Nah there is a difference.... Jae In refused to look into reality even when she SAW bad stuff and even when told to look.
Her mother did the right thing in starting to investigate, and made mistakes in not checking fully and then killing the wrong person. So she is karmically responsible for that, and went to prison.

On the other hand, Jae In was WILLINGLY ignoring all signs, and thus caused death and suffering to so many people, her son and herself included. That is bad karma. She is responsible and the damage she caused HAS TO BE karmically repaid. Yeah she has been conditioned to behave that way, perhaps, but she is an adult and any unwillingness to ACT on what she sees is bad karma and she has to repay it.

Her being naive and gullible little good girl is beyond dumb, that is mental illness. Her mother warned her, her SIL, she saw with her own eyes kissing and MIL lies, and she STILL ignored it. She was yelling YOBO! tied to the bed after her Cheater TOLD HER off.....

Jae In is an indirect villain, her ignorance allows villains to reign unchecked, so she is guilty herself, her dumbness aka WILLING DENIAL OF REALITY has caused death and suffering of so many people. I reflected on what I wrote earlier. I was upset that my fav characters did stupid stuff and could have died EASY, that really pissed me off, so I disliked that ep at first. Now when I think of it, it was actually pretty good. The good stuff took over. Now I remember the ep as very good, actually.
I realized that earlier I did not mention ONE profound but seemingly simple detail - when the boys were going to do some bad stuff, Shaman talked to them and explained why it was a bad idea, and YG Imugi *** listened *** and *** understood *** and then *** changed his behavior. *** THAT was one of the most powerful scenes that can EVER possibly be made. AND IT WAS REPEATED TWICE!!!!! the second time, BOTH boys got it. Yay.

What a contrast between the immature Bibi doing stupid stuff and YG Imugi acting out of care and true love and open heart and willingness to Grow. The paradox is that Bibi is a deity and YG Imugi is in human body. FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!!

YG imugi made bigger progress on his character in those last 2 months while in active relationship with the Shaman, much more than 1000 years meditating alone. he was a selfish callous bitter dude after 1000 years and now there he is, often and increasingly more caring considerate character who communicates, self reflects, learns, ... Food for thought.

I disagree about the twist, imo the script is very twisty and quite wicked :) and talks about some very deep stuff underneath all those fights and romance. I agree about the ML acting, it is convincing

Wow I completely disagree. I think this is super creative and fun... I think you want Hollywood special effects? But to me that is so not creative. It is DEAD. Like seeing the entire 8 ft monster - that is not even scary BC YOU SAW IT. I like Hitchkok ALLUDING TO SCARY bc it is a lot more scary :) I like how Koreans create drama and mood with acting and simple costuming. I am thinking the perfect hair of Do Min the alien in "My love from another star" or in this kdrama, the snake skin that shows up when needed.

omg I totally disagree with this. This kdrama is twisty and everything is a surprise... not predictable at all. Also, Kdramas are incredibly creative and imo the best

After ep 20 I better understand YG doctor sister-in-law. We all wondered WHY she stays married and in that house. Well.. my conclusion is that she is an extremely insecure, immature, selfish, weak person, coward, not smart, prone to delusion, full of self pity and excuses, and also passive agressive bully and LIAR, a jealous slimey backstabber.
