hyunjin we love you so much
highlights:i think hyunjin was characterized beautifully as a first-time struggling mother. her sister. who functionally doubled as her mother died, leaving whj with a baby at a time when she JUST graduated from college and was struggling to even find work. everything she did was perfectly reasonable for someone in that position. she had a baby and was a temp contract worker, of course, she threw herself into the job in hopes of getting hired permanently. she needs MONEY to provide for the baby as a SINGLE mother? delusionals wanted her to be a single housewife becausing apparently raising a child is free? actually if she did that, the tatecels would have attacked her for starving wooju and leeching off of his and taehyung's money. she can't ever win with the mdl freaks. anyway, she cared about wooju so very much, and every minuscule expression on the actress's face proved it. (roh jeongui is just a brilliant actress.)
from her side, the story with the sml also makes sense. she's always given up everything she wanted to give space to other people, as an orphan, she's never been able to own anything herself. she finds out that the man she gave up in college actually wanted her too, yes of course, she's going to be into it. she went out with him a few times, realized this man was from a different point in her life, and didn't fit into her current life, and shut it down. ultimately, the only problem with this was that it occurred in ep 10 of a 12 ep show, and if they condensed the timeline into something more reasonable (or added more episodes to flesh out her endgame) it would have been truly perfect.
sun taehyung's storyline was also amazing. his background as an orphan, someone abandoned by the only family he'd ever known, and how that impacted his ability to connect with hyunjin and wooju was written so well. bae in hyuk is also an incredible actor; i think i might have cried with him in that episode where he finds out his brother left him to protect him from his abusive father. him slowly falling in love with hyunjin and wooju, creating a family of his own, learning that he can also love and BE loved by others, that his childhood wasn't his fault, everything about taehyung resonates with me so much.
also the baby is cute too. there's that.
lows:
the romance. what were we doing, genuinely?
i said that the sml line made sense from hyunjin's side, and it did. however, it made no sense from the sml's side. he has no personality aside from liking hyunjin, we barely know anything about him, and that makes his love of her so shallow. and they dragged it from episode 2 to episode 10 so they definitely could have thrown in at least one hj-centered trait. he's so generic webtoon ceo it hurts the eyes. again, it would have been perfect if they either shortened his arc OR developed him as a character. what's worse is that is that sml is a full-blown stalker in episodes 9-10, randomly showing up at hyunjin's house and also threatening taehyung like his abusive dad is somehow his fault, and sabotaging taehyung at every turn. and then in episode 12 we completely forget that. sml is overly kind again, supportive of taehyung as hyunjin's boyfriend, he's invited to wooju's birthday, and everyone loves him?? actually it's not even a case of split personality, it's everyone in-universe treating the stalker behavior as perfectly normal, including hj and th?? please address the gray trunk in the room.
the main romance is adorable (two sad people finding each other always is), but it's sprinkled through until episode 10, when they finally get together. the last two episodes do make it worth it, however.
watch if: you're normal about women, you can enjoy interesting characters even if they're not mother theresa incarnates, you don't care about romance
don't watch if: you admire andrew tate in any way, you're there for the baby, you hate working moms, you think mothers should kill themselves for their children, you get really invested in male characters and start projecting on the fl, boy moms in general stay away. roh jeong eui should legally be allowed to * some of you

From “Our Universe” to a Messy Love Triangle
For a long time I was debating whether to write a review or not. In the end, I decided it was worth explaining why my rating is so low.First of all, I have to say that the teaser really impressed me. From it, it truly seemed like this would be a warm, cozy family drama, and the beginning was honestly very good.
However, after that the story turned completely upside down, and instead of watching “Our Universe”, it started to feel more like “I Can’t Choose Just One.” At first I tried to be patient and assumed the situation with the SML would be resolved quickly and clearly. But unfortunately my expectations were not met, and instead we got an unnecessary love triangle. The fact that there were more sweet moments between the SML and the FL than between the actual main leads definitely did not add any charm to the story.
I’ll admit that the last few episodes were a struggle to watch. I simply skipped most of the scenes with the SML because, in my opinion, they were completely unnecessary for the story.
