignited the magic that made us fall in love with them in the first place. Their chemistry, their comfort, their glances — everything feels so effortlessly perfect.
This isn’t just a series; it’s a long-awaited reunion we didn’t know we needed. A must-watch, especially for longtime fans.

KristSingto was enough to pull me in
It still feels like a fever dream to see KristSingto on screen as a couple. What a emotional ride it was filled with nostalgia. The 10 thousands SOTUS references made it even better. Story wise might not be my favorite but chemistry wise probably one of the best of this year. As a old BL watcher this was everything for me.The fact that even after so many years KristSingto managed to pull off such amazing chemistry is amusing. The scenes made me giggle and throw my feet. Every dialogue felt so natural, every gesture felt like they were Phi and Tam. That's how great their chemistry is. As expected from the veterans.
The last 2 episodes were definitely the highlight of the series. However some scenes felt a little rushed. The plot is not as intense as I expected. The plot twists could have been directed a little better. However the romance scenes were pure joy. They did so well and so did the director.
For all old school Thai drama / bl watcher this is a must.

Sweet Gifts for Fans, Weak as a Comeback
Krist and Singto have undeniably insane chemistry, and it’s clear why Peraya fans are still waiting for them to reunite on screen. If you want solid acting, especially in emotional scenes, you can trust them to deliver. The series starts strong — the first half hooks you with anticipation about Tam’s reason for leaving. Unfortunately, once the reason is revealed, it feels weak and the story starts to fall apart. I know they were trying to tie it to real-life events from Krist and Singto, but from a romance perspective, it’s baffling. Tam’s character is written inconsistently, likely because the Thai title translates to Because My Ex Changes Often, but the concept doesn’t land well for me.
Thankfully, the series redeems itself with a stunning finale. It’s emotional, beautiful, and deserves high praise. There are also plenty of SOTUS references sprinkled throughout, which only fans of SOTUS will fully appreciate (though it’s not required viewing, you’d miss the joy of spotting those easter eggs).
The side characters, however, are confusing. The dynamic between P’Yong, Gaogie, and Nudhee shifts back and forth — at times hinting that Gaogie and Nudhee are a pair, and at others suggesting P’Yong and Gaogie are together. Fortunately, the finale gives a reasonable resolution for these three.
There are also noticeable plot holes, perhaps due to this being GMMTV’s first original script. The character writing could have been stronger, and the story would have benefited from focusing more on their work as journalists — a subplot that had the potential to be really engaging. Instead, GMMTV condensed the series into just 10 episodes, which left certain elements feeling rushed or incomplete.
Overall, this series turned out better than I expected based on the pilot. Still, it feels less like a grand comeback and more like a special project made to entertain Peraya/KristSingto fans rather than appeal to casual viewers. It’s not a great comeback series, but it does serve as a heartfelt journey for their fans.

Peraya Nation, how are we? I missed Krist and Singto so much that seeing them together again felt like being reunited with old friends. Honestly, I never thought I’d get to watch them in their full glory again—but here we are. And my god, it was beautiful.Krist and Singto are not just another BL pairing—they are the pioneers of the genre for so many of us. They helped shape the BL landscape, and without them, I’m certain half of us wouldn’t even be here as devoted fans (or fujoshis). Their on-screen presence is magnetic, their chemistry timeless.
The story in The Ex Morning was solid and engaging, giving just the right amount of romance, nostalgia, and emotional pull. It didn’t feel like a forced reunion—it felt like a natural continuation of what made them special in the first place.
I truly enjoyed every second of it. For long-time BL fans, this was more than just a drama—it was a heartfelt reminder of where it all began.

