Ah the cheap script...keeps creating plot out of total dumbness of FL.. who cannot even say to her friend that some dude is threatening her over the phone to hurt her sister. CAN it be more dumb... ??? And the music.... so hysterical all the time although it is not asked for, so the effect of suspense is lost . I am SO glad that this miserable show of misery seems to end at ep 17. We the audience are saved, glory be to the Gods, now the real show begins.

So I forgive the cheap script so far, they didnt drag it too much, 17 episodes is plenty ENOUGH to provide a good contrast of how much she changed. Someone else below wrote a great post about why these cheap miserable scenes were used. We got to see her first "instant" transformation from a chicken running around without a head to someone rooted, determined and solid, ........ and we got a peek of how she kept transforming........ I also hope the music will change too :) And that she will keep growing... Bc the trick about revenge is not getting sucked into it...

Now the fun part is how she will hook up with Moon guy - neither one of them can say openly they are revenging and she has no idea about his past. HE will know about her though so he might come out first. And I wonder how Stella will help .....

Moon dating one of the three Miss Devils - or being friends with them, like he tried to befriend Se Ri on the plane - that was weird he was ..... flirting? ... with her - I hope he did not become a gigolo to get the revenge :) But we will find out...

Moon actor imo is a classic body builder type. He is a great actor, luckily. Better than the FL so far. And as for his hair, that is his unique thing - no other drama characters have hair like that so he will be easily remembered
Oh Queen's House old chairman had that hair style but it looked old and stale on him bc he was a skinny old man. Moon guy has a very strong, large body, so that "lion mane" hairstyle with nice white teeth looks PERFECT on him, imo. I think he looks handsome and unique.

I personally get annoyed with hair styles where hair goes over eyes and I cannot see the eyes. There is lots of that now, looking like cartoon characters. I want to see the eyes that is where a lot of acting happens. Also I keep thinking the person cannot see as all that hair is itching their eyeballs

Let's have a "competition" to figure out what kind of lie Se Ri would put out in a given situation. She is such a master manipulator and liar, and works ah so well on social engineering, so I would like to compile a list of ideas of what she would say LOL

for example, how will she get out of being caught as an industrial spy... ?
Figuring her out is fantastic for figuring out all politicians, cheaters, etc LOL

omg this is rigged. I just saw Marlee vs HOneybee J or however she is called .. there is J at the end... ... the VERY first battle - wow that Marle cannot dance. She just showed off. So I think the Judges let her win because they want american audience to watch this.
Sorry to the Korean dancer, she IS the better dancer, a lot more moveable. Sorry she lost to POLITICS. It was clearly rigged. Yeah I am a dancer myself and I can put it on the dotted line, Marle's dance was just walking around showing off. NO skillZ. Maybe she showed them later.... but definitely not to win that very first battle

The music in this drama is just too much,it is too hyper, too strong for the scenes. Maybe some ppl like it that way but I think it is just overwhelming. There is no break to breathe anywhere. And there are just too many hysterical cruel women or just hysterical women so it is very jarring - the cruel CEO yelling, then Mom of Mi So yelling, Mi So yelling, the nasty teenager Se Ri yelling, .... Plus a screaming heavy music... I suggest ... a little bit less because less is more. Dont overwhelm the viewer

Now the filming and scenes has improved, in ep 16 (which I just watched in Korean so I did not understand, I just watched and listened) - the scenes were just right, not too fast, and the acting was good. In those big "slow" scenes the acting has to be good, no makjang there... Well except the women screaming LOL Thats not acting, that is screaming... all those women are absolutely crazy. Maybe a little less of that would be good :) The nasty psychopath female CEO ***can*** be scary with less screaming :) Se Ri is mentally disabled so she can scream a lot

people who are good at business, snoop around "their" business trying to hear what the customers and employees are saying and doing. Snooping around (and also stopping to talk to people) is a sign of a very astute and capable business owner.

hm i am a dancer and I think their dancing was nothing worse than you usually see out there by "young" people... It was fine. And the Dancer brother *is* a good dancer, he is springy and bouncy

GS is not ready in many ways. She is not committed and she does not act as a loyal team member. For example, the elevator incident - saying Oppa in public in front of a complete stranger, at his workplace, during his work hours. in spite of his body language saying I DONT KNOW YOU!!! DONT SAY ANYTHING!!!! - and other "cannot read the room" bloopers are of concern. She is going to be a Chairman's wife but she is socially a clutz that can ruin him so much.

