-The way he weaponizes submissiveness! And it WORKS on her every single time! Batting his eyes! Casting himself at her feet! Pretending to faint! waaaaaaaah it's so good for meoctopus_joy:
This is definitely one of the good things about the drama.
-Also VERY into He Xing Ming and Yang Ding Chen (I had to look up his name because I just call him Gaston). Every time they put their little heads together to try and get ahead I yell NOW KISS!!! at the screen. They're so cute and so terrible!octopus_joy:
And I called Yang Ding Chen "The Crimson Chin" a few posts back. We're on the same wavelength when it comes to his looks hahahaha.

He's very "classically handsome".
Meanwhile, I find He Xing Ming really adorable!! It's hard for me to take him being evil seriously, but acting-wise he's doing a decent job.
They have good chemistry as villains! It's just the writing trying to make me suspend my disbelief for certain things after ep 7 that I have an issue with. I'm like...come on, now. I can ignore some plot holes, but this is too much.
I honestly haven't had any issues with things being overly silly, like the martial arts competition was obvs a little dumb but I still enjoyed it - really kept up with the whole "this is a reality TV competition" elementoctopus_joy:
I actually loved the martial arts competition 😂 I thought it was fun. And I like the husband hunt because it reminds me of The Bachelorette. I just felt like it started to lose steam, and get a little nonsensical after a while.
I think I'm on ep 16. I'm sticking with it for now because of the leads, but I'm hoping the writing pulls a boomerang and gets more cohesive again.

I've seen him pop up here and there, and have even heard one (or two?) of his slower songs. I thought he had a pretty voice, but the song you linked is soooo good. I didn't know his voice was this versatile. The raspiness at 2:21 and the crazy high note at 3:09 were so satisfying. Not to mention the visuals 😩 The chains, the blindfold, and the dommes? Perfection. Also, I just love watching men in tank tops with nice biceps playing the guitar lol.
Thank you for the gift. I really hope this song's on Apple Music or my day will be ruined.
Also I canNOT let a femboy discussion go by without at least mentioning Cooheart:octopus_joy:
Ooh, I've seen him too! Isn't he one of the few openly gay actors in Thailand?? He's a cutie.
Anyone have any good watch I'm opendidichan:
Are you specifically searching for an RR drama, or would you be open to any dramas while you look for a good RR one? I have a few C dramas from last year that I really enjoyed.
The Journey of Legend This title was truly enjoyable to watch. While there isn't a lot of romance, aside from a couple that is meant to be villainous, I found myself loving them immensely. I don't care what others think. The the action in this film is absolutely spectacular.
RR titles that are my favorite - Exploration Method of Love , Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance, Angel's Last Mission: Love .
I'm feeling quite let down because it was a series I had been looking forward to since last year.Simi_Tutu:
I completely understand. I had also been highly anticipating this drama, so it's definitely a let-down and also a shame that yet another RR drama was made with such little care (reference to the ongoing Glory discussion and my disappointment with that as well).
I hope this doesn't come across negatively, but I actually prefer stubborn and arrogant male leads over female leads.Simi_Tutu:
From what I'm understanding of what you said, it sounds more like you take issue with the way arrogant & stubborn FLs are written. Which is... that they're written misogynistically. Because arrogant MLs are arrogant, stubborn, and cocky because of something worth being arrogant for and because they can back it up (by being cool and showing off their skill). Arrogant FLs on the other hand, are usually arrogant and spoiled, with no real reason to their arrogance (because they'll always be outshone by the ML) and with no way of backing it up (same reason). And their arrogance ALWAYS leads to issues that just don't happen to the MLs because women must be punished for every character flaw, always. Now, one could argue that arrogance leading to one's downfall is more realistic than not, but the inequality is the biggest problem, at least for me.
I don't remember you having an issue with the FL from Bound by Sin, for instance, and she was also quite arrogant. But she could back it up and was arrogant for a reason.
but you're correct—he contributed absolutely nothing. LOLSimi_Tutu:
And what he DID contribute was at the expense of FL's character, so... Yikes.
