Not bad but it deserved more attention to the plot
I recently finished Melody, and I can say that the real problem with this series is the PLOT. ForceBook did a great job conveying the emotions; there were some really beautiful scenes, and I especially liked the ending (it really saved itself at the end). I also quite liked the music, I think I will listen It. If you've seen several ForceBook series and want to check out this one, I recommend it. Otherwise, I recommend checking out their other series, which are more worthwhileHope this is helpful :)

A Haunting Melody of Love, Lies, and Memory
I have always loved crime scenes, murder, and investigation stories, so pairing that genre with BL already had me excited. What made it even better is seeing one of my favourite couples, ForceBook, back on screen. Force as Tankoon, a criminologist, and Book as Botphleng, a crime journalist, is honestly a perfect pairing. Their chemistry is strong, natural, and convincing, and their acting feels more mature and grounded than ever.We have seen ForceBook in both office and university BLs before, so getting them in a fresh mystery crime genre feels like such a breath of fresh air. The first two episodes completely hooked me. I was genuinely shocked by how many kiss scenes we got in the very first episode. The idea of kissing someone when you do not remember anything about them, yet your heart and instincts know you have loved and kissed them before, was portrayed so beautifully. It felt intimate, unsettling, and emotional all at once.
I will be honest, like many viewers, I was confused during the first episode. But it was a good kind of confusion. The title has the word Secrets for a reason. The storytelling is deliberately fragmented, and that sense of disorientation puts you right into Botphleng’s state of mind.
For anyone who felt lost after episode one, do not give up or judge it too quickly. The confusion is intentional. If everything were explained from the start, the mystery and tension that make this genre so addictive would completely disappear. With eight more episodes to go, the series is clearly designed to keep you questioning, uneasy, and constantly guessing, and that is exactly what makes it so compelling.
There is no second couple in this series, which actually works in its favour, as it keeps the focus tight and intense. I am also glad they added Boun to the cast. He is a strong actor and adds another layer of intrigue to the story.
So far, the plot feels unique, the acting is strong across the board, and the atmosphere is dark, suspenseful, and emotionally charged.
Personally, I think this series has been executed really well and perfectly captures the tone of a true psychological and suspense BL. I am genuinely looking forward to the remaining episodes, because if it continues at this level, Melody of Secrets could easily become one of GMMTV’s standout BLs.

Best ForceBook Series
Tankhun’s love for Botpleng runs deep. He is always there to protect him and doesn’t care about Botpleng’s past—even though it might be connected to his brother’s death. Botpleng, who has forgotten his past, may be afraid of the truth, but he is still brave, and he loves Tankhun deeply. It’s a mutual, mature love that caught my attention and made me want to keep watchingWas this review helpful to you?
Melody of secrets felt unrealistic
I stopped watching at Episode 2. I just couldn’t continue. The violin performance felt unrealistic and honestly hard to take seriously. The production could have really benefited from bringing in a violin expert to guide the actors for a more convincing portrayal.I also had the impression that the story would end up being dragged out and possibly boring. Overall, it feels more like a filler addition to the 2025 BL lineup rather than a standout series.

Great little whodunnit with a side order of BookForce
There is so much to like about this story but I do feel the last few chapters could have been significantly shorter as once we get to the bottom of the mystery there are still several chapters to go and we end up watching a lot (ok so it was all cute) of padding so I docked a point for this. The story centres round two characters Tankoon (played by Force) and Botpleng (played by Book). The former is a criminal psychologist and the latter a wealthy young man with no memory of his life following an unknown trauma approximately 10 years earlier.
One day (Bot)Pleng anonymously receives a diary documenting his life before his memory loss and in it he discovers he had an all encompassing love affair with a man called Tan(koon). Days later he finds a body in a suitcase and to his horror, as he turns round to see if there is anyone else nearby, Tan walks onto the scene which puts Pleng firmly in the suspect bucket as he is standing over the body when he arrives. Tan is immediately drawn to Pleng and as his curiosity (both personal and professional) is piqued he manages to get an invite onto the team investigating why the body they found belongs to a member of staff at one of Pleng’s many residences.
The plot thickens, another body is found, also tied to Pleng’s household and Pleng discovers that the man he waxes lyrical about his diary is not Tan but Tan’s dead brother Thunphob who for some reason says his name is Tan. Emotions run high and bonds of trust and friendship are built on pillars of sand.
Down the line we discover that someone is preventing Pleng from regaining his memories and he becomes worried that it was him that killed Thunphob. We also learn that Pleng is not really Pleng but a young companion called Tontharn brought into the family and unofficially adopted to become Pleng’s little brother. To top it all off a whole catalogue of lies and deception is uncovered when Pleng finally gets his memories back.
The chemistry between Book and Force is electric as usual with great banter and play fights. There is more skin than usual in their intimate scenes and Force spends quite a lot of time getting topless which is unusual for this couple but rather easy on the eye...
The other actors and their sub plots also add to the drama and we get to enjoy JuniorMark (from my perfect 10 liners) and Boun from between us) in all their glory too.
The penultimate scene paralleling Tan & Tontharn and Thunphob & (the real) Pleng on bicycles is really poignant and I will admit to feeling a lot sentimental and slightly tearful as I watched their carefree journeys on the same patch of dirt track. Kudos to the writers and direction for such a powerful scene.
The cinematography and the staging was great and added to the whole drama.
Would I watch it again? Probably not, but it was a lovely way to test the brain cells (the whodunnit) and enjoy Book and Force in action again.

