Despite Flaws, How Many Minis Actually SHOW The ML Slowly Falling In Love?
This is NOT a perfect show. There absolutely are some editing issues and "mostly" minor plot holes but on the whole this show left me thinking "who cares".Why?
❤️ Because there was an almost entire episode SHOWING the ML falling in love with the FL.
❤️ Because there are scenes where they do NOTHING and yet you're holding your breath, not blinking your eyes and left feeling like you just watching the most intimate thing in the world.
❤️ Because she doesn't back down from his dark side and embraces his "visciousness and cruelty".
❤️ Because instead of hiding behind him like a weak-willed nobody she rises up as an equal, giving better than she gets.
❤️ Because they take no prisoners and leave no quarters when it comes to the other's life. Not even the MLs guard is exempt from punishment for messing up.
❤️ Because she tells him a story about a prince discovering his rose was an "ordinary" rose so he later turnsn it into telling her a story about a prince and his one and only Iris.
❤️ Because after an "attempted" scene against her he helps her process the trauma together.
❤️ Because even the antagonists, who had their own despicable and unforgivable actions, had their own love stories and were able to serve as a contrast to our leads choices.
❤️ Because even though this is a "simple mini" the Palace politics felt like some of the most real out there with EVERYONE double speaking and double plotting... BUT they actually EXPLAIN it all and break it down with inner thoughts and other character discussion cut-aways.
❤️ Because chemistry 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣
SO...
This show is HONESTLY not perfect but it is going to stay with me for a while and I will absolutely be revisiting it in clips.
I already talked myself down from a 10...
Rating breakdown:
Full unobjective rating based SOLELY on plot and execution: 7
Dialog: 9.5
Chemistry: 9.5
Set and Clothing Design: 9
(I will defend the leads eye makeup as being that way for a REASON 🤣 "Evil eyes vs innocent/protagonist clothes")
Final Rating (still biased but lowered): 9/10

A sweet loving and emotionally mature couple with great chemistry <3.
While the plot is kind of average and basic, the drama shines through its great acting, captivating chemistry, and sweet love story😍.The male and female leads delivered such an amazing performance, breathing life into their characters. The male lead, in particular, had an irresistible charm, and his smiles were genuinely heartwarming. The female lead was adorable and portrayed her role with great emotional depth (loved how much she was mature and had a lot of common sense). Together, their chemistry was just so heart-touching (I giggled so much watching them being lovey-dovey hehe). The slow and natural progression of their romance made it feel authentic, even in such a short drama. It was refreshing to see them fall in love gradually, supporting and understanding each other without unnecessary misunderstandings.
What sets this drama apart is the emotional maturity of the main characters. Unlike many other dramas, their decisions were thoughtful and realistic. The female lead, despite her deep love for the male lead, hesitated to be with him initially because of the traditional expectations surrounding the crown prince's future. She didn’t want to share her love with concubines, and the male lead only had eyes for her and chose to love only her for eternity (my sweet babies;-;). Both of their dedication to their love is such an amazing sight that it made me want to fall in love as well. Seeing them made me love love hehe.
The drama also balanced its narrative well, focusing more on the romance than on the villains' scheming. While the villains had their moments, they didn’t overshadow the romance, which is exactly what I love and want from a feel-good fantasy romance drama. The family dynamics, especially the female lead’s loving family, added a wholesome touch.
However, the ending left a mixed impression. While the drama concludes on a happy note for the leads, the last episode spent too much time on the villains’ tragic fate. Their self-destructive end felt unnecessary and took away precious moments that could have been used to showcase more romantic, heartwarming scenes of the main couple (I want more of the main leads scenes cause I love them so much ;-;). Despite this, the acting of the villains was good, and their characters, while annoying, served their purpose well.
This drama is a delightful and addictive mini-drama, elevated by its charming leads and heartfelt performances. The costumes, makeup, and production quality added to its appeal, making it a visual treat. For fans of sweet, mature, and escapist fantasy romance dramas, this is a must-watch. I’d happily give it a 10/10 purely for the chemistry, acting, and captivating moments between the main leads.