Then there was the father storyline. While it at least had some purpose—since already in the first episode we saw the ML’s older brother worrying about their father being released from prison—it still didn’t feel properly developed. And then the child protection services appeared. This storyline should have been part of the plot from the very beginning, but instead it only showed up in the last two episodes. Everything about it felt forced and unrealistic. They had been taking good care of the child throughout the entire drama, and then suddenly—boom—the moment the child services appear, everything turns into unnecessary drama, and not in a good way.
It feels like the writers tried to include too many different storylines, but they never truly connected with each other, even though it would have been quite easy to do so.
I also don’t want to say too much about the acting, but I honestly wasn’t impressed. By the end, there was no chemistry between the main leads at all. To be honest, watching them together felt uncomfortable and even a bit cringe.
It was really difficult to finish this drama. If I had started watching it after all the episodes were already released, I’m pretty sure I would have dropped it. This time I did finish it, but I have to admit I skipped through quite a lot.
I have never rated a Korean drama a 1 before in my life, but this time I will.
Final rating: 1/10.

FL and 2nd lead is irritating
They get way too much screen time, I thought this was about two in laws coming together to raise their nephew, not a stupid love triangle .2nd ML gets too much screen time and FL is so annoying and most plot lines feels unnecessary .
I want someone to cut the whole drama keeping only ML and baby. Only reason this show is digestible

DON'T WATCH
This drama is horrible in every possible way. The female lead is painfully dull not just quiet or subtle, but completely lifeless, with no depth, no growth, no charisma. Every scene with her feels dragged out and empty. The writing is lazy, repetitive, and insultingly shallow,as if the directors thought viewers would ignore the terrible plot just because the baby is cute. Even the cute moments feel manipulative. It’s frustrating, poorly executed, and honestly a waste of time from start to finishWas this review helpful to you?

Two Broken People, One Baby, and a Family in the Making
From the very beginning, Our Universe feels like it is setting up something emotionally heavy and meaningful. The premise itself carries a lot of weight. Two people who barely know each other are suddenly forced to live together and raise a 20-month-old baby after their siblings pass away in an accident. The idea of two broken individuals trying to deal with their own grief while also becoming responsible for a child had the potential to create a deeply emotional and powerful story. The drama follows Woo Hyeon Jin and Seon Tae Hyeong, two in-laws who initially dislike each other. After the tragedy that leaves baby Woo Joo without parents, they end up sharing a house and raising him together. At first their relationship is full of arguments and tension, but slowly things change. Their dynamic gradually moves from bickering enemies to reluctant partners, then to friends, and eventually something deeper begins to grow between them.
One of the strongest aspects of this drama is the slow burn development of the relationship between the main leads. Their feelings do not appear suddenly or through dramatic romantic moments. Instead, the show focuses on small, everyday gestures that slowly build trust and affection. Moments like encouraging each other to follow their dreams, worrying about each other during difficult times, or quietly supporting each other through personal struggles make their relationship feel natural and believable.
Both characters also go through meaningful growth. Tae Hyeong begins as someone emotionally closed off because of his childhood trauma and feelings of abandonment. Over time he slowly becomes more responsible and open as he learns to care for Woo Joo and support Hyeon Jin. Hyeon Jin, on the other hand, starts off somewhat immature and unsure about her own life, but the responsibility of raising Woo Joo pushes her to grow into someone more emotionally stable and determined.
Of course, the true star of the show is baby Woo Joo. The child actor steals almost every scene he appears in. His presence brings warmth and humor to the drama, and many viewers may find themselves watching the show mainly for his adorable moments. In many ways, Woo Joo truly feels like the center of the story, the person who slowly brings the two leads together and helps them form a family.
The share house setting also works very well. The house actually feels like a real lived-in space rather than just a set, and it helps create a cozy and intimate atmosphere for the story. The neighbors and supporting characters add charm as well, creating small but memorable moments that expand the world of the drama.
However, the drama is not without its flaws. Some viewers may feel frustrated by the love triangle, which at times feels unnecessary and overly dramatic compared to the more grounded parts of the story. The second male lead in particular feels somewhat underdeveloped and one-dimensional, mostly existing to create tension rather than having his own meaningful arc.
The pacing can also feel slow at times, especially in the early episodes. The story takes a while to fully build momentum, and some viewers might lose interest before the emotional payoff arrives.
