potatocouch:
He's so adorable when he gets tense. He can't meet Cen Jin's eyes, and he speaks really slowly.
God yessssss 😍 Yeah, he's starting to stand up for himself more and it's so cute.

potatocouch:
And when the ex said, "Aren't you afraid I'll tell her you're like this", Li Wu admitted, "I am, but I want you to know even more."
SO GOOD!!! Guard pupper protecting his home! I like that they utilise his height like this. Really goes to show that throughout his upbringing, he relied a lot on that to ever stand his ground.

potatocouch:
He truly reminds me of puppies from big dog breeds that'll be like a year old, but already 80 pounds.
You're SO right!!

potatocouch:
he smiles, I smile, we all smile.
 | We all smile!! |

potatocouch:
He's got a pretty subby dynamic in this too.
I'm noticing... 😏

potatocouch:
I was like ouch! People were dying. Not even a text or an email to make sure he wasn't one of them?
Honestly, yes... was thinking the same thing. Not even a single text? Yikes, just how bad was that breakup? 😬 I would be very resentful if I were bro

potatocouch:
Yeah, we'll say he was just a whole day early for their appointment to go see the doctor.
LMFAO

potatocouch:
He's not suddenly 35 because of his trauma, and he doesn't get the respect an older "love rival" would've gotten from the doctor. It's realistic.
Yes, exactly!! He's a realistic mature (as is seen compared to his school friends, for instance), but he's still a traumatized young man (and in many ways he's arguably more immature than his peers and I absolutely love this detail because trauma DOES work like that. Super mature on one hand and then surprisingly infantile on the other).
I can't express how enjoyable it is for me that the doctor is just kinda there like "okay, cool kid" about ML being a possible love-rival while ML is SEETHING. Pls. It's so funny and such a cool detail!

potatocouch:
They were just trying to angst it up, and show the audience how angry/miserable he was.
Yeah, I get it. Probably would've hit harder if it followed a linear narrative, but whatever, I guess xD I might've even been on his side!!

potatocouch:
From here on out, the present day arc is just gonna be Li Wu scheming, taking care of Cen Jin, and being clingy (with her time, not her body).
Delightful! Li Wu is in his scheming concubine era.

potatocouch:
they make the FL incompetent to highlight how competent the ML is even though he's younger.
YES!! Biggest pet peeve in romance, but especially noona romances!!! But Cen Jin is super capable and can do just about anything! ML isn't there to parent her or 'protect' her but rather to add to her life as an equal, and I think that's beautiful.
Him on the other hand... XD AHHAHA but that's why we're here

potatocouch:
He came back from the states DIABOLICAL. He put on quite the show. Giving her puppy dog faces and going, "I guess I'll just have a longer commute to work 🥺" KNOWING he was going to be moving across the hall from her from the start.
I AM SOBBBIIIINNNGGGGG- not the melodramatic pity party just for sympathy points, omgggggg. Where was bro in the US that he came back like this? Did he take a crash course by some Divine Feminine Influencer on how to attract a high-value woman?

potatocouch:
but wanted her to think they found it organically
Makese sense, though I somehow feel like Cen Jin started picking up on this and realized by the end. Not that he cares xD

potatocouch:
Oh, he would be pulling a fast one on me all the time because of those eyes LOL.
Bro gonna become a chef the way he'd have us cooked 👨🍳

potatocouch:
Honestly, as soon as she asked for him to accept her WeChat invite, she'd won him back. I think it's cute he can't really stay mad at her. We see this a lot with FLs, so it's cute to see with MLs too.
That is pretty damn cute, I will say, haha xD I'll have to wait and see that breakup then

potatocouch:
Hence why he had such a hard time in the states.
DONT MAKE IT WORSE!!!!! 😭😭😭 but yeah, that does make sense...

potatocouch:
so he ends up getting sick smh.
poor babyyyyyy (me a not-so-secret whump enjoyer: get sicker 😏)

potatocouch:
RR wrist grabs are right up there with piggy back rides for me.
Fellow person of culture 🤝🤝🤝🤝

potatocouch:
Even the teacher was too scared to stop her from telling off the entire class.
Never stand between an overprotective jiejie!!!
I also loved how she handled those bully moms!

potatocouch:
Tbh, his friends got on my nerves during this storyline.
Yeah, same here... felt a bit too much, especially since they're in their late teens, but then again, never underestimate the melodrama of a man, lol. I think all things considered, it did make sense and showcased the difference in maturity between them. Also, these dudes apparently know next to nothing about bro, so they assume he's in the same position that they are, when that couldn't be further from the truth. I do wish we would get a bit more of their friendship...

potatocouch:
He's basically who Li Wu's friend relies on since his actual father is abusive.
Ahhh, so he's the Cen Jin to bro's Li Wu xD

potatocouch:
I'm telling you, he never stood a chance lol. She eats guys like him for breakfast.
We love to see it!
I also usually don't care for side couples and skip them more often than not, but I'm not getting that urge with them so far. They seem cute xD

potatocouch:
I'm really enjoying your reactions and dissecting the drama with you. Your reactions are pretty similar to mine when I watched.
Eyyyy great minds! 🤣

potatocouch:
I'm glad you're warming up to the present day storyline too. He's such a mischievous simp in that timeline, I had a feeling he'd win you over.
Unfortunately, I am a simp for a concubine-coded green tea MLs for better and for worse 😂😅
I'm currently on 12. I slowed down a bit cuz I've been having headaches lately (why am I relating to the ML?), so I'm struggling to concentrate and also trying not to abandon my other dramas, haha. I have my notes ready, tho. I'll post them later 💕