A Surprisingly Engaging Mini-Drama with Romance and Intrigue
I usually don't expect much from mini-dramas, but Money Is Coming is surprisingly well done. It is not perfect but the flaws are forgivable. The story is pretty tight and engaging, with well-written dialogue and well-paced scenes that keep things moving. Despite the shorter format, the drama doesn’t feel rushed or underdeveloped—every scene serves a purpose, whether it’s driving the plot forward or deepening character relationships. The directing is good, and the pacing ensures that there’s never a dull moment. The villains are exactly what you want in a drama like this—twisted, scheming, and power-hungry, upping the entertainment factor. However, what really makes this drama stand out is the heart-fluttering romance. The leads have fantastic chemistry, and their scenes together induce butterflies. I enjoyed watching the dynamics between them, filled with subtle glances, lingering touches, and tension-filled moments that kept viewers engaged. Some of their scenes are so evocative, even when the skinship isn’t blatant. I thought the acting overall was fine. Lin Ze Hui, playing Xiao Xing Heng, the male lead, did well in conveying the unspoken emotions that simmer beneath the surface. Zhi Yue, as Ning Zhu Xi, complemented him well, balancing wide-eyed innocence with intelligence and sharp wit. They are really there for each other, and there was an event in episode 18 that really delivered that message.
Of course, it does not hurt that Lin Ze Hui and Zhi Yue are both incredibly easy on the eyes—seeing them together is a visual feast, whether they’re locked in a heated stare or sharing a quiet, tender moment. Their presence alone enhances the drama’s appeal, making every scene they share even more captivating.
The production value also adds to the overall experience. The soundtrack fits perfectly with the mood of the different scenes, heightening the tension in dramatic moments or amplifying the sweetness of romantic encounters. The costumes, hair, and makeup are all nicely done without feeling over the top. Unlike others, I like the female lead's makeup, which reminds me of the manhua or doujin makeup style. They lend to the drama's aesthetic appeal.
Ultimately, this show is a satisfying one. The leads manage to stay one step ahead of their enemies most of the time. The balance of romance and intrigue keeps things engaging from start to finish. It’s a well-executed drama that proves mini-dramas can be just as compelling as full-length series. Whether you’re in it for the romance, the tension, or just the pure entertainment value, Money Is Coming is well worth the watch.

A predictable plot with okay acting but one hell of the message in ep 18!
I will not give too much of what the story is about because it's nothing new. What I will praise this for (and that is the main reason for giving this 8/10) is the ep 18 handling of incredibly harsh event and its aftermath. Hats off to the screenwriter for creating this powerhouse of an episode. If you don't want to know - skip this, but if you want to check for yourself - just watch ep 18.As a trauma therapist I can only say that any woman who has been sexually assaulted could benefit from watching it. True, not every woman would have killed her rapist (and I do not condone killing, honorary or for revenge), but I am stressing both the heroine's and her man's reactions to the event. And how they acted it out. Well, maybe if he was less pushing for the kissing at the end, I would have given it 8.5). This is why the weak plot and mediocre acting overall are forgiven. Unlike what we could see in Love and Bid Farewell (where I questioned the fact of having no redeeming value in showing the rape) this gives us something to ponder on.
I liked the colors, costumes and decorations, but like many viewers disliked the face make up of FL. I liked the cute interactions between them although I must say it was typical modern girl with pseudo-historical man and completely goofy dad. We got what the audience likes in these shorter dramas, incl. evil prince, although I believe that there was no resolution of the FL's transmigration in the first place.
And as always with c drama - alas, the title has nothing to do with the plot.
Would I watch it again? If not in the entirety, then just to share the wisdom in ep 18.

A Discount Fantasy That Delivers More Than It Should
This drama has one of those titles that feels like it was slapped on by a marketing intern pulling an all-nighter. Let’s be honest: the name has absolutely nothing to do with the plot or the themes. Nobody’s chasing gold, no one’s breaking banks, and the closest thing to “money” is probably the costume budget—which, let’s face it, looks like it was borrowed from three different dramas and a cosplay rental shop. And yet, here’s the kicker: it works. The best way to describe this drama is as a Temu version of Love Between Fairy and Devil. You recognize the design, you clock the cheaper materials, but then you’re shocked by how well it holds together. For something that should feel like a discount knockoff, it has an oddly cohesive charm. The production clearly knew its limits, stayed within them, and still delivered something surprisingly polished.
Of course, what really carries the whole thing is the leads. Their chemistry isn’t just believable—it’s infectious. Every look, every banter, every quiet moment is the kind of soft, funny, sweet energy that makes you grin at the screen like an idiot. Toss in the unexpectedly wholesome father-daughter bond, and suddenly you’re emotionally invested in a story you swore you weren’t going to take seriously.
And then, because the drama couldn’t resist, there’s even a sly wink at bromance between the uncle and the guard—just enough to fuel fan theories without ever committing. It’s that extra sprinkle of charm on a cake you already enjoyed.
Overall, this drama doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. It knows exactly what it is: a low-budget fantasy romance that entertains without overreaching. Sweet, fun, and easy to watch—sometimes that’s all a drama needs to be.

This story deserves a remake. Story and acting are good. Production is not.
This story could have been really awesome. The ML could have been a really dark sexy badboy ML. But that's not how they went with it, and instead decided not to take the dark parts of the plot seriously at all.The makeup and styling are really really bad, in a weird awkward way. The lighting is awful. The BGM is ok but it's often out of step for what's happening.
Dialogue was corny, superficial, uninspired most of the time. Scene transitions are done really oddly in spots where it seems like the producer was just totally out to lunch, without any artistic vision at all for how the story should be unrolled or paced. Things are laid out in sort of a haphazard way that isn't very addictive.
The actors were great, but they're styled so badly, shot scenes under such harsh bright lighting, lines so cheesy and bad, music too loud and corny sentimental.... this is just not it. All I saw that I liked in this one, was the promise of an unfulfilled good storyline, and a moderately sexy ML/FL couple.