Also, her lying. I cannot stand the "anio!" plots. If you cannot speak honestly, you are NOT in a relationship. You are a liar. ****YOU ARE LYING TO SOMEONE'S FACE.***** Lying by definition kills relationships.
And the argument "I was acting to prevent harm to you" is a complete bs. A liar is acting to prevent an inconvenience to themselves, to have to deal with the recipient reacting to the truth and possibly lashing back in retaliation. That's what "anio" and "consideration" is all about. There is NOTHING considerate about it, except consideration of one's own ego.

The bottom line is, GS doesnt really really care for Chairman. He was helpful to her, so she treats him as a business contact and so she won't piss him off, so she allows him to drag her along, but she really does not treat him as a partner. As a woman, she is totally turned off. She doesnt even call him. And all conversations are that polite glossy generic sneer passing as a smile. It is all fake. That chick does not care for him.
And he doesnt treat her as a partner either, but more of ... his ... well how to say it politely... his ... younger subservient toy. He now behaves as an old impotent man who has befriended a ... teenage interest.... I am not describing it very well in words.

He was cute and lovely when they were in the hospital, he was so ALIVE, sitting next to her, listening to music with her, playing the board game with her, using the chances to touch her and flirt,
and since then it all disappeared, ... he is just a sugar daddy big uncle impotent grandpa "sponsor" type of character to her.

she is ill so she is bitter and angry. THAT has to be exposed

she has the right to say her opinion since she stuck around as "family / good friend" for 15 yrs. She was there for him and the kids when the mom died. BUT she has no right to keep repeating her opinion in spite of Chairman saying he doesnt agree. Also, it is clear she is just a nasty BITTER old person bitching about everything and anything. The real issue is to dig a little deeper to find out WHY her general attitude is so angry. If you really care for a "family / good friend" of 15 years, then you find out what happened to their life so that they became so bitter

yeah bc the big issues were exposed... but then ... there is THE NEXT PEAK, incorporating all that internally.... which should be shown by details from their lives... and that is missing

nah overextended. Just not developed. There is so much to develop but the script writer gets their plot from conflicting events intead of showing internal growth of characters, which SHOULD BE showing now as they put the major obstacles aside

but honestly that is why I like kdramas... I like to see how people work their as# off to change themselves and the situation and bring peace to themselves and the family situation, if possible. That is their leftover Buddhism, that sense of self-responsibility and ability to self reflect and change, and it is wonderful to see it applied. It is educational and uplifting.

And provides workable ideas for solutions that can be applied to one own's life.
I am not saying I like everything 100%. There is sexism, etc etc etc. There are many flaws so as a viewer, I am not 100% taking it in as a gospel LOL I am saying, there are many great ideas for how to try and how to deal with things, and I do like seeing people who try to make things better.

One thing that helped me personally was that kdramas do not hesitate to expose bad mothers. They are sexist so there are MANY more kdramas with bad mothers rather than bad fathers.

Where I am from, you cannot touch the topic of bad mothers, you cannot say anything bad about any mother unless she is doing something really criminal like beating kids, starving them, cheating, etc But anything less than that is allowed. So all manipulations, exploitation, etc are allowed and cannot be talked about. So personally it was helpful to me to see bad selfish mothers exposed.

Also, the teamwork in the family, etc etc etc. Also it is helpful to me to see kdramas show either leaving after it is determined it cannot be salvaged, but always trying with working out stuff

I dislike lying "for the sake of consideration of another" bc that is just a cheap way to create drama episodes :)

So I like that many kdramas show meaningful conversations and working things out. That to me is precious and no other media has that.