These convos are also solidifying my choice to drop it and keep it there. The issues are just too glaring.
Well, that's rather disheartening. It seems like a missed opportunity for the writers to have written something engaging.Simi_Tutu:
Wholeheartedly agree. I'm extremely tired of the scooby-doo type of investigation that literally every drama does. It gets so old and predictable, and it's usually even MORE irritating because they present it as an actual supernatural occurrence, but then SIKE it's not, which means they get increasingly more and more absurd with the suspension of disbelief, which would be greatly lessened if it had just been an supernatural occurrence. I know, it's shocking, but sometimes fantasy requires LESS suspension of disbelief than whatever this 'realism' bullshit is (+ it's bait and switch, which everyone knows by now, I LOVE (/sarcasm)). I could be wrong, but it seems like a lot of investigation-type dramas are following the Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty success formula. This drama reminded me a lot of it, but worse (and to think SToTD was already not great, but the acting, dynamics, and chemistry were at least nice).
If you want to give it one final try, skip the first case and start with the next one, and see if you prefer that. Because the first case will only get more and more ridiculous.
How did I miss this post entirely?
Once again had a reply finished but forgot to send it, and then closed my laptop, so my slightly delayed and likely more shallow response :-;Arclei:
Noooooo 😭
I'm paranoid if I have to step away from my computer in the middle of a response to you, so I paste everything in a word doc just in case. It's not perfect, and misses some stuff, but I'd rather have something than start from scratch.
No wonder. That makes more sense XDArclei:
If you know of any more femboys like Xiao Bo Xian, kindly share.
Oooh!!! I have a fun question for you. We already categorize men into handsome, pretty, cute, sexy, and femboy, but how would you categorize femboys? Like, how would you break them down if you were a professor teaching a course on femboys? Cause I'm sitting in the front row, and I'm curious. Why am I wildly attracted to Felix and Xiao Bo Xian, but not the XLOV boys? What is my femboy type?

(Idk...I figured you'd appreciate this kind of question lol).
Trailer sure seems promising... almost enough to make me consider joining you... but not enough xDArclei:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRnC7ign0RA&list=RDbRnC7ign0RA&start_radio=1
😒
I wouldn't know... I only heard him in historicalsArclei:
I wouldn't be surprised if he sang for mostly historicals. His voice is so haunting, I think I would've remembered it if I kept hearing it in modern-day dramas. (Then again I usually watch modern-day jiejie romances, so he might not be singing for that specific niche).
As for the songs, did you try looking for them with the original chinese title? I found that a lot of those sites have them only in the original language.Arclei:
I Shazamed the songs with my phone, so the ones that were available on Apple Music popped up with the Chinese titles and everything, but not the one I really wanted.
What a POS indeed! Poor RihannaArclei:
Yeah :-/ She seems like she's been able to move past it, but he just went on to victimize more women. And men. But that doesn't matter. He still has a largely female fanbase, and his tours sell out arenas 🙃
But there was a lot that I didn't fuck with in the ep I watched :(Arclei:
It's been a very long time since I've watched it, so I admittedly don't remember much, but now you've got me curious. What did you not rock with?
Noped out of the "Us" trailer when it started going into horror. I am NOT touching western horror with a ten foot pole, nope, no, not doing that.Arclei:
That's the thing about mindf*ck movies though...they're not what they seem. I was really nervous going into Us because of the trailer, and the fact that horror literally gives me nightmares. But the movie ended up not being scary at all, and was just a big metaphor for societal issues like classism. I went home and slept fine after the movie, which never happens. Like, I am a big baby. There are certain alien movies that have been scarier and made me sleep with my lights on lol.
(Also, it's funny you said you noped out of Us because Jordan Peele, the director, has another movie called Nope).
Thrown? No. Carried to some extent? Yeah. SFL to SML in Moonlit Reunion briefly. And Zi Ben Jia Da Shao! Zheng Hao Kang Hui Jia Zuo Lao Gong if you can handle how cringy that was, lol xDArclei:
Interesting. I've yet to see it. I feel like it's the last space missing in a game of RR Bingo.