Still, what makes Our Universe stand out is its focus on quiet emotional development rather than dramatic storytelling. It shows how love and family can slowly grow through shared responsibility, grief, and everyday life. The relationship between Hyeon Jin and Tae Hyeong does not rely on big romantic gestures but instead develops through small, meaningful moments that make their bond feel genuine.
Overall, Our Universe is a gentle, slow-burn drama about healing, responsibility, and building a family in unexpected circumstances. It may not appeal to viewers looking for fast pacing or dramatic romance, but for those who enjoy character driven stories and gradual emotional development, it offers a warm and heartfelt experience.

Starts so fun! then MAJORLY flops :( Watch only ML and Baby - they are AMAZING! - and ff FL
The rating: 10/10 for ML and the baby -- 0/10 for FL 7/10 for SMLML and Woo Ju are the stars, the show is worth it for them. ML actor is EXCELLENT at his very complex role, so energetic and COMICAL and so good with Woo Ju. Woo Ju is a precious gem. SO JUST WATCH ML AND BABY. The overall ratings are too high to protect ML and WooJu actors.
FL is a REALLY bad actress, so FLAT. She looks malnourished, lifeless, weak and tired, .... Has no connection with Woo Ju or ML.
Side actors are pretty good. SML is mediocre actor. Looks cute to so some
The first few episodes.ML is a jerk, and FL is so lifeless parasitic... Then after ep 2 it gets pretty good, FL perks up, gets a job, protects the baby, and ML transforms totally into a very caring dad.
As soon as SML shows up, WATCH ONLY ML AND BABY -they are AMAZING!!!!! and fast forward FL and SML.
Then FL turns into a slime and chases her first love SML and goes on dates with SML (while ML does free babysits)… FL-SML dating takes all the time, and we barely get to see ML and the baby, and the whole drama is a flop.
FL leads on/ strings two guys at the same time, and forgets the kid. She uses ML as a free babysiter while she goes on dates and often takes Woo Ju on her flirt escapades with SML
FL is treating Woo Ju the baby as a pet fish - she buys aquarium and pet food and orgets it... ML provides "home" for WooJu .. FL has no connection with Woo Ju... bc she is going on dates with SML ... and taking WJ with her... meanwhile ML is going bananas bc he fell in love with her... and WJ is anxious to see his "mom" flirt witih someone who is not his "dad"…. SML persists and Woo Ju gets used to it and ML leaves…
SO this is only 12 ep drama and UNTIL THE END OF ep 9, FL is still with SLM flirting, and at the very very last scene of ep 10, she cheesily confesses to ML… without any real feelings... the vibe was "pleae dont leave, I need free and reliable housemaid, who is gonna babysit for me when I go on dates" - so fake ...
Ep 11 and 12 are super cheesy and fake and nothing feels like romance between them... FL actress is a total flop, cannot act
=====
EVERYONE!!! i think I can put into formal language why this drama flopped.
Another user and I were discussing 'emergent love' (intentionally working in partnership to deepen the love) versus rom-coms and "submergent love" (falling in love without any effort) so now I can explain why Our Universe was such a tragic flop - and how to fix it.
Our Universe had a baby .... so that attracted audience which is not totally airheads. But the drama makers didnt get it... the drama was done like a classic brainless rom-com
A typical rom com is made for the audience that uses dramas instead of alcohol or drugs to turn off their brain and go into delulu fantasy mode...
- and such audience loves to fantasize about how great they could be and how much they can own/have... and wants to see only delulu fluff... NO work, committment, etc - only RECEIVING good things and RULING THE WORLD .... this kind of audience watches Perfect Crown, Dynamite Kiss. Pursuit of Jade, etc.
So that's why the drama had that FL character - bc that was a TYPICAL trash rom-com character - trash rom-com audience wants to see other ppl kissing their as@ - just like Sunbae and ML were bending backward for FL ... so that triangle plot was put into Our Universe to serve that purpose
so Our Unverse was done as a classic trash rom-com - started with falling in love bc they just happened to be living together (submergent love) but then failed to enter the stage of emergent love, (working in partnership to deepen the love)... and even worse, continued as a classic cheesy rom com with the love triangle as the focus - the drama totally forgot about the baby....
