Tell me about it ! And FL is supposed to be 34 year old (although in a body of 20 year old ) and they sometime act like kids let alone teenage years when she is supposed to be out of it !

100% agree. It had a potential to be as good as Someday or one day but sigh ...

100% on point. Its like clicking on all the cliche check boxes and it still works among youngsters bcs they are good looking people ! I am okay with cliches if the relationship is built on solid base but here nope

Oh finally someone sharing my thoughts. Him having crush ruined it for me.Like what! After that i went haywire. Its like random fluffy scenes but if that relationship doesnt develop i cant get invested however good looking actors are. Like really they havent shared one single good discussion so far. Like literally nothing on their life , career passion nothing.. . Like i wanted that relationship to develop but well... apart from some really absurd annoying out of nowhere sequences for ex: fire sequence . It did nothing to add to the plot. It just comes and goes.

Agree. I just started yesterday and its like writers have mood swings. Some parts are real good and some are so badly written. Plot itself is fine its more execution and details part of it i suppose which is bad in certain sequence (fire sequence is the worst if you ask me)

haha agree but this is how real life is !! And this comes very close to that. They act like normal people which is rare !

FL is very young who has first time stepped out of her village ( that too from a village where everyone ignored them) so when she meets a upright , helpful and sensitive official in such a big position like ML she is bound to act like she met pop artist idol lol. Why cant she admire the person who treated her so well and is the personification of the ideal "judge" whose stories she has been listening since she was a kid. I found their interaction normal not over the top. For once ML & FL are not pig headed but communicate like normal people. Admire each other for their talents openly and actually listen to each other.

i have watched 13 episodes and surprisingly i found this interesting. Leads are sensible and communicate like normal people. I found their chemistry cute. FL is very young so we should remember that. bcs she might look immature sometime but she is willing to accept her mistake and learn from it. Overall for once i loved how leads interacted same with all the supporting roles. Its fun to watch. only complain i have is FL's attire. It just so out of place and keeps changing .

After long i guess after LBFAD i completed a fantasy drama and i must say overall a good drama. For once i didnt find ML spouting blood every episode or getting punishment every other episode . For once there was a good mix of power and emotion and FL too a sensible and powerful character. Best part for me is the yearning between the leads. Very few dramas show that yearning and i love it . Good watch. i found some things in last episodes a filler and boring unlike most of them who found first few episodes boring :)

Haha His characterisation and the make up was so bad in LBFAD i guess lot of people just ignored him ?

So true about the trope and pattern. I have slowed down now bcs i dont find anything new nowadays. But once in a while a show like Meet Yourself , Reset or Some day or one day surprises me. Even the ancient dramas no one does it like C dramas but somehow i realised only very few interests me. I dont see this kind of shows atleast in my country(India) or in American shows.

hmm. i loved FL in this. She was actual teenager when this was filmed! She becomes more and more serious and mature as the show goes on. I found her better than FLs in most youth dramas :)

Haha i am pretty late to this land. i got introduced to C Drama and Korean drama in late 2020 :)

i loved ZLH in Flourish in time . I got introduced to him luckily from this drama not from LBFAD like most people . His character with a sad childhood (and some incidents which i will not spoil for you) was portrayed so well by him. Over all i found the leads and their overall journey very well portrayed compared to some other"famous" youth dramas out there . Specially FL. Definitely not a "try hard" cute kiddish portrayals i see in many youth based dramas . As any other youth drama there is good amount of "time pass" school stuffs (and not so great second ML ) happening as well mind you. And this is purely their school to just before joining college journey so again sadly you will see only hugs no kisses.

TBH i think i loved it and gave such high rating bcs it was my first youth drama which was sort of mature in the sense that characters were very teenagers but not annoying or that stereotypical and at that time i was craving such shows so it holds special place for me ! Else may be i would give somewhere around 8.5 to 9 i guess!

I understand. It happens to me as well . Hows alchemy of souls? i have heard so much about it and its been in my list for long and havent yet come around to watch it

haha for me this drama ML is the most realistic portrayal of olden times general. Not a hot headed nor fully cold but a typical general who speaks with his actions. i loved his subtle acting !

This is definitely not for you then. There is no kiss scene at all. This is sort of forbidden tragic love story. You get hugs but no skinship. Its more of in the eyes and actions sort of love shown here. If you like such slow burn and chemistry where love is seen in their eyes and actions like me then you will love it else you will be disappointed

Exceptions exist but most women were not so that doesn’t mean they can’t be part of a story or they don’t have a story to tell so .. everyone need not be Mulan to be considered brave and powerful