I am SO deprived of the MLs being snatched by their ladies.Arclei:
Maybe we'll get more this year 🖤🖤🖤
Have you ever seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or House of Flying Daggers? That's what got most people I know into wuxia-type fighting, even people who don't normally watch C-dramas.potatocouch:
No, but the latter is on my PTW list. It's not that I think they're badly done (tho they are). I just find them to be cringe regardless, quite cheap (because usually this means that they don't bother to actually choreograph things properly because it'll be 90% slow-mo shots) and wildly out of place in realistic and grounded dramas. And yet, even in these realistic dramas, there's wuxia flying just like there's the magical-pulse-reading-of-truth... It just takes me out of it. Like, these fantasy elements that are ACTUALLY fantasy and do not and never did exist are fine even in realistic historical dramas, but women having rights even in fantasy dramas? DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!!!
No, I'm not bitter at all, why would you say that...
Yeah, matriarchy dramas never seem to show older, established RR couples in society. They treat RR like a "young person's game".potatocouch:
Yeah, like something you'll grow out of or will end in tragedy... Well, The Blossoming Love had one that kinda fit. I think you'd appreciate them even tho they're very much in the background. Maybe I should make a list of older RR couples... (watch it have like 2 titles)
Now that I've stopped binging the drama, I'm finding it hard to pick up again.potatocouch:
Same for me. Put it on-hold after ep 8. I'll see if I feel any different about it in a couple of months once I mostly forgot about it... With the cloud of slump looming over my shoulder, I can't afford to take risks.
I love our OC <3 Should we name her?potatocouch:
Omg, yay, let's do that! I don't have enough knowledge on Mandarin to be very confident in my naming abilities, but I have google and a name list that I've been collecting, so we can probably figure something out. You got any ideas so far? Any vibes?
Also, let me know if you think I should use spoiler tags.potatocouch:
Couldn't find anything spoilery, so I think you're good.
Her being an older, veteran green tea instead of a contemporary is brilliant!!! It would intensify the RR and the whump. And the initial tension between her and Shan Bao. She could even have a combative relationship with Grandma Rong since Grandma Rong sees through her. It would be a good way to involve Grandma Rong so she can do more than sit in her chair.potatocouch:
Ooooh yes!! Deepening the dynamic with all three characters at once! Love this!!
Augh, can you imagine how those two ended up getting married? Like how did that happen? 'Cause bro somehow managed to find a woman from a brothel and somehow convince not just his grandma, but AAAALLLL of his jiejies to let them marry before any of his jiejies!!! Either that or some scandalous situation must've happened, which... I'm not exactly against, either... 😏 Me and my scandals, lmfao
(I love that you speak in Star Wars memes and I speak in The Office memes).potatocouch:
So true! We each have our quoting library xD
Working on it 🙂↕️ I feel much better today.potatocouch:
That's great to hear! As I always say, hydrate don't diedrate
Praying on his downfall 💀potatocouch:
This caught me so off guard... BUT IT'S FOR A GOOD CAUSE!!!!
That took me by surprise too! Didn't he, like, crawl to her? And I was scandalized (and thoroughly enjoyed) the detail of them being hella sweaty in the next scene while they plotted. But tbh, I didn't pay as much attention as I should've at first because I was trying to Sherlock homegirl's motives. I was suspicious that she was going to hurt the Rong family.potatocouch:
I don't know what episode you're on, but...their storyline's gonna be another thing you're disappointed by :-/
HE DID CRAWL TO HEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR- AAAAAA. Go rewatch it, bestie ;) for the convo
Also, Sherlock Homegirl is hilarious xD
Bro, spoil me- how did they ruin it this time?