Singto and Krist did not disappoint
Let me start of by saying, I admit that I am 100% biased toward Singto. I think he's a fantastic and versatile actor. Admittedly, I was not a huge fan of Krist in SOTUS and, besides it being groundbreaking at the time, I do not understand the hype around their ship. I personally thought Singto had much more chemistry with some of his other on-screen partners besides Krist. So, when Singto joined GMM and there was talk of him getting paired back up with Krist, I admit I was a teeny bit bummed. Never-the-less, when this series was announced, I was really looking forward to it regardless. And, honestly, I didn't think I would be back-peddling as much as I am now upon finishing this series. I don't know if Krist has been getting acting lessons or if the reunion lent itself to lost familiarity (not unlike the characters in the series however I'll get to that parallel in a second) but the chemistry and overall acting from both of them in this was seriously impressive. I'd already been impressed with Krist's performance in Be My Favorite when he was opposite Gawin but at the time, I chalked it up to the fact Gawin could have chemistry with a tree.. seriously, he works so well with everyone.
But Krist really won me over in The Ex-Morning. He was brilliant throughout the series, with or without Singto. (I feel like some actors are only as good when their "pair" is on screen with them in the scene as if they can't hold their own as a solo actor which is one thing I hate about shipping culture.. but I digress.) They fed off each other so well, making their lines feel so natural, often to the point where I wonder if they were improvising.
It could have also been the script, mind you, as this was a solid story overall. It was an office romance but with a history and backstory told through flashbacks. While the flashbacks did not happen in order, I feel like they happened at the right moment when they were supposed to to show the parallels of their past with their present. It was really easy to follow and it was clear at what point in their relationship the flashbacks happened which I thought was great editing. Speaking of parallels, I feel like this was, in part, a love letter to their fans with the way their characters were together then one left, then came back... it mimicked their IRL career from their ship days in SOTUS, going their separate ways, then Singto coming back to GMM for their ship to set sail once again. Not to mention the many SOTUS references throughout (the engineering shirts at the costume party, someone pointing out that Phi used to be a hazer, the pink drink and the flat out mention of SOTUS being a series they watched together, just to name a few.)
The ONLY reason this wasn't a 10 for me was mainly due to two things... one being the constant use of phrases like "If this were a series then this would happen" or "what do you think this is, a rom com?" I know these lines are meant to be funny and ironic in a way but it's so overused and, especially in this series, they used it A LOT. Instead of adding to a scene, it just takes away from it, in my opinion. Like, we know this is a series and we know this is fake.. you don't have to try and sell this idea that it's real.
The other main gripe I had was the introduction and resolution of some plot points. The whole thing with Paul felt disjointed and the climax of that storyline seemed to come out of nowhere. Then you had the side GL that never really developed into anything even with all the lead up to it. At some points it felt like the cat was completely forgotten. And even Aou's character could have been fleshed out more as we never really got a sense of his motivation until the very end when we learn he just wanted to be on top at the station. He seemed too villainous to be just a simple professional rival but apparently that's all it was. I also thought there would be something wrong with Phi's mom instead as she seemed to be forgetful and maybe they were going to give her Alzheimer's or something. I mean, I'm glad they didn't, but it seemed like an obvious point they were trying to bring to our attention but then never did anything with it.
I'm actually surprised this wasn't 12 episodes as I feel like just 2 more episodes could have wrapped up those plot points a bit more. They certainly had an engaging and interesting storyline to work with, much more than a lot of the 12-14episode series that are out there. They could have easily filled up more time just by ironing out those wrinkles and filling the holes.
But really, other than that, what they did give us was a fantastic storyline which was executed extremely well. I actually find myself looking forward to the next Krist/Singto series, hoping they keep with this new momentum that they served to us here.

Is the magic of Sotus over? :(
The revival of Krist and Singto given Singto’s return to GMMTV is much-anticipated, and for good reason, since it’s been a long time since the Sotus era.The Ex Morning may be an ex-boyfriends-rekindle-their-love type of story but it’s way less toxic than it actually seems. Even though we already know how their story will end, the romantic trajectory was still largely enjoyable.
Some scenes in the show are exaggerated so the style felt a bit over the top and soap drama-ish at times. The writing also left me a little confused and disappointed. The enemies-to-bfs trope generally works across various plots, but in this case, the reason for their initial breakup was rather weak and had logical gaps that didn’t make sense.
The story is mostly carried by the rekindling romance of Phi and Tam in a different stage of their life as they try to develop their careers and professional strengths.
And while this is a welcome change from high school storylines, I would like to see Kris in a wider range of roles and types of stories. Kris’ characters end up being rather similar to each other (in terms of goofiness/silliness) so the dynamic gets predictable.
Verdict: In summary, Krist and Singto still got it. But maybe I was expecting too much from this revival.

Achjaj, the push-pull but in the wrong direction. If anyone else (after thorough movie/series experiences with other projects) feels something is off here… yes, there is, you’re right.
How to put this to not trigger… ok, the hell with it. After watching this, you have to have the feeling Krist is waaaaay better an actor than Singto. Thanks to the past controversy, despite that? Well, maybe he just is. You have to have the feeling that the only times when Singto is properly acting is when he is without Krist. And you would be absolutely correct in that.
Right?
So Singto is a bad actor, right?
Well… not really?
I have seen both Singto and Krist in several roles. I was not present when Singto left the company, I don't know why that happened, I’ve heard that he is back, that Krist made him come back. I am not sure if it’s for ever or just for this project.
I have loved Singto in Paint with Love. I personally think that type of character suits him well. I have seen him in series where the character is way more detached than a romance character could be, and I would say that suits him very well too.
I have seen Krist in multiple things, acting well all the time.
It's a real pity we cannot combine the character from Paint with Love with the character Krist is portraying in The Ex-Morning.
The push-pull but in the wrong direction: What I feel the problem here is, the writer couldn’t decide who is gonna be the dominant character, making both of them both, and then… got entangled and strangled with this dynamic. Making it indeed very difficult for them — and us — to land smoothly.
I am temporarily giving up on hope that this issue will solve itself, and I see in Krist+Singto great potential acting side by side — as friends. This story is interesting, unfortunately the romance here isn’t, or not so much, or not acted properly (probably the last). In this respect, their Sotus project remains way better in the romance department than this series (maybe the leading = directing is to be blamed here).
I still like it, I will still finish, and after that I will hope for reconnection of these two in something that will suit them, their acting abilities, and that their characters will be written well… romantically better.