Emergent love plot is the plot that typical rom com audience HATES bc typical rom com audience likes only utmost delulu fluff - but Our Universe audience was a lot more mature audience and totally protested the drama when it became obvious that emergent love was not happening - and the sacrificed was the baby.
Our Universe Audience first protested bc baby was left hanging, neglected and essentially abused, in this trashy rom-com. Then the audience protested bc the ML was left hanging too.
So Our Universe could have been a rare true good rom com where submergent love evolves into an emergent love - the plot was there, THE AUDIENCE WAS THERE - but the drama choose to stay in trash rom-com mode and make drama called "FL and Sunbae Universe".
And one of the main red flags was the FL actress - where she shows up is most likely ONLY trash mode. If you see her in a drama, run.
So I think they need to redo Our Universe under a different name :) Wait a tiny bit until ppl forget Our Universe flop and then make a very similar drama but do it right
To be honest, that ML actor is perfect for that role and should be the male lead. ANd Woo Ju should be the child lead but he will be too big very soon - but why not, have a drama about Woo Ju later...
How about this - have Our Universe Season 2 where ML and FL split and she goes back to Sunbae and they go to the USA and leave Woo Ju with ML... so we watch him develop his photography, raise Woo Ju and then... he runs into a good woman and we see that relationship develop and Woo Ju get a great mom and ML get a great wife. it would be 16 ep at least
I think Our Universe makers really owe it to the audience to do that drama right
===== MY REVIEW AFTER WATCHING 10 EPISODES ====
THE SYNOPSIS: FL initiated flirting with SML, he abused his office power to flirt back, and FL gladly continued flirting with him, until he went overboard with stalking her and she got tired of it AT THE VERY END OF EP 9, but she still did not stop him.
It was by sheer luck that her need for a good housekeeper made her stop SML - her housemaid / babysitter was suddenly leaving and she needed to take care of that business. She REALLY realized how nice it is to find a clean house and a fed, bathed and asleep baby when she gets home from dates with her first love. So she begged ML to stay and keep her life comfortable, and he consented.
THIS IS FL-CENTERED DRAMA, SO WE GET TO SEE FL-SML ON THE SCREEN A LOT BC FL IS DATING HIM. ML is a secondary character as a roommate who does free housework and babysitting while FL goes on dates.
*It was FL who started chasing Sunbae when she met him at work, ah so thrilled about her first love showing up, and CONSTANTLY MENTIONING THOSE OLD TIMES. * He did not say a thing to her, she kept chasing him.
At that point, SML had no idea she had kid and ML, and he was a boss, so he used his authority to select her to work with him, and SHE CONSENTED, AND KEPT UP FLIRTING WITH ML, and totally completely forgot about Woo Ju so many times and used ML as a free babysitter.
And FL intentionally dragged both guys on the leash.... having a great office romance where she got to be promoted based on her romance, and at home she had a free housemaid / babysitter for free. She was going on dates and coming home to a clean house, fed bathed and asleep kid. WONDERFUL.
She had no connection with Woo Ju, and acted as a very flimsy irresponsible guardian.
SML kept inserting himself and FL was happy to spend time with him…. until he really went overboard- showing up at the first Woo Ju show. SO VERY LAST SCENE OF EP 9 IS THE FIRST TIME FL WAS NOT HAPPY TO SEE SML. But still she did not send SML back.
AND SHE NEVER CALLED HIS UNCLE TO SEE HIS FIRST SHOW.
AS USUAL, FL DID ***NOT*** THINK ONE BIT ABOUT WOO JU
FL by script is a very weak parasite, a woman child, the drama is her love story regardless of how anyone else feels, she drags two guys and essentially tortures them to make her life comfortable, and she gives no thought to Woo Ju. SHE IS SUPER IMMATURE AND WEAK AND SLIMEY and the actress fits that
SML was a jerk, NOT TELLING he saw the ML there, then depriving Woo Ju of family time on weekend to go on a date .... SML was too entitled and too pushy and totally did not understand what it means to have a kid, and also, he ignored the thick feelings between ML and FL, and had the audacity to scold ML and tell him off. SML is really an ignoramus and a very entitled and manipulative person, LED ON BY THE SLIMEY PARASITIC FL, WHO INITIALLY THOUGHT IT WAS FUN TO ATTACH TO HIM, AND LED HIM ON UNTIL THE VERY LAST SCENE OF EP 9.
