This explains why San had to get another concubine after Deokim died. San and his Queen’s marriage are not love anyway, she was selected to marry him when both were just young children. Thus, I won’t call San a cheater, he actually doesn’t have a lot of concubines compared to other kings. Except for Deokim, he only got the other concubines for political purposes and to have a son who will follow him as king.
In the 2007 version of Yisan, you can see there San’s Queen and her reactions is that she wanted Deokim (called Songyeon in that drama) to be her husband’s concubine more than other women. She and Deokim/Songyeon were close friends in that show

there’s bromance, but it's not like they're romantic interests here. the male lead has a lot of friendly chemistry with lots of characters in the show.

I'm in the middle of watching. It's very entertaining and funny and almost all characters are well written. I came for Namgoong Min and Lee Jun Ho (I want to see them act together after realizing they are friends, olus they happen to be in my favorite early 2020s sageuks where they gave such stellar performances), they are so good and amazing here. I'm usually not a fan of Nam Sang Mi but she's been okay and even good to watch in the episodes I've seen. Hope the show continues to be good until the last episode.

I think his parents are divorced and he has younger half siblings. I'm not saying divorced parents equals greater probability to do bad things, but maybe the fact that he didn't come from a stable family may have contributed to his personality.

Gosh I hate him, Kim Sae Ron’s family might not be able to defend themselves because they can’t sue him because the age of consent back then was 13 years old.
The public won’t understand that he’s suing over the pictures and not the grooming allegations, which might mean dumb fans (especially my fellow Filipinos) will still praise him and hate Saeron more.
I really want Kim Sae Ron to win this battle, it will mean that the other big names in K-Ent (specially men) that it is a warning that them doing something really bad will lead to bad consequences for them and their careers. It’s a hard battle between a big popular name from such a powerful agency vs people who care about an unfortunate dead lady’s reputation

I always dislike him not only because his acting and the dramas I’ve watch of him are overrated, but I also knew him to be problematic because of that cyworld post and his statement of marrying a 21 year old girl at 40+ (I did not always express my opinion because he was popular and I was afraid of getting bashed). After knowing what happened to Kim Sae Ron, the Cyworld post feels creepily accurate to what happened to Saeron.

Flower of Evil is not her only hit. WLW fans love her since Painter of the Wind, sageuk fans love her since Painter of the Wind and Princess Man, she was part of Innocent Man which was hallyu actor Song Joong Ki’s first lead drama (it was her third lead drama already and the drama was well received), she’s also a part of Good Doctor which was so successful it even has a US remake (it was also penned by Park Jae Bum famous for Chief Kim/Good Manager, Fiery Priest, and Vincenzo). She’s also the only female role in the highest grossing movie in Korea of 2011 which was War of the Arrows.
To be honest she should have been internationally famous 12 years ago. I’d dare say she deserves the hallyu fame more than Kim Soo Hyun (both have successful sageuks released within a few months of each other then they also were both part of high grossing films released within a year of each other, these happened in the years 2011-2012), her sageuk drama and her acting in that was better than his.

It seems like a good show but I want her to be the main lead 😔.

episode 10 in this is not the ending, you have to watch part 2. part 1 and part 2 are technically just one season kdrama, but this was divided to parts because the second part aired a month after the last episode of the first part. she and he will meet again a few episodes within part 2 so just check what happens.
i think she loves him but chose to stay for her family because she is a responsible woman. they are still her family after all. if she ran away with him, they would be shames

she does, otherwise she wouldn’t have been his concubine in the end. she never revealed her love for him because it’s the only thing she can keep. he’s a king, she’s a court lady turned concubine they can never be equals. as a court lady turned concubine, she has to live her life for him and wait for him but he cannot dedicate himself fully to her as he has a queen and a nation to rule. thus the words “i love you” are the only things she can keep for herself.
