Although she is a controversial figure, I would watch a drama about Queen Jeongsun (the Queen dowager). I really…
I haven't watched it but there was a movie called The Fatal Encounter about political conlict of her and Yi San. The Yi San 2007 version of Deok Im (Han Ji Min) plays her there.
I saw a tweet from a Korean with a great interpretation of episode 17's last scene. Remember the scene where he was opening the door and the scene of Deok Im was dying? The interpretation of that was that the door was an option for him to go back to life (since the scene of him in his deathbed was shown before) and he chose not to open the door so he can be happy with Deok Im even if it's the afterlife. So the scene is really an afterlife.
I see many comparisons with Scarlet Heart but remember that this was the reality that actually happened to Jeongjo…
Completely agree. One, this story is completely Korean based on a real life story of a real life korean king and his real life concubine. Two, it's not like Deok Im time travelled from the future so there's no reincarnation wishing here (aka Moon Lovers season 2).
Any idea why Deokro changed his name? When that guy said «-no, Hong Gukyeong!» I got goodebumbs tbh I thought…
I think Deokro is a courtesy title. Similar to Uibin for Deok IM. Not sure why they used it instead of his real name though (but my idea is that the name Guk Young might not sound a good name to modern Koreans, similar to how the name Bertha is not always used today).
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's him. If we go by history, Yi San died in his late forties and this man…
it was released yesterday, they said this actor(Lee Soon Jae) will make an appearance at the last episode. Trivia: he played king yeongjo (yi san's grandpa) in Yi San 2007 drama.
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's him. If we go by history, Yi San died in his late forties and this man is older than that. He's also not wearing royal garment. I'm guessing he's Deok Im's brother, older version
to anyone who is watching this i wanna ask. which time does this drama exactly revolve around? since i see lee…
I don't know how this drama ends but this begins with the time when Lee Seong Gye is still a general. Has 32 episodes, this can possibly end with Lee Bang Won as king and Sejong as prince.
Hi! I hope I don't sound offensive but I hope you put your yes answer in spoiler. The couple having a happy ending is such a spoiler for this drama (even if people don't know how they'll be happy) since the premise of this drama doesn't even show whether male lead is truly good or not. Thank you.
I just noticed, King Jinheung of Silla's actor is the same as King Daeso in Jumong (Jumong's enemy/rival). Kim Seung Soo is always against Goguryeo royal
A new profile picture would be nice, the current one doesn’t do him justice. I’m on my second series watching…
Check out King and the Clown movie, it's his masterpiece project and the one that brought him fame. Moon Lovers is one of his popular works so it's worth checking out due to the hype, but if he's your only reason for watching it he doesn't have a lot of screentime in the earlier episodes. His performance (and his appearance) in the drama is so great though. Iljimae is one of his best performances too, his highest rated drama, and this was his last Baeksang nominated role (before Flower of Evil). If you want to check a modern drama, there is Time Between Dog and Wolf, dramawise, it's his best performance aside from Flower of Evil for me.