So both of those are ignoramuses. FL and SML are a perfect pair. The best ending to this drama was that those two run off to the USA and leave Woo Ju to ML and some nice woman who loves them both.
ML had his share of ignorance, leaving Woo Ju just like his brother left him. But in some ways he had no choice bc Woo Ju came attached to FL as his guardian, he could not take Woo Ju alone. However, ML was definitely a man child and jumped out of this for wrong reasons, for his own insecurities instead of nailing down FL to talk with her and to realize she is just using him. ML grew up a lot since ep 1, but he still did not overcome this character fault by ep 10.
FL stayed a slimey parasite to the end - that peck on the face at end of ep 10 saying PLEASE HOUSEMAID DO NOT LEAVE, I LOVE TO COME HOME AFTER MY DATES AND SEE THE HOUSE ALL CLEAN AND A BATHED FED BABY SOUND ASLEEP... PLEASE!!! DO NOT LEAVE ME TO DEAL WITH THIS MESS!!!!
and then ML being forced to kiss her - out of what... ???? we never saw any moments between them that would lead to a kiss. It was soooo fake. FL has zero sex appeal and zero attractiveness and zero ability to connect. Kissing her at the airport after her PLEASE STAY I NEED A GOOD HOUSEMAID!!!! begging ..... has ZERO sex appeal and kiss is just not called for. The swhole scene is just ... clearly fake. ML actor really really tried acting it and did well but the overall scene is fake.
The drama was not supposed to be about ML FL living in domestic bliss for 12 eps!!!! The script had to show two adults ML and FL with heavy past overcome their issues and come together in rasing a kid and being functional adults and a romantic pair - overcoming their character flaws and pasts - overcoming parastitic life, lingering first love, abandonment issues, criminal family, etc etc etc - that was all supposed to be a part of the plot but sped up to fit into 12 episodes. ML-FL should have both confessed by ep 6 and then dealt together with their character flaws, becoming “parents” and becoming a love pair, SML, kid, office, traumas from the past, etc.
Heck, cut out SML somehow, SML is SML for a good reason - HE APPEARS LESS ON THE SCREEN THAN ML. HELLO!!!!!! otherwise, call him the ML and denote ML to the supporting role.
SML and FL love story had most of screen time, and ML was just a supporting character to babysit while they went on dates, and that is a total and complete DISASTER, for the story and also for acting, ML and Woo Ju are the best actors here and most of us came to watch THEM, not fl-sml flirting.
So overall, the script is super trashy and whoever ordered and/or APPROVED that script is at fault.
I learned to always skip anything with this director, writer and/or FL actress. Their work has the signature FLOP.
========MY REVIEW AFTER WATCHING 4 EPISODES ========
This drama is a revolutionary approach to adulting and parenting, showing real struggle and real success that comes with some effort.... and a smart kid as an equal member of the family.
This drama is a treat!!!!! I LOVE THIS DRAMA!!! so refreshing, so lively and cute, and deep and ... realistic... that healthy toddler is totally real :) and the challenges of raising a kid and becoming a functional adult are also real...
Some parts are realistically scary... LOL ML started as a selfish immature jerk, he would have just let that child go!!!! but in later episodes, he becomes a caring and engaged dad, better caretaker of Woo Ju than the FL.. .... I love that it is realistic, we see him starting as totally unwilling - as most men would LOL - and then transforming...
FL started as weak, but luckily already somewhat transformed, by ep 2 is already fighting! more energetic and lively and a lot better mom! Omg I so appreciate the script writer for not dragging her lifeless phase. It is such a relief to see her take good care of the kid and to see the kid flourish under her - and to see her flourish too. She got stronger and more vibrant and expressive and giving. More mature. But not enough - she too is selfish jerk, just in a more polite way, and keeps forgetting the kid. But ... she also makes progress...
it is hard bc FL actress is so ... malnourished that she does not seem energetic at all....
ML is energetic and strong and reaaally fun, I love that actor for his comedy skills, the ML character is making a great dad once he started turning around. It will be such a great pair with the baby.
THE BABY IS SOOOOO ADORABLE. He is a star :) I am so glad they are using AI for scenes with him so that the baby doesnt suffer from filming scenes with yelling adults etc.