Charming, Romantic, and Full of Chemistry
The animation in the first episode was absolutely adorable and set the tone beautifully. The costumes and hair accessories were a feast for the eyes—the colors and decorations were so intricate and captivating. Visually, the show was stunning from start to finish. The romance was a major highlight, with the main leads’ chemistry being nothing short of outstanding. Their connection felt so genuine and was a joy to watch unfold.
On the side, I couldn’t help but ship the guard and the uncle. Their chemistry, especially in the umbrella scene, was too good to ignore—it added an unexpected layer of charm to the story.
Episode 18 stood out in particular, with the cast’s reaction and acting during the harassment scene deserving high praise. It was handled so powerfully and left a lasting impression.
And of course, this beautiful line:
"Chu Ningxi, you must remember. I love you without any reason and without any condition."
That moment was so emotional and perfectly captured the heart of the story.
Overall, this was a delightful watch with beautiful visuals, engaging romance, and memorable characters. I truly enjoyed it!

Good romance...
-This short drama has better romance than some A rated cdramas.-Actors have good chemistry.
-Bad ass female lead for the win! She actually killed a spy without blinking.
-Su Mumu, fl's best friend, is Lady Whistledown in ancient/fantasy china version. Her gossip papers are amusing.
-I love Prince Ning and his love for his daughter. He always have cute interactions with Chuxi.
-The title does not fit the whole drama. It only fits the first episode first scene where fl just wants a peaceful and wealthy life.
-Stunning costumes especially for fl. I adore her dresses. Even their make ups look like cosplay/anime
-The epidemic theme is timely due to the recent pandemic.
-I find Bai Luo Qiu more handsome than the lead Xiao Xing Heng.
-The actor who playes Xiao Xingheng reminds me of Su Rongqing (Chen He Yi) in The Princess Royal.

Def rewatch drama
Loved the storyline that it was both dark and comedic at the same time. Love a good strong female lead. The father and daughter scenes had me laughing. Loved how supportive her father was in choices. And the ml im fan of his dramas. The two leads had such good chemistry my favorite thing of relationship was their acceptance of each others good and sides. Loved all the beautiful colors of the costumes. Im glad the couple had a happy ending that she stayed and instead going back to the real world like most other dramas with similar stories end. Im already watching this drama for third time its how much i liked it.Was this review helpful to you?

"Money Is Coming" is a 15-minute drama in which a girl experiences a sequence of moments from her past life, according to my understanding. She believes that these events will repeat in her present life, involving certain characters. After watching two or three episodes, I realized that she enters the author's world and becomes an obstacle between the two leads. However, I found the beginning a bit confusing—perhaps because I don’t understand Chinese.
Despite that, I enjoyed some elements of the drama. First, the male lead—his ruthless expressions in the first three episodes, his innocent face, and the way he smiles slightly—all of these captivated me. His attire was also particularly impressive.
I didn’t like the ending much, but I would recommend this drama to those who enjoy romance.

a murderous sunshine FL
Tiktok has been successful in intriguing me into watching mini dramas so I've started like 10 series and didn't finish a single one. The synopsis is good but either the acting and plot went downhill, or it wasn't just engaging. This one really surprised me, and I saw this from a comment section in this app. I could tell how different it is from the usual longer dramas I watched but the acting and storyline is really engaging. It might not be high quality but it still filled my drama-addicted soul so I'm happy with this one.
I also love how the leads still has a hint of villain even though they're the protagonist in this story. They didn't entirely lose the antagonistic characteristics they should have in the "original storyline". And the FL intentionally killed someone! That's a plus for me. Murderous sunshine FLs are my favorite.
FL trapping those noble ladies was such a good move too (I've seen it before but she's still smart on executing that).

A Visual Feast with Fluffy Romance
First Impressions:This is the first time I’ve seen such vibrant aesthetics in a cdrama! The costumes are so ethereal, they practically smell expensive through the screen. Every accessory and outfit is stunning, the quality is an absolute chef’s kiss.
The Vibes:
Light & Fluffy: If you’re looking for action or heavy politics, this isn’t it. It’s more of a cozy, low-stakes romance with dreamy visuals.
Adorable Couple: The leads are SO CUTE. I love them! The ML’s backstory broke my heart; he didn’t deserve any of that. 😭
Since this is a reincarnation/transmigration story, I love how the drama acknowledges it instead of obsessing over the plot like some manhwas do. Refreshing!
The Struggle (But in a Good Way?):
Pacing: I’ll be honest I’m a little bored (currently on Ep 16). I usually prefer fast-paced, action-packed shows, but this is more of a slow, pretty, feel-good watch.
With 27 episodes (each around 18 mins), it’s perfect for a lazy, cozy day when you just want something lightweight and visually satisfying.
Final Thoughts:
Visuals: 10/10 – The colors, costumes, and cinematography are insanely gorgeous.
Romance: Sweet & Simple – No unnecessary drama, just fluff and vibes.
Watch If… You want eye candy and a chill romance without heavy plot twists.
