What moved me the most was probably this part…At the end of Episode 8, what Lee Jae-ha says to Da-eum when he confesses his feelings can be understood on so many levels. The dialogue was absolutely incredible:
“Whenever I’m with you, I keep forgetting so many things.
You were sick, yet I couldn’t even tell.
Even though there wasn’t much time left, I kept believing there was still time.
I like you, but I thought I shouldn’t.
I thought love was just an illusion… but I know this feeling is real.”
Da-eum’s father says that the worse Da-eum feels physically, the brighter she smiles.
Namkoong Min delivers a kind of performance in this drama that I’ve never seen from him before. While watching, I kept wondering, “Is this acting, or is this simply his real self showing through?” Even now, I can’t quite explain it. His portrayal feels understated and quiet, just like how the people around Lee Jae-ha describe him — someone who rarely shows much expression, doesn’t talk much, and often lets his actions speak for him. Yet those who have worked with him for a long time know how warm-hearted he truly is.
Although Da-eum is terminally ill, the drama rarely focuses on showing her looking weak or exhausted. Instead, she keeps smiling brightly and faces life with positivity.
In the real world, do people like Da-eum truly exist?
Can someone who knows their life is nearing its end really live so fully in the present moment?
I’m grateful to have come across such a wonderful drama. And I’m grateful for Namkoong Min’s healing presence, both inside and outside the drama — appearing exactly when I needed something emotionally reliable to hold onto.
Our Movie pays extraordinary attention to small details. It feels less like a typical TV series and more like a film unfolding over several episodes. The first time I watched it, I was so focused on the plot that I missed many of the subtle moments between the two leads. But during my second viewing, I slowly began to appreciate the delicacy of the storytelling — the gradual process of two people growing closer, understanding one another, learning to empathize, and eventually falling in love.
Da-eum, knowing she has little time left, holds nothing back when experiencing the first profound love of her life. Jae-ha, meanwhile, constantly restrains himself because of the conflict between his morals and his emotions. In the end, he finally realizes that this is a kind of love he has never experienced before — this is what love truly is.
Even the movie Jae-ha is directing within the drama gradually changes alongside the development of their relationship, until its ending becomes the complete opposite of what it originally was meant to be:
“Life is finite. Eventually, everyone must say goodbye to the people they love and who love them. But as long as love exists, the memories we leave behind will remain sweet and everlasting.”

"Our Movie" more like Our Story
I just started this series and currently finished off Episode 1. At first, I thought, this drama seems boring, I will just see Episode 1 and call it off. I decided to see this drama because after seeing NKM 'My Dearest' and JYB 'Vincenzo' I decided to see this drama, because I love their acting and wanted to see how well they will do together in this new drama.Like I said, I thought it was boring after 20mins into, little did I know it was a build up. I finally got encased in their web of a story that will be explored from Episode 2. At the end part of Episode 1, my legs gave out literally, I've stayed away from spoilers concerning this drama, so I'm not giving out any... smiles...
So no, this drama is not boring, the story line is not weak, it's something that should be seen, it's a story that claws at the heart! A wonderful story.
This is just from Episode 1, I hope others who might have had second thought on seeing this drama, could go back and give this drama a chance, because it's worth it.

A quietly unfolding masterpiece that touches the heart without relying on flashy clichés.
Even though only two episodes have aired, it already feels like this drama has given me so much. Everything seems to come together naturally the acting, the story, the atmosphere it all feels so beautifully crafted. It's simply magnificent. I think the reason some people might not enjoy it is because it doesn’t rely on flashy characters or typical rom-com clichés. Instead, it tells deeply special stories taken straight from real life. Do people still watch melancholic movies?
Do people still watch melancholic movies? That’s the question this series sets out to answer. Normally, I don’t enjoy stories within stories, like movies or series that are about making movies or series. But I’m completely sold on this one because of the way the female lead’s character is written. She has a deadline, and it goes beyond just dreaming of becoming a superstar. It’s about having a story to tell.Both leads are solid actors, so I’m sticking with the series, even though I’m a bit nervous. It has 12 episodes, and I’m not sure if they can maintain the momentum for that long. I’m worried it might end up feeling stretched. If the plot drags, it could become overcooked and end up hurting the talents involved.