The drama milked every opportunity for comedy and for cuteness... ML is an amazing comedian, the baby too, and FL is helping as well...
The filming makes it even more hilarious - translating baby's words, various angles of the camera, it is sooo creative!!!! I loved that front scene of ML that was head in the right corner of screen and his shoulder in the left corner. It was asymmetrical and really looked good, and very "up and coming new style". The filming is very dynamic. THe camera and video production are very creative and skilled and the comical effect of their work is hilarious.
Such a lovely sparkley alive refreshing drama. I LOVE IT!!!!
Please rate individual episodes so that the rating goes up! Spread the word!

I was thinking a lot about Woo Ju. The way the kid is portrayed is so .. revolutionary. I really love how they show him observing, talking and expressing his opinions... He is a smart cutie :) and it goes a lot deeper than just that. This idea that the parents are TALKING with the kid as an active participant and someone who has a say. Notice that Woo Ju never ever is allowed to dictate anything nor does he try.... . He is just asked for opinion. And he offers his opinion when something is really bothering him LOL and it is always for a good reason...
Woo Ju is shown as an entity of his own, with his own mind and emotions, and actively participating - he observes and reads the room and knows what is going on....
So: this drama portrays ****children as active participants in family, who have their say and who can be reasoned with.**** It is very remarkable. This is totally revolutionary according to the traditional upbringing where kids are more like furniture that the parent OWNS and arranges as they wish - including marriage, etc.
The drama is very deep. It is about what it means to be a good parent. That's deep….. sic
So overall, this is an AMAZING drama in so many ways.
I really like it a lot.
Minus some details LOL I want FL to eat, have some muscles on her and be energetic, lively and strong.
I love acting of ML actor, he is just amazing
and I totally adore Woo Ju :)
This is one of the best dramas ever, it is very funny yet profound and meaningful.
Calling it "Baby propaganda" is actually totally skewed bc children are a part of life, just like seniors are. The world does not revolve around young adults - although young adults like to think that way LOL The world does not consist only of working-age adults....Presence of children and elderly SHOULD BE totally normal.

Ignore the negativity, embrace "Woojoo's Universe"!
I've been following this show since it was first announced and it has been the happiest six weeks for me watching it every week as it aired. The overwhelming negativity for this show feels completely undeserved and feels more like viewer dissonance with the drama than the actual maker's fault.I will put it out there right off the bat that this drama is for people looking to watch a slow burn relationship built on a foundation of shared grief, responsibility, and friendship. If you are looking for instant gratification in grand pink-filtered dates and overt romantic moments, you won't find it until the end.
What this drama does well though is actually much rarer for kdrama standards. It shows how real feelings develop from scratch between two complete strangers who began their journey being bickering enemies, then to indifference, then slow attraction and finally deep love. It also shows how feelings manifest in real life unlike the usual loud moments that have become a prerequisite for romance shows.
These are evident in how Taehyung chooses to pick up the camera he vowed not to ever again just so that Hyunjin and Woojoo would have warm water at home, how Hyun Jin encourages Taehyung to give photography a try again and how both of them cheer for each other in their personal successes, how Hyun Jin worries about Taehyung the whole day even when she's out with her first love, how Hyun Jin stays up all night to tend to a sick Taehyung because she knows he hates the rain and how lonely he gets when it rains because of his childhood, how Hyun Jin only ever allows Taehyung to help her, see her vulnerability, tears and complaints, how Hyun Jin instinctively understands Taehyung's harsh words to her were from a place of fear and helplessness and how Taehyung immediately regrets what he said and comes home with a peace treaty in the form of food, and so many more instances I would need a rewatch to catch them all!
This is what love in real life looks like. And it was so refreshing to see these moments in a drama amongst the sea of other shows that always get the loud dramatic moments right but never stop to dwell on the smaller more "mundane" stuff that ironically create more lasting impact on the foundation of a longterm relationship. And even more rare to see them from a female lead when lately especially, it's always become the male lead showing up in small and big ways for female leads that hardly ever reciprocate the same kindness.
This natural camaraderie is obvious from the first day Taehyung moves in with Hyunjin and Woojoo, and how easily each of them fit into their individual roles in their "new family". Anyone observing from the outside can see the potential that already exists.
