So this kdrama, just like any piece of art, is seen through the eyes of the viewer, so whatever the viewer sees, is what the viewer is capable of seeing. That is a paradox, but that is how it is - WHEN A PICKPOCKET MEETS A SAINT, HE SEES ONLY THE POCKETS :) A bird sees the sky, a fish sees the water, and the lion sees the meet. SO - whatever you see, is already inside you :)
Therefore, the drama can be seen on different levels. On one level, there is fighting, evil spirits.. On another level, there is kissing... On another level, politics.... and so on... The trick part is that each person in the audience can see only what they can see :) And to really get the most out of any story, and GROW with it, you need to investigate BEYOND what you are currently capable of seeing :) There is a lot more beyond fights and romance here...

This drama goes beyond just romance. It is about Imugi's ascension. He tried to sit alone quiet for 1000 years and got nowhere. And now, within like a month, he made a LOT more progress... The romance is a vehicle for transformation. The drama speaks a lot about Imugi's "coming of age" and TRANSFORMATION into someone more loving and caring as he learns about humans. He is not selfish anymore. And yeah the process was super funny and cute and involved some kissing, to make it palatable and understandable to the audience and also, realistic and also fun :) That is a paradox.

**** The romance is not really about the kissing but of the waking of the Imugi's heart and his ability to serve unconditionally.**** And paradoxically, that helps his enlightenment since the enlightenment is all about that ...

The idea is very paradoxical, a deity is growing closer to Divine by being in human body and really practicing love, care, compassion, patience, communication, understanding, learning, etc.

Think about it. The imugi isnt selfish nor negative nor angry revengeful etc anymore.... he has a LOT better character although he is in a mere human body. Look at deity Bibi who is just DUMB versus a much more "enlightened" mature Imugi in human body...

THAT SHOULD MAKE YOU THINK VERY VERY VERY HARD about what the moral of the story is.... :) and what is the purpose of living in a human body.

We all reading this are in a human body. If you are not, raise your hand LOL Apparently even an Imugi gets into a human body to learn too. So that is relevant to all of us here :)

If the kid saw him, I would say the kid is responsible for the dragon not ascending, why blame it on the royal bloodline??? hello... ? that seems rather dumb... But.... It is not the kid's fault that he saw him... !!!! children see everything anyways Lol and why would then-king be guilty?? for keeping children up at night... ??? It just doesnt make sense...

Bibi did something so STUPID that he had to pay A LOT karmically. There was no way out.
If Bibi were more mature, he would have talked it out and THAT would be what he deserves better, a good learning experience and inner change. But he chose to play dumb games and there was no way to retract, he went to far. He drove me bananas. Essentially, it was "drunk driving at 100mph" situation leading FOR SURE to a car accident
I accept it now. My hars reaction was the audience rooting for good characters and not wanting them dead: (esp bc I am dealing with super unjust lawsuit stealing homes in Hawaii, so i really WANT good guys to win) I am now at peace with ep 11 :) Namaste :)

THIS IS WHAT I ORIGINALLY WROTE WHEN I WAS SO UPSET ABOUT "DRUNK DRIVING AT 100mph AND GETTING INTO CAR ACCIDENTS" situations lol : and I added some comments to it later too when I calmed down:

Wow Bibi is dumb.... HOW can he think he is protecting someone when he is fighting them, exposing them to danger, etc.... making deals with bad ppl??? What is Bibi's IQ? I mean, even someone STUPID should think twice before making deals with gangsters...

I like this drama a lot.. and I think this episode is the stupidest episode and I would call it ... trash :) But yeah that is a legit plot. Deities can be stupid too :) But I am not impressed by this plot.
LATER I REALIZED I WAS REALLY PISSED OFF SINCE GOOD GUYS WERE GOING TO DIE. I VERY MUCH DISLIKED THE IDEA :)

I did not mind that he QUICKLY got what he asked for. Imo It was good he got it sooner, before more ppl got killed. It was good he redeemed himself by jumping in to fix the mess he started. But wasnt that supposed to make the 8ft monster cross over and disappear?.... ??

Also, I am not impressed by the king challenging the bad guy all alone. That is dumb too :) But yeah that is a legit plot, everyone can act stupid :)

I think I understand what one of the ppl here was saying - THE KEY VILLAIN IS JAE IN bc she is an adult yet willingly behaves like a small child who has to obey everything that the "family" says, and with that naivete, dumbness and her INSISTENCE on denial, *****she causes harm and death to so many people, including herself and her son. ***** Where is her son when she is put away? Her son could DIE

She lives in this rosey world that exists only in her head, and he hangs onto that delusion at the expense of her life, lives of those around her and the entire company and more. SHE IS INCREDIBLY SELFISH AND WEAK. BECAUSE SHE CANNOT STAND PAIN, SHE PRETENDS THAT SHE NEVER SAW OR HEARD ANYTHING.
Her hubby TOLD her that he did it and she still yells YOBO! after him to get his help... Woww... this is serious mental illness issue...

Jae In is a wealthy heiress and she does not have the BASIC brain cells to think that people will be trying to exploit her and that she has to be careful. Even the poorest person keeps their eyes open in order to survive in the world. Jae In doesnt think even about the basics.

Jae In is an adult, her mother warned her, now her sister-in-law warned her, she SAW kissing, she SAW MIL lies, AND SHE IS STILL APOLOGIZING.. wow. That is ...an evil villain. She doesnt care for anyone but her own little rosey bubble. She lives in this made-up imaginary rosey world that exists only in her head. So yeah, she does have some kind of mental illness like schizofrenia or something, I am not a doctor so I cannot say what it is, but it is definitely an illness out of weak character, she is totally totally out of touch with reality.

BUT MY MIL IS GIVING IT TO ME OUT OF LOVE SO I TRUST HER 100% is the thinking here. As if Jae In is a very very small child who has to obey adults in every way.

MIL is an interesting character, isnt she... ? She is dumb in many ways so that's why the top tier predator like Se Ri uses her... and also smart in harming people... so again that makes her a perfect tool in the hands of Se Ri... bc she is GREEDY MEAN AND DUMB ...

bc she is dumb AND she has so much $$$$ so she is ah perfect ideal victim :)

YG is protecting her hubby so she will NEVER be on Jae In's side.... I think YG is hanging around Jae In as a friend just to make sure that Jae In never learns about kidnapping etc

i think he is counting on nobody checking and that it is 2 different countries, so nobody will go after him...

I think one of the key villains is Jae In :) Her insistence on DENIAL and her dumbness and naivette has caused pain, harm and/or death of so many people.

At this point I think she is mentally ill :)