The Ex-Morning – A Love Story That Stays With You
🌅💍As a longtime BL fan (and a sapphic girl myself), watching The Ex-Morning felt like coming home to something warm, natural, and real. I’ve been following Krist and Singto since Sotus The Series back in 2017,(love Sotus representations )and seeing them together again made my heart so full. Their chemistry is timeless, but what stood out to me the most here is how natural everything felt. No unnecessary drama, no negativity – just two green forests standing strong, showing how stability, communication, and respect make a relationship flourish. 🌿💚One thing I deeply appreciated was the communication between every character. It reminded me how important it is in real life too. And both moms? Wow. They earned my respect with their wisdom and kindness. The family dynamics in this show are truly gems – gentle, supportive, and so beautiful to watch. I personally love family fit 🎀💘
This series is simple, but it shines because of its freshness. I even picked up some new ideas about the reporting industry from it, which I didn’t expect. Every supporting character did such a good job, adding depth and charm to the story.
And honestly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for including silly little GL touches and sapphic representation. 🌸 I know not everyone appreciates it, but for girls like me, it matters so much. Seeing Gia realize her feelings for her ex’s sister? That hit deep, because yes – things like that can happen in real life, and respecting people’s identities is so important.
The last episode was pure magic for me. The whole wedding scene was dreamy and unforgettable – love won, and it also showed the success and beauty of Thailand’s marriage equality. My favorite moment? The bow they shared at the wedding. That simple gesture made me cry harder than anything else. We Asians bow to show the big respect and In my country traditions, only the bride bows to the husband – and as a sapphic, that always made me uncomfortable. But here, they bowed to each other. Equal. Respectful. Two people choosing to share their lives as partners, not as roles forced by society. It made me dream of the day I will bow to my wife, not out of duty, but out of love and respect. 🥹💖
This series is not just about love; it’s about growth, kindness, and finding the right people to journey with. From start to finish, The Ex-Morning gave me peace, happiness, and hope. To me, it’s truly the best GMM series of 2025. ✨
Thank you everyone

A solid start - the Krist-Singto magic is back
Yaay!!! Finally Krist-Singto are back ...and they are back with what seems like a good script, enough potential for mushy moments and a slice of real-life ...The chemistry is still bang on and delicious.....this definitely promises to be an action-packed and entertaining showJust a quick observation - Is it just me, or did they seem a tad awkward for that first peck on the cheeks?? Also, it was nice to see that gentle kiss, almost felt like we are back to the SOTUS days..:D
BL-needle score: 7. Reasonable Bl-ness so far
I don't think a lot needs to be said about the anticipation this show created, since most of us would anyway turn up to just gawk at the legendary pair.....beyond the chemistry of Krist-Singto, the show promises to be well-scripted and a mostly light-hearted story so far. Even though a weather forecast anchor with his own screaming fan club is a tad umm....extreme, I admit...but with looks like Krist's, well, it's at least not unimaginable....:P
I'm also betting that the show will likely have a slice of reality (read muck) from the entertainment-news media sector...the mad competition, the star tantrums, the realities of people behind the camera, etc. I'm glad that Krist took on a character which has more than its fair share of shadow elements...also, I'm sure as the show reveals more we will learn why Padtaphi turned out to be the way he is and what really transpired between him and Tamtawan....
For now, I will be glued on. :D

Someone sacrifices himself for you, and you act like the last wretch. And that you can at least show it with expression, that is, acting. Phi can't act, I'm not in a fan club, but he's the worst actor I've ever seen. I don't understand the director who doesn't know how to lead the series....

News reporting is a new & interesting approach
First of all I'm glad to see SingtoKrist together again, it's like a dream come true, after Sotus, i was dying to watch them together again.I must say this one looks rather interesting, news reporters - news channels is a total new approach in thai BL's, looking forward to see what they'll do...
Cast looks promising, especially leads, they've always been great actors & has natural chemistry, they showed this chemistry without even skinship in their previous work and now surprisingly we get to see more of them...
Their roles looks interesting and well suited to them,
Plot itself is kinda unique and looks fun, looking forward to this journey of Pat & Tam.
Even though I have known the actors all along, they still seemed new and different in this series
This deserves more rating (atleast 8 or above) because the epi was well made with a good start, hopefully it receives more attention and appreciation
Ps: The kiss that took ages in Sotus happened only in 1st epi here