Expect the unexpected
I'll be honest, I didn't have high expectations for this show when I first watched the trailer (because I didn't know what to expect) but I was absolutely hooked for the get go. Each episode keeps you on your toes, you literally never know what's going to happen next. I binged the entire thing in roughly 3 days and I loved each second of it. Please watch. Was this review helpful to you?
whoever doesn't watch this show is truly missing out!
melody of secrets is actually an underrated masterpiece and i’m serious. it’s not the type of bl you can just play in the background because the story really makes you pay attention—everything connects later and the tension builds slowly each episode. the whole memory loss + investigation plot keeps you guessing, and some scenes hit harder because they don’t over-explain anything. the atmosphere is heavy and quiet most of the time, which makes the emotional moments feel more real.and forcebook really carried this. you can tell their acting has upgraded to another level. they’re always delivering the emotions naturally, especially in the small details. it never feels forced. honestly, it deserved way more attention than it got.

A series I’m glad I didn't skip
I almost let the discouraging reviews keep me from starting this series and I’m so glad I didn’t. Taking a chance on this series turned me into a fan of its two leads, and especially of Book whose acting is an absolute standout.Visually, the show is stunning. The color grading has this soft, dreamlike quality that makes everything feel slightly unreal, as if I’m suspended in the same hazy, uncertain space as the characters. That aesthetic perfectly complements the mystery theme you’re meant to feel disoriented, curious, and pulled along by secrets unfolding beneath the surface.
What really stayed with me is how sincerely romantic this series feels. Both Force and Book’s characters love with the same intensity and loyalty, and you can feel that balance in every interaction: no chasing, just two people choosing each other again and again. Force’s character in particular, radiates this steady, reassuring affection that makes their relationship feel safe, grounded, and deeply cherished. The show is also full of soft, affectionate touches like kisses, hugs, and other displays of affection that make their love feel natural, constant, and completely believable 🥰 Even the OST deepens that emotional pull. Both of their songs are beautifully sung, and Force’s in particular brings me to tears every time I hear it in a scene. Their bond becomes the emotional spine of the mystery, which makes every revelation hit harder.
I genuinely can’t believe some viewers dismissed the show after episode one because they “didn’t understand what was going on.” It’s a mystery series of course you’re not meant to have all the answers immediately.
And that final episode? Beautifully wrapped up.
To me, this series is a truly underrated gem. It’s possibly one of my favorite gmm series. I’m so glad I ignored the early negativity and experienced it for myself. I’m officially a new fan of the two main leads.

Could have been the best suspense drama this year but failed cz of bad writing. It's ok not the best
Okay this drama really had soo much potential just with the plot twist i can say there were issues with the execution. It's good but could have been exceptional. The person who wrote this drama definitely doesn't have experience or has little experience working with this genre or is really bad at it.The drama has really good and unexpected plot twists. I never expected her to be the killer🙃. There were 0 hints but my guess about BP not being the real son was right but i thought real BP and TP died together🙃 idk how i missed that.
It also has some gaps in the story which i feel the novel would have explained. I just don't understand TT's (fake BP) father Thun like how did he let his son get hypnotized n live like that🙄. Also TT is a nice kid so i think he'd have agreed to pretend to be BP to save the mom's life if they just told him the truth.
That random ass singing made me laugh. Like what the hell was the director or writer thinking. Atleast add a backstory to that song like it comforts him or it's their thing. There's a sad scene and suddenly they start singing😆. The story is such a gem the screenwriter and director fucked up lol.
Its a 10 episode drama so it could be like
Ep 1 - BP gets this random diary from his BF and when he goes to investigate it he gets framed for a murder
Ep 2 - His BF gets him out of the case (showing subtle hints that TK was faking it ), past reminiscence and relationship deepening
Ep 3 - falling in love reveal that TB is TK
Ep 4 - betrayal and guilt for loving his dead BF's brother (ik he doesn't remember his BF but just the thought is kinda disgusting. Ur BF's brother took advantage of ur amnesia and got intimate with u that's not normal)
Ep 5 - conversation and coming in terms deciding to start fresh
Ep 6 - falling in love again, suspecting something is weird about BP's memories and actions once he is in contact with his family
Ep 7 - informing BP about this suspension and BP looking into it
Ep 8 - reveal that BP's family killed TP and BP feeling guilty TK comforting
Ep 9 - serial killer reveal, truth behind BP memory loss reveal
Ep 10 - truth behind TP death reveal and happy ending
They should have done this instead of those filler episodes in the middle. They should have added more emotional depth to the drama and it'd be just. It did get better in the last 2 episodes but i it's hard to finish the middle🤌🤌🤌🤌

Beyond Expectations: The Spellbinding Allure of Melody of Secrets
Coming to the story, the plot truly kept me on the edge of my seat. It felt like I was investigating alongside the characters, constantly wondering what would happen next. I can’t quite put it into words, but ForceBook did an amazing job, and as always, he’s incredibly handsome. The costume and makeup teams also did a stellar job enhancing his look. The villain’s identity was a complete surprise, and the emotions portrayed by every character were truly impressive. I’ve never written a review before, but this series deserves one. I’ve noticed that some viewers drop out midway because the plot can be confusing, but trust me, this is far from the typical college or high school love story. When ForceBook mentioned they were trying something different, they really delivered. The acting is top-notch, and I wholeheartedly recommend giving this series a try.

Boring
I dropped this series. The plot was dragging and i found the storyline intresting yet not gripping.
The acting was lifeless and plain.
Starting to watch the series i thought this would be a thriller worth giving a try but this has nothing making want to go further.
The love story and its portrayal is horrifying.
Overall a waste of time, money and energy
