A Captivating Parallel World Romance

Another great officer romance from Japan, but this one hits on a completely different level. The darker cinematography instantly sets it apart from the usual light Japanese BLs, giving the story a moodier, more mature tone that I absolutely loved. I am obsessed with height-difference dynamics and Ogami and Kano being noticeably taller than average had me hooked from the very beginning. The story is intriguing, emotional, and layered in a way that pulls you in effortlessly. Both actors deliver incredible performances, capturing that mix of vulnerability, admiration, and unresolved tension perfectly. Their chemistry simmers quietly beneath every interaction, and I cannot wait to see how their feelings slowly transform into something deeper and undeniable. I am fully hooked already and what a fantastic start.

Love Found Again Under The Stars

What a beautiful and emotional episode. Communication was finally clear, feelings were finally heard, and after all the pain, they found their way back to each other. It felt like two hearts that had been wandering in the dark finally recognised the warmth they had been missing.Pheem apologised again and again, carrying the weight of his mistakes with real regret. No one is perfect and sometimes love shows its strength not in perfection, but in the willingness to admit the hurt you caused and the courage to try again. Than had many days without him, days filled with silence and confusion, and in that space he realised how deeply he missed Pheem. Sometimes you only understand the depth of your love when the person you need is no longer beside you.Their cuddling under the stars was so romantic and tender, like a promise that even after everything, love can still feel soft, safe and sweet. Two people holding each other as if the rest of the world no longer mattered. My theory is that the father faked his death. It is his own hospital and the doctors follow his orders. I feel he staged the whole thing to expose Risa and Chet in the final episode. Pheem may end up inheriting the hospital but his heart will not be in that world anymore. He will choose Than instead. I can see them leaving everything behind, moving to a quiet village, waking up side by side every morning with nothing but peace, love, and the simplicity of a life they built together.Sometimes money and power will not make you happy. Sometimes happiness is lying under the stars with the person you love, knowing that even after heartbreak and mistakes, you still found your way back to each other.

Confession on the Beach with Beautiful Wave Sounds

Hioki said, “I tried to go on a diet,” and there was something fragile in the way he said it, something that felt like he was reaching out without fully meaning to. Watarai’s response came softly, almost too naturally, as if the words had been waiting on his tongue: “Does that mean you want me to carry you again?” It wasn’t just teasing. It was worry, affection, and hope all tangled together, slipping through in a way he probably didn’t realize. It felt like an indirect “yes,” a confession hidden inside a joke only the two of them really understand.Their scene on the beach was almost overwhelming in how quietly emotional it was. The waves brushed the shore with a steady rhythm, like a heartbeat carrying their unspoken words. The wind wrapped around them, holding the silence that stretched between their breaths. And there they stood, so close, so vulnerable, both of them aching with things they had never quite dared to say. It was tender, raw, and beautifully honest in a way that felt impossible to look away from.It was such a stunning episode, the kind that lingers long after it ends. And now I am just waiting, heart definitely too invested, for the moment they finally choose each other openly and let themselves call it what it is: love.

The Most Emotional and Romantic Episode

Wow, episode 7 is my favourite episode. Phana finally realised how much Ping means to him. Sometimes you really do need time apart to understand how much you love someone. His confession to Ping and their kissing scene were so sweet and romantic. What hit me the most was Ping’s scene with his mother. I cried my eyes out. It was so emotional and they finally opened up to each other. There are always two sides to every story. Many people will hate his mother, but we have to remember she didn’t know her husband was a merman and had no idea how to cope with her son being half human and half merman. I’m so glad they opened up and were able to reconcile as mother and son.And finally, many will hate Phraphai, but without a villain this show would be boring. I actually like his character because he lies, manipulates and is so possessive of Nawa, which makes the show even more addictive.

When a Dirty Shirt Becomes a Love Hotel Adventure

Chiaki asked what kind of tea it was and Ae replied, that’s not tea, that’s lubricant. I couldn’t stop laughing.I love how unrealistic this episode is. In real life, if you dirty a shirt, you’d either take it to a self-service laundry, bring it home to wash, or just throw the shirt away. Who on earth goes to a love hotel and pays money just to wash a dirty shirt? It makes me wonder if Chiaki was acting clumsy on purpose so he’d have a reason to go to the hotel with Ae, or if he was genuinely clueless about going there just to clean a shirt. Either way, it was hilarious.

What a beautiful episode.

Just two souls, Minato and Shizuma, spending the day together at the theme park. It felt so sweet, almost like a little date, and it hit so much harder because of how gentle they were with each other. When Minato opened up about not having parents to take him to places like this, it was heartbreaking. You could feel how much that moment meant to him, and it made the whole scene even more emotional. And Shizuma… he’s dated girls before, but he finds Minato so captivating that he can’t look away. Hearing him admit he’s never stared at anyone this much was such a powerful moment.I’m hurting for them, I’m rooting for them, and I’m so excited to see where their relationship goes from here.