E é aí que entra nossa protagonista: uma atriz desconhecida… mas com uma doença terminal de verdade. 💔 O destino, sempre com seu humor agridoce, coloca os dois juntos no set e na vida. Eles correm contra o tempo pra terminar o filme, e correm contra o tempo pra viver essa história de amor antes que seja tarde demais. ⏳🎥
O dorama é lindo e profundo: fala de sonhos, de viver apesar da dor, da coragem de enfrentar a própria finitude. 🥲 Poético. Só que… faltou um pouco de calor, né? Eu esperei mais cenas do casal, mais beijo, mais carinho… alguma faísca além dos olhares sofridos. E ele? Lindo, mas sempre com aquela cara cizuda e as mãos enfiadas no bolso (sério, alguém arranca as mãos dele de lá por favor? 🫠). O elenco coadjuvante também é digno de aplausos. 👏
O final? Já esperado, mas eu queria que me fizesse chorar — não escorreu sequer uma lágrima comportada. 🫠

Our Movie é sobre a finitude da vida
Momentos são carregados de significados ao longo da jornada da vida, mas nem sempre entendemos ou até mesmo percebemos eles. Our Movie conseguiu retratar a importância dos significados em cada episódio.Lee Daeum é uma doente terminal, mas não a vemos como uma paciente acamada e triste, pelo contrário, ela é energética e mais viva do que muitos que não estão aparentemente doentes.
Lee Jeha, um diretor apático e sem grandes perspectivas de vida, acaba crescendo e enxergando mais possibilidades através da Daeum.
Our Movie é um dos melodramas mais bem feitos que já vi. A fotografia é bonita, os enquadramentos sugerem o ponto de vista dos personagens principais ao final de cada episódio. Tudo nele faz referência ao cinema, o que me fez ficar imersa em todas as cenas.
Como boa amante da arte, do cinema e também da profundidade dos melodramas, posso dizer que essa história é incrível de acompanhar.
Fiquei refletindo sobre como seria se todos nós soubéssemos o tempo que temos em vida. Será que viveríamos com a mesma intensidade que a Daeum? Será que ficaríamos mais reclusos e sem saber o rumo que tomar como o Jeha?
Às vezes tenho a impressão que quanto mais se vive sem saber sobre o dia de amanhã, maior é o medo de viver. Mas ao conhecer a Daeum e o amor pela vida que ela carregou consigo desde sempre, acabamos refletindo e dando valor aos momentos e os detalhes simples que a vida contempla. O filme deles é todo sobre o amor nos detalhes, o amor que vai além de uma doença e da morte. O fato de sabermos que temos validade neste mundo e aproveitarmos da melhor forma que pudermos como a Daeum sabia fazer.
Our Movie é lindo, intenso e um retrato do amor em sua forma mais pura e plena.

Je pensais pleurer toutes les larmes de mon corps… mais non...
Je m’attendais à une romance qui allait me briser le cœur façon coup de poignard en slow motion, avec des dialogues qui résonnent longtemps, des regards qui brûlent et un amour tragique qui serre la poitrine 😭🔥… sauf que là… ben… y’a comme un grain dans le projecteur 😬Le rythme est lent… mais pas dans le côté "qui te happe et t’engloutit” 🤯. C'est plutôt un enchaînement de jolies scènes mais qui m'ont laissé à distance, finalement il n'y avait pas d'urgence ni de vrai pic émotionnel 🤷🏼♀️. On nous parle de deuil, d’amour perdu, de regrets… mais je trouve que ça reste en surface... Il n'y a pas de moment où j’ai eu le cœur serré au point de faire pause pour respirer… et c’est ce que j’espérais 😟
Le couple principal, que dire... Les deux acteurs sont solides, aucun doute là-dessus 💪🏻, mais l’alchimie… est tiède. Je trouve qu'on est plus sur deux âmes un peu paumées côte à côte que dans une romance inoubliable... Pas de frisson, pas d’étincelle qui explose à l’écran 😕. Les dialogues aussi sont un peu plats… Il y a trop de métaphores selon moi, pas assez de répliques qui claquent et qui restent. À force de vouloir être subtil, ça s’efface vite... 😤
La réalisation, par contre, est très belle ✨. C’est léché, lumineux, on sent l’envie de bien faire, mais sans le chaos émotionnel derrière, ça manque de vie...
Concernant la fin… je l’ai trouvée jolie, douce, presque "apaisée" 💫. On parle d’une jeune fille condamnée qui a quand même réussi à réaliser son rêve, qui etait de devenir actrice et tourner un film 🎥, elle a trouvé l’amour en chemin ❤️, et laissé derrière elle des souvenirs lumineux. Ce n'est pas la claque émotionnelle que j'espérais, mais c'est une conclusion qui m'a laissé un petit sourire tendre.
Bref, je m’attendais à un grand mélodrame inoubliable… et c’est resté un film contemplatif un peu fade... pas mauvais, juste… oubliable 😩✌🏻
