While her schemes are annoying, I find her character a little tragic. Her fiance died and then so did her husband. Her family seems not to value her seeing how she didn't go to them for protection when she was being chased by Cheng Pang. I think the actress said smth about how if WS's brother didn't die, her life would've gone smoothly.

I feel so uneasy in the scene when XQ didn't directly answer WS's question about her staying by his side. Loving all the sweet moments, but then there is always the looming angst about to come 😭😭 I just wanna get it over with. No, the FL is the only one he is with. He doesn't treat her well in the beginning bc he only sees her as someone pretty. He does change by the end of the novel and realizes how he wronged her

I read it before and I liked it. I found it interesting because it's a rebirth but for the ML instead of the FL. It really depends on your taste. It's kind of a hard read bc the FL is forced to become the ML's mistress for survival. The ML attitude and treatment towards her is not great and the FL doesn't fight back since she needs his protection