Hidden Love Beneath the Hatred

I did not see that ending coming in episode 4.J’s dreams are not ordinary dreams, they reach out and shape reality. In one of them, Jinn mentioned a book hidden beneath his drawer, a simple detail that felt too real to ignore. When J woke, he searched, and there it was — the book, filled with Jinn’s handwritten confessions, every line whispering the truth he had locked away. All this time, while they were tearing each other apart with anger and pride, Jinn had been in love with J. What looked like hatred was only a disguise, a way to hide the tenderness he couldn’t bear to reveal. It’s not enemies to lovers, it’s a tragedy of hidden affection, where love burns quietly behind cold words, waiting for one fragile dream to bring it to light.

Pheem’s Darkness and Than’s Fate: A Love Torn Between Revenge and Regret

The first time Pheem shot Than, it wasn’t near his vital organs as the doctor described. He was terrified that Than was about to expose the evidence. All his years of hard work, all his plans for revenge, would be destroyed in an instant. But more than fear, there was anger. His mother had been murdered, and he had grown up in another country, consumed by pain and vengeance. In that moment, revenge was all Pheem could see, and he pulled the trigger out of pure rage. Now, about the second shooting at the grave, here’s my theory. Pheem had no real choice. Risa orchestrated everything behind the scenes. She told their father that Than was a threat, that he couldn’t be trusted. So even if Pheem didn’t kill him, his father surely would. I don’t believe Pheem actually shot Than that night. The scene was cut, leaving so much open to interpretation. I think Pheem missed on purpose. Working in a hospital, he likely injected Than with something to fake his death. When the bodyguard came to check, it looked like Than was gone, but behind the scenes, Than contacted Aunty Nittaya, who secretly took him away to be treated in private. You can tell they loved each other so much. If Pheem truly wanted Than to die, why did he shield him and take the bullet for him in the last episode? He sacrificed his life to protect the man he loved. That moment alone shows that beneath all the anger and revenge, love was still the strongest force between them.I know many people believe their relationship can never be repaired after this, and I understand why. But we need to remember Pheem was never meant to be a green flag character. He has always been driven by revenge, haunted by loss. When he stood at his mother’s grave, he admitted that he finally avenged her, yet he felt nothing but sadness and emptiness. Because the one person he truly wanted beside him was Than.If Pheem had been perfect, this story would lose its depth and thrill. It’s his darkness, his brokenness, and the pain between him and Than that make this story so gripping and heartbreaking to watch. Hence why this show is so addictive, and I cannot wait to find out if my theory will be proven right in the next episodes.

Sweet Moments and Endless Cuteness! 💕✨

All five boys walking hand in hand down the street was pure adorable chaos! They even admitted it was embarrassing, but still did it anyway while laughing their hearts out, my serotonin levels went up instantly. And Hioki cuddling Watarai overnight because he was cold? That scene melted me completely. They’re just so soft and sweet together! Watarai finally confessed his feelings, and now we have to wait another 7 years 😭Never did I think a simple school trip plot could be this good. This show is fun, light, and ridiculously cute to watch. We’re almost halfway through, and honestly… I don’t ever want it to end. I could easily watch 100 episodes of them and never get bored!

A Hidden Gem Rising in Ratings

My all-time favourite genre is police and detective themed BL, especially those involving forensics or FBI style investigations. So far, only two have truly delivered in that area for me: The Sign and this one, Goddess Bless You from Death. And yesterday I was commenting that this series deserves more than 7.8. Just 24 hours after episode 2 was released, it increased to 8.1, and hopefully it keeps rising because this show truly deserves it. The attention to detail and the amount of police work and suspense are just so good.

Please do not judge too quickly

For anyone who felt lost after the first two episodes like I did, don’t give up and definitely don’t judge it too quickly. That confusion you’re feeling is exactly what pulls you in. If everything were explained straight away, all the mystery and tension that make this genre so addictive would vanish.Mystique in the Mirror is designed to leave you questioning, uneasy, and completely hooked. That is what makes it so fascinating. Honestly, I think the first two episodes were executed brilliantly. They set the perfect tone for a real psychological BL and left me dying to see what happens next.

Weird Kiss, Unstoppable Smiles

Episode 2’s kiss scene was hilariously weird yet absolutely adorable! I couldn’t stop smiling, it was so unexpected and cute. Honestly, these short 10-minute episodes hit harder and feel more fun than some 50-minute ones!

Haunted Hearts in the Forest

I loved episode 5, the zombie scene was so good and genuinely scary. When Siwat was possessed and Khunkhao kissed him to bring him back, it was so unexpected. Their hug afterward completely melted my heart. When their colleague saw them and stood there confused, it made me laugh so much.Poor Thara though, always the third wheel. He witnessed being stabbed in his past life, and now he feels the pain again in this one. This show is so good and so underrated. The visuals are stunning, surrounded by greenery and forest. I honestly don’t understand how those university campus BLs with cringe acting get more views than this one.