It's minidrama and fanfic brain rot 😂 Minidramas are gonna be very upset if fics get off scot-free in this accusation.potatocouch:
Shit, guilty as charged 😭😅
Oooohhhh!!!! Seeing her composure slip would also be good!!!! It would've been a great place to start foreshadowing that her blindness is an act. Cause if it's an act, I guarantee the current writing is gonna drop that on us with all the subtly of a ton of bricks.potatocouch:
Oh, 10000%
At this point, I hope she is actually blind cuz that'd actually subvert my expectations a little bit. But I'm grinning evily thinking about our headcanon >:)
Yknow what, I think I might write a lil ficlet about this scenario RQ because it's kinda lingering in my brain for too long...
The ideas are flowing because they're usually repressed LOLLLL. They couldn't wait to get out. I really want to go all-out and write a toxic FL one day, but so far the most toxic woman I've ever written was the FL in the story I told you about where she clocks the charming sociopath at school, and starts playing mental games with him—and winning. (Wish I'd gotten further with that story).potatocouch:
Well, there's no time like the present 😏😌 I know the feeling tho... like augh, I'm so in need of a good toxic FL <3
Have you written any toxic FLs? Original or fic?potatocouch:
I was gonna be like "omgggg, nooooo- I just love healthy FLs too muuuuuuch" but I'd be lying straight through my fucking teeth.
I've written a few... Most notably (original).... A kidnapping stalker, a mad scientist, a political schemer with obsessive tendencies, a violent antihero, an apologist mafia boss, a domme arsonist, a deranged priestess, and uh... those are the ones I can remember rn (kinda in order from worst to best, lol)
And of course... can't forget my Gyeongsong Creature fanfic (secondary dynamic) and of course, the fact that I'm like 3 fics deep into the secondary dynamic from A Dream Like the True Love xD In case you still somehow did not check out the drama (how??) I'll spoil it for you rq: SFL forces ML to become her boytoy/concubine under the threat of killing his family and... yeah~~
Listing this made me realize that I have more toxic FLs than I thought. Most my FLs are still wholesome, I'd say, but wow, it's not the "omg, I'd NEVERRRR" that I thought it was, which makes sense because... I like red-flag FLs :P But I should honestly write way more and way worse, haha. At least one nasty self-indulgent one, yknow? xD Get all those bottled-up feelings out- It could be like a challenge
She'd be like, "Oh, Shan Bao's so much better than me, huh? Okay. Then I'll stand out by being worse."potatocouch:
*chefs kiss*
I almost feel proud that I've created a love triangle you'd be into 😂potatocouch:
You should be 😏
I think I'd want her to go and lash out at someone else. Maybe sneak into the tea fields to do it? He follows her because he knows how destructive she is, and he's worried she's gonna sabotage the family somehow. And a small part of him is just drawn to her intensity and anger. Anyway, he follows her and sees her command some guards to pluck a young man picking tea. They take him to a remote area in the tea fields, and she starts whipping him, yelling at him, and calling him the cousin's name. She's so furious, she starts crying, but doesn't stop whipping the young man. She keeps yelling at him like he's the cousin and talking about all the times the cousin has rejected her, and compared her to Shan Bao when all she wants to do is love him and have him by her side. The cousin watches from a hiding spot in horror, but for the first time realizes the depth of her feelings (and obsession).potatocouch:
I'm stuck between letting him sneak away and tend to that boy's injuries later or having the 4th sister catch him watching. I'm leaning toward the former, so he can have a chance to digest what he saw, and start dealing with the mix of fear and flattery (?) that scene evoked in him.
GIRL I NEED THE FUCKING FANFIC CUZ THIS IS SO GOOOOOODDDDDDDDD- Letting her vent out her years of anger, frustration, and hurt on some poor dude is *chefs kiss* And her calling boy cousin's name while doing it?! EVEN BETTTERRRRR!!!! OMGGG!!! GIVE ME THE AAAAANGST!!!!! All while he watches in horror and slight understanding....???