Both the leads have realistic and well written character arcs. Taehyung goes from being traumatized, selfish and afraid, to healed, selfless and responsible. Hyunjin goes from pampered and immature to emotionally stable, mature and accountable.
All because the other helped them and stood by them through actively choosing to provide for and be responsible for Woojoo, the center of their universe.
The title is completely apt here because both of them truly give Woojoo the universe, and it shows up in how every thought and action of theirs keeps Woojoo at the forefront. How Taehyung and Hyunjin choose to learn through their mistakes and find stability and love together. Like I said, this is so evident from the start that when they eventually acknowledge their mutual feelings and become a couple, it feels like any other day in their already established life together because they had already been a family long before both of them even realized it. The shift isn't jarring, but like any natural progression of a real world relationship.
Now does this show have flaws? Absolutely yes. The production quality is inconsistent and creates awkwardly paced editing jumps from time to time especially in the first few episodes, crucial scenes that appear in BTS videos like an almost kiss between the leads don't show up in the final edit, the plot introduces a mostly unnecessary love triangle that could've been concluded sooner and worked into one more episode of Hyunjin and Taehyung navigating coparenting, building new bonds with their neighbors who become their found family, and developing their relationship further so we might've ended up having two legal guardians for Woojoo (rn it's only Hyun Jin even though Taehyung is just as involved in Woojoo's life) and a wedding with Woojoo as their flowerboy ^^ !!
But none of this derails the show because there is adequate space given to all the secondary characters and plot points like the neighbors, their individual work lives and the inevitable legal obligations regarding guardianship. The leads have chemistry for days and this stays consistent throughout the show. The love triangle objectively doesn't take up any more space than is usually the case for this trope with the leads getting appropriate screentime together and individually in every episode. There is humor, friendship, romance and a whole lot of adorable moments between the leads and Woojoo to make this a worthwhile watch.
Bae In Hyuk is a fantastic actor with impressive comedic timing who gets a lot of moments early in the show to explore these strengths, his emotional moments could use some more work and I hate the makers for making him do all that aegyo in the end there but he makes them tolerable regardless, and his screen presence reminds me of Seo In Guk in so many ways and I can see a promising career for him in the future.
Roh Jeong Eui has the most loving gaze and prettiest smile when Hyun Jin looks at Woojoo and Taehyung. She makes her character thoroughly lovable and relatable. I cried with her when she breaks down in front of Taehyung seeing the insurance papers for her sister's death. It really hurt to see a character that had tried to remain so strong up until that moment finally lose it when she realized the true gravity and cruelty of that moment.
Park Yuho who played Woojoo is the highlight of the show. His tiny dialogues and adorable presence make every moment he's in even better. His reactions are truly the highlight of this show, so many meme worthy adorably hilarious moments from start to finish.
Park Seo Ham is unfortunately very forgettable here. He lacks screen presence in this drama and the show doesn't really do him any justice either with how one dimensional his character is written. The usual way green flag MLs and SMLs are who have no personality outside of serving the FL with no sense of boundaries and personal choice. Adding to this is how he also comes across very condescending and lacking awareness of his own privilege while also weaponizing it and his feelings for Hyun Jin to push Taehyung away in a very manipulative underhanded manner.
The neighbors, Taehyung and Hyun Jin's work colleagues and friends and neighbors on the other hand make a much better supporting cast and create many memorable moments as well as add to great world building.
This is a show you should watch for its slow appraisal of finding love where and when it is least expected, learning to be brave enough to rely on others, and the unique moments that come out of coparenting and shared living.
Is it the best? No. Does it deserve all this hate? Absolutely not. Does it get things right so many shows don't? 100% yes. Does it deserve a fair chance from new viewers? Absolutely yes.

Let's get our priorities straight
I know I probably shouldn't write a review when only half of the series is out, but this is too frustrating. The story revolves around two in-laws who came together to raise a baby after an unfortunate accident, or so I thought (and hoped).
I don't normally start with the bad aspects of drama, but this can not be ignored.
The plot relies way too heavily on the love triangle, and it's taking up so much screen time that it's starting to get annoying. I'm not a love triangle hater. I enjoyed series such as "Lovely Runner", "True Beauty" or "Can This Love Be Translated?" — these are some popular examples — but this one is way over-the-top.
