YES. Finally, someone else thinks that. They had such a strong and complex novel, and they completely blew it. I loved E1 a lot, but then it just kept getting more and more underwhelming.

I can no longer handle LJ. Such an immature, ungrateful, self-absorbed character, I have no words for him any longer. This, plus considering the bad acting of at least 50% of the cast, is making this series physically painful to watch, so I will probably drop it. A pity, I really love some aspects of it, and BJ's actor is phenomenal.

Nope, not happy at all. It's horrendously made, and while I liked some ABO moments, for the most part, it feels like their main goal is to prove that they know what Omegaverse is. So they include all possible ABO aspects, do tons of info dumps, and meanwhile, they forgot to create a plot.

Haha, in the book, Fan Xiao mentions that his painting of You Shulang was one of the worst works he ever did because he kept getting distracted by him :D I think he paints him properly only post-canon. But yeah, I wish we could see it, too.

Same here, he's the only reason I keep watching since I find the relationship itself and the LJ character deeply unsatisfying.

Yes, absolutely. Like, you know I heavily dislike Double Helix, but I think DH is a masterpiece in comparison to Knot :D It feels like they invested zero effort into it. Any average fanfic writer could come up with a better concept.

Honestly, I don't think it's appropriate for Phatsa to scold the brothers at this point. He's new to this house and family, he comes across as meddling and very impolite to me during these scenes.

Haha, right? I'm still watching, but mostly because I'm fascinated by how far the plotless story can actually go.

I think Fan Xiao is actually malicious, while Big Jane isn't, imo. In fact, this is one of the biggest plot mysteries to me: I have no idea why all the other characters fear him so much. He doesn't lie or force anyone into contracts. People just make deals with him, sometimes not of the best kind, and then he expects payment for it, that's all. Sadly, it doesn't look like he's supernatural, which makes blood contracts a bit silly.

I do think it's objectively written badly. There are way too many non-sensical arcs, character decisions, and 'twists.' But I also agree that, strangely, too many people complain about toxicity with this show in particular, even though I don't think it's all that toxic compared to some other big favorites.

Yep. That's my huge problem with this series. Why would I care about them breaking up when they weren't shown developing a real loving relationship? The book isn't written well, but it showed why and how they fell in love much better.

It's not written well and has a lot of tropes people tend to dislike.

Well, I'm not from Thailand, but personally, I'm finding the series disappointing, even though I was really hyped after the trailer. I don't think they established the relationship well, I don't believe for a second these two managed to fall in love before all the drama hit. It was too weak and too rushed. I also think the writing for LJ isn't good, and the actor lacks some skills. So I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't find the show all that enjoyable, though it's weird if it's mostly a Thailand thing. There are way worse shows in Thailand that are still popular.

Sometimes outsiders see the situation better than those involved. In the series, LJ is not mature enough to withstand the force that is PJ, I think it's very obvious when you compare him to his book version. But then PJ is also a reddish flag, so he'd need some talking to about his own behavior!

It was clearly said for a role-play :D Of course you can like whatever version of characters you like, tastes are subjective anyway. But if I were actually talking to PJ and he was my friend, then yes, I'd tell him his taste is bad because LJ is too immature to date him. Though I'd be subtler about it.