Oh, both options are SO tempting. The sadistic side of me wants to say option 2 but I think option 1 is the better one... cause then.... he can digest all of that.... and she can find out that he knows after she sent a servant to bring the boy medicine (lets give her at least a chunk of a heart) and THEN SHE CAN KNOW THAT HE KNOWS AND HE CAN KNOW THAT SHE KNOWS THAT HE KNOWS- and where will it go from there?! Is she apologetic? Is she avoiding him? Trying to explain herself? Pretending like nothing happened or.... maybe wanting to speed things up with him to get him to keep quiet about it? Mmmmm~ This could be what gets them compromised. But I'm evil, you know this xD
- "And a small part of him is just drawn to her intensity and anger." - AUGH. I need the fanfic so bad, girl- This dynamic bro, I fear you devoured
I really like reason #3 though. It would deepen her resentment for Shan Bao, thus making their dynamic even more interesting.potatocouch:
That one was my favorite too.... Augh, it'd be so good and it'd add a level of idk... realism to the character, like she isn't all evil, she does try to do right sometimes, but it all blows up in her face, and then she explodes about it. Like yummy yummy angst~
And not censor my thoughts. I'm always censoring my thoughts outside of this club and in real life because I don't want to scare people 😂 (I usually still do...le sigh~)potatocouch:
SCARE PEOPLE!! Embrace being weird!!!
ZGZZS has a special place in my heart because of that. I wish MDL showed the date of posts instead of saying "__ months ago", so we knew our friendship anniversary<3potatocouch:
Awww, I know right?!?!! Such a shame!

I'm paranoid if I have to step away from my computer in the middle of a response to you, so I paste everything in a word doc just in case. It's not perfect, and misses some stuff, but I'd rather have something than start from scratch.potatocouch:
Yeah, I should start doing this too. I do this when I know I'll be away, but I didn't think my dumbass would forget and closed the laptop 😭

but how would you categorize femboys? Like, how would you break them down if you were a professor teaching a course on femboys? Cause I'm sitting in the front row, and I'm curious. Why am I wildly attracted to Felix and Xiao Bo Xian, but not the XLOV boys? What is my femboy type?potatocouch:
Beautiful.
Femboy, or the better term feminine man is a broad spectrum and can look wildly different depending on the person. Femboys can be cute, sexy, pretty, gorgeous, anything really (I'm inclined to say no to handsome because that's so commonly associated with masculinity, but I'm not the femboy police *shrugs*).
There's also levels to femininity. The skirt-wearing uwu catboy femboy is the most recognized, but femininity is far more than just that. What Tang Shihao and Felix have in common (aside from being hauntingly beautiful) is they're very elegant, almost ethereal. Like angels. Which yes, is my favorite kind of feminine man too, lol. Elegance in men is restricted only to gentleman-ness, and I think that's such a miss because fuck no. Graceful elegance in men is criminally underrated
I think the difference between these two and XLov is that Xlov have a specific aesthetic that the previous two seem to have less defined. Xlov are very much going for diva vibes, more similar to popular women celebs rn with bold, extravagant c*nty outfits and flirtatious hip-swaying. Your type of femboy seems to be more graceful, elegant angelcore and not 'would step on me' divas xD
Not sure if any of that made any sense to anyone other than me cuz it's so... specific. But I do appreciate this question, thank you for indulging me xD
I wouldn't be surprised if he sang for mostly historicals. His voice is so haunting, I think I would've remembered it if I kept hearing it in modern-day dramas.potatocouch:
Kinda hard to miss, yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if does historicals exclusively.
I Shazamed the songs with my phonepotatocouch:
Oh, I see... what a bummer :(
He still has a largely female fanbase, and his tours sell out arenas 🙃potatocouch:
Why of course... what else would there be?
but now you've got me curious. What did you not rock with?potatocouch:
One of the FLs couldn't act to save her life. She looked like a kid's cartoon villain, it was atrocious (she showed up a lot, I think she might've been SFL?), and there was also a whole lot on terminal illness, which is not my scene at all. Intern had watched it and said it gets tedious with endless hospital bedside scenes, which are only entertaining to me if they're for whump and for the ML 💀 I also remember I found the detective ML to be absolutely insufferable. Like, I understand bro was having a very very very bad time but also... good grief, was he unbearable. I remember him just yelling in my ear ALL THE FUCKING TIME. The fit was just the cherry on top
But the movie ended up not being scary at all, and was just a big metaphor for societal issues like classism.potatocouch:
Oh, I see..... Hmmm, what a misleading trailer. Well, that does make it more watchable, but I still dunno about the mindfuckyness xD
Lol about the unintentional pun.