The SML affection towards the FL makes no sense. Literally no contact for 7 years, but he somehow still loves her? Make that make sense. They weren't even dating, there was literally no time for his yearning to grow to this degree. And what's with the sudden ownership over the FL in ep 6? "OUR Hyunjin"?! What gives him the right?
The FL isn't completely innocent either. She could've set the record straight from the start and not lead him on. It's true that she had no interest in the ML in the beginning, but at least when she realised something was going on, she could've stopped giving the SML so much attention and giving him hope.
Moving on from the bad aspects, there is a good side to this drama as well. The story in nothing really out of the ordinary, but the actors really deliver it. I do get some second-hand embarrassment sometimes — and I can feel the awkwardness through the screen — but it's enjoyable.
The main leads' backstories are both tragic in one way or another. In the end they're two broken people coming together to raise a child in a manner which they didn't get to experience. I'm not going to go into to much detail.
The cinematography and OSTs are also good. I didn't pay much attention to the music, but it fits the overall vibe of the drama.
In the end, if you enjoy love triangles, or a cosy story with small hiccups along the way, its a good kdrama.

The Love triangle irritates
At first I think this drama is about two in law's who were initially not wanted to see eachother bring by fate , which way they survive in the real world along with the baby , from society. How to find love and happiness in the difficult situation. But as the story proceeds sml is introduced, the love triangle is taken more time, especially sml and fl have more time rather than ml and fl .
Also the ml was always alone and always the one who hurt .whom the ml trusts he / she breaks there heart . fl never keeps her promise.
I know few people's doesn't agree my review that sml is a bit selfish, whether he is a green forest or not.

Shit love triangle
My Review: A Total Waste of Time! please read this before watch this shit** I'm save your precious time)This is, hands down, the most frustrating drama I have ever watched. My head is spinning from how terrible the writing is. I only started this show because of the Male Lead (ML) and the child, thinking the story would revolve around them. I already had zero faith in the Female Lead (FL) because her characters are always the same—she strings two men along until the very last second and only "chooses" one when she has no other options left.
But this script? It’s on a whole new level of toxic. I can’t believe she is using one guy at home while simultaneously going on dates with her "first love" at the office! How can someone write something this disgusting?
For the first time ever, I am rooting against the main couple. I don't want the ML to end up with her at all. He is a wonderful character who deserves so much better than a manipulative FL. She belongs with the Second Male Lead (SML) so they can be miserable together.
I literally logged into this site just to give this drama the lowest rating possible. It didn't just waste my time; it genuinely ruined my mood. I’m beyond furious!

FAILURE
The Trailers were misleading. This drama promised to offer something fresh and healing.
We all thought it would be about young people struggling to find themselves amid all the difficulties, their traumas and past, all while welcoming their nephew into their lives and becoming parental figures for him.
But it really wasn't.
The producer and writer really FLOPPED REALLY HARD.
Instead of giving a concrete drama with a decent storyline, they went for the short and made a stupid love triangle that NEVER ENDS.
I get that the FL rekindling with her past first love (SML) is part of the concept of ''navigating life as a young adult and finding herself'', but there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for it to last for 7+ episodes. The baby plot was buried, and they made the ML stay like an NPC who suffers for an average, stupid girl who can't set boundaries.
Don't waste your time on this mediocre drama.
Giving it a 1 because it's impossible to give 0.5 (Sorry baby Woojo, you were amazing, but that stupid Sunbae ruined the drama)

Promising Beginning and End
I had started this drama before all the episodes had come out and I binged the first couple episodes. However, the plot started to drag at a certain point and there was too much focus on the love triangle and the second male lead. Truth be told, I didn't find that plot line to add a lot of value to the overarching story (it seemed like it was just needed for drama). I think there could have been other aspects the drama could explore and it seemed like a lot was packed into the final two episodes, almost as if they forgot they needed to cover all these things and needed to throw it all in at the last minute. The cast did a good job with what they were given, and the ending storyline was warm and fuzzy. Also, the child actor playing Woo Joo was really so adorable. However, there was definitely a lot that could have been done better though it's not a terrible drama if you go into it with no expectations. Was this review helpful to you?
