I'm loving this drama. I just hope the ratings get higher. I want more international recognition for historical dramas like this. I wish this was on Netflix.

I hope this drama keeps being good as more episodes are released.

He’s very funny too, especially in the second episode when he cant remove his armor while the crown prince is in the water.

I dont even know why some people think Deok ro is Deol Im’s sister. I mean she even stated she might like him when she met him while she gave water to him.

Rewatching now, I realized more than ever the characters in this drama are so crazy. Everyone acted so well though, and Song Joong Ki's chemistry with both Moon Chae Won and Park Shi Yeon are excellent.

First two episodes for that is really good for me. The second episode feels like a romcom, but I believe that drama will become more of a melo sageuk as more episodes air.

Maybe he didn't remember the woman in the forest? How much time has passed since he met her? She did save his life yes, but at this point in the story he's too in love with Crown Prince Hwi to remember the forest girl. It's different from Dami/Yeonseon who he got to spend time with in the past (plus I think Dami/YeonSeon is a part of his lost innocent childhood, a childhood he lost when he saw his father killed the teenage servant girl). For me, I think forest girl is just a one time crush. Maybe he had short time crushes during his stay in Ming too, I'm sure he's forgotten them now. So this is my reasoning why Ji woon not remembering forest girl in Lee Hwi is perfectly understandable.

I think the writer (or director???) explained that the title is Flower of Evil based on this sentence: "Even when there is evil, flowers can bloom". It describes Do Hyun Soo's character, even though his past is tragic and there's a lot of bad influence around him, he can still be able to live as a genuine good person. The sentence can also describe his marriage to Cha Ji Won, it may have been a marriage that started as a lie (since he married her under another person's identity), but out of that union great love really bloomed for both him and his wife.

Just finished my rewatch. I still love this couple so much. Both leads are really amazing actors and so do the supporting characters. It feels different rewatching this since I already know the drama's secret plot. A rewatch in my experience is good since I was able to pick up minute details that I didn't notice the first time that are essential to the drama's plot.

A must watch documentary. This documentary helped me open my eyes against the Marcos myths my whole family believes. It may appear as biased to some pro-Marcos people (as the people interviewed from the other side almost all belong to the same political party), but it is essential at least for people to do some research based on actual facts while using this documentary as a resource for people to know the actual truth of what happened in the past.

Me too, in this episode at least, I enjoyed her scenes with the king more than with Rowoon.

Cousin romance was normal among royals even up to 100 years ago. Europe example: The King of Norway in the 1930s and his Queen are first cousins. Even in Queen Seon Deok drama, Kim Yu Shin (one of Deokman's lovers) is her first cousin.

Unlike most, I don't really classify this as a noona romance. Song Hye kyo and Song Joong Ki only have 4 years age gap.

I am enjoying her in The Red Sleeve

I think the they used the female chipdhood parts effectively. We did see the scene of her conversing with the king about the life of concubine. And the king did give her a book which I think will be important later.