Interesting. I've yet to see it. I feel like it's the last space missing in a game of RR Bingo.potatocouch:
I keep mentioning it because it did quite some things nicely, but it also fell short in a lot of things. If you ever do actually wanna consider watching it, let me know what I can give you the pros and cons
Maybe we'll get more this year 🖤🖤🖤potatocouch:

I feel like there was one more post of yours, but I can't find it? Did I make it up? How many replies did you send me today?
Simi_Tutu:

I'll watch anything as long as it has good acting, well written…
Wait are we not liking the glory?
So, I can't sleep (as usual) and decided to give this short drama a try:

Has anyone seen it? I'm about halfway through, and it seems to be more RR-leaning than full RR, but so far the characters and the RR moments have made the drama worth it.
FL is a duke/military officer's daughter who's pissed that her scummy fiancé knocked up his mistress. She wants to call off the wedding, but her fiancé's family is also powerful and won't let her. She's fed up with the double standards, and decides to get a boy toy. She sees ML, falls for him at first sight, and kidnaps him before he can become a monk. He also happens to be the crown prince, of course. What follows is a really adorable relationship with great chemistry! ML is also the actor who played the ex-husband in Hong Luan Yin. His character had his cute moments in that drama, but I didn't know he could be this cute. Both me and the FL just wanna pinch his cheeks.
The Highlights:
- FL is the perfect balance of cunning, domineering, nurturing, and cute. She's always petting, stroking, and pulling a bewildered, scandalized ML around (as you can see from the pics. The belt tug was one of my faves 😭❤️)
- ML is a tsundere done right!! Instead of being annoying, he's serious but cute, gentle, constantly flustered at FL's boldness (because hello...he was about to become a monk before FL kidnapped him) and very bbg-coded even if he is a prince
- ML is in pretty veils and those hats with the sheer fabric to hide him from prying eyes. The FL's mistress must not be seen. It's too dangerous 😌 He must've also stolen some silver face jewelry from the male entertainer in HLY...
- ML is downbadddd for FL in the sweetest, quietest way with soft smiles and prolonged eye contact with his big sparkling eyes
- FL loves taking his hand in hers and comforting him
- FL also likes to feed and baby him
- ML's parents (aka the whole emperor and empress) find out he's been kidnapped pretty quickly, but basically tell the palace guards to leave him there (💀) because him being kidnapped by a woman he could fall for is better than him becoming a monk.
- A kabedon against a wrought iron fence-looking thing
- A brushed kiss against ML’s knuckles
- Endless reassurance from FL to ML because she’s trying to stay single and “free”, but he wants to marry her so bad.
Hopefully the drama stays good, and continues to lean (heavily) into RR until the very end. I'm pleasantly surprised so far. I'll report back if it doesn't lol. If anyone wants the link with full audio, let me know 😊
Wait are we not liking the glory?didichan:

I realize I'm quite late to this conversation, but oh my goodness, he is truly one of my favorite singers! His voice is incredibly powerful, yet it has a softness and beauty. The energy he brings to the stage during his performances is truly astonishing!

She's fed up with the double standards, and decides to get a boy toy. She sees ML, falls for him at first sight, and kidnaps him before he can become a monk.potatocouch:
An absolute badass power move!! I love it when women are shady!!! Kidnap that boytoy!!! Bro sounds like Yan Bailuo if he slayed xD
His character had his cute moments in that drama, but I didn't know he could be this cute. Both me and the FL just wanna pinch his cheeks.potatocouch:
Completely valid!!!! Evidence that it's not about the actor but the role, cuz omggggg he looks SO CUTE HEREE!!!! Hopefully he does more roles like this...
Great screenshots! I love the third one especially, looks so whimsical! (and ML in a veil 🥵)
The Highlights:potatocouch:
Replying in order
- "She's always petting, stroking, and pulling a bewildered, scandalized ML around" - LOVE handsy FLs so much!!! Especially when the MLs are absolutely scandalized about it!! We love to see it!
- "he's serious but cute, gentle, constantly flustered at FL's boldness" - Cute bbg flustered-mess tsundere ML my beloved!!!! 😩 What a great combo!
- "The FL's mistress must not be seen. It's too dangerous" - MEN IN VEILS, FUCK YEEEAAAHHH. Also, face jewelry, you say????
- "with soft smiles and prolonged eye contact with his big sparkling eyes" - Say less, we love to see it. They both seem to be down bad for each other, and that's that good shit
- "FL loves taking his hand in hers and comforting him" - 💖😩🥵👏🥳😋😌
- "FL also likes to feed and baby him" - Awwww, he's really living up to the boytoy title, huh
- "ML's parents find out he's been kidnapped pretty quickly, but basically tell the palace guards to leave him there" - I'm crying, that's hysterical, omg xD His parents are something else, lmfaaaoo wtf
- "A kabedon against a wrought iron fence-looking thing" - Always a sucker for a good kabedon
- "A brushed kiss against ML’s knuckles" - omggggggggg 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩
- "Endless reassurance from FL to ML" - we love a responsible domme <3 I know they'll probably end up married at the end, and he'll basically 'allow' her to keep her freedom, but it would be kinda nice if he decided to just remain as her boytoy and she remain as some wealthy businesswoman...
Did it end up committing to the RR until the end? Sounds really based (and not too long). Added to my PTW!! Thanks!

Here's to hoping Ha Joon and Min Young deliver their best performance. I'm crossing my fingers this drama won't let me down.
Wow, the opening scene features a guy using a chainsaw to sever his own fingers for insurance. How delightful! I suppose that perfectly establishes the tone for the rest of the story, even though I'm cringing so hard right now. No amount of insurance cash would ever convince me to do something like that. No way!
As a side note, the gangster who gave him the insurance document is, dare I say, kind of attractive ... don't judge me; sometimes, there is just something about a guy in a sharp, tailored suit that catches your eye. Oh, and he's got a tattoo... my kryptonite.
How tragic...He might be easy on the eyes, but that's the extent of his charm, because this guy is terrible at fighting . Cha U Seok is wiping the floor with him. lmao
Wait, does Min Young actually play a spy? I haven't seen the trailer, so I'm completely blown away right now. I can't recall her ever portraying a character like this before.
No way, are you kidding me? The factory workers actually chop off their fingers, believing they'll get some kind of payout, and then this sleazy gangster just pockets all the cash for himself? That's beyond messed up! So, they basically mutilated themselves for absolutely nothing? Oh my God!
Let me get this straight: the poor little girl is being mistreated by her mother? Is that the gist of it? I've had my fair share of third-degree burns from boiling water, there's no way a mere pot of Ramen could cause burns on both legs, arms, and part of the cheek. That definitely screams intentional...
Is everyone in this drama really engaging in insurance fraud by unlawful injuries? I mean, the mother is clearly doing it on purpose; she's actually trying to make a down payment on a car right after her daughter gets burned and is stuck in a hospital bed. What is happening here? This is just the first episode, and I'm already feeling quite frustrated with many of the characters.
This isn't the first time she's done this to that poor little girl; she's already blinded her once before for money.
Alright , Miss Goddess in white, just stroll out of the dressing room brandishing a knife. Nothing to see here, folks! Just keep doing your thing. lol
Ok, so Han Seol A operates an auction house, but I'm still hoping she's a spy haha!
I'm starting to think this is a Korean drama trope where the hospital morgue, and the glass mirror are in collusion to expose the murderer. You might think, "Oh, they're weeping because someone has passed away," but then you see their reflection and suddenly, surprise! They are smiling.* fake a gasp* they killed their family member!
I'm betting on the other auctioneer who believes she can compete with the FL; I think her name is Kim Yun-Ji ? She's definitely going to be murdered. I'm saying this now because she's simply trying too hard.
